RWB-Message Monitoring and End-to-End Monitoring

hi
Can someone explain the differences between Message Monitoring & End-to-End Monitoring through RWB. I see both of them displaying the messages status with better descriptive with End-to-End Monitoring.

HI Chandra
You use message monitoring in the following cases:
1 To track the status of messages
2 To find errors that have occurred and establish what caused them
Check this help for further info:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2f/4e313f8815d036e10000000a114084/content.htm
You use end-to-end monitoring in the following cases:
1 If you want to monitor message processing steps in a number of SAP components (to be configured).
2 If you want to monitor the path of individual messages through these SAP components, from start to end.
Check this help for further info:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/82/9e8dfe9eadbd4b9194c433e646b84e/content.htm
End-to-end monitoring includes message monitoring, adapter monitoring, BPE if BPM is involved.. so end-to-end monitoring tells you complete description of your scenario......but message monitoring is concerned only with source message coming to target message successfully generated.
Cheers..

  • Connet a thunderbolt monitor and min display port monitor to a mac mini

I have a new late 2012 Mac Mini.  I also have an exisiting Apple mini display monitor and just got a new Apple thunderbolt monitor.  How do I get these both to work with this Mac Mini so I can have dual monitors?  I read something about an external thunderbolt drive.  How would that work and what product should I buy that has all the ports on the back?  Thank you for the help.

Unfortunately a Mini Displaport monitor will not work when connected via a Thunderbolt display. Nor will a Thunderbolt display work via a Mini Displayport monitor.
    See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5219
You could use a DVI or HDMI monitor in addition to the Thunderbolt display, or you could use two Thunderbolt displays. You could sell your old monitor and buy another new one.

  • T430 support P2815q 4k Monitor, and another Sub HD monitor

    Hey All,
I am looking to get a P2815q for work.  need the extra work space for productivity.  What I am concerned about is whether or not the laptop will be able to drive that monitor, plus the existing 1680x1050 monitor I currently have.  I tried to check Intel website for HD 4k max resolution, however, they report that max resolution is dependant upon individual laptop design.  Tried to look up on Lenovo site, and max specified is 2560x1600, which coincidentaly is the most common high resolution monitor resolution.  I suspect this is not a hard limitation.
If anyone knows, and can help me out that would be great.
    Thanks Much
    Mikel.

    Bump.
Exactly same monitor but for the T440s.  Lenovo specifies the same limitation of 2560x1600.  I could order from Dell and try, but it's not like I have tons of free time on my hands to return the monitor if it doesn't work.
    Thanks,

  • What is a Aggregate rollup monitor and a Dependancy rollup monitor

    Hi All,
Can any one explain in simple what is a Aggregate rollup monitor and a Dependency roll up monitor in SCOM ?

Aggregate rollup - Sums up all the monitors below it in some way. (you can report the status as best health
state of any member or % of members in warning/error ie 50% so if there are 4 members below it 2 of them have to be in error for the parent monitor to be error)
Dependency - The health is this depends on that status of everything below it.
    Cheers,
    Martin

  • TV Apple TV MacBook Air:How to connect my computer's monitor and TV as multiple monitors (NOT mirroring)

I have an insignia TV, an apple TV I just bought less than a month ago, and a Macbook Air (mountain Lion) and a MacBook pro (mountain lion).
I am able to connectboth of my computers with the TV to mirror my screen/monitor, but I have not been able to figure out how to use the apple TV to use my TV as a second monitor, like I was able to do with my HDMI cable.
when I bought the Apple TV the person who I talked to at the store told me I would be able to do it, but I havent been able to do it through system preferences and the options for display only show as mirroring through Airplay. I dislike mirroring because while I play something on my computer (or somebody else does) I'd like to still be able to use my computer for browsing or doing homework.
Please help me find a way in which I can make my TV as a second monitor tu my computer without having to have an HDMI cord across the room. I have a puppy and I have had problems with that. That is actually the reason why I considered buying the Apple TV device.
NOTE: In case you know a way to connect my TV to my Macs I have a time capsule and my TV has a DVI, two HDMI, and a USB ports.
    thank you!

  • Assistance needed with new monitor and printing from LR3

I just purchased a new IPS monitor.  I have calibrated it using the HP Display assistant that came with it.  It is an HP ZR 22w.  I saved my calibration as a preset  - however - this is not appearing as a profile when I try to select it in the print module.  the checkbox for "include display profiles" is ticked.  If I allow the printer to manage - the pictures are much warmer than on the IPS display.  My printer is a canon mg6120 and I am running windows 7.  I would appreciate any assistance that anyone can provide.  Thank you

I think the "HP Display assistant" is a software tool, is that right?
Ideally with Lightroom, you should use a hardware calibration/profiling tool (Spyder, Eye One, Color Munki etc).  In particular, you need a monitor profile that contains colour space information.  I had a look through the HP Display Assistant user manual, and it appears the software does calibration but it probably doesn't put colour space info in the profile.  It'll be better than nothing, but a hardware tool is better.
    However:
I saved my calibration as a preset  - however - this is not appearing as a profile when I try to select it in the print module.  the checkbox for "include display profiles" is ticked.  If I allow the printer to manage - the pictures are much warmer than on the IPS display.  My printer is a canon mg6120 and I am running windows 7
This is not what you want to do!  The profile that the HP Display Assistant creates is for the monitor, and only for the monitor.  It gets the right white point and tone curve for the monitor.  What you need in the profile drop-down in LR print module is a printer profile, not a monitor profile (except on very special circumstances).
I'm not familiar with the MG6120, but when I googled "profiles for canon mg6120" I got a lot of hits, so I assume profiles are available.  It's quite likely that some came with the printer driver, and were installed with the printer software.  When you select "profile" in LR print module (you may well have to go to "Other..." to see them all) then there should be profiles for the printer - possible lots of them - one or more for each paper type.  If they're not there, see the Canon documentation (or google it) to find out how to load them.
If you can't find any profiles for the printer, then try using sRGB (or probably it's "sRGB IEC...").  Without colour management, your printer will probably expect sRGB images, so this should be roughly right, but a specific profile for the printer is better.  This is one of those very special circumstances when something other than a printer profile (and sRGB isn't a printer profile) may be better than nothing.

  • How to use two external monitors and Tecra M5

    Hi ,
I've been used to work with two 17" monitors connected to a computer in extended desktop monitor view, ii've just changed Job and now i have the following setup:
a Toshiba Laptop connected to Toshiba Tecra M5 dockstation and one external 17" monitor connected to dockstation digital port that works fine.
I also have connected another external 17" monitor to the Dockstation RGB port but keeps black
I'ts really awful to work like this switching between the 17" monitor and the small toshiba laptop monitor.
What i'd like is to work with the two external 17" monitor, and keep the laptop monitor off, or if possible on.
    Any ideas???
Any help will be very wellcome
    Mari PAz

I have an M11-17V, and the docking station that came with it has 2 monitor outputs, analogue and DVI. I wondered what it would do if I connected a monitor to both. Windows recognised that it was faced with 3 screens (including the built-in one) and asked me to choose which 2 of the 3 I wanted it to use.
I was disappointed it would not allow me to use all of them TBH, but if your docking station is the same, it might answer your question.

  • DUAL MONITOR BUG: One Picture – One Monitor – Different Colors!

There have been several threads discussing that Photoshop CS4 and OS 10.6. show wrong colors in dual monitor setups.
The first one to prove this with a screen capture was jb510-LJ0JJQ in August 2009: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2207312#2207312
Eight months and three OS updates later the problem is still there and makes professional work with more than one monitor a nuisance.
Here's another actual example: A picture and its 100% identical copy showing different colors on one screen!
Here's how to repeat it – try this at home ;-)
    1) In the finder make a copy of a rgb picture.
    2) Open one of the two identical pics in photoshop.
    3) Drag it to the other monitor.
When releasing the mouse button you may see the bug already: the colors will "switch".
    4) To verify this go to system presets - monitors - and change the primary monitor (by dragging the menu bar to the other)
    5) Now open the identical copy you made in step 1) and see the difference!
Here's a synopsis of suggested workarounds:
    1) disable open GL (which seem to makes no difference on my setup)
    2) click "desaturate monitor colors" but set desaturation to 0 (which prevents visual switching in step 3) (only if openGL is ON) but also leads to a wrong display in step 4+5
    3) make the hardware calibrated monitor your default monitor and strictly avoid changes or dragging pics to the other monitor (which seems to be the only reliable method)
    4) some guys even force both monitors to use the profile of their hardware-calibrated monitor (using color sync) to make sure they see what they should see on at least that one monitor. What a stone-age workaround for the the world's leading imaging program!
Considering that reliable colors in professional (=multi monitor) settings should be the most basic function of photoshop this mayor malfunction should be solved with CS5! Otherwise we might have to live with it for some more years...
Have Adobe and Apple realized this bug and on their agenda? Will it be gone with OS 10.6.3? Can anyone explain the reasons for this bad bug? Is there a "officially" recommended workaround?
    Thanks, regards,
    Eric

There have been several threads dealing with this malfunction. But most faded out in silence or acceptance of the workarounds.

But man, this is no minor bug! Consistent colors are the by far most important basic function of photoshop. If you cannot rely on the colors in photoshop you can as well use "Preview" and "Word" for print production ;-)
Carson, how did Apple react to your complaint? What do you mean with "they don't get it". Do they not see it? Or can't they get it right?
Shall we open a thread at apple forums to point out that it's not the problem of a single user?

  • Difference between Message monitoring and end tot end monitoring.

    Hi,
What exactly is the difference between message monitoring and end to end monitoring?
I read that message monitoring is used  by end to end monitoring. Then why do we have two separate monitoring options?
    Thanks

    End-to-End Monitoring
You use end-to-end monitoring in the following cases:

  • A document page opens that is too big for the display and runs off the end of the monitor

How do you fix a problem where document pages open that are too big for the display and runs off the end of the monitor? The borders are off the monitor so there is no window edge to grab and adjust.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • ** End-to-End Monitoring - RFC destination error while save config in RWB

    Hi Friends,
We have 2 RFC destinations in our XI server. 1) PMI<client>001 2) PMI<client><client>800. First one is for XI server. Next one is for Sender/Receiver System.
We want to activate End-to-End Monitoring in RWB. For this, when I save configuration, it throws the following error.
Incorrect RFC Destinations: When the configuration is saved, an RFC destination is created on the monitoring server for each XI component to enable end-to-end monitoring of the respective XI component. However, the test call failed for the destinations listed. Therefore, you must check the call and the authorization on the monitoring server for the destinations concerned, by using transaction SM59. Also check whether RFC user used for the destination is maintained in the relevant XI component. Note that a component can only be monitored when its RFC destination is maintained correctly.
I have checked the user in the above destinations. For the first destination, we have assigned PIRWBUSER of XI system. Test Connection is OK, but unable to login remote. At the same time, PIRWBUSER is not locked.
For the second destination, I have assigned some login user of sender/receiver system. Test connection is OK. Able to login remotely.
There is no RFC user in our XI system. (I tried using RFCUSER* thru SU01 tcode).
There is no PIRWBUSER in the Sender/Receiver System.
In RWB, Configuration, 3 components are there. 1) XIIntegrationServer 2) Business System (for Sender/Receiver System) 3) XI Adapter Framework. I selected last two. (First one is already selected). Monitoring Level : Medium (for all 3). Send and Receive Check box is selcted for the last two.
So, what could be the problem for the above error?
    Could you kindly clarifiy friends.
    Thanking you
    Kind Regards,
    Jeg P.

    Hi friends,
I have one RFC Destination PMI<sysid>001. (Abap Connction) in my XI system. This destination is for  XI server. Connection Test is OK. Remote Logon by using the PIRWBUSER is also ok.
In the 'Configuration' tab of the Runtime Workbench, when we select 'Save Configuration', (Business System and Adapter Framework is not activated) with the default activation for XI Integration Server, the system throws the following error.
When we save configuration, an one more destination is automatically created in the name as below.
    PMI<sysid>001<yyyymmdd>. For Example, PMIPID00120080207.
When we test  newly created RFC destination, connection is OK, but not able to remot login using the same user PIRWBUSER.
The difference between old and new RFC destination, in old, we have selected Load Balancing is 'Yes', but in the new it is 'No'. The system also tells the error below.
Name or Password is incorrect (repeat logon) - PMIPID00120080207
But, still remote login is possible in the old RFC destination using the PIRWBUSER.
So, What could be the problem ...?
    Kindly reply, friends.

  • Multiple XI installation and End To End Monitoring

    Hi all
Just wondering how far end to end monitoring goes when we have separate XI installations (no local adapter engines, butfull installations).
Is End to End monitoring capable of monitoring the entire message path when multiple XI's are in that path, or does the monitoring path end when it reaches the next XI and does end to end monitoring then continue from that next XI?
    Thanks
