Restriction of conversion planned order

Hi SAP Gurus,
I have question. Exists any way, how to set up, that planned order could be converted to productin order only 14 days before planned start?
Thaks
Lukas

Hi Lukas,
You can mantain schedule margin key for the plant in customizing and mantain the opening period as 14 days.  You need to mantain the material  master with schedule margin key.
With the opening period mentioned, when planned order is created it would subtract 14 days from order start date.
Do let me know if it suits your requirement.

  • Conversion planned order to production order without BOM - no message

    Hello
Problem: during conversion planned order to production order system does not inform (warning or error) that BOM is not exist. Is it possible  to force system to any reaction by standard configuration ?
Everything is ok if production order is created by CO01, but during conversion there is no any reaction - production order is created, released etc. I only see by system status that something is wrong (NMAT - No material components). Probably we will have to do it by User Exit but I want to know that all standard configs are exhausted.
    Thx in advance. Reg.
    Joanna

    Hello
The BOM is not read again when a planned order is converted to production order on the standard system.
You may implement the modification from note 391846 to force master data to be read again, therefore, an error message will be triggered during the conversion when the BOM is invalid.

  • Restriction on sending planned orders to SAP R/3

    Dear all,
can anybody explain me the details as how can i control the transfer of transcation data to SAP R/3 either by timeline, or by PPDS production or SNP production horizon.
Scenario: We are planning cycle for 1 year where in we use 6 months consensus plan and 6 months annual business plan. now from management for business procurement is allowed only for 3 months, and want to control of transfer of transcation data to SAP R/3.
As my requirement is i need to send only the transcation data of 3 months only for execution. i.e. Transcation data with startdate comes within 3 months should only be transfered to SAP R/3.So that only purchase requisitions with in 3 months will be utilised and not of all year.
In short need a control on use of Pur. Req. being utilised.
Early reply will much more helpful.

I dont know it will clear my problem, suggestions on this greatly appericiated.

In transaction /SAPAPO/RRP7 you have fields Offset for Opening Period and Start Date (Instead of Opening Period).
The Opening Period is a field in the Location-Product Master (PPDS tab) which can be set based on the Products PP or SNP Horizon values.
As a result when you carry out conversion based on a certain Offset for Opening Period - for different products different horizon gets considered for selecting order for conversion.
F1 help for Offset for Opening Period mentions:
Number of calendar days by which the opening period for conversion should be increased.
The system uses the opening period to calculate the scheduled opening date for a planned order or for a purchase requisition. Using the conversion report, you can only transfer or convert a planned order or a purchase requisition if the opening date is on the current date, or if the opening date has passed (that is, is in the past).
On the other hand Start Date (Instead of Opening Period) disregards the Opening Period set in Product Master and considers the horizon as mentioned in Start Date range.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Restrict release of planned orders

    Hi,
I am working in ASCP - and my user would like the ability to restrict the release of planned orders by either planner code or user ID. Is there a way I can do this via profile option, or form personalization, or anything else?
Please provide insight on other ways to achieve this!
    Thanks
    Valeria

    Hi,
Yes but in that case the responsibility being used to release the planned orders should not have access on any OU.
Below is the other thread where i gave the solution for requisitions.
Release from Planner's workbench auto-triggers WIP Mass Load, how do we restrict
Please let me know if you are interested and we can do it at user levels also if can't implemented at resp level..
    Thanks,

    Hi Gurus,
how can I convert one or more Planned Orders in only one Purchase Requisition?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    1.  convert planned order into purchase requisition individually using transaction MD14
    2.  Use  T code MD15 to convert  planned orders  Into PR collectively ( for multiple planned orders)

  • Pegging gets broken after conversion planned order to production order

    Hi All,
I am getting pegging of finish product and dependent product planned order in MRP after taking MRP run.......But after converting the planned order to production order all order gets start from today by breaking the  relationship of each other..........can anybody explain me why this is happening.............your answer will be appreciate ........thanks in advance.........waiting for reply........
    Best Regards
    Sharad

If it is backward scheduling, system takes the requirement date and starts going back…
If the start date calculated is less than today date, then there are two ways system will do the adjustment.
If in scheduling setting for production order, if there is a setting – start date allowed in past and you have entered some days, then system will go back to that date and schedule so that production order will start from past i.e. from today.
Now if past days are not allowed then system will switch over to today scheduling I.e. the start date is today.
In your case production order start date is today….this may be your case.
Just for the case of testing see what is the production lead time and calculate the start date manually and see whether it is going beyond today?
What is the exception message you have in the production order line in MD04…this also will give some idea…

  • Conversion Planned Order to Production Order

I am trying to convert planned order to production oder with the transaction code: MD04
I am getting this error when I try to convert planned order to production oder:
Scheduling parameters are not defined for production orders
    Message no. CT604
    Diagnosis
No scheduling levels have been defined for production orders  in Customizing for plant T024, order type PP01 and production scheduler * . You cannot conduct any scheduling until a selection ID for detailed planning, rough-cut planning or production rate planning has been entered. The selection ID determines the priority for the selection of the routing according to the criteria task list usage, type and status.
Moreover the scheduling type must be maintained.
    Procedure
Maintain the scheduling parameters by entering a selection ID for detailled planning, rough-cut planning or production rate planning and select the scheduling type.
I have retraced my steps and checked all the configuration for scheduling parameters and they all seem accurate. I am lost as to how to keep going and where to look to correct my mistake. Can someone please guide me further so that I can convert planned orders to production order. Thank you for your time.

    Dar,
????  Now I am wondering how you were able to
         ...checked in the following places:
    Define Production Scheduling Profile
    Define Production Scheduler
    Define Scheduling Parameters for Operations
At any rate, basic questions by students are best addressed in one of the 'Community Discussion' forums, such ast Test and Playgound  Try SCN Features

  • Order type settings for  convert planned order to production order

    Dear sir,
I have 1 company code ,under 2 virtual plants are there. My scenario is plant 1(main plant)and plant 2 (virtual plant)
both plant same FERT material.in plant 2 i am creating sale order and atual production will be done in plant 1.
FERT material plant 2(strategy-40 sp.procurement-40 setting in spro ref plant (plant1) )and  plant 1 material (strategy 82)
run the MRP MD50.panned orders are created but iam not getting production orders directly not getting the production orders
.i have done settings in spro OPPE order type is given.in MD04 manual conversion planned order to production order system asking order type ,but i given order type in OPPE
What are the settings for  production order directly from sale order at the time of RUNNING MD50
    Regards,
    Naresh.

    Hi,
You will not get a production order out of MD50. That would have to be set up in the SD customizing for the sales order item, but I am not sure that would work with your two-plant setup.
After MD50 you need to run CO41 for the collective conversion (and I also recommend the mentioned production scheduling profile customizing and then maintain this profile in the material master work scheduling view)

  • Restrict planned orders conversion according to procurement type

    Hello all,
We would like to be able to limit the possibilities offered in MD04 for planned order conversion according to the procurement type defined for the material.
For example for a material produced in-house (procurement type E), we would like have a button only for "Production order" or "Partial production order". Currently I have those two buttons, but also process order, partial process order and purchase requisition.
I suppose somewhere in customizing we can change that, but I can't find where.
    Can anybody assist me?
    Thank you,

    Hi Jules,
please have a look into Form CHECK_DELKZ_PODE in LM61RF78.
This where standard determines which Buttons to exclude, depending on the mrp element.
You can use the enhancement spot at the end to add functions you don't want to be available to table FCTAB via Perform FCTAB_APPEND.
Unfortunately there is no customizing to do this.

  • BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 creating planned order from Restricted Stock

    Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to programmatically replicate the Push Production functionality as in /SAPAPO/RRP3 transaction. We are using the BAPI - BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 and it is working fine for conversion of planned orders and Process Orders to component planned/process orders and dependant demand for the parent material. The issue is when we are trying to convert a restricted stock to a planned order and dependant demand using the BAPI, we are getting a message "No valid source of supply could be found". Please let us know if anyone has a resolution to this issue or if any further details are required.

    Hi,
Tlane is not a field name,I wanted to say Transportation Lane(T-Lane) exist or not in the system for that product-location combination.
For the SOURCE_NAME field, it is clearly mentioned in the documentation of BAPI that,
Selection of sources of supply (for example, PP/DS PPM)
ORDER_END_DATE is used as standard as the selection time for the source of supply (in-house production). If ORDER_END_DATE is empty, the value from ORDER_START_DATE is used instead.
If a different time should be used to select the source of supply, this can be set using the EXPLOSION_DATE field.
If a date field is not specified for an order change, the date of the last explosion of this order is used for source of supply selection.
The entries in the MASTER<...> fields also play a role for source determination. That is, possible sources of supply are searched for on the basis of product, location, quantity, and so on.
For the selection of sources of supply, the setting from the product master for plan explosion is used.
If several possible alternative sources of supply are found, the system chooses one source of supply as standard.
However, if you want to select a specific source of supply that has been found, you can use the fields PLAN_NUMBER + PPM_NUMBER, PROD_VERSION, or SOURCE_NAME. Note that only one combination may be used; you cannot use both PLAN_NUMBER and PROD_VERSION at the same time because both are valid for different source of supply types.
Please check with the functional consultant, in plan explosion field in product master what value they have maintained.
Because BAPI will try to get the source of supply name on basis of that field which is mentioned in the documentation.

  • Restricting production order qty while the converting planned order

    Dear all Hi,
I have a planned order for 10 qty. While converting it to production order the system is allowing me to increase the qty to more than 10 (eg 11 qty) & it is saving the production order.
But the clients requirement is that system should not allow the user to create the production order for qty more than palnned order qty.
Please help/suggest how to get this restriction from the system.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
If that is the case, then eliminate the Process of manual conversion of Planned Order to production order.
You can use the Program PPBICO40.
Schedule this Program as a background job, after the MRP Run.
Authorization management with strict monitoring will eliminate this type of process.

  • Creation of production order from manual or conversion from Planned Order

    Hello Guru,
i would like to know why does the production finish date differ when we do manual and conversion of planned order into a production order?
    Thanks

    Ryan,
When a planned order is created it just uses the Inhouse production time defined to derive the dates, whereas incase of production orders, it would try to schedule the operation and based on that the scheduled dates are derived. The other possibility is the different scheduling types are used for Planned order and Production order. Check transaction OPU5 and OPU3

  • BUG in  Conversion of Planned order to Production Order.

    Dear all,
I got an error while conversion of planned order to production order are as follows,
No Default values maintained for op.generation for order type ZFT1(matlPILSF002).
Can anyone please guide me to proceed further.
    Kumar.

    Hi,
Root cause behind this problem is, no Routing found.
    First complete below settings.
    - Go to OPJG And create defult Operation creation in case of no Routing found. This setting will generate the default Operation incase of no routing found during Order creation.
    - In T.code OPJF Create automatic selection parameters (Selection ID) for Routing.
    - In T.Code OPL8 Maintain Selection ID for Routing and also maintain type of Routing selection (3 - Automatic Routing selection)

    Hi Akshay,
Overflow during arithmetical operation type P COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW comes when the maximum of the internal ABAP field that is 99,999,999,999.99 many be quantity, cost value UoM conversion etc.
Please check how this UOM (unit of measure) is defined in transaction CUNI. In this transaction, you may have set the Value-based commitment indicator. This indicator controls whether commitments for the chosen unit of measure are recorded on a quantity basis or a value basis.
Please search OSS note for this dump and also raise this to OSS.
