Restricting of output of PO Documents from ME23N

Dear Team,
I want to bind users to use ME9F for outputting of PO documents as there are some archiving functions activated with ME9F.
But as of now my users used to take desired output from ME23N only.On print preview they used from menu :
Text->Print....
we want to disable this option for every SAP Login. .Canany body suggest what would be the authorization for doing the same
or any other way out to disable this...

Hi,
You have to make changes in the program with the help oABAPer. Please set the OPTIONS-TDNOPRINT as X, Where OPTIONS LIKE ITCPO. (Resembles structure ITCPO) . To execute this just go to TCODE SE37 and display FM OPEN_FORM. Go to Source Code and put a Break-point at the possible first line (I think it is CHECK CO_PERFORM-ACTIVE <> TRUE. ).
Now When you are trying to issue an ouput for your PO you will stop at this Break Point. Just check the value of OPTIONS-TDNOPRINT set to X. Thanking you.

How to restrict Firefox to open word document in browser window with href

How to restrict firefox to open word document from a website link to open in the browser window, instead it should open in native program.
1.I have tried other website, and have clicked on similar links they are opening word document correctly in native program
2. MS word document from one specific site is opening in browser causing junk character in place of word document.

Restriction in Output on transaction VF03 - Display Billing Document

Hi Experts,
Is there any way to restrict the Output on transaction Display Billing Document, I mean, on transaction VF03 and after you select a Billing document (Document number), go to Billing Document -> Issue Output to. This is because we currently have an Output Selection with two message types and what we need is to restrict one of the message types for a group of persons.
Can this be restricted using authorizations? Is there any way to restrict this?
I made some tests using system trace (ST01) but I couldn't find the way to restrict this.
Can somebody help please?

The message types are invoice forms.
We have implemented an electronic invoice schema in our organization, and now when you want to print an invoice the system gives you two options for printing a document. Each of the options are message types that manage certain values and put them in a print form, so what we want to do is that only managers can access to option1 and the rest of the organization can access option2.
This means that when managers try to print the invoice using option2 the system won't let them. They only will print invoices from option1.
I tried to look for an authorization object in order to try to force the restriction with it, but I couldn't find one.
This objects are called output types and what we need to do is restricting the use of the output types based on values for option1 and option 2 using Z roles.

Restrict download of documents from a Document library

Hi,
I am working on a trial version of SharePoint online E3. I enabled IRM on it with a hope that it will restrict "DOWNLOAD" of documents from a document library itself. However to my bad, it seems it allows downloading... with imposed restrictions.
Can anybody help me in this? I need only some of the users to be able to download/print/copy documents from library and NOT all of them. Rest can only view the document. Is it possible in SP Online?
Is it possible in SharePoint 2010 or is it the same in here as well?

How to create new documet from the output of another document automatically

here is the scenario, If we are creating an debit memo request and debit memo to a customer, from the output of this debit memo we need to trigger the creation of another document( Ex credit memo to another customer) automatically, how we can do this?

You need to create another report program for the other document along with the smartform.
In the report program, you have to put your logic on how the other document has to be found when your document is created and the output be triggered.
So in principle,
There will be two programs linked to your output type.
One will create the output of the document which is being created,
Another program will automatically call the other target document in change mode and trigger the same output, during which the second program will be executed.
Now the second program will create the output for the second document.
Making copy controls wont help for this reqmt.

Restrict billing document from saving

Dear Gurus,
One our clients' demand is that they need to restirct billing docuements from saving if accounting documents cannot be generated. In standard process as you know, if a proper GL account is not assigned, or an inappropriate condition type is given we are able to save a billing document, but with an accounting error. In such case, is there any way to stop this document from being generated if its gonna result in an accounting error?

I doubt whether the functionality you need is available in SAP Standard.
You will have to apply a User Exit which will check the succesful Account Determination & only then create (save) Invoice.
Probably the following Ueser Exits will help:
1. EXIT_SAPLV60B_001
2. USEREXIT_ACCOUNT_PREP_KOMKCV

Cannot open document from library or mapped drive.

When attempting to open a document from a SharePoint library the document hangs cannot open. If I open the library in explorer view I see the file but when trying to open it also hangs.   When I try to download a copy I do get a correlation id
which I can find in the logs.

Based on the error message, I recommend to verify the things below:
1. Check the permission of your account on the documents and the library.
2. Check if the library has set the Information Rights Management(IRM).
Please go to the library settings > Information Rights Management under Permissions for Management.

When I try to open a Pages document from iCloud, created on my iPad, I get message stating I need a newer version of Pages. When I go to app store all I get is "installed" when looking at pages app. my Macbook pro is up to date with all updates.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.
Note: Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

I have created an o/p type ZPO using NACE ..Can some one tell me how to get the PO number in the smart form and in the print program from ME23N ,so that I can then program the necessary calculations?plz help me with the code.Thanks in advance.

Does anybody know a way of protecting PDF documents from printing and/or copying? All this within the OS possibilities? Is there a way?
know one can buy expensive programmes like from Adobe, but I use it so little that I would like a cheaper solution. Freeware would be great, shareware also.

No way to do that using the OS (although the entire pdf can be encrypted, once the password is applied the document is open for copying/printing).
However, the freeware PDFLab does allow password protection, the 'owner' pw allows full access, the 'user' pw can be restricted for printing, copying, etc:

This can also be done with Adobe's Create PDF Online, but the above is free, and works well.

Configuring the file server in KM and access,edit the documents from it

Hi friends,
My requirement is to configure the file server where u will have all the structured and unstructured data stored here. So users can share the documents and create, edit ,save the documents from the file server itself.
In KM what kind of file servers are there apart from the one it supports by default.
Can anybody pls provide the configuration steps regarding how to configure the file server i KM.
To configure the file server is webDAV protocol required?

Dear Sireesha,
Well KM supports mostly all the File server however we have some restrictions with Novell FS and Sharepoint Server from Microsoft. Like versions and other meta data have some issues.
Alsothough to configure a File Server you need to first create a FS repository Manager. Details can be found in the help guide:

Yes WebDAV protocol is required here.

Yes, that can be done. But note that all administrators will have the same right to print, so you need to make sure the users are not administrators. You can include a macro to disable printing, but if the users disable macro, they can print the documents.
Hence, there is no foolproof way to prevent printing documents. If you still need a foolproof security, PDF format provides password based security (viewing doesn't require a password) that can be implemented to prevent the document from printing,
which doesn't require any special scripts and is tough.

How can you create a writable PDF document from a PPT presentation ? Upper part with the image , lower part with a free space in order to take notes for students during presentation or course.

You can make a PDF file out of you notes and handouts but using the Adobe PDF printer.
Open your PowerPoint Document then go to “File” “Print”
Select ‘Adobe PDF” Printer
Under slides, select which way you want to print. Note it will not print to a printer but to a PDF file.
After then go into printer Properties and Setup PDF properties, do the following: (see second image below)
Default: PDF/A 1-b
Adobe Security: none (change as needed)
Adobe Output folder: Prompt for Adobe file name
Adobe Page size: Letter (change as needed)
Check the following check boxes
View Adobe PDf Results,
Add Document Information,
Rely on system fonts only,
Delete Log files for successful jobs.
Select OK
A pop will ask you where you want to save the document. The file extension should be PDF. After giving the file name select okay and the file should popup as a PDF. Down side is if you want to speaker notes included then you will have to do another file, like wise with just screen shots then combine into one PDF document.
I used Acrobat IX Pro. So to do this you need Acrobat IX or X Pro.

Warning "No message generated for output of purchasing document" disabled

Hello Gurus
When a PO in ME21N is created and for some reason there was no output message determined the system should give a warning message "No message generated for output of purchasing document". It causes troubles because buyers don't know when they press SAVE whether output was made or not.
Please advise where to enable this feature.
Note: This happens not always and not for every user.

This message is automatic , i have not seen any config driving this.
If there is no output message type maintained for document type or requirement is met , system by default issue the warning message 'No message generated for output of purchasing document' .
Check the user GUI setting , may be warning messages are ignored for display.
Logon to SAP -> Customization of Local Layout (ALT+F12)-> Options -> Options tab -> Dailog Box at warning Message ( tick the Check box).
After this try creating PO from user Login , it should display a dialog box even for warning.
