S7 Event Log Error...SYNCERR_FILE_NOT_OPEN

I keep getting an error after hotsync that reads:
Failed to backup 1 file
-S7 Event Log
--Protocol Error: Handheld file could not be opened (4004)
---SYNCERR_FILE_NOT_OPEN
I was instructed by Palm Chat help to download the Fix PM Trace file onto my palm and told that would fix my issue. Unfortunatley it has not, the same error still exists. I have looked at others who have posted about an S7 Event Log error, and all instruction states is to download FileZ, which I have already on my Palm and to uncheck in Attributes the box that says backup. I go into FileZ,click on Internal, click on S7 Event Log, click on attrs, uncheck the backup box, click save, and then I get another error which states: Error: dm: Cant Open in updateFile() i (S7 Event Log), and then the only option I am given is to hit ok. Are there any other options that I am able to try regarding this error?

I see that almost 1000 people have viewed this person's posting, but there are no solutions listed! Obviously, a lot of us are having this annoying problem. Help!

Donna, I wouldn't worry that Rasman (the Remote Access Connection Manager service) takes 17 seconds to shut down. And certainly the 0.095 seconds taken by the Usbehci.sys driver is inconsequential.
My Event Viewer is filled with stuff like this. Most users don't know to look here. Best to ignore it.
Pay more attention to what's in the Application and System logs under Windows Logs.
Hope I sent the right info this time.
In the future, leave out the stuff beginning with the line..

  • 1100 Event Log Errors After Upgrade

We've upgraded some Cisco Aironet 1100 access points to Firmware Version 12.3(8)JA2. Since the upgrade we've seen several connectivity problems with Dell Axims get cleared up however the event log for each of the access points shows this error message every three seconds: "System running-config write error; configuration failed" and this critical message every thirty seconds: "Memory allocation of 900000 bytes failed from 0x22DD2C, alignment 0".
The access points appear to be working well, however, the fact that we're getting these kinds of error must mean something is going on in the devices.
I can't find any information in the documentation about this...does anyone have any ideas what these messages are telling us?
    Thanks!
    ==Danny

Oddly enough, this is the most stable AP we have! A PDA can connect to it and stay connnected, whereas our other 1100s (which have not been upgraded and generate the same error messages but only once or twice a day)will permit a device to connect then boot it off after a few seconds to several minutes. We thought the upgrade would make the AP connections more stable but were surprised to see the error messages being generated so rapidly.

  • Event log errors after upgrading Aironet 1100

We have upgraded an Aironet 1100 to 12.3(8)JA. We used TFTP for the upgrade and everything seems to be working properly.
However, the event log shows the following message every four seconds: "System running-config write error; configuration failed" This has Error as the severity.
Every thirty minutes another, Critical error is logged "Memory allocation of 900000 bytes failed from 0x22DC78, alignment 0"
I've searched the site and can't seem to locate applicable information on these errors and what they mean. Can someone help?
    Thanks!

  • NT Event Log Error

We are getting the following error in our NT event logs on a regular
basis - and at the same time as some other problems we are having. What
does this mean, and is there a fix for it??

  • Unconfigured VG Ports Show Event Log Errors

Unconfigured ports on a VG224 or VG248 show up in the Callmanager's Event Log as Stop Errors. Any way to suppress or filter these? I have roughly a hundred voice gateways with countless unassigned ports. It makes the Event log unusable to viewing other status.

Telnet to the VG248 and disable the port. If you leave them enabled, with no DIDs on them, or unregistered, they will sit there and peg your CCM constantly wanting to register. I just found that out.
Enable the next open port on the VG248?s. If possible, fill up on VG248, move to the next one.
    To enable a port:
    i. Telnet to VG248
    ii. Login
    iii. Configure
iv. Login with the #CCM pw
    v. Scroll to Telephony then Port Specific Parameters, then select ?enabled port? to disable it
vi. Change your status from Disable to Enable (hit enter for menu to select Enable)
vii. Esc out until it exits the logout menu.

  • Multiple event log errors with Indesign.exe

A colleague is having some issues with CS3 and certain programs keep crashing and she has to keep restarting. I've not been given any further info at this stage so  I decided to delve into her event logs. Doing so uncovered a number of different InDesign errors, not of which seem to turn up especially relevent or helpful information when researched using Google.
Faulting application InDesign.exe, version 6.0.0.352, time stamp 0x48bf8dab, faulting module GRAPHICS.RPLN, version 6.0.0.352, time stamp 0x48bf96f6, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0003d27f, process id 0x1468, application start time 0x01cb064fddc3e01a.
which has occured 7 times within the last hour or so. And
Faulting application InDesign.exe, version 6.0.0.352, time stamp 0x48bf8dab, faulting module TEXT EDITOR.RPLN, version 6.0.0.352, time stamp 0x48bfaeb3, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0001c187, process id 0x968, application start time 0x01cb063042d7b346.
Dreamweaver, so different, but earlier in the week:
Faulting application Dreamweaver.exe, version 10.0.0.4117, time stamp 0x48c874b4, faulting module MSVCR80.dll, version 8.0.50727.3053, time stamp 0x4889d619, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00015500, process id 0xae8, application start time 0x01cb0328d57ca5c2.
    Last week:
Faulting application InDesign.exe, version 6.0.0.352, time stamp 0x48bf8dab, faulting module Public.dll, version 6.0.0.352, time stamp 0x48bf8c2d, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0002fd16, process id 0x1564, application start time 0x01cb0164aa056a40.
Not sure if these are connected to her Creative Suite applications crashing, but they certainly don't look overly encouraging. She's running CS4 Design Standard, on a Dell XPS 420 with 3GB RAM and 32bit Vista Business OS.
Any help appreciated as she's had to restart 3 or 4 times today, loosing work each time.
    Thanks!

Peter, that's a good point, I'll get her to run an update. In the past we have been sceptical of updates since this seemed to cause more problems when the software was running fine, but I guess we have little choice here. Fingers crossed!
@VectorIsBetter09 that's an interesting point. We do have somebody running Windows 7 64bit with the same applications installed (fresh install of CS4 rather than an upgrade to it from CS3) and I believe that's not had any issues. However, it does seem odd that the PC has been running with this software for well over a year/18 months with very few problems.

  • CSA 6.0 event log error - Operation Failed

    CSA 6.0.0.209, Windows 2003 server

You are possibly encountering bug CSCtg78612.  This occurs when the CSA MC is updated from an earlier version of 6.0 to 6.0.2 and managed agents have not yet been upgraded.  You should be able to address the issue by scheduling agent upgrades for the affected hosts.
You can view the full bug details here:

  • Jrun default event log errors

Does anyone see any familiar issues by just looking at this
default-event.log from the Jrun server? We are running CFMX6.1
    updater.
    Thanks for your suggestions
    Emmanuel

    You can review this
    thread.
It tells you what is probably going on. However, a simpler method
(then the one Sean mentions) to fix the issue is to simply scope
your variables. Ideally all variables are initialized before they
are called or you use cfparam to initalize them. But you should
always scope the variables, even if they are in the variables scope
so CF does not go searching thru all the scopes (including CGI) as
Sean discusses. So the tops of your pages should be full of:
    <cfparam name="variables.foo" type="string"> etc.
This is especially critical on pages that initialize many
variables as with fusebox and other frameworks. If you have dozens
of unscoped cfparam tags on a single page, that page goes
scrambling to find each variable in all the scopes normally
searched. The CGI scope is maintained by the webserver, so CF must
query it. Scope your variables including those in the variables
    scope, whenever possible.

and I can't find any information which describe such types of error.
    thanks!

Thanks Srini, but the instructions have two options:
    1. Use the Control Panel, select "Oracle 11g..." and uninstall from there.
This is of course the first thing I tried, but as I said, there is no entry for Oracle 11g in my "Programs and Features" applet.
    2. Download the install package and run OracleXE.exe with the remove iss file.
    Firstly, there is no OracleXE.exe in the package I downloaded, just setup.exe;
Secondly, setup.exe ignores the iss parameter and tells me that OracleXE is already installed (setup.log contains ResultCode=-3) so it can't be installed.
Is there somewhere else to get an OracleXE.exe that will work for 11g? Or are these the instructions for 10g and haven't been updated yet?
Am I unusual in not having a Control Panel entry?
(and I understand this is a beta - that's partly why I'd like to uninstall it - I'll go back to 10g and not be so impatient :))
    Regards,
    Andrew

    Hello,
It is a different user name. There is only one connection to the concentrator, and it is me, and I am using PPTP. This user that is failing is a HW client which is a GROUP, using a group name and user name that are different than me. When I set

I am using INTERNAL authentication. PPTP users do not have a problem, I think this is an IPSec issue of some kind.

    Hi
I have 2 RDS servers with Office 2013 installed. I seem to be getting allot of Event 0, MSOIDSVC.EXE events

The following information was included with the event:

    AppFabricCachingService UP             3 [3,3][1,3]
    AppFabricCachingService UP             3 [3,3][1,3]
What's going on - and how do I resolve this error?

    Hi JmATK,
Generally, this error will come up if the WFE is being frequently restarted, where the AppFabric Caching Service is likewise restarted which will cause the cache region to be rebuilt. Following, no LMT region is present, and this error will present itself.
The only reason that an LMT region wouldn’t be present would be if relevant timer jobs are not configured correctly.
As the timer job will run every 5 minutes, you will see this error if it is misconfigured every 5 minutes.
So please make sure that the timer job User Profile Service Application - Feed Cache Repopulation Job timer job is configured correctly.

  • Event Log Error: Microsoft.ResourceManagement: System.Data: System.InvalidOperationException: The requested operation cannot be completed because the connection has been broken. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnectionTds.ExecuteTransaction

Has anyone ever seen this? Any Clues?

I had set up a clean environment some weeks ago, and just today I started configuring MA's. When I got to the FIM MA I wanted to do an import, sync and export, and when I got to the export it seemed to run endless. In the eventlog I got the same errors as
    you did.
Didn't find any real hints in SQL or in the FIM requests history... After doing a good old reboot it just started working...
