Run Time JCo Creation
Hi All,
I have to create JCO at runtime. Based on the SAP client ID, user id,password and system number i have to create JCO. Predefined JCO configuration for a client number thru Portal, is not useful, because i don't know how many users will logon at a time? So, i wish to create JCO based on the user inputs at run time.
I used the following code to create JCO at runtime.
try {
mConnection = JCO.createClient("sapclient",
"userid","password",lanuage,"appserver name", "system number");
mConnection.connect();
}catch (Exception ex) { ex.printStackTrace();
System.exit(1); }
After creating, i got all information like(username,appserver name,system number, etc.)
At this stage i got JCo connection name like 'mConnection'. My question is how to move to next step using mConnection?.
The JcoConnection contains some methods like mConnection.execute(parameter).
1. Is it possible to execute BAPI using JcoConnection created at runtime?
2. How to execute BAPI using JcoConnection created at runtime?
3. Is it necessary to create a model through the wizard in NWDS?
4. If i use execute() method, what are the parameters to be given?
Please help me.
Kind Regards,
S.Saravanan.

Dynamic/Run time attribute creation & storage of attribute history in OID
Hello there,
The client wants to store a history of PIN (user defined field) changes in OID which requires run time creation of attributes to be stored in a particular object class.
Can we modify the OOTB OID connector in some way so that we can create and/or store the values of the newly generated user pin's? If so which method/API can be used? Any hints/clues ... please?
Thanks in advance!I am not sure what is your exact requirement. If i am understanding correctly then you want to an extra field (User Defind Field) value to be stored in OID.
If yes, then
OIM password
If no, please explain a little bit more about your requirement.
And for creation you can attach java code if it is some logical id and you can't generate OOTB. Otherwise you can attach pre populate adapter in that

Run time error while running BDC for production order creation and confirmation:
Dear Gurus,
We have a situation, where the users are trying to do the entries creation of order or confirmation (through manual and BDC). But, if there is any kind of a deficit quantities in consumption or GR quantity, then it is going to run time error and Dumps are coming in program SAPLCORB
and the transaction code is coming for CO11N.
How to avoid this error to run the production system in smoothing way...Any flash lights on this will be great full
Regards,
Madhu.GHi Madhu,
Expert Caetano has rightly point out. Refer Note 1840705 - RAISE_EXCEPTION short dump if running CO11N in background
Cause
The short dump is triggered because SAP transaction CO11N contains new GUI elements that cannot always be dealt with in a background process,
such as the confirmation texts.
Resolution
SAP recommends that the standard production order BAPIs, such as BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT, should be used to post a confirmation in background.
If this is not feasible, the following workaround may be uses:
Define a confirmation profile in transaction OPK0;
In the detail areas, remove the area "Confirmation text";
Set this profile as standard, so that it is chosen automatically by the system when a batch-job
is started;
Assign this confirmation profile to the batch user with transaction SU3 using parameter CORUPROF.
Also see Note 429432 - CO11N: Batch input in background dumps if long text is maintained
Refer to note 1154692 - Endless loop during confirmation in background if you doing Auto GR during confirmations

Planned order creation with sale order assingment at the run time of MRP
some material item not planed with sale order stock in MRP run time. all setting in material master are corrected as i knowing.having some mistake in setting other configuration.
Planning strategy is Make to order individual collective as individual but still come as make to stock plan orders
Incase of Header material- Plan order is creating in MTS
Check the sale order procurement tab, Is The requiremnt type is relevant to your Stratergy?, if not chnage it to correct requiremnt type and rerun MRP again
Incase of component material- Plan order is creating in MTS
Check for the component material MRP 4 View, individual/Coll.req- as 1. If not set as 1 and rerun the MRP again -
Variable Creation During Run Time
Is there anyway to create new instances of variables during run time based off of user input from a command line prompt. Thnx~!
Depends what you mean .. if you mean the user can type "a = 8", and it creates a variable "a" with the value 8, then no.
But you can implement something very similar using a HashMap. Use put("a", new Integer(8)), or whatever, and then get it out later with get("a"). -
Adding complex computed column at run-time fails in PB 12.6
I support a large 'vintage' application that was originally written in the late 90's, and has been migrated from version to version over the years. Currently I'm working to get it working in PB 12.6 Classic, build 3506, migrating it from PB 11.5
The first issue I've come across is that PFC treeviews are not working properly. After some debugging, I determined that the cause of the failure is the PFC code's creation of 'key' column in the datawindows being used to populate each level.
In the pfc_u_tv.of_createkey function, it looks at the linkages between the levels of a treeviews data, and then crafts an expression, and then uses that to create a computed column, which is subsequently used to uniquely identify the data.
The expression is a series of string concatenations, such as this:
expression='String(ctg_cd) + "#$%" + String(app_cd) + "#$%" + String(app_cd) + "#$%" + String(win_id) + "#$%" + String(ctg_cd) + "#$%"'
This expression is then used in a modify statement to create the new compute key column:
ls_rc = ads_obj.Modify("create compute(band=detail x='0' y='0' " + &
"height='0' width='0' name=pfc_tvi_key " + ls_Exp + ")")
In earlier versions, this works, and when you do a getitemstring afterward you get a long concatenated value that PFC uses to uniquely identify treeview items.
Such as 'a/r#$%plcy#$%plcy#$%w_m_plcy_fncl_tran#$%a/r#$%'
However, in PB 12.6, only the first portion of the expression is processed. There is no error returned from the Modify function, and the column is created, but the expression is only evaluating one part of the expression. In this partiular case, it results in
'plcy'
I just noticed that this isn't the *first* item in the set of concatenated columns and string literals, which is interesting. In any case, when the computed key values are not correct, the whole method PFC is using to populate and run the treeview falls apart, and you get all children under each parent, and selections on the treeview object do not work properly because the key column values are not unique.
I can copy the expression value from a debugging session, and use that to create a computed column at design time, pasting the expression in, and naming it the same as the created column (pfv_tvi_key), and this then allows the treeview to work properly. However, this is a very cumbersome and problematic workaround. The application has a lot of treeviews, with a very large number of datawindows operating as all the different types of items on different levels of different trees. I don't think it's a practical workaround, and future maintenance would be very difficult.
bu the workaround still demonstrates it is not an issue with the syntax of the compute expression, just an issue with the way it is handled by PowerBuilder when a column is created at run time,vs. at design time.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I would think there are a fair number of older apps still around that are using PFC treeviews.
My next step will be to install PB 12.6 build 4011 and cross my fingers. Other than that, perhaps try 12.5?Updating the PFC layers has started to lead down a rabbit hole of hundreds and hundreds of errors.
Granted, many of these are probably rooted in a few ancestor issues.
But I'm not sure this will lead to a solution.
The problem lies in using a modify statement to create a computed column at run time containing an expression with multiple concatenated values.
If I look at the pfc_u_tv.of_createkey function from the newer PFC version, I see the same code there:
ls_rc = ads_obj.Modify("create compute(band=detail x='0' y='0' " + &
"height='0' width='0' name=pfc_tvi_key " + ls_Exp + ")")
And the same code above it which creates the expression used in the modify.
So after doing all the patching for the new PFC version, I somehow suspect I'll still be facing the same datastore.modify problem.
Not to say that isn't a good thing to do, just not sure it addresses the root of the problem. -

Thanks a lot,
SrujanHi, i have the same type of error when testing configuration, but it seems that the mapping even doesn't start :
i'm creating an EBP to XCBL scenario, so it's a RFC->XI->XCBL 3.5
Here is the Java exception

Is it possible to modify a view at run time?
Hi,
I am relatively new to using SQL Server, so sorry if this is impossible or very easy and I missed the solution.
I am working on an enterprise SQL Server 2008 R2. Because of the size of the company, we do not want to create new Views as they need to be maintained. With that said, I need to use Views and not tables because of DB traffic issues.
HERE IS MY QUESTION:
Is it possible to Alter a view at run time; in this specific instance I want to change a constraint in the WHERE clause to include one more value in an IN() constraint. Specifically I want the modified SQL to go from WHERE column IN('A', 'B', 'C')
to
WHERE column IN('A', 'B', 'C', 'L'). I do not want to permanently modify the View, I just want the View to change when it is run for this report. I need to do this in order to fix a dynamic report. I am sure that there is another way to
accomplish this; however, a solution of this manner would also have many other uses, so I am curious if this is possible.
Feel free to tell me that it can be done.
Thanks for your ideas!!Right, I understand those fundamentals. We outsource a lot of out view creation and do not have permission to create views for Business reasons; these are beyond my control. However, I can see the source code to many Views. We have also
been told that we should not use tables in our queries. Therefore, I need to use existing Views. Specifically, I would like to add an additional value to an IN() constraint. This would change the constraint as showed below:
IN('A', 'B', 'C') ---> IN('A',
'B', 'C', 'L')
I am wondering if this change can be made when the view runs and only for this one report, with the change being made from the report. This would be very easy if the constraint was removing a value. Obviously I could change the constraint from
IN('A', 'B', 'C') to IN('A','B') very easily with out modifying the View. This would be done by writing a query against the view and in the WHERE clause adding the new IN('A', 'B') statement. However, I want to do the opposite and add a value... -
How to create a variant to a report from another program at run time
Hi experts,
when i am using FM : /OSP/REPORT_CREATE_VARIANT to create a report variant from a program then i am getting an error 'For object /OSP/ERPNR , number range interval 01 does not exist ', how should i avoid it or can any one help me out to create a report variant from another program at run time with the results of the program.so that i can execute the report from here with this variantIf i understand you,
- You can use a FM like [RS_CREATE_VARIANT|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=rs_create_variant+&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue] to create a variant and then use it in the [SUBMIT|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/fa/096d67543b11d1898e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm] statement USING SELECTION-SET.
- But you may also use SUBMIT with WITH parameters which doesnt require variant creation and with much less programming efforts.
- You can mix the two solutions also.
So what is you actual requirement, also look at some documentation like [ Scheduling a Job: Full-Control Method|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/fa/096ce5543b11d1898e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm]

Loading an "MXML Component" at run-time creates a null object.
Hello!
I have a simple Flex 3 project with an MXML application file (the parent) and an MXML component file (the child).
At run-time I create childs of this component, and I add it to the stage using a simple "this.addChild()" call.
Now, besides that, in the creation loop, after every
newChild = new mcComp();
I want to setup a few more custom parameters which belongs to this class. For example, now I want to set a label's text, this label is at the child.
The issue is that the label isn't created until I exit the creation function, and actually, until my code returns control to the Flash Player.
See my problem here?
With custom classes which resides at .AS files, when I instantiate them with the "new" operator, they run their constructure's code and eveything is fine.
But, when I do the same with those MXML components (which by the way are based over the Canvas class), their constructure do not execute and actually no other child of them is created.
Can anyone please advise? I must be missing some keyword here.. hopefully.Hi Natasha thanks,
The issue is that the creationComplete event doesn't dispatch even when I addChild() the object.
var child:mcChild = null;
for(var i:int; i < 3; i++)
child = new mcChild();
// setting some properties, labels' text etc'
this.addChild(child);
Try this and you'll see - the event doesn't dispatch until you got out of the code flow.
Anyway after looking at Flex's documentation I solved it differently;
After the addChild() call the child receives an "initialize" event. After that I could modify my label.
Thank you though! -
Run time Error while Creating Expense request
Dear Friends ,
In E-Payment ( Expense Claim ) creation , While clicking on Enter Receipts application is going to run time error for only one user.
Run time Error Info :
Runtime Errors OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED
Exception CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
Short text
Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CP" had to be
terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
caught in
procedure "PRESET" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
access a component (variable: "LR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT").
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
CLEAR statement.
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED" "CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL"
"CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CP" or "CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CM002"
"PRESET"
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CP" -
in "PRESET".
The main program was "SAPMHTTP ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 60
of the (Include) program "CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CM002".
The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL" occurred in
procedure "PRESET" "(METHOD)", but it was neither handled locally nor declared
in the RAISING clause of its signature.
The procedure is in program "CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CP "; its source
code begins in line
1 of the (Include program "CL_WDR_P13N_UTILITIES=========CM002 ".
Regards,
Suresh .Hi Agrawal
As you are getting run-time error after entering the sold to party and material and the error is in SAPLV61Z ,
close the session for sometime and open again and then create sales order and then enter sold to party and material and then check wheather you are getting or not. If you are still facing the problem then take the help of the ABAP & BASIS consultant's.
