Rotation lock icon doesn't exist

My q10 has the latest update(10.2.0.424) the screen doesn't rotate , I can't find the rotation lock icon, here is a picture of the panel

I will investigate this further to find out why the rotation lock is gone. Have you check under Settings>Display to see if the setting is listed there.

Did you try to wait a bit longer before restarting Firefox to give Firefox more time to close down completely?

Ipads purchased in the UAE do not have FaceTime as it is prohibited by the UAE. You cannot add FaceTime to those iPads no matter where it might be used.

In order to download the software, your computer must meet the system requirements to run the software.

The usual reason for not being able to download is that Premiere Pro (and other video apps such as After Effects) are 64 bit only so they require a 64 bit computer and a 64 bit operating system.
If you're running a 32 bit computer and operating system then you will not see the Premiere Pro icon since the software will not run on your computer.

I just upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and since the "lock" icon never appears when accessing secure websites, where should I look for it?

I just recently upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and now the "lock" icon doesn't appear anywhere (I can find) when accessing secure websites. I haven't seen it once. It used to appear in the lower right corner of the screen. I also have Norton Internet Security.

Padlock is no longer part of Firefox; it was removed beginning in Firefox 4. The padlock shows that there is a secure connection but does not supply additional information. You could have made a typographical error and still have been connected to a secure connection. The padlock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site Identity Button. Familiarize yourself with the Site Identity Button at the left end of the Location Bar:

The "Lock/Unlock" feature is enabled by installing a compatible Smart Cover/Case (or third-party equivalent) with an embedded magnet in the correct position in the cover. Are you using a real Apple product? If not, the cover/case you are using may not have the magnet in the right place or may not even have one at all.
If you ARE using a real Apple Smart Cover/Case and you have an Apple Store nearby, have them check both the case and cover you are using. You may have a bad magnectic switch on the iPad or a faulty cover/case.
I also remember reading here of a Smart Case/Cover which had the magnet installed upside-down and was repelling rather than attracting. You might want to take the cover off and flip it to verify this...you'll have to slide the cover around in different positions on the right-hand bezel on the iPad to see if you can activate the magnet.
The setting (when enabled by a compatible Smart Cover/Case) would be under Settings/General.

Mail does not show lock icon on received, encrypted messages.

While sending an encrypted email message to my own account (exchange server), I've noticed since updating
to Mavericks, that the lock icon no longer exists within the header being displayed.
I have Mail set to classic view. It does display the email decrypted. If the classic view is switched
off, the message header indicates that the same email message has no content. THis is very odd.
The Mail help indicates the following:
A signed icon (a checkmark) appears in the header area of a signed message. To view the certificate details, click the icon.If the message was altered after it was signed, Mail displays a warning that it can’t verify the message signature.
A lock icon appears in the header area of an encrypted message. If you have your private key in your keychain, the message is decrypted for viewing. Otherwise, Mail indicates it can’t decrypt the message.
This does not appear to work as indicated for 10.9 or 10.9.1
(Mavericks is fully patched.)
In the previous version of OS, Mail implemented these functions just fine.
Is there a solution available to get these working again?

Yes, it happens to me in just one of the 4 accounts I have in the program.
But anyway, now my Mac is making some nosenses, like to show menus mixing english and spanish in the buttons, I can not change my desktop, and in fact not all pictures appear in the menu... the computer runs very slowly, fixing permissions cost around 20 minutes, a lot of small issues that are getting me very upset with Leopard.
But the big a real problem is the Mail, that is working very very bad, and this is my main tool for working.
Meanwhile I'm adquiring a bigger HD and more memory for my Mac, trying to give it more power, because for example in my 98 GB HD I just have 9 GB free.
I hope this will be fixed very soon, because it means a great hurt to my job.

IPhone Screen Rotation lock

Upgraded my phone and a new rotation lock icon appeared at the top. Finally figured out how to turn it off.
Double click menu key and move icons to left and it will expose the rotation lock icon. Just press. Easy once you know where it is.

Double tap phone button and slide icons over to expose iPod controls. There is a rotation icon. Just press and "Shazzam" unlocked.

Lock icon on add comment.

When I publish my iweb pages I allow user comments. But after publishing the pages a small lock icon appears next to the "add comment" link on every page. I'm using MobileMe account and iWeb 08
Anyone know how I can remove the lock so users can add comments to my pages.

HT4623 SOMEHOW the icon for rotation lock is missing from the control bar. I tried to reset but my passcode doesn't work. First, how do I find my passcode? Then, if I reset, will it return the rotation lock to the control bar?

I don't know how it happened why, but the icon for rotation lock is missing from the control bar. Second problem, the passcode for my iPad isn't working. I wrote it down, so not sure what the problem is. HELP

If the setting for the rotation lock is missing it is because you are using the side switch to control the rotation in Settings>General>Use Side Switch to>Lock Rotation. The software switch in the control center should be for Muting system sounds.
you have to restore the iPad in orde to unlock it now.
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong ...
If you are sure that you are entering the correct passcode, reboot the iPad and then try again and see if it is accepted.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How can I quit my iPhoto screen that as crashed and locked on. The locked screen has no iPhoto file list on the left and the part of the screen that should have uploaded photos is blank except for the rotating download icon in the centre of screen. Help?I

My SD card reader has caused my iPhoto screen to be locked with no list of files on the lefthand side and a blank main photo area apart from the rotating download icon operating in the centre of the photo part of the screen.
I have tried to quit iphoto but when I restart it the same locked screen appears.
I believe I caused this problem when I removed my SD device without first ejecting it when the blank screen appeared without downloading my new photos.
Can anyone help a 66 year old computer illiterate fool ?.

Use Force Quit (under the Apple menu at the top) to close iPhoto. Then try opening it again. If it locks up again force quit and try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists.
If the problem does not persist try the following: make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If the problem persists in the test library do the following: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Rotation lock doesn't work for the camera?

I can't lock the rotation for the camera and it's infuriating. I've locked the rotation on my phone by sliding up and pressing the lock, and that works for all my other apps. However, when using the camera, it will still rotate. I don't want to, nor should I have to, edit every single picture and rotate them afterwards. Been through my settings and can't figure it out. Any help would be great!

There is no "rotation lock" on iPhones as there is on iPads. There is Portrait mode lock, which locks the screen to portrait view. (There is no way to lock to landscape view on an iPhone.) Portrait lock would not be very usefull for the camera.
