Rule containing "Mark as Read" and "Move to Folder" does not remove New Mail Notification

They passed the buck to this forum. Can anyone help? Here is my original post:
I have set up a rule so that emails from a certain sender should be marked as 'read' and routed to a certain folder. The rule works just fine except for the fact that it does not remove the new mail notification from the taskbar icon
or the system tray. The rule reads as follows:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with New Home Sale in the subject
move it to the _New Home Sales folder
and mark it read
Once I open the _New Home Sales folder, all messages are marked as read, as they should be. When I open any of the emails in this folder, the notification goes away. It does not even have to be the most recent email or the same folder
- opening any email from any folder clears the notification, even if the same email was used to clear it before. Previewing does not remove the notification.
I have a similar rule set up for another folder:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with New Home Final Sale in the subject
move it to the _New Home Final Sales folder
and mark it as read
The same thing happens here with the unread notification.
This is very annoying, as I want to receive these emails but I do not need to know every time one comes in.
Does anyone have any advice on this? I have read a few threads about an unread email bug, but I'm hoping I'm just missing a setting somewhere. I find it hard to believe such a bug would persist this long.

From your description, I would like to verify the Exchange version and Outlook version at first. Since I have a test in my environment using Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010. I create a same inbox rule, it works and there is no new mail notification from
the taskbar.
What's more, I recommend you use Outlook safe mode to determine whether the problem is caused by add-ins.
If the issue persists, please install the Outlook latest Service Packs and check the result.

I have seen this posted before, but never any resolution. This is very frustrating to me.
I have an Exchange account set up in the the latest version of Mail.app (4.4.1082) for OS X 10.6.6. I have rules set up for this account that tell Mail.app to mark the message as read after moving the message to a specific folder if it meets the provided criteria. The rule does move the message to the proper folder, but it does not mark the message as read. This only seems to affect Exchange accounts.
Has anybody experiencing this found a resolution? I have tried separating the rules or putting them in a different order (and mail just reorders them the way it wants which is frustrating to me as well). Seems no matter how I do it the mail either gets marked and not moved or moved and not marked.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Ummm...Safari 5 doesn't run on the iPad. It runs on Mac OS and Windows.

Pocket does not mark as read and move to next item

When I click on the Read Something tab of Pocket on Firefox, it continues to display the same article over and over. It does not mark it as read and move on to the next item on my list.

Pages (and other iWork apps) does not recognize new words

I don't know for sure whether the problem I'll say is about Pages 5.0 (and iWork, entirely) or about OS X Mavericks. As I'm new in the support community, I would ask to move the question to the right place if it is not already.
About the problem: after upgrading to OS X Mavericks and the new iWork versions, I have noticed one thing. Even though I add new words to Pages' dictionary as I write them, it seems like that makes no difference in a long time. The first insertion and correction are OK, but later, if I type the same new word, it becomes underlined in red, as a clear indication that it is wrong. However, when I go to see the correction options (by either Control-Clicking or Two-Finger-Clicking), no suggestions are shown. And worse, the only possibility (besides copying, cutting...) is to "Unlearn" that word as if it were already known and - presumably - correct.
The same appears to occur in the other iWork applications, but, as I don't do such heavy writing on them, I cannot give a certain opinion on them.
The problem, however, does not affect my productivity, but it is weird to see red marks on correct words. Especially in Engineering or Chemistry terms that are not built-in in those applications.
Just for additional details, I'm using both the system and the iWork applications in Brazilian Portuguese (as I am in Brazil).

Adobe Reader is meant for reading pdf documents.
What is the file type that you are trying to open.
After downloading PSE 12 you need to install it to be abvle to use it.
Does it show in the list of installed programs?
If Yes then what error do you get when you try to launch the software.
Also let me know which OS are you using.

Mail Rules missing "mark as unread" and "mark as unflagged"

I'm adding some new rules in Mac Mail and just noticed that there is no option to "mark as unread" in my list. My friend has it coming up, but it isn't there for me.
When I click to add a new rule, the drop-down for Perform actions lists "delete", "mark as read" and "mark as flagged". I'm missing "mark as unread" and "mark as unflagged".
Why would I be missing those options?

Mail rules doesn't offer these options which is why you don't have them. Your friend must be mistaken. and anyway since the rules are only applied to new messages there is no point in having the option to mark them as unread - they are unread already. You can add a rule to unflag messages using apple script but if I'm not mistaken all new messages are unflagged by default too so there is no point for this one either.

well could you confirm me, the plug-ins you have installed in Photoshop cc, are you able to use the same in the Photoshop cc 2014
you just have to remove the Photoshop cc from the add or remove program in the control panel
and you can go to this link and copy all the plugins to the Photoshop cc 2014

Please re-create the Outlook profile to have a try. If the issue persists, we can do the further checks in Exchange server.
Please make sure you have changed the OAB generation server to Exchange 2010 and enable Web distribution on the Exchange 2010 Client Access server:
Move-OfflineAddressBook "Default Offline Address List" -Server <MBX2010>
If all configurations are correct, please check whether there is any folder in the following path in Exchange sever 2010:
a. OAB generation in Mailbox:
\\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ExchangeOAB
b. OAB distribution in Client Access:
\\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB

At first I thought it might be because I was using simultaneously my old iPhone 4S so it somehow realized the emails where being pushed to another device and the it marked as read, this has nothing to do since I have deleted the email account from the iPhone 4S

PDFs are notorious for being difficult to navigate with a screen reader, because nearly all PDFs are either not remediated for accessibility or poorly remediated. Hopefully that landscape is changing with the proposed new 508 rules, which substantially raise the bar for high quality document accessibility and hopefully will have some legal teeth. Still, JAWS should at least attempt to read any PDF that is not image-only. It should infer the tags if no tags are present. I am not at all familiar with JAWS but it sounds to me like the software may not be configured properly for reading PDFs. The JAWS company Freedom Scientific may be able to help, or posting in a JAWS support forum may yield useful information, or maybe a JAWS expert will chime in here. Sorry I am not able to be of help.

The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.
