We are running the latest Labview 2010 on new computers (Windows 7) but have the older/oldest NI ELVIS hardware (NI ELVIS I?).
Labview works great and the device drivers are installed.
Which NI ELVIS software do we install?
The latest version states that it is for the ELVIS II and III hardware,

Hello,
The ELVIS software installed fine and the ELVISmx Instrument Launcher runs fine.
However, when I try to run an instrument, we get the following error (See Attachment):
Error -200220 occurred at ALVISmx_DAQmx
Create Channel (AI-Voltage-basic).vic4
It seems that the software can't find the DAQ card which is directly hooked up to the ELVIS unit via a cable
We aren't using USB.
I noticed that the newer ELVIS units use USB only.
Is there a setup to make it recognize the card? There used run with the older ELVIS software when you clicked on Continue in the error box.
The PCI-6251 card checks out fine with MAX.

I am having trouble transfering any media from my windows 7 pc to my iPad 3. Currently using the latest version of iTunes n my windows pc but still the media won't appear on my devicewhen being transferred..

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I tried to install the latest version of iTunes on my Windows PC, but the installation failed and I have the error message "Runtime Error R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly." When I then tried to run iTunes (assuming that, since the new install failed, my older version was still OK) I got the message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 1114". I tried then uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it fresh, but encountered the same problems. Help!

In Firefox 4, the context menu "open in new tab / open in new window" options are in reverse order compared to 3.6. Can this be "fixed," i.e. change the menu item order? I use this feature constantly and it's a matter of habit, also still use some 3.6 machines.

I have the latest version of iPhoto and somehow I have lost the ability to use the Apple iPhoto templates for emailing photos. I select my photos, go to Share, go to email, and the templates used to pop up. Now the photos go directly to email. Does anyone know how I can get the templates back?
I encountered the same issue after an upgrade of iPhoto, and it was resolved by clicking on the "iPhoto" button on the menu on the top left of your screen, then "preferences", and in the very first window (General), select the very last pull-down menu "email photos using".
There, you can select various email providers, aol (if set-up), Microsoft outlook, etc... and of course, iPhoto (which should be the very first choice on the pull-down menu).
Select iPhoto, and you will immediately be able to use the templates and make cool cards when emailing your photos from iPhoto.

haven't you have problems trying to upgrade to iOS 4.3.5? I installed MAC OS 10.7 and now I'm receiving a message saying that I don't have the rights, however I can sync it without any problems.
Sorry to be so late getting back to you. My furnace died and I was a week without heat. Everything's ok now.
I was able to grab an old firefox from an external drive (thank God for backups!) and I used that along with the link that you sent me for older versions and I was able to download the version before the current update.

when i am using firefox if i click on a link that opens a new tab the new page wont scroll or scrolls very slowly. this has never happened before and i have had many many tabs open at once without any problem, now if i have just two the second one gives me these problems while the first one continues to work fine.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. I just installed the latest version of iTunes on my windows 8 computer. I was trying to transfer an audiobook I downloaded through overdrive media console to my iPod nano. Overdrive says it was transferred successfully, but it is not in my iPod. I have had no problems transferring audiobooks until I downloaded this new version. Help!
I just realized that part of my post got cut off. There was a message that i could not connect to the Apple store (and my genius stopped running).

I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually several times. No luck. Consequently I have no player.
Any ideas for a fix?Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

beginner in LV and still not comfortable with data flow that much. I prefer
events, so I would change this to use Event Structures.
When you click on OK button on SliderMain, it opens Slider.vi. Now both
windows are open and you can interact with both. Now if you click on OK
again with Slider.vi open, you run into problems. Only thing I did was
change VI properties of slider.vi, mainly window appearance.
