Rfc To PI box

HI,
I Want post a RFC from my ECC system to PI box for testing. In general we process a IDOC through WE19. Now how to Post my RFC to PI box. Please help me Guys
Thanks
Hari

Hi Hari,
        No need to do any extra configurations for sender RFC scenario. You can directly import your RFC from your R/3 to IR and proceed with the design steps if the initial configuration/connection is there from your R/3 to PI.

  • Problem with external breakpoint in RFC in CRM box

    Hi All
           I have created a RFC FM to create new realtionship in CRM Box which is being called from Web portal. The issue is that when I set a external breakpoint in this RFC , two debugging sessions are getting created . In 1 session it creates the realtionship successfully and i can see the return table but then it goes to another session and finally displays msg "Relationship already exists". The relationship is getting created properly but the user will get to see wrong msg on the portal screen.
    Can anybody suggest as to what could be the problem.

  • Synch RFC--BPM --Sync JDBC

    Hi All,
    I am doing a schenario where in im using BPM.
    Synch RFC from XI box will trigger the interface, then i will make a synch call to sql server & synch call(RFC) to R/3.
    Can anyone please letme know the steps required in BPM.
    Do i need synch-async bridge?
    And also lemme know if i can map a ASyncronous Message Interface to a Syncronous Message Interface.
    Can i Map source as Synch RFC & target as synch sql & synch rfc R/3.If not how do i map
    Thanks
    Sumit
    Message was edited by: Sumit Khetawat

    Sumit,
    I just looked upo into one of my SYNCH AYNCH Scenarios and i have created my interfaces exactly like i mentioned in these steps,
    <i>1. RECEIVE step ==> Opens SYNCH ASYNCH bridge and receives RFC request message.
    ( This will have a synchronous message interface associated with it. A synch abs interface and will be used for the PROPERTY ~~Synchrnous Message in the BPM) We would also need an ABS ASYNCH Message Interface created for the Request Message and this should be used in the MESSAGE ( after creating CONTAINER element) for the same. )
    2. Transfrom step ==> Map RFC request message to JDBC request message. Mappinng between 2 abs Aynch Interfaces
    ( You will have container elements created for REq RFC as stated in the step 1 and another for JDBC request )
    3. SEND synchronous ==> to send JDBC request and get the JDBC response.
    ( You will use a SYNCH ABS against MESSGAE INTERFACE , and also, a separate ABS ASYCNH for request and response )
    4. TRANSFORM step==> Map JDBC response to RFC response . Mapping between ABS Interfaces
    ( same as step 2)
    5. SEND ==> Closes SYNCH ASYNCH bridge and Send's response back to the RFC.</i>
    Use the Container element created for the mapping in step 4.
    In case of Split mapping, again you will need ABS ASYNCH Message interfaces.
    Drop me a mail if you need screen shots.
    Regards,
    bhavesh
    All you mapping in the BPM is between Asynch Abs Interfaces.

  • Could not execute the RFC sender scenario

    Hi,
    My Scenario is RFC to File asynchoronous.
    RFC is in XI box and I want the file to created on the XI box only.
    I have created an RFC destination using Sm59 transaction on XI box. Following are the details
    RFC Destination --> SAP_TO_XI
    Connection Type --> T
    Program ID --> PRG_ID
    Activation Type --> Registered Server Program
    Gateway Host --> SAPXIS01
    Gateway Service --> sapgw00
    I have created the Sender CC with the above gateway host, service and the program id.
    I want to execute the scenario on SAP XI by executing the RFC on XI box through a report.
    The following is the statement used in the report to execute the RFC
    Data: LS_CTRY_DTLS TYPE Z_TEST_TABLE.
    CALL FUNCTION 'Z_TEST'
    DESTINATION 'SAP_TO_XI'
    IN BACKGROUND TASK
    TABLES
    LT_CTRY_DLTS = LT_CTRY_DTLS
    EXCEPTIONS
    COMMUNICATION_FAILURE = 1
    SYSTEM_FAILUE = 2.
    COMMIT WORK.
    The function module is not giving any error and at the same time, no messages are shown in SXMB_MONI transaction. Can you please let me know the reason for this.
    Thanks
    Priya

    Hi Madhav,
    Thanks for answering. I have done as you have said. The connection is working properly. I am getting the following message when I clicked on the Test Connection button.
    Connection type:    TCP/IP connection
    Logon:                      4  msec
       0  KB:                    1  msec
      10  KB:                    3  msec
      20  KB:                    4  msec
      30  KB:                    5  msec
    But, still I am not able to see the messages through SXMB_MONI

  • How to create a DB Source system in BW

    Hi Guys,
      Can anybody explain me how to create DB Connect  source system in BW.
    Points will be awarded.
    Thanks,
    Chinna

    Hi Chinna,
    Below are the steps to be followed for the SS creation in BW :
    Prerequisites :
    1.System Number
    2.System IP address
    3.ALEOLTP like userid and password – this is the RFC user ID in the R/3 system. Usually set to communication - must be set to dialog in the R/3 Source System for the duration of the create/restore connection process.  Note: the password must be in capital letters.(If all instances are in unicode system)
    1.At the time of making the connection, the R/3 source system will need to be opened for client independent configuration.
    2.If it is a connection create or restore, the personal userid of the person doing the work must have SM59 access.
    Follow the naming convention which is being used in your system.
    1.     Logon to r/3 source system using the r/3 RFC userid to check that the userid has been set to dialog user. It is mandatory that the r/3 source system userid be setup temporarily as dialog to create the connection. If not contact the requester to have this done before continuing with the next step.
    Note: When re-checking to ensure that the r/3 userid is a dialog user, you may get prompted for new password. Change password, and make a note of the new password. Use this new password in the steps that follow for the r/3 RFC userid.
    2.     Logon to BW system using your own userid.
    3.     Enter transaction RSA1, In Source Systems, right-click on Source Systems as shown below to create new connection.
    4.     In the screen select the appropriate Source System connection type. Suppose your  are creating connection for r/3 instance, so in this case we pick the very first option.
    5.     A popup window will get displayed asking for the necessary information. To fill in the appropriate information in the that screen you need the following information concerning the r/3 source system.
    •     IP address (Application Server) &
    •     System Number
    Get this information for the r/3 source system from the SAP Logon Pad.
    6.     If Parameters have been incorrectly entered  then  the following error message will appear : “Check connection parameters for the source system”.
    7.     Re-check and re-enter correctly. If all is good then You will see the following prompt : Please log on as an administrator in the following screen.”Click green check to continue.
    8.     This will bring you to the r/3 logon screen. Logon using the r/3 RFC id. Once logged on click Check in ‘Check RFC destination’ dialog box.
    9. Consider the r/3 RFC destination screen.
    10. Check to make sure that BW system information (Userid, IP address, System Number etc) is correctly showing in the Technical Settings and Logon/Security tabs. Next do the following,
         Step 1: Enter password for the BW RFC userid id.
         Step 2: Save Settings
         Step 3: From Test Menu , click on authorization. Ensure there are no errors
         Step 4: Back out of screen.
    11.     System may ask you to logon as administrator again. Logon as in Step 10. This time click on Use in ‘Check RFC destination’ dialog box.
    Connection related processing will start up at this time, and continue for a little while (can be a couple minutes or more).
    12.     Subsequently, a dialog box will show up on the screen.
    13. Pick option, Replicate As Well.
    Replication and activation of data sources & transfer structures will begin.
    With the completion of this step you will have successfully established this source system connection. To confirm, right-click on the new source system entry and click on check
    14. If the connection is good, the following message with the source system ID will display at bottom left corner of screen : Source system connection is Ok”.
    Hope this will be helpful to you.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • AAE doesn't support parameterized mapping ?

    Hi,
    is the AAE doesn't support parameterized mapping ? if yes any workaround for this limitation ? because i want to use JDBC lookup in my mapping ?
    Currently, i am using PI 7.1 EHP1 SP3.
    Thank You and Best Regards
    Fernand

    One thing more, as you can't use it it may bother you as you won't be able to use the new box in the graphical mapping to do look ups (JDBC, or RFC), as both boxes get the channel from a parameter.
    However, you can still create your own UDF and do the lookup manually with java code, it's not a big issue. I had to do it for RFC lookups some times.

  • Populating a dropdown list box from from a RFC/web service call

    Hello All,
      So far all the samples that I have on dropdown listboxes pulls their values from the Simple Type Enumeration table. Howvever, If i will like to populate the dropdown listbox with returned values from an imported model, does anyone have any documentation on how this may be achieved ? Thank you.
    from
    Kwok Wei

    Hi
    If u want to populate the Values in DropDown from RFC call u can use the following code
    IWDAttributeInfo  ainfo = wdContext.node<<NodeName>>().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("<<Value Attrib that is bounfd to the Drop Down>>");
         ISimpleTypeModifiable st = aiinfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
         IModifiableSimpleValueSet vs = st.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
         for(int i=0;i<wdContext.node<<Ur Table Parameter Name>>().size();i++)
              vs.put(Key,Value}
    The Above code is for Drop Down by Key
    For Drop Down By Index
    for(int i=0;i<wdContext.node<<Table Paramter>>().size();i++)
              IPrivateFinancingPlanView.I<<NodeElement>> prodElement = wdContext.create<<Node Element>>();
              prodElement.set<<Value Attribute Bound to drop Down>>(wdContext.node<<Table Paramter>>().get<<Table Paramter>>(i).getDescription());
              <<Parent Node Element>>.node<<Child Node>>().addElement(<<Child Node Element>>);

  • RFC connection error between Netweaver 7 EHP1 and Ides ECC6

    Hi Friends,
    I try to create  source system  in BI from Netwever EHP1 to IDES ECC6 EHP3.
    During the creation I get a connection error, says. check connction parameter.
    I checked the parameter, everything is fine. Server, System and number.
    When I went to the SM59 and created a connction.
    I.E. with the same parameter like system = 06 and server = compi9 gave client 800 etc.
    The Host name is resolved to 192.168.2.111 wich is OK.
    But when I run the connection test it shows me  "ERROR: partner '80.156.86.78:sapgw06' not reached"
    I have no idea where this IP '80.156.86.78" is comming from.
    No Problem with the opposite way, from Ides to NW and login to the System is OK too.
    Can anybody help me with this problem.
    RG. Jimbob

    Hi,
    What is the next screen that comes up when you click on remote logon.
    If no screen comes up then:
    Check the user type of the user id used for this RFC.
    It should be either dialog or service user for able to remote login.
    If it open a new window and asks for password, then its excatly password issue.
    Also make sure that the password is in numeric and correct.
    Also make sure that the current user check box is unchecked.
    Even if it dosent work, delete the connection and create again.
    Please award points if helps.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Please follow this steps:
    Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP and Java Environment
    You need to create the following RFC destinations in transaction SM59 (ABAP) and the Visual Administrator (Java):
    u2022 AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
    u2022 AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
    u2022 LCRSAPRFC
    u2022 SAPSLDAPI
    Depending on your client settings, it may be necessary to be logged on your SAP Exchange Infrastructure host as SAP system user with the authorization to maintain customizing tables and to release transport orders. Note, that user "SAP*" or "DDIC" does not have these authorizations.
    Maintaining the RFC Connections (Transaction SM59)
    1. Log on to your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host.
    2. Call transaction SM59.
    3. Choose Create.
    4. Enter at least the following:
    RFC destination: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
    Connection type: T
    Description: <your description>
    5. Choose ENTER
    6. Choose the tab Technical settings and do the following:
    a. Select Registered Server Program
    b. In the Program ID field, enter: AI_RUNTIME_<SID> where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your Integration Server host. Use uppercase letters only.
    c. Enter Gateway host and Gateway service of your Integration Server host. To find out the required parameters:
    a. On the Integration Server host, call transaction SMGW
    b. Choose Goto u2192 Parameters u2192 Display (see entries for gateway hostname and gateway service)
    7. Choose tab Special Options and select the flag Unicode in the box Character Width in Target System.
    8. Save your settings.
    9. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 8 for the remaining destinations:
