Rotation of screen is not functioning

Rotation of my ipad air screen is not functional. I tried all possibilities at control center ,but it's displaying horizontal alignment only. Please advice.

The home button is the one on the front with the squarish circle on it, the sleep/power button is on the top/side (depending on how you're holding it....you'll have two buttons together, which is hte volume/rotation lock and then around the edge from that is the sleep button)

Try this:
First you can try signing out messages and then back in.
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

Touch screen will not function on email

Hi, the touch screen on my Iphone 4 will not function when I open email. It seems to work with all other apps/areas on the phone. In addition, I cannot power off as the power off button does nothing, nor can I do a hard reset. Has anyone else had this problem or know what I can do to fix this? Thank you!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Photo Screen Saver not functioning with Yosemite Upgrade

Recently I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite. I have always used a folder in iPhoto for my screen saver via system preferences. Ever since the upgrade this folder will no longer function as the screen saver. The screen saver option in System Preferences always defaults to Apples National Geographic photos that is installed with Yosemite. After I select the folder I want I "preview" the screen saver and my photos are there. Once the screen saver kicks itself in, the NG photos are there and the system settings are back to NG photos and not my photos. Now, I will admit the NG photos are far above my photos, but I really prefer my photos. Is Apple evaluating photo quality on the screen savers? Kidding - any ideas?

Close all windows and quit all applications.
Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menubar.
Select "Library" from the dropdown, then "Preferences" folder.
Look for these two files.
com.apple.desktop.plist
com.apple.systempreferences.plist
Right click each one of those and select " Move To Trash" from the contextual menu.
Restart the computer.

Have you checked the position of the screen rotate lock swich?

Hopefully, that's the problem. Just slide the switch to the other position and try again.

IPad Mini Screen is not functioning correctly

so recently i took my ipad mini into the car and its pretty hot in there, but not as hot as to make you break a sweat- just pretty clammy. my ipad was charged around 70-80% and i put the brightness all the way up so i could see the screen display. This worked for a while, until i opened an app and the ipad suddenly shut off- or at least the screen went black. I tried to restart it and held down on the power button for 10+ seconds. I couldnt see anything, so i figured i would need to charge it- but it was more than halfway charged so this really confused me.
Then i started searching online- a couple of people on a few forums had the same problem- i tried holding both the home and power button for 10 seconds- nothing happened. I tried smacking my ipad (like what the forum said) and nothing happened. I tried connecting it to itunes and i heard the charging noise. Then finally, i went into a dark room and used a flashlight to angle at it and i could see the screen only faintly- the sounds work- i hear the keys click and My email and messages being recieved but the screen is just too dark to be even slightly noticeable in natural light. I tried working with the brightness but no matter where i slid it- it stayed the same. I can really only play music but that would still take a hassle to set up. All my other apps work but i am not able to use them because of how dim the screen is. I use my ipad for everything- school, digital art, the works... any suggestions?

Try resetting it again. HOld down the sleep and home for 10-20 seconds or so, until you see the silver apple. See if it reboots.

My ipod spent the night in contact solution and the screen does not function anymore but my computer recognized and synced. Is there a way to have it repaired by apple?

No one here can answer that unless they can physically examine your iPod. Just take the iPod to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. The repair techs there can answer your questions.

ARD 3 : Custom "Lock Screen Picture" not functional?

It seems as though things have changed with the way that the Lock Screen Picture feature is handled from ARD 2, whereas now the only working solution I have found is to swap out the Lock.jpg file located in "/System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/AppleVNCServer.bundle/Contents/S upport/LockScreen.app/Contents/Resources".
Obviously this is not an elegant solution, but at the present it seems to be the only approach I have found that works.
Has anyone been able to get the documented approach to work? Is there a different way that is easier to deploy?

As per the subject of this post, that technique does not seem to work now.
I've attempted the following:
- a custom "Lock Screen Picture" w/ and w/o an extension in /Library/Preferences
- w/ Quicktime & Preview as the associated applications
- a copy of the original Lock.jpg from the package as the file
None of these things work, whereas the approach I mention earlier does.
I guess I should have reiterated in the body of my message that the solution you point out is not working (at least for me).

Custom "Lock Screen Picture" not functional?

Hi, the Remote Desktop manual method of changing the lock screen picture still doesn't work for me.
Am I doing something wrong?
Method from Apple Remote Desktop Manual:
1 Create a picture using a graphics program, such as AppleWorks.
2 Save the picture in PICT, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, or any other QuickTime-compatible static image
format.
QuickTime-compatible movies or QuickTime VR objects cannot be used.
3 Name the picture “Lock Screen Picture”.
4 Copy the “Lock Screen Picture” file to /Library/Preferences/ on the client computer.
PowerMac G5 Dual 2.3ghz Mac OS X (10.4.8)

The method listed in the manual has never worked and still doesn't, as far as know, with 3.1, though I haven't tested it with 3.1 myself yet. The only working solution I have found is to swap out the Lock.jpg file located in
"/System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/AppleVNCServer.bundle/Contents/Su pport/LockScreen.app/Contents/Resources".

I can not rotate the screen writing a sms to write it horizontaly.

I have a one touch fire Alcatel and when writing an SMS can do it only verticaly, can not rotate the screen
to write it horizontally.
I would like to know id it may be a software problem ir just cant do it.

Swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center. You will then find the orientation lock in the top row, last icon on the right. White is on, black is off. Tap and turn it off. If you see the lock symbol, then orientation lock is on, and that is what is keeping it in the portrait mode.
