Running an iMac G5 with Mail 3.6 and program times out before receiving mail

Greetings...follow up to above question. I run a Netgear wireless USB adapter. When trying to run my Mac Mail program it starts running fine but as I watch the KB/s speed incoming mail is receives slowly declines until it reaches ZERO.
Checked and and double checked and triple checked settings. Removed email accounts and then re-did them.

Does the USB adapter work for regular browsing since going to the NetGear adaptor? All USB wireless adaptors require Mac drivers and some makes do not offer them. I believe aht NetGear does but you may have to get it from their website.
If all your wireless functions have worked with this adaptor in the past, then consider asking in the Mail section of the Mac OS 10.5 forums. For some reason, every Mail forum has needed up being a sub-set of the OS forum. The Leopard 10.5. forum is here:

I am using a MacBook Pro (2010) with 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB, 1067 MHz, DDR3, Startvolume Macintosh HD.
After downloading the package and starting upgrading it asks acceptance of the license-agreement. After that it asks for the volume were to install. And when I click on the Startvolume Macintosh HD (which is the only available on the machine) it says: "The volume is already being used for Time Machine-Backups".
It doesn´t offer to skip that point or to reconfigure the Time Machine settings.
The point is that my Time machine is not and has never used the Mac HD for Backups. In the past I have used an external drive and since 05/2014 I am using a Time Capsule which is appropriately addressed in the Time Machine settings.

Your post is pretty lengthy and I have to admit I didn't read it all. Please try restarting in Safe Mode, if that doesn't work please do both a SMC and PRAM reset. These may take 2-3 attempts.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

It sounds like it's gone into recovery mode. How were you trying to update it, directly on it of via your computer's iTunes ? If directly on it then have you tried conencting it to your computer's iTunes ?

That is another problem not related to the Mac OS X version you are trying to use.
Three beeps at startup means you have a bad ram module in the computer. Did you install the ram or did it come from another owner this way? The first problem you need to solve is the bad ram.
When the iMac starts, go to the apple left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Memory and see what the report is on the memory...does the iMac report all memory modules that have been installed as OK or does it show bad memory? If there is not any information, you then need to remove the memory modules and restart one at a time to see which is bad.
On the bottom of the screen there should be a small door that you can remove with a small screw driver. You need to lay the iMac flat, disconnect the power cord, remove that small door and remove the memory modules. You can then put two in (if it has four) and see if it starts without the beeps. Do that with each module so you find out which is bad. Once you know the bad memory, you can buy a new module, just like the ones installed, so the iMac starts without the beeps.
Next, you cannot use a DVD for another computer for your iMac unless it is from one that is identical to yours. So, you need to talk to Apple and have them send the DVD for your particular iMac.

You wrote with different execution plan, I think, you saw plans. It is very difficult, you get old plan.
I think Execution plans is not changed in different days, if you not added index or ...
What say ADDM report about this script?
As you know, It is normally, different Elapsed Time for same statement in different day.
It is depend your database workload.
It think you must use SQL Access and SQl Tuning advisor for this script.
You can get solution for slow running problem.

What web browser are you using?
What type of connection do you have to your isp? phone line, dsl, cable, fios...

My guess would be it has created an entirely new backup of your drive when you upgraded to Mavericks.

You could try doing a hard shut down (holding the power button or yanking the battery) and then doing a safe boot by holding the shift key at startup:

Also, not sure if this applies in your case, but I've had that happen when there's a USB drive inserted either in the computer or a connected external keyboard. I did a hard shut down, removed the drive and it went through a normal start up.

Canon support told me that the I-pad printer driver would not work with any printer, including HP. They offered to fix the problem for $50. I turned them down.
If they really could fix the problem, they must be saying to update the printers firmware. Look on the cannon website & update the priners firmware. While you at it, update the routers firmware.

I have a user who when she logs into her workstation and tries to access her outlook folders she is denied access. If she removes and then adds them back they work. Only one other person on our network had this problem which I initially thought was connectivity
related. I replaced their cat five cable and that seemed to solve their problem. I tried this with this user and it cleared up for about a week but happened again today. Any thoughts or experience with this. Outlook doesnt support archives in a network share
so I cant turn to them. It uses a login batch script to load mapped drives according to department. This all predates me so I did not build them. However, we've had issues with other legacy systems and programs so it is highly possible that this could be an

I use Firefox and it is now No. 1 on my choice of browsers. I agree it doesn't like the "for IE only" coded sites but then IE is now a non issue as it is dead in the water! Give it a few spins around the block and I'm sure you will agree. As for the sites it declines to accept because of bad code, then I would suggest a strong letter of protest to the webmaster! For too long IE has been flouting the rules and trying to be the only game in town. Take some affirmative action and let the webmasters know there are other browsers available to users. Sorry, unless she backup up the new phone before or is using iCloud to save the photos, the photos are gone.

What iPod model does she own? If it's a Nano, simply connect it to iTunes and restore it.
If it's an iPod touch, you will need to connect to iTunes in Recovery Mode and restore it using the instructions in this Apple support document.
