RH8, AIR Help - Any way to increase padding in right pane?

Hi all,
My client wants to try the AIR Help format for the next release of their product. They currently distribute it as a .chm. The one pesky issue I'm running into after upgrading to RH8 and generating the AIR Help is that when topics are displayed in the right pane, there isn't enough space (padding) on the left side. The text is jammed up against the divider bar between the left and right panes. This is not a problem if I compile it as a .chm.
I use one master page (template) for all topics and although I tried adjusting the left margin as a workaround, the existing topics don't pick up this change (even if I temporarily set them to use a different master page, and then switch it back). Any other solutions or workarounds are appreciated!

Any way to increase font size in RoboHelp UI?

Hi. Is there any way to increase the font size of the text in the RoboHelp (11) UI itself, that is, for example, the items that appear in the Project manager, Topic List, Single Source Layouts, and other panels?
I have my monitor set to optimal resolution, but this seems to cause this text to be too small for comfort. Is there a way to increase the font size from within RH? If not, is there a Windows-level change I can make?

Thanks, Peter. Yes, that's what it appears to be. So, in messing about with the screen resolution and text size settings on my new Windows 7 machine, I somehow irritated RoboHelp. This is what it looks like:
I got responses from Adobe person assigned to my bug request. He said all was OK on their side. He said to try to change the Custom DPI text size for my machine, but that did not change the RH display, only the toolbar and pod headings. He suggested I uninstall then reinstall RH 10.
I also asked what the difference was between the RH source files that present the toolbar and that retrieve the project files as listed (includes the Single Source Layout pod entries also, though). We'll see.
Have a feeling I'll have to reinstall.

Is there any way to increase the 5 computer limit for Home Sharing?

We now have 9 computers all looking to access the same media purchased / stored on the same iTunes library? Is there any way to increase beyond the 5 computer limit?

Is there any way to increase the polling speed of the BIS for Earthlink? I have a mindspring email account (Earthlink) and it doesn't get pushed instantaneously to me. It usually just pulls a group of emails every 15 minutes or so. My other email account pushing to my BB Tour from my GoDaddy accounts come right away. Help anyone??

No, there is not.
A 15 (roughly speaking) cycle is routine on POP accounts. You can't change that. If the RIM servers find new mail, it reverts to 2 minute polling for a couple of cycles and should it find new mail yet again, retains that 2 minute polling cycle until which time it doesn't find new mail waiting, and then reverts back to the 15 minute cycle.

In short, no. There is no fix yet. They only barely acknowledge there is a problem. The "fix" is to enable 200% UI scaling which makes everything comically huge and unusable. This is pretty much of a joke. A really, really EXPENSIVE joke.

Siri volume seems low - any way to increase it?

I just got a new iPhone 5 today and am trying Siri for the first time. It seems to work ok, but the volume of Siri's voice seems quite low to me.
The speakers on the iPhone 5 itself are ok because I can play music in iTunes very loudly, so it's not the general volume settings or the speakers. It seems to be just Siri's voice.
Is there any way to increase Siri's voice volume?

Never mind. I see. Siri simply has it's own volume and you can adjust it while in Siri itself. It was set low by default.

There are many other ways to designate "categories" instead of color labels and stars. Keywords come to mind. Smart collections also do the job to designate where you are in your workflow.

Never mind. I see. Siri simply has it's own volume and you can adjust it while in Siri itself. It was set low by default.

I have 15,686 photos on iPhoto 11 and am now, when uploading latest photos, getting a message saying that my startup disk is full. Is there any way of increasing the capacity of the start up disk?

I have 15,686 photos on iPhoto 11. As I've been uploading the latest photos in the last two days I've been getting a message stating that my start-up disk is nearly full. I had no idea there was a limit. Is there any way of increasing its capacity? I have been shooting in Raw of late and I know it takes up a lot of space but I have heard of other people who have over 20,000 photos on their computers, so what is going on here??

Two possibiilities here:
1. Your start up disk is nearly full
Or
2. You have minor damage to the iPhoto Library and it's giving you a bogus message.
But here's the thing: A full start up disk is a very serious issue and needs to be dealt with fast.
So, how big is your Hard Disk? How much free space on it?

In Firefox, the Skins toolbar is not displaying correctly. Is there any way to add padding to fix it

The Skins toolbar looks great in Internet Explorer and Chrome, but Firefox does not have any padding around the toolbar buttons (see picture). Is there a way to add padding?

Your response makes me wonder if you misunderstood me. Especially the bit about "transparent" buttons. Because that's precisely what I was suggesting. Add the "padding" you want, by adding some transparent area at the bottom of the buttons. That way the appearance should be that the buttons have some blank space below where the image ends and the divider.
At least that's what I interpreted you to be wanting.

Everybody is pretty happy about it, but I am getting complaints - especially form the older people - that the slider in the TOC is very hard to see, and I agree - as you scroll down the TOC entries, the slider becomes lighter and lighter in color. Is there any way to tweak it so that I can increase contrast, or recolor it in a darker tone? With volume control do you mean the buttons on the side of the phone? or in settings? When playing something on speaker and i want it louder, I just click the up button on the side of the phone.

I do not fully understand the meaning of "Top" in the phrase "Top In App Purchase". In Settings there is an option to invoke restrictions. One restriction option is to prohibit In-App Purchases.

Any way to increase audio level of your movie?

I've uploaded a taped video into iMovie and when I play it back, the volume level is too low (I can hear it but it's not loud). I've increased the system pref vol, the vol level, and the volume level in iMovie so everything has been turned all the way up.
I saw where you can extract the audio. What can you do with it when you extract it? Incresase it? And if you can increase it, how would you add the audio back to the movie?
What I want to know is, is there another way to increase the volume if you've turned up all the computer volume controls and it's too low?

The best place to increase / adjust audio levels assuming the source video footage has something to work with is in the video editing app. Have you tried posting this question to the iMovie forum?
If your iMovie has low audio levels to start with then this will also be reflected w/in iDVD if no adjustments are made beforehand. Hope this makes sense.

I can't hear the audio in my movie
If you can't hear some or all of the audio in your movie, here are some things you can check:
Make sure your computer's volume is turned up. Use the speaker controls on your keyboard or the volume slider in the menu bar.
Use the volume slider below the iMovie monitor to increase the movie volume.
Make sure the audio checkbox is selected for the track you want to hear. The audio checkbox is to the right of each track in the timeline viewer.
If the audio checkbox is selected, then choose View > Show Clip Volume Levels and see if the audio levels for the tracks are set to a level that can be heard.
Making your movie louder or softer
If you find that all or part of your movie is too loud or too soft, you can adjust the volume of your movie in the timeline viewer. You can increase or decrease the volume of the entire movie or just specific audio clips. For example, at a certain point in a video you might dramatically increase or decrease the volume of accompanying music.
IMPORTANT: These instructions are for setting the volume of video that people will hear as they play your movie. If you only want to adjust the volume of your computer's speakers, see "Adjusting the volume of your computer in iMovie HD" below.
To make your movie louder or softer:
Click the Timeline Viewer button (shown above).
Select the clip or clips whose volume you want to change in the timeline viewer.

Tip: You can also type a new percentage in the field next to the clip volume button to adjust volume.
