Retain Windows authentication but allow re-login as another user

I have been reading all about Login as a different user being disabled, the use of loginasanotheruser and how this is not recommended for later browser. Here is my situation that I am at a loss to resolve.
All of our users connect to SharePoint using Windows authentication. This needs to remain. However in our board room we have a number of computers all logged in with a common windows user account. Executive meetings are confidential and
we do not want to allow access to their site by the common Windows user - they must user their own login. Normal browsing is to retain the Windows authentication however when they come to the executive SharePoint site we need to present a login before
they progress.
I have seen comments on using "runas.exe" or the "Run as" option on shift-right click. The trouble is that we do not know which participant will sit at a particular seat/computer in the room. Our executive want everying by
minimal clicks and complexity. The expectation is that they enter the room and the site login page is already displayed as they arrive.
So any ideas? This one has me stumped.

You could have a little batch file that asks for username and password then runs the 'runas.exe' with those details. That does the same thing as leaving a login page lying around.

Reports successfully execute but generate a login failed for user 'sa' err

I am running Crystal Reports Server XI R2. Classic ASP is used to generate embedded reports within our application. The crystal reports use ODBC to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database. The reports successfully generate in our Classic ASP application. However in SQL Server 2005, the following error messages are being generated each time a crystal report is ran:
- Login failed for user 'sa'.
- Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 8.
We know that we are passing the correct username/password to the crystal reports, becuase they execute successfully.
It appears that when the report is called, Crystal Reports appears to conect to SQL Server using a username/password that we didn't provide it at execution time, this fails and the SQL Server 'login failed for user' is generated. Then it runs the report using the username/password we provide and it successfully generates a report.
I have ran Profiler against the SQL Server Database and the 'Login failed for user 'sa' ' errors have a ApplicationName of either 'Seagate Crystal Reports' or 'Crystal Reports'. Therefore I know it is Crystal Reports generating these errors in SQL Server.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop these SQL Server 'Login failed for user 'sa' ' errors being generated?

What happens if you use Profiler when running the report using Crystal Report Designer?
If the report is ran through Crystal Report Designer, NO 'Login failed for user' error messages appear in profiler. Everything looks ok when ran in Designer.
Also, need to know what patch level you are on?
We are running Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2, Version: 11.5.8.8265
No additional patchs have been applied since Crystal Reports Server was installed.
We may try the SA account if one of the connections fail to log on with the credentials you provided. Verify the user you logged on with has rights to all tables.
The reports were running through our application using the SA account. The SA account has permissions to these tables. The reports do generate results and appear perfectly fine in the application. The issue is that when our application requests the report from Crystal Reports Server. Crystal Reports Server delivers the correct report to our application. However during the process to generate the report, 'login failed for user 'sa' ' errors are being generated in SQL Server 2005.
Also, I have tried creating a completely new SQL user called 'crystaluser'. I ran the report using Crystal Report Designer and used the crystaluser logon and saved the report. Then I ran the same report through our application. SQL Profiler will then display 'login failed for user 'crystaluser''.
Its seems as though Crystal Reports Server is first executing the report using the default SQL user saved with the report, but is either sending a blank password or no password at all. This generates the 'login failed for user' in SQL Server 2005. But it then uses the SQL username/password my application gives it and successfully generates the report. Of course this is only speculation.

Certificate prompt in RDP session and then puts an Allow/Deny option on another users session

The users have a SSL cert installed with the private key so they can access a certain web site and when they access the site using the Windows 2012 R2 RDP server they are getting prompted with a Windows Security dialogue (Confirmation Certificate) and they
press ok. Another user will now get the next message asking if to allow or deny access to the cert. If they click allow the web site will appear for the original user.

Can you clarify the actual error message you are getting? Also please let us know, whether there is any event log available.
Seems that you have not placed the certificate under Local Computer\Personal Store. Kindly recheck the configuration related to certificate and please keep the certificate under above path with its private key and verify. You can follow below steps for information.
• Open the MMC and open the Certificates snapin
• Add the Local Computer
• Import the certificate into Computer\Personal
• Open the certificate and find the thumbprint on the details tab. Copy the thumbprint to notepad and delete all the spaces.
• Open up an elevated PowerShell prompt and write:
• wmic /namespace:\\root\cimv2\TerminalServices PATH Win32_TSGeneralSetting Set SSLCertificateSHA1Hash=”‎PASTE_THUMBPRINT_STRING”
• You can check the certificate by running:
• Get-WmiObject -class “Win32_TSGeneralSetting” -Namespace root\cimv2\terminalservices -Filter “TerminalName=’RDP-tcp'”

Install Oracle 11g on window 7 but unable to login to sql developer.

I have installed Oracle 11g from Oracle site but once oracle has been installed I am unable maintain connection as a New user in Sql developer.
Although while installing I have kept both the password blank but when i am login to it keeping User name and password as blank it says as Invalid username/password.
And same is the case with Sql plus it says your password has been locked but suggest any suggestive reasons for that.

And please be aware that Oracle does NOT certify its products on any "home" edition of Windows.

Mac osx 10.6 froze at login to another user account now boots to blue

I am at my wits end and i'm hoping someone can help!!!
this is about the 5th time my mac has just frozen, eventually causing me to reformat, reload and start again, and that's in the past 3 months, i only bought the thing in january and this has been a regular occurance...
and of course it isnt the same problem each time... altho i am getting to know the keystrokes for booting up in the most obscure ways which some may consider a positive, i am finding the time i need to spend on this tedious and just plain frustrating....
so i have a macbookpro, it did have the latest version of snow leopard 10.6 on it, and i had obtained the new lion operating system but of course i havent had the opportunity to download and install because this has occurred twice since Lion came out...
i have spent a lot of time trying to get this to work...
this time i had three accounts one of which was administrative the other two held a variety of personal or professional documents on them, basically the admin one only had file downloads and computer 'stuff' in it,
all three were secured by fire vault and this seemed to be working this time, - although i did note that the time before this disaster i was unable to vault any of my accounts and when i tried to set up new accounts and secured them during the set up process i wasnt able to access them after they had been set up... (thats just an aside which may or may not be relevant, but thought i'd mention it anyway)...
the three accounts were pretty well organised and appeared to be functioning until last night when i was 'doing the right thing' and checking and repairing disk permissions in disk utility (apparently the system was expecting 0 but was getting 80 or vic versa) in the user account that had administrative rights, when i logged out of that account and attempted to log into another non admin account the screen went blue and it just sat there like that for an hour or so. in the end i turned it off and since then i have not been able to log in or boot past the blue screen....
the other thing that happened unbenownst to me was that although i did have the backup system set up in time machine to an external drive, when i tried to restore the only file i could find was this....... '.com.apple.timemachine.donotpresent' which has zero kb ... so of course i cant use the backup to restore the system and quite frankly i doubt that the mac would recognise it anyway, its not recognising anything that makes any difference to it at all...
i have tried everything but nothing works...
it wont boot from the CD which came with it - actually it never has successfully booted from the CD, but now it wont even acknoweldge that the CD is there...
other things i have tried include all the 'key strokes'
such as shift - for safe mode - nothing happens,
option to access start up manager but that stops at a lock icon which of course doenst open with any of my passwords, persumably because it's not booting to one of my accounts - but i really dont know...
i have tried single user and verbose, resetting the nvram, doing a 'dirty boot', trying to test the hardware, and a variety of other keystrokes which have been set out in various online forums but nothing happens.....
and NOTHING WORKS....
what does happen is that when i press the power button it comes on quickly there is no start up sound, the apple appears and then shortly after the circle thing appears and then it just goes to blue and after a few moments it goes black (like in sleep mode) and will stay there for hours if left until a key is pressed at which point it the blue appears again and so the cycle continues....
is there anyone out there who might be able to help i really dont know what to do next

If the system is getting to the blue screen it can be a startup item or application enhancer stopping the login process, also you mentioned a lock when you held option? this is most likely a firmware password set on the machine, to remove a firmware password you need to remove a stick of ram and do a PRAM reset, (hold command-option-p-r on boot). after this you should be able to hold option and boot from the install disc, or try other troubleshooting methods.

Word says file is locked by the SAME user trying to open it, but its actually opened by another user

Person X has FOO.doc open.
Person Y goes to open FOO.doc.
Pop up on Person Y screen, "can not open file, already opened by person Y"
Person X closes file.
Person Y opens file no problem.
So its not the preview pane issue.
And this happens no matter who attempt to open if its already opened, it always says this ONE user is the person using it.
Both systems fully up to date. Network share from Server 2008. All meta data cleared for doc.
In short, no matter WHO has this file open or WHO tries to open it, it says person Y has it open when it is opened. There are naturally no issues when its closed anyone can open it and it does save meta editor names.
I've also changed the owner in NTFS and this has no impact. Clearing doc meta data, has no impact.
This problem here is when its left open, the incorrect name shows up (the same name every time) so staff has no clue where to go to close the file.
Yes, I've read many threads here and tried those that apply, none have resolved it.

the files reside through RDP (Remote Desktop). Already open is there Shared Folders->Open Files. This gives the IT responsible person means to force closing of an already saved file that for some (bug) reason stays in the cache (MS loves cache but never
updates them) and falsely claims the file is open.
Please try! Shared Folders are reached by right-clicking Computer and select Manage.

I login Oracle as SYS
SQL> alter user oe account unlock;
SQL> alter user oe identified by oe;
SQL> create user myoe identified by myoe;
SQL> grant connect,resource to myoe;
SQL> connect myoe/myoe@ora9i
I can export OE schema from OE to an Oracle dmp file called âC:\oe.dmpâ
In DOS Prompt, type the following:
C:\>exp oe/oe@ora9i file='c:\oe.dmp'
But import error when I type the following
C:\>imp myoe/myoe@ora9i file=âc:\oe.dmpâ full=Y

Impdp work with system but doesn't work with another user

We have troubles with import of transportable tablespace, when i try to import it with system the import is done currectly, when i try to use another user we receive this message :

this happens only on development server and it work into test server, so i don't think that the problem is in grants(i controlled that are the same and i have tried with DBA grant too and we received the error).
Another strange thing is that tablespace 'RMCCO_RMC_UTZ_PP080531' is not included into the dump that i try to import and it doesn't exist in the database.

Why am I prompted to login with another users Apple ID when attempting to run App Store updates?

I have just upgrade my Macbook Air to Mavericks. I then checked for updates in the App Atore and have 2 updates available.
When I select Update All I get prompted with a dialogue "Sign in to download from the App Store." . The Apple ID is pre-filled with the Apple ID of another user on the Macbook Pro and greyed out so it can't be changed.
However when I check 'Store' from the menu bar I am signed into the App Store with my Apple ID.
Confusing! Any ideas?

Becaus the applications you're trying to update have that Apple ID stored inside them, which is separate from the account signed into the iTunes Store. This can't be changed without deleting them.

HT1199 My iDVD opens then immediately quits. BUT if I go to another user it works

I have recently upgraded i Mac (july 2011) and was surprised to find no i DVD ! (why apple ?)
so the local store installed it. now my new hard drive has just been replaced ! and many files have been lost.
So on my user partition I have the icon, and when I try to open it it opens and immmediately shuts down.
If i go to another user partition it works
I am guessing something is corrupt or missing.
Can anyone help get me up and running

How to restrict login for multiple users having same Role

Our Web Application is deployed on Tomcat 5.5
The requirement is ?
There are roles in application like "operator", "admin"?
There are multiple users created for each of the above role.
When one user of "operator" role is logged in, then
It should not allow to login for another user of "operator" role.
Also, if user did not log out & application gets close, then
It should not allow to login for another user of "operator" role.
Also, it should not allow to login for multiple requests of same user
(using another browser instance...)
Is it possible using session object?
But, using session object, it will create separate objects for different users,
So here I will not be able to restrict session object creation rolewise.
Also, how to retrieve these multiple session objects created for different users on server?
If anyone is having the solution please reply as soon as possible,

To tell you the truth, this is a stupid requirement. It must be an extremely fragile application.
In any case, you will have to write your stuff for that. Probably a filter that on login, logout, and session expiration checks, makes, or removes entries in a DB (using a synchronized resource to prevent race conditions) or possibly even simply in an application context object.

Users using Windows Authentication unable to login after upgrade to SQL Server 2012 SP2 CU1

We upgraded from SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012 SP2 CU1. Upgrade was successful. Users that have SQL Server Management Studio 2012 can successfully log in via Windows Authentication, but users with an older version of SQL Server Management
Studio are unable to log in via Windows Authentication.
The error they receive is listed below:
Connect not connect to XXXXXXX
Login Failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows Authentication.
(Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452)
If we switch to Mixed authentication, users can log in via SQL Server Authentication.
Our security policy prohibits SQL Authentication.
Outside of having the staff upgrade to SQL Server 2012 SQL Server Management Studio, is there any setting I can set/unset to allow older version of SQL Server Management studio to connect to SQL Server 2012?

Calling Stored Procedure with Windows Authentication SSIS 2012

We are upgrading to SQL Server 2012 and our SSIS Packages are failing with: "The operation cannot be started by an account that uses SQL Server Authentication. Start the operation with an account that uses Windows Authentication. Error on line 215:
(SQR 3913) Could not EXECUTE stored procedure."
I understand that we need to change over to Windows Authentication but not sure how to authenticate with windows. Our stored procedures are called from an SQR (
Structured Query Reporter)

Is it possible to grant a Windows group access to SQL Server rather than individual Windows logins which has only read/write permission on table data in sqlserver.I am getting error while logged in by using window authentication.

But am getting some schema level issues.
