Right margin cut off

When I print anything on my HP Officejet 8600,  the printing is off the page on the right side. Does anyone know how to fix this?  I have shut everything down, unplugged the printer,etc. and nothing works.

Hi peggyborski,
An alignment may stop the printing from being off the page on the right side. Please complete the steps below;
Align the All-in-One from the product control panel
Follow these steps to align the product from the product control panel.
On the product control panel, touch the Right Arrow ( ).
Touch Setup ( ).
Touch Tools , and then touch Align Printhead . The product performs an alignment and prints an alignment page.
Touch OK to return to the home screen.

  • When printing from web pagess, right margin cuts off print, cant seem to reconfigure. Frames select on print choices does not highlight for printing options. What will help?

    Using a Dell Dimension E310 with Windows XP and Dell photo 924 Print/Scan/Copier. When printing from web pages on the browser the right portion of the print is cut off. It appears that the "folders" frame on the left side of the page is always printing with the page, which cuts off the print on the right side of the main page frame by the width of the "folders" frame. When I select the print command, the choice for selecting a particular frame to print is on the drop down menu, but is not highlighted for use. We have had this problem with Firefox for some time. Printing from IE or Word, etc. does not produce the same problem. We like Firefox otherwise. What is the fix?

    You're right: most web pages do not use frames, so that option usually is not available.
    I don't know why a page that printed just the main content before would change to printing with useless sidebars. Can you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode and see whether it prints/previews correctly there?
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
    [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
    Does that fix it? If so, the difference usually is caused by one of your add-ons. You can restart the regular way and disable all non-essential add-ons here:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Add-ons
    In particular, check the Extensions category.

  • Text to the right is cut off on print/preview of web pages

    To the WebMaster's of oracle.com
    I' still like to print out information from your web site about hot topics (like your recent articles about BPEL), so a long flight will get more interesting..
    However the text to the right is cut off when printing (using IE6 on WinXP). It seems that the formatting requires a minimum width.
    I would also prefer to see the "print view" link at the top of an article and not at the bottom.
    With best regards from Germany,
    Stefan

    Stefan....this problem sometimes occurs with articles containing wide code samples. Can you please provide the specific problem URLs?
    We are aware that the "Print View" functionality is less visible than it could be; unfortunately, moving it to the top of the page isn't as straightforward as it seems. We're working on it.
    Cheers, OTN
    This problem should now be fixed in the three BPEL Cookbook installments.

  • RIGHT SIDE CUT OFF

  • HP Laserjet P1102w - Right side margin cut off when printing in Internet Explorer 9! URGENT PROBLEM*

    Hi,
    I have just purchased a new printer (HP Laserjet P1102W), and when I print a web page in Internet Explorer 9, the footer (I set to the URL) does not print at all and the header will print though the right hand edge of my entire web page is cut off (including my top right header - Pages ? of ?).
    I always use Print Preview first, and in the print preview it looks perfect. I always tick the box to enable shrink to fit too. Why will it look perfect in 'Print Preview' but yet when it prints, it cuts off the right hand side edge of the page and doesnt print the footer?? I have tried adjusting margins, etc... all to no avail.
    I would like to check whether others have this same problem?
    I spoke to HP (UK Printer Support) and they said it is Internet Explorer 9's problem. I have left a message on the Microsodt Web forum which you can see here. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_vista/internet-exploer-9-not-printing-header...
    I am hoping they may release a patch / hotfix - but this has to be affecting many other users of this printer too? The more of us that complain, the quicker it will get sorted.
    Any others with the same problem?
    Thanks.

    I spoke with Microsoft technical support via phone today. Between us - we seemed to have found the problem.
    It's to do with the DPI (the font size) settings in Windows!?
    I have mine set to 188% on my Windows Vista mahcine and 200% on my Windows 7 laptop.
    From my Printing tests in Internet Explorer 9...
    at 100 % DPI – it prints perfectly
    at 150% DPI – it prints perfectly
    at 200% DPI – the right side of the margin is cut off, and no footer is printed – despite it looking perfect in the Print Preview.
    I am using http://uk.msn.com/ as my test print outs.
    This indicates when the DPI is changed above 150%, IE9 doesn't print properly – though other browsers like Safari or Firefox do print correctly. This surely has to indicate a bug in either the Windows operating system or Internet Explorer 9?
    Microsoft are going to run their own tests and phone me back tomorrow...hopefully with a solution!
    Hope this helps any others with the same problem at the moment!
    Would be great if HP could provide a soloution asap - surely a tweak to the Printer dirvers will fix the problem?

  • Print PDF Directly to Printer - Margins cut off

    Hello,
    I am using an application called PeopleSoft, and we generate out report files in PDF format.
    If I direct the output file directly to the printer then the right and bottom margins are cutting off the document text.
    Whereas, if I direct the printer out put to a network drive, then open the PDF in an PDF reader of Acrobate, then print the file it works fine.
    Can anyone explain to me why this is so, and if there is a way to change the margins, when sending the output to the printer. To ensure the entire document is printed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt.

    Yes, same PDF file.
    I run a batch process that generates the report output file, I can choose to direct the output directly to a network printer, or save it to a network drive.
    If I choose to direct the output run to the printer then the right margins and bottom margin is cutting off the text of the actual report file.
    However, if I direct the output to be saved to the network drive, then open it using Adobe Reader, then print it, the entire report document fits easily within the margins and no text is being cut-off.
    I lack the technical knowledge to explain how/why this is happening.

  • Printing web pages margins cut off

    When I print web pages with any of 3 printers, the left and right margins are cut off by about one letter. Using HP printers, Leopard. Doesn't occur with other programs such as mail, Word etc. Print options in Safari do not include margins. Any suggestions?

  • Unwanted margin cutting off design when printing document

    I've laid out a design in InDesign that is meant to be printed on a precut 5.5" square card.  The document is set up as a 5.5" square with no margins... my design is set to the edge of the card on the screen.  when i print on 8.5"x11" everything is fine all images appear - nothing is cut off.  when i print on my precut cards the images get cut off by a 1/8" margin on all edges of the card.  printer settings are set to have no margins as well.  i've never had this problem before and can't seem to solve it.  i tried to make the document a PDF and print it that way but the same thing happened.  i contacted epson (i print with an epson RX595) and this is what they said:
    "The program that you are having problems printing from probably requires a Postscript Printer Definition (PPD) and this printer does not have one available from Epson. In order to get a PPD for the printer, you will need to look for third party RIP programs that will work with your printer.
    Another option may be to save the file as a PDF before printing as this will mask PS fonts and EPS files (even if you do not use PS fonts this may be necessary).
    If the issue persists, we recommend contacting the program vendor or Apple for additional support."
    any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!

    Just a guess, but if this is a borderless printer you probably need to click the setup button in the print dialog to access the driver settings, and pick the borderless page size there, then set the size inthe print dialog to "defined by driver."

  • PDF printing margins cut off

    Hi,
    every time I try to print a PDF directly from Safari 7.0.2, the edges get cut off.
    If I download the PDF and print it using Preview or Acrobat, everything is fine. Chrome can print perfectly, so it is not a browser thing.
    There are tons of threads about safari cutting edges, wrong margins, etc. I tried a few of workarounds, some dark magic plist editing, nothing helps.
    It is not only me, all users of my webapp are reporting the same problem.
    Must I disable Safari for my users and ask them to switch to firefox or chrome?
    Please help

    Hey Apple, I thought you wanted to place Safari as a competitive browser!
    Still the same issue on Safari 7.0.3, the margins simply cut off parts of any pdf. It looks like it is a margins issue, but I am not sure.
    I am moving all my users to Chrome or Firefox!
    PLEASE FIX!!!

  • After effects composition - right side cut off - last frame in premiere

    I have a ppro project - creative suite monthly cs6 - osx 10.9.5 mavericks (latest before yosemite upgrade)
    at the end of the project - I have an after effects composition. It is fine until the last frame - where the far right 1/8 or so is being cut off of the slide. (see image below). The frame before the end? perfect. The final frame - cut off.
    If I extend the ae composition one frame longer - the same issue happens (the second to the last frame is perfect, the last frame is cut off). same with making it 1 frame shorter.
    I have never seen anything like it.
    when I check my effects controls - I have nothing active (no opacity, no "crop" etc.) - my height/width are all exactly the same in both frames.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Teloscientist,
    That's the End of Sequence Indicator. Expected behavior. It doesn't show on your exports, so don't worry. In Premiere Pro 2014.1, you can disable it.
    Thanks,

  • Print bordless page, margin cut off

    Hello ,
    I have a problem on printing on bordless page type. Even though I set up thepage to have 0 margins (the printer allows me this - so I am not forcing it to 0), I have 2 possible situations:
    - if I use the setPageable, before printing I will have the image considered to be at 0,0 , but the printer leaves a margins, so the image looks cut off
    - if I use setPrintable(..) then the image is printed from a certain margin, the image is no longer cut off, but is not on 0,0 either.
    Any sugestions?
    Many thnx in advance!

    Here is some code:
    pageFormat - is an object taken from a page Format dialog, one of my own, the values passed from there are OK.
    PrintRequestAttributeSet attributeSet = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
                   MediaPrintableArea mediaPrintableArea;
                   mediaPrintableArea = new MediaPrintableArea((float) (pageFormat
                             .getPaper().getImageableX() / 72), (float) (pageFormat
                             .getPaper().getImageableY() / 72), (float) (pageFormat
                             .getPaper().getImageableWidth() / 72), (float) (pageFormat
                             .getPaper().getImageableHeight() / 72), MediaSize.INCH);
                   attributeSet.add(mediaPrintableArea);
                   attributeSet.add(pagePrintFormat.getMediaName());
                   if (pagePrintFormat.getPageFormat().getOrientation() == PageFormat.PORTRAIT) {
                        attributeSet.add(OrientationRequested.PORTRAIT);
                   } else {
                        attributeSet.add(OrientationRequested.LANDSCAPE);

  • HT4356 printing page from facebook using picture and airprint page in upper left quadrant with words and margin cut off

    I have a ipad 4 with 6700 hp printer. I was told by support that the way to print a page from facebook was to take a picture of the page and then print the picture. When I do this the picture is printed in the upper left hand quadrant with part of the wording cut off. Is the only or best way to print from facebook and how can I fix the location of the print. Seems Hoaky to me

    Well after weeks of anguish, trips to the apple store (not very professional ), calls to Apple support (no help), calls to HP support, they transfered me to airprint support who actually told me how to fix my problem. For an HP printer download from the app store HPAIO remote print. You have to search on AIO remote print. Installed this app and now I can make the print work like I would like. Good luck

  • Print is too large. Articles right margin is off page when printing.

    Items are too close to right margin of screen so part of article cannot be seen Firefox 5.
    Items moved to tray when clicked are reduced in size. When finished with them cannot delete them since right side is too close to edge and the delete x is not shown. Only the minimize to move to tray.

    Hello ,  I would like to see if I can help with printing from the internet on Windows 10. Are you using the new web browser Microsoft Edge? How does the print preview show? This video goes through the print settings in Microsoft Edge, maybe it might help you find the desired print settings. Maybe changing the scale settings?
      I also found this video;   Please let me know if any of these steps resolved your issue, or if there is anything else I can do to help.  I look forward to hearing from you!  Thanks,

  • My emails are cut off at right margin so I can't view whole message.

    Well, shut my mouth!  There was a similar question over to the right about a 6th generation nano repeating over and over again -- I read the answer to that one, followed the instructions, and holy crap, it's back to normal.
    Is there a name for this when you end up replying to your own aggravating question?  That's what I did.  Now I can go out and listen.  It's only 91 degrees.  Heaven. Thanks, Apple.

  • Right side of placed images being cut off when exported to PDF

    Hi all,
    I'm a beginner still trying to wrap my mind around InDesign and all its features, and have encountered a problem with exporting to PDF. The right-most 1-4 pixels are cut off! I think my problem may be related to what was discussed in this thread:
    Indesign, Image problem with PDF export... right side cut-off...
    But my issue has nothing to do with Visio. I'm simply placing PNG and JPG files that have already been created and are stored locally on my computer. I found that the only way to solve this is to add a few pixel columns of white/empty space to my images so the right side frame line in the images (created by Adobe Illustrator) appear.
    Having to alter my images first before placing them in InDesign is obviously not the best or the correct solution.
    Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem and how to correct it? Maybe there's a setting somewhere for image frames that needs to be adjusted?

    Hello again Willi,
    1. I'm using CS6 Version 8.0
    2. Umm... well, I'm VERY embarrassed to say Windows XP (my company is purchasing a new computer for me - I'm using what they have on hand at the moment...).
    3. The graphics are coming from Adobe Illustrator installed on a separate Windows 7 computer. I have a graphic designer colleague who creates images for the installation manuals I put together.
    4. Actually just this morning yet another colleague pointed out that PDF was the better format to use. Yet again I'm VERY embarrassed to say that I used to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create these manuals, and PowerPoint can't import PDF images. I'm trying hard to work with more professional software! That's why my colleague sent me PNG images.
    5. Here's a screenshot below. Remember I'm the guy who asked you that user manuals question in the other thread.
    To explain: the first step's image is in PDF format. The image's border appears fine. The second step's image is in PNG format, and yes, not only does the quality appear to be poorer, but even worse is the fact that the right side border is cut off. This is the same for the same image in JPG format. The other steps don't have images - they're just empty image frames with strokes specified in InDesign.
    Sure, we can use PDFs from now on, but still, the fact that other formats have this issue is bothersome. In Microsoft PowerPoint this wasn't an issue. Any idea?
