RFC redirected to sapdp instead of sapgw

Hello
I have two RFC connections to two different partners; Both from ECC to ECC through our saprouter. And both partner systems have a logon group
or me the connection should be something like :
our ECC -> our saprouter (port 3299) -> partner CI (port 36xx, sapmsSID) / allocation to an AS -> partner AS (port 33XX or sapGWxx)
For the partner 1 everything is OK
We copy and paste the configuration for partner 2 and we get the following error message :

The saprouttab is OK
the etc/services are filled with sapms SID, sapgwXX and sapdpXX
From our saprouter I can contact the partner 2 systems on 36XX, 33X but not 32XX (because of our firewalls)
i will check with our partner, if the RFC user is of type "communication data"
It seems that I will need to open the firewall on ports 32XX ? Can somebody confirm this ? Can somebody explain why for one partner I only need 36xx and 33xx and for the other partner I need 36xx, 33xx and 32xx ?

Thanks for your answer but from my point of view, the ports for RFC are 33XX not 32XX
The fact that for the first partner it's working with 33xx seems to confirm that

For this first you need to create a RFC destination (Say RFC_NEW_SYSTEM) to the new system in SM59. after that while calling the function module you need mention the destination as the new system like below

RFC response is IT_RETURN instead of RETURN

Hi All,
I am working with Custom RFC when I am sending the request not getting any thing showing the error as "com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.util.bapi.BapiException: Parameter with name RETURN not found".
When executed in function builder SE37 working fine returning values table in IT_RETURN. Is it mandatory to maintain a RFC response as RETURN otherwise RFC Adapter won't understand?
Could you please help me on this.

Clicking a link redirects and downloads instead of opening what should open

Every link i clicked any link which would normally open a page I was redirected to my downloads and Firefox dowloaded a file which was useless and not able to be accessed, prbably because i wasnt trying to download anything, rather i was trying to open a web page. Seems to have stopped diong it for now but it was doing this for anything i clicked . Didnt restart or anything just tried it again and now the clicks seem to be working fine again.
Also not sure if its related but Firefox continues to shut down unexpectedly with no explanation.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

XIadapter instead of RFC adapter very urgent

i am not using and proxies but iam using a file adapter in sender side and XI adapter in receving side , and i am calling a RFC in the mapping , instead of using a RFC adapter i am using XI adapter is possiable , if so what is the parametrs i must give XI adapter confirguration please help in this thanking you

Answer is NO. If your not using proxies then you can't use XI adapter go for RFC adapter.

After upgrading to FF 8.0, a news website main page doesn't open, redirecting immediately to a site subsection. Doesn't work in Safe Mode either.IE Tab opens site perfectly.

The question topic sums it up - after a recent upgrade one website stopped working properly in FF, even in Safemode, redirecting to subsection instead of opening main page. When I use IE Tab or IE, website opens fine.

No, the problem is resolved. The Spry gallery portion of
LyndaEllis.com works in IE6 and IE7 now that I've switched from my
original hosted web server at Earthlink/Mindspring (i.e. which
responded with 302 redirects on "resource not found") to my new web
hosting provider as I described in the original post. Just to be
clear, I changed nothing in Spry or in my HTML; I only had to work
around the HTTP client behavior of IE by ensuring that 302
redirects were not returned by the web server when non-existent
resources were requested by the browser.
But, I am still curious why both IE and Firefox make the
request for the unsubstituted variable in the first place. I'm also
curious as to why IE's JS engine just gives up when the 200 status
"branded error" pages are returned. I suppose it should just be
chalked up to the idiosyncrasies of Earthlink's httpd configuration
and Microsoft's screwy browser. Perhaps someone who works in the IE
JavaScript engine at Microsoft will read this and get Spry apps in
IE to work for the "302 redirect" configuration.

RFC Call to ECC system

Hello Friends,
Need input from you with regards to the Problem/Solution mentioned below:
Our requirement is that during the load of FI data from our Centralised ECC System, we want to retrieve the Billing document details from a new ECC System. Since we need only the Billing Doument and Count of Item data from this new ECC System we dont want to proceed with the regular way of Establising Source System connection and creating new Datasources etc.
The Solution we have thought is to set up a RFC Connection and Execute a Function Module during the Routine execution in BW. Thie Function Module will be executd in the new ECC system and will retrieve the required Billing details.
If you have faced similar situation and implemented any other solution then please let me know.

The solution sounds good . The only problem which i found in this is suppose for any reason your RFC does not work for a day or two . Then the FI data will be loaded without billing information . It will be a difficult task to reload the FI data again for the missing Billing Information .
I assume that your FI postings are happening in Centralized ECC while correspong Billing Docs are in New ECC . So the two ECCs have a RFC conncection between them :
Following approaches can be taken :
1) As per your solution you are going to call the RFC in BI . Instead of doing it in BI , do the same thing in the enahncement of the FI Datasource i.e make a call from centralized ECC to your new ECC . This will affect the extraction performance , but your loading performance will be improved .
2) Is there a possibility that you can flow your billing documents to your centralized ECC and then do a datasource enhacement of the FI datasource .

Can we create a deep structure in RFC?

My requirement is to create an RFC which has 3 output tables. out of which 1 table contains deep structure, but SAP is not allowing me to create an RFC with deep structure. Message shows only flat structures support in RFC. can any one tell is there any limitation of creating a deep structure in RFC?

Instead of a deep structure, you can define another internal table in your signature which will hold all of the data for all of th records of the other internal table, you just need a key value from the other internal table to be able to map which records go with what record in the original internal table. Does this make sense?

Ise: Url redirection not working

everything should be ok on ise and switch
the switch is configured with its own ip on the vlan (22)
PS is on vlan (44)
and ise is configured for web authentication policy to occurr on the logon vlan (33)
the service is reachable by inputting the policy service ip address on port 8443, authentication is successful, acl downloaded and redirect url pushed properly to the switch but redirect never occurrs,
instead a blank page (host not reachable) is displayed
the clients on vlan 33 can resolve dns without problems
the firewall has been set to make the vlan 44 and 33 talk each other on port 80,443,8443
it looks like the switch's http/s-server is not making any difference maybe because it is on another vlan though it is routed
can someone help me?
i would really appreciate a flow chart on how web redirect works in ise and tge role of the http server
ps the switch does not support the ip route command

Who'sWho Off Phone number is been displayed instead of Offi email ID

Hi Experts,
Few users of our portal are facing the below issue in standard Who'sWho application.
Users search for their name and the application displays it.
But there is some data inconsistency as the Official Phone number is been displayed instead of Official email ID.
At the back end the data is maintained properly.
When the official phone number is not maintained at R/3 the application displays the email id correct.
But once the official phone number is update the system picks the phone number as email id.
Why does it happen only with selected users ?
how can i solve this ?

I found out that there is no RFC which is called instead there is standard infoset query which is fired.
The name of the query is "/SAPQUERY/HR_ESS"
how shall I debug this query please help as I have not worked on it before.
The problem is not seen in quality portal.
Is it possible to create a request for the standard query and send it.

Yes I think you can catch an exception by using RFC EXception (Fault) Message instead of RFC Response in the mappings. and remaining all steps are same.
But that is mostly depends upon the RFC Function module that you are using and at which the logical coding of that Function module.

Redirecting login page

hi, i am the new user of macbook pro. Just wanna ask, at my house i am using the apartment internet which neede me to go into redirecting login page. When i am using windows, it will direct me to the login page. But when now i am using macbook. it cant redirect me and instead say that it cannot connect to the internet. So how to solve this problem?

Copy down the login URL from the Windows browser, launch Safari and enter it manually then save it as a Bookmark.

Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work? I wasted about 8 hours on trying to get Adobe Send to upload 269 files that amounted to 469MB. When it did not work I made a zip file and after a lot of wasted run time that did not work. The first situation gives little indication of when a file is loaded compared to Adobe SendNow. In both cases with Send it failed with a message like only the first 50 can be loaded. When I went and looked none of them had been loaded. With the zip file (I wanted to hide the individual files so they would not be counted) it appeared to work but very slowly and finally said it was done and I went and looked and it had done anything for oever 2 hours except a false "I'm runninng" indication.
Thus, I took a chance with Adobe SendNow and it works great. It never gave me a limit on the amount of files nor on the size of the complete job. It shows me one file at a time when it has finished with the file uploading it. SendNow has never given me any problems.
Why woiuld you want to change the program from SendNow to Send without the newest program being the best, fastest, user friendly program of the two? It just doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that Adobe keep SendNow working until Send is fixed. I would also suggest that SendNow and how it looks be kept, called Send, then modify Send one thing at a time until you get it to the point you need it to be for Acrobat. I have heard nothing good and now I have experienced it that Send is a piece of junk. I wasted most of my work day on giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt to find out I made a very bad decision to trust Adobe to make good decisions on the transfer of a function to another place .... both Adobe's responsibility.without making it painless for your customers that totally rely on you. Don't throw away customer confidence as it is very hard to get it back.

Yep! Verizon living up to it's contractual obligations by not releasing updates. Caveat emptor!
I think there are some reasonable expectations here to keep customer's happy. When one carrier offers upgrades there is an expectation the same will happen across all the carriers. We have seen that except Big Red.
Verizon could have said the update is in MS court months ago and stilled the voice of the disgruntled, or at least redirected it, but instead chose to be silent. Not for market share but for partial blame I think.
We will have to agree to disagree since you only see Terms & Conditions and I, see customer satisfaction.

Alert on a variable without BPM

I have implemented a Idoc-PI-File scenario to integrate ECC to ESourcing.
I have implemented basic alert with the help of SAP ABAP table.
I want to trigger alert on a specific variable/field of the payload.
I can do that with the help of BPM. Is it possible without BPM?

As mentioned in the blog /people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/25/triggering-xi-alerts-from-a-user-defined-function, alerts can be triggered from UDF.
In PI7.1, alerts can be triggered by using "RFC Lookup" standard function instead of UDF. SALERT_CREATE need to be used in the "RFC Lookup" standard function of Graphical Mapping.
