Safari 6.2 launches with Top Sites instead of my Home Page.

I just upgraded my OSX from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5 and updated to Safari 6.2. Now when I launch Safari, Top Sites appears. I would rather have Safari launch and open my Home Page. Is this possible?

Choose Preferences from the Safari menu, choose the General tab, and change what new windows and tabs open with.

Safari won't open with Top Sites Anymore.

I have gone to Safari Settings Preferences and changed what Safari opens with. I change the home page to see if that would work but when I restart, it goes back to opening with Apple Page and all the settings I changed revert to what they were. How can I get safari to open with top sites again?

1. Go to: Safari > Preferences > General and set New tabs open with: Top Sites
2. Go to: Safari > View and select Show Tab Bar

4.0.1 will not load home pages instead loads last view pages even with it set for showing only home page.

I have set under tools, options, general tab for showing my home page but when I restart firefox it loads the last viewed sites instead of the home page.

Safari will not open with top sights.

I like Safari to launch with top sights. No matter what I do in preferences, Safari 5.1 always opens with the last page I visited. This is usually a search I no longer need. The only time Safari launches with top sights is if I close all windows before exiting Safari. How can I get Safari 5.1 to launch with top sights?

Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re opening apps

It is possible that there is a problem with the files [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

Certain websites are giving me computer language instead of their home pages

if I go to certain websites like people.com or usmagazine.com, I get a page full of computer language language instead of their home page. I have tried re-installing Firefox, but that didn't help.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

How can I stop Firefox 22 restoring my tabs from previous session instead of my home page?

I updated to Firefox 22 today and since then Firefox opens in the tabs from the previous session instead of my home page. This occurs no matter how I close Firefox. I am aware that this has happened in previous versions of Firefox(e.g. Firefox 20) and that a solution would be found in a future version. The solution has obviously not been found.
I have applied the suggested workaround, changing the preference for browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to false, with absolutely no effect. This workaround did work in versions 20 and 21.
Can anyone help?

nope just delete the file the actual prefs are in prefs.js, user.js is used for something else

This response is a little late as I just read about your problem. I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.

You can do that by using an add-on such as:

* New Tab Homepage - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage
Another way of opening the home page in a new tab is to middle click on the home button in the navigation toolbar.

I converted to the swf format using Allok Video to FLV Converter.
The file is 650k and downloads painfully slow on dial up
connections. Can anyone help me cut the file size or tell me if I

Problem with Top Sites in Safari 8.0.4

Hello:
I just bought a macbook pro, updated all software patches that needed to be done and tried to add my personal top sites in safari. I like to browse visually with them.
The problem is that I have a 12 icon grid. I have successfully done most of them but there are a couple of glitches:
Safari refuses to add my personal webmail site to the top sites http://webmail.velarde.com/
I add it, pin it.. in the place i want . quit safari, reopen and it;s lost.... I've done it lots of times... restarted the computer , erased safari's Top sites plist, etc...
It refuses to keep my site and also add the last 12 icon... I never loads anything there and won't let me add any site in the 12th position.... If I add it, it will dissapear and leave me a gap after I quit and reopen... All the 11 other icons are working as expected.
It's very strange... I know they are a couple of small issues but would love to fix it... This is the first time this has happened to me.

what I'm expecting is by doing a limitation in a lov, is that when I press the find button, the result reflects that previous limitatio.
The form I'm working is "Purchase Order Summary" in Purchasing module, and I want to a restriction in Ship-To field, for a certain profile condition.
So, when I do that limitation, the LOV of the field, shows the only possible Ship-To records, but when I press the Find button, the result is more than the expect.
I also tried to change the DEFAULT_WHERE but I also have had success
I really don't know if this is possible to do in the personalization, or if it better to use the custom.pll to do that.

Problem with Top Sites in Safari 8

After upgrading to OS X Yosemite I experience a problem with my Top Sites. I add a website to my Top Sites, mark it as permanent by clicking the blue pin - so far, so good. But once I quit Safari and re-open it, the marked Top Site is not shown anymore. Does anyone have a similar problem or does someone have a fix for that?

Having to hold down the command key obviates the ease of use where I used to just click with my scroll wheel to open several of the Top Sites in new tabs.
