Robohelp 10 - Javahelp aborts while generating

I just upgraded a project from Robohelp 7 to Robohelp 10, both HTML. This project works with two different outputs: Microsoft HTML Help and JavaHelp. I was able to successfully generate the HTML Help output without issue, however, the JavaHelp consistently aborts at the same point in the generation process each time. Once it reaches the point where it indicates that it is "Generating JavaHelp system," it gets through all of the topics, the TOC, and then Robohelp aborts when the Output View indicates that it is Processing the Index. If it is relevant, the Robohelp 7 version of this project was maintained from a virtual machine, and the JavaHelp output was done to a local folder on that machine before being checked into Source Control. The Robohelp 10 version is now on my local machine, so we had to setup the appropriate location to set the output to a local folder on my machine. We were able to successfully do this, but now the generate function will not complete. All source files are maintained in a network folder, and the HTML help has its output in that network folder. Only the JavaHelp output is local, but I never had an issue with it when it had a local output on the aforementioned virtual machine. If any other setup/configuration information is necessary, please let me know.

  • Robohelp 8 JavaHelp and Oracle Help

It is said that JavaHelp Help and Oracle Help can be the output format of RoboHelp project in the help of RoboHelp. But I can not find a way to generate JavaHelp or Oracle Help. Could you tell me does RoboHelp 8 support it?
Generate and publish output from the command prompt. I use the command as below:
      "e:\test_RoboHelp\robotest\robotest.xpj -l WebHelp -o E:\test_RoboHelp\a"
"e:\test_RoboHelp\robotest\robotest.xpj" is a project which does exist. But Why the output folder is not "E:\test_RoboHelp\a" as I have set?
by the way, Does RoboHelp have a plan to support HTML Help 2.x?

    Hi there
Indeed RoboHelp *CAN* produce JavaHelp and Oracle Help as advertised. However, it isn't configured out of the box to do this. I consider it to be similar to advertising that a pickup truck (errr, sorry Peter, Craig and Colum - I mean LORRY) is able to tow a Boat or a Camper to a lake. Sure, you can tow these items, but there are a few requirements!
You must have a Boat or Camper to tow
You need to install the optional towing package
In order to produce these help output types you will need to separately install the Java Development Kit. Fellow Adobe Community Expert Peter Grainge has some information on his site at the link below.
Click here to visit Peter's site
That covers JavaHelp. I'm unsure about Oracle Help, but would expect it to be similar.
Are we to assume the code referring to E:\test... is your own code?
If so, I see an issue with it. E:\ likely refers to a network location. In my many years of supporting RoboHelp via the forums I can't begin to tell you how many folks have arrived reporting issue after issue after issue that was caused by working on projects while they are stored on network locations.
HTML Help 2 never took off for public use. Mostly Microsoft used it internally. As there is no real generic public outcry for it, I'd be shocked if RoboHelp were to suddenly begin offering it. If you would like to cast your vote for it to be added as an output option, visit the Wish Form.
    Hopefully this helps... Rick

  • Error while generating a role

    Hi SAP Techies,
I am getting the following error while generating a role,
"18 field value(s) for object K_CCA were not entered in the profile"
Can you please provide me a solution to fix this problem.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Agustuss

How many cost centres are you putting in the role?  Do you have cost centre set as an org level?
From your User Name I assume that you are at the BBC...Do you still use a program to populate the cost centres in the role based on the cost centre group names?  If so it is possible that you are trying to put too many cost centres in the field and the the profile will not generate because of this (we had it back in 2001 when I was working there).
Do you have the technical error message details?

I think this is an ADS error. This is a reason why pdf's are not working. We had the same issue.

  • Error while generating HTML

    Hi,
I have a design studio application I want to share publicly on BI Launch Pad for my company. The dashboard/application made in design studio works fine locally and on BI Platform public folder (through my login credentials).
However, when other people from the company try to view this DS application, it throws "Error while generating HTML"
    The root cause is:
The initial exception which caused the request to fail was:
    Index: 0, Size: 0
Any clue why such a thing might be happening?

    What version of BI4x/patch?
Looks like this error has been shown before on older versions of the BI Platform - see Error HTML in Mobile BI App, not in local (version 1.4)

  • Error while generating Data provider

We are facing a weird issue while using Design Studio 1.2. Locally the tool works fine but when we use it from BI-Launchpad or through BI Enterprise it gives intermittent error "Error while generating Data Provider"
Same setup works fine in our Validation Environment.
We have tried running repair for Design Studio, redeploy the war files, creating new view but issue still exist.
We have BI 4.0 SP7 installed on Windows 2008 R2 system.
4 CMS running in cluster, Design Studio 1.2 is installed on 3 Nodes out of 4.
For now we are using 1 tomcat to access the system to narrow down the issue.
Experts please help us to resolve this issue.
Attach is the error message we are receiving

I am not clear what your data source is, but I recommend checking the PAM https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001013822013E because there are some limitations with Design Studio and BI4.0

It seems there is a variable of type "long" in your applet. The "long" type is not supported by Java Card, so you should remove all variables with type "long".
Otherwise, without the source code, it is difficult to help you find out what's wrong.
