Ringtone/itunes store sign in

I am trying to make a ringtone out of songs that have the bell next to them. When I click on the bell it starts to open the ringtone editor, then says I need to sign into the Itunes store, I fill in my account info. but it wont take my password? I am already logged into the store and have no problems buying songs and getting account info. I tried buying a tv show to get the new terms of service, which I did but I still cant get passed the login window to get to the ringtone editor. I have not purchased a specific ringtone, but several of my previous song purchases have the bell available.
Thanx, Chris

  • ITunes Store Sign-In Error

    Hi Everybody,
I'm new here and hoping I can get my iTunes issue solved.
Every time I try to sign into the iTunes Store, I've been getting this error message...
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
However, I'm still connected to the internet when I get this message. I know the error is not with my ISP, because I can log into iTunes using my iPod Touch. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
    PS-
I have the latest iTunes update (8.2) and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes several times. No luck...

Anybody out there that can help me?

  • ITunes Store signing in troubles

Why does it keep saying unable to sign into iTunes Store wanting to view purchase history, logging in with correct Apple ID and password, any suggestions very frustrated

Apple’s having trouble with the iTunes Store servers right now. Wait for them to resolve the issue.
Feel free to check up on the issue @ http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
This outage started @ 5am est (~10 hours ago).
I'm disappointed in Apple's inability to do the smart thing, and post a notice in the header of the site, this is a user-wide issue, you don't just hide the fact it's happening behind a server status page.

  • How to stop itunes store sign in prompt when opening music

When opening music on i pod touch, the prompt box appears asking me to sign in to i-tunes every time.  This also happens when device is reactivated using passcode - but only if music is already open.
How do I stop this prompt happening?

Even though not logged in to iTunes, the "sign in" box had my apple id showing ...... but no password.
I clicked on the box to sign out completely, and have now resolved the repeated prompt.
I did not want to have to sign in to iTunes.
    Thanks for help.  Issue resolved.

  • Album art and iTunes Store Sign in other countries

I live in a small country, I don't know if we will get able to access the store some day but something like the album art could be available to everyone, I don't get why the restriction to only store accounts.
    1. Make it available without the sign-in
    or,
    2. Create a sign-in without the option to purchase in order to use this new feature in iTunes in all the other countries that have no store available.
      Mac OS X (10.4.7)

If you can find the cover art you want online, you can just tell iTunes to forget the artwork for those songs and add the art you want manually.

  • Apps update issue - iTunes Store sign-in/Apple ID

Thanks in advance for your help.  My iPhone 5s is set to automatically update my apps.  This has been working fine.  Today, however there is a problem.  Today the App Store app is prompting me to manually update the apps, and the ID it is asking me for the password for is not mine - it's my wife's.
This is very strange, and I asked myself if I've made any changes to either mine or my wife's iphone settings recently.  I've only made one change, 2 days ago.  The change I made was on my wife's iphone 5s.  She was getting a message about not enough storage on her iCloud to complete a backup.  When I took a look, I saw that there were 2 devices on the account, her new phone ("this iPhone") and the previous phone we wiped and gave away.  So I deleted the old device since it was sucking up all her storage.
At first I didn't see how there could be a connection with my issue, but I've noted one thing which may not be coincidental.  In looking at my app update history, I can see that the last day any apps were auto updated was the same day and prior to I made the change to my wife's phone. Must be a connection?
Can someone help with a diagnosis, recommended next steps, etc?

When an app that is updating is asking for an alternate password or Apple id login, that is due to the fact that the login the app is asking for IS THE Login that was used when the app was first purchased/downloaded.
What one must do in this situation is to logout of your device with your current apple id login and then to log back in with the alternate apple id login . Once login in with the requested apple id you then will be able to update the cantankerous app.
    Good luck!

  • How do you sign in to itunes store???

What password do you use to sign in? So far I have three passwords for different Apple devices. How many more do I need? And there are NO places under the Itunes menu for passwords, none!

It's the same Apple ID you use to sign into the iTunes Store.
To enter it on the ATV to got Settings > General > iTunes Store > Sign In. You can also set other options as well.

  • "iTunes has stopped working" when going to iTunes store

Opening iTunes works fine, until I click on the "iTunes store" button. The I get the message "iTunes  has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
This happened just after upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1
"view account" produces the same error.
Login into account works fine. (menu bar at top left; iTunes store > sign in)
    I'm using iTunes 11.1.2
    C:\Users\username\App Data\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins\ is empty
    Quicktime starts fine.
    Unintstalled and reinstalled iTunes.
Same problem occurs in safemode (ctr shift start up).
I tried deleting the SC Info.sid* files, but problem still occurs.
    Updating genius works fine.
Still occurs when running as administrator
Ran repair from the control panel on both iTunes and quicktime.
Any suggestions on what I can do about this?

I am running Windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.1.3.8.  I found a simple solution by browsing through the support communities.  Here it is:   Copy QTMovieWin.dll from:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
This worked for me.  Good luck.

  • ITune store keeps asking for password and will not download

Updated the iTune to the newest edition, 11.0.3.42. Now, when I try to purchase new videos or music, the itune store will repeatedly ask for password, even though I put the password in correctly, the box will pop up again asking for password as if I have not input the password at all. It will not finish the transaction or download. The only way I can purchanse anything is to sign out of iTune store, sign back it and make the purchase. Anyone else experience this problem?

I downloaded and installed iTunes and it seems to have fixed the problem:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
I should note that my problem was on Mac.

  • Cannot create ringtones in iTunes Store.

Hi all... I just got an iPhone and setup/activation all went fine. Then I signed in to the iTunes store to buy some ringtones and it won't let me. I can see the bell icon on ringtone-eligible songs, but when I click it I get a page entitled "Learn more about ringtones for your iPhone" which basically just gives step-by-step instructions on how to do it. At the bottom of the page is a "Go back" button which takes me back to the list of songs. I do not get the ringtone editor.
So I tried it another way... using the "Create ringtone..." command in the Store menu. But I can't click it because it's grayed out.
So then I tried this: i go to my own music library (not the store) and choose a song I already purchased from iTunes that I know is ringtone-eligible. I right-click on the track and choose "Create ringtone..." from the contextual menu. The ringtone editor appears for a like half a second, then disappears and I'm prompted to log in to the iTunes store. So I enter my password and click Sign In and the login prompt appears again. So I try again and the same thing happens yet again. The only way out is to click cancel and give up.
Can someone help me???? It's totally frustrating.

I had the same problem until I realized that I first need to buy the song and then create the ringtone from the already purchased song. The instructions could have been made clearer on this, and it would be great if you could use the ring tone creation tool to check if the song really fits before you buy the song…
    Good luck

  • HT201272 I purchased a ringtone from itunes store on my I phone 5 but cannot find how to assign it to my ringtone

I purchased a ringtone from itunes store on my iphone5 but cannot find how to assign it as my ringtone. Can anyone offer suggestions please

    Help again! lol
tonight I tried to download a ringtone to my iPhone 5.  Picked out the one I wanted, clicked on "buy" and was asked for my p/w & if I wanted to assign it to a contact.  Yes, entered correct p/w & yes.  NO DOWNLOAD - it doesn't show up in my Ringtones under "Sounds" or "Text Tones" and a search of my phone doesn't show it.  So, even though my balance was subtracted the cost, I tried again....still doesn't show up on the phone OR in iTunes on my iMac or iPad - and I was charged for it again!!   ETA: It doesn't even show up in recent purchases.?!?
iMatch is turned on in all devices and I noticed that in iTunes on my iMac, there is NO tab for "Ringtones" or "Tones" in the top menu across my iTunes screen....however, in my library on the Mac there IS a line item for ringtones, but it's empty when I click on it.  This is the 2nd ringtone I've purchased that doesn't show up; thrtefore I cannot use either one but have been charged for both...GRRR
I also noticed tonight that a lot of my options in my Library on the Mac are "grayed out" so I can't even get into them. Yes, I'm signed in & all devices are
authorized.  Can't even sync my iPhone & yes I checked that it's marked on both devices.  *sigh*
What do I need to do?  The closest Apple store is over an hour away from me.  Should I reset iTunes or the iPhone (or both)?  Not really what I want to do on my long weekend now that I'm finally down to 2 jobs 6 days a week!
TIA for any help anyone can give me!
(BTW, it turned out the other ringtone I'd purchased on 12/1/11 was no longer available (3rd ringtone - actually 1st so the ones in this question are #'s 2 & 3), and Apple was kind enough to give me some free songs.)

  • Error Message 11556 when trying to sign in to iTunes Store

For the past week or so, when trying to sign in to the iTunes Store, I get an unknown error message (11556). I don't have any connectivity problems... I can connect to the internet without any problems... my iTunes opens the internet when I click on Apple Support. I can't find any information in the Apple Support other than to check my computer for connection problems. Help please!

I had the same error code when trying to sort out Home Sharing on my Daughters iMac. The error turned out to be that my Daughters iMac was not authorised with my Apple Account (in iTunes go to Store / Authorise Computer). Also ensure that Parental Controls are not enables within the iTunes preferences.
    Hope this helps.
