Returning Laptops - HELP
Hi, I bought a Lenovo U400 for a grand in the US and this thing overheated with some cooling systems failing in the third week of use. I bought my system on the 29th Feb, but it failed in the 2nd week of April.
I do not trust Lenovo now and want to cut my losses and recover as much of the 1000$ I spent on it as possible.
Can anyone help me on this? What are my options?
To elaborate on the issue. There were cooling issues leading to hardware failure. The system boots up, but gets heated crazy within 10-15min of use (normal non-intensive use). It's definitely under warranty but I cannot get it serviced in my current country, as I was expecting more quality from Lenovo. I do not want to hold on to this crap and hence want to sell it off or return it.

as far as i know,you can only return a pc in the country you purchased it.
Since you can't have it serviced where you live,you can only troubleshoot the problem.
Have you checked the knowledge base for your model?
Others here who are familiar with that particular model,
may offer more help,on what if anything you could do.
Also using google may well provide some help.

Is there an adapter to hook up a firewire from a cannon gl2 to a MacBook Pro? The firewire end is too big to fit in the MacBook Pro laptop help.
After identifying the exact connectors you need, check the Apple Store online and/or eBay...you should be able to buy a cable with the correct connector on each end, rather than fooling with an adapter.

I've just deauthorized all 4 computers as wanting to authorize this newly purchased second hand laptop......I am not being given the option to authorize this laptop, help please

I recently brought a new laptop and installed Itunes, signed in and authorised device, i then commenced with syncing my phone. All worked fine, I was able to connect to store and even purchased an app which subsequently downloaded straight to the phone. However I cannot connect to the store through the phone to update any apps. it just returns a message 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store' I get the same error on my Ipad which I havemt updated the software on as yet and cannot understand how i can purchase through my laptop however not update with the same login details ?
I am getting extremely frustrated with this now, I did a factory restore to make sure that I covered all bases

when i plug my pihone into my laptop ( windows running on windows 8) it wont show up or connect into itunes, i can do the exaxt same thing with my ipod and it will connect and sync with my itunes library so i am confused to what the problem is. can anyonw help?

ok, so my itouch 2nd gen starts up only to the apple logo but stops there with the loading thing that looks like a flower. it doesnt connect to my laptop either. it got unplugged while trying to restore it on my laptop and now its not rly working. any help? i alredy tried holding both buttons down like more than 100 times and it still doesnt work. so any solutions?

the laptop has windows 7, firefox version I have is 3.6.17.
Version number 4 I cant download and install the laptop doesnt accept why? Your computer comes with Win 8 pre-installed but one of the steps to install/run Windows 8.1 is having updated drivers for Windows 8.1
Please, go to Control Panel -> System (or Start -> type winver and open) and verify what is your current version - if it is Windows 8 or 8.1
Windows 8 is version 6.2.x
Windows 8.1 is version 6.3.x
If Windows 8 in place, then , please read this article and enroll in the steps:

My iPod nano 5th generation won't work on my windows 8.1 laptop,help?
Ok last year I got my first Toshiba laptop for Christmas and had my iPod nano since 2010. The iPod was fittied in perfectly when I first got the laptop and there was no problem with it until a few days ago it wasnt able to recognize the device at all. I tried uninstalling iTunes, turning off the laptop and putting the ipod in plus taking it out god knows how much, it still wouldn't recognize the device! Ive never seen it to fail although we have an old Windows XP computer and there was no problem regonizing it but I prefer to have the iPod on my own laptop computer so I can install purchases easily! Can somebody please tell me how to solve this problem?!

hya, i urgently had to format my laptop and all my music was lost (40gb), but all of it is on my ipod. do you know how could i transfer it to my computer?
i tried to transfer manually, going through my computer and then going into ipod itself but it shows only 500mb of random songs, but when i connect it to itunes it says it has 40gb of music.
any ideas how could i get the music onto my laptop?
from the tutorial i got the impression that you can only transfer music that was bought with itunes..

I have ran itunes diagnostic tests SEVERAL times and says no ipod,iphone,or ipad found.is it my cord?(because this cord im using still charges the ipod)Or is it the ipod charger port? or my usb ports on the laptop (cause ive tried every usb port,same results).please help!!

If your device in not recognized in iTunes, I would try the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

I recently got a new laptop which runs on Windows 8 and although I've found the "Authorize" button and followed every single trouble shooting option Apple support suggests, I still can't authorize and further connect to the iTunes store on my computer.
