Safari not loading smoothly and images not loading at all on some sites
Hi, for the past few days Safari has started to load very slowly and on certain sites Amazon & Mark & Spencers for example it takes ages to load and then once loaded no images are displayed. Blue ? mark...
I have searched through the pages and tried resetting, unchecking etc etc Re installed flash to no avail
Can anyone help me? Driving me insane!!
If you have the Develop menu enabled, click Develop from the Safari menu bar. From the drop down menu if there is a check mark nex to Disable Images, click there once to disable.
If that isn't the issue, try troubleshooting plugins and extensions.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
If it's not a plug-in issue, select the Extensions tab. If there are any extensions installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that made a difference, uninstall one at a time, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Safari not remembering multiple passwords for one site
My ffriends and I use safari on my iPhone and thus have multiple login information for one site like facebook. A few months agowe were able to go to a site, start typing in the user name and password, and Safari would show us a highlighted list of the login info that had been saved. You could then click on that info and get logged in. But that feature stopped some time ago and I can't figure it out. Now Safari only remembers the last login info. It still works the way it used to on my iMac and MacBook Pro but not the iPhone. Does anyone know how to fix it?
when the keyboard is open hold on the happy face for a second and from the menu list that pops up turn off the switch for PREDICTIVE. That did it for me. When I start typing the firts letter of the login name now it predicts in yellow and I press space and fills it in, then I have to press the delete button to remove the space before pressing enter.

i have a story about my sister, am talking on her behalf, she got stolen her phone at a caffee when she just come from a horeble exam, she was very mad and having haedace for not doing well at the exam, i ask her if we could have coffee before we go home, once she sate; while i was getting the coffee for her, some one snicked to her pocket and took the phone, immidatly she feelt it and went on to searching, but nathing was hopefull. what makes it more heart braking is that she worked day and night just to buy the phone and pay for her books and so on as a student. she use to work 16 houres a day before she had to start school. 8 houres in one place and then to the other place. and she was always demanding for more houres to work; one day her boss saw her on her other job and she was serprised to see her and saied OHhh my God Milly if you work like this, i wonder if you servive, how could you also ask for more houres, My sis had to do it she has no parents or any thing, well the phone was taken after only two months of having it. the sad thing is she stile dream having it even though she can't think of buying againe. well me i have tryed a lot of things but i know some were out there there is a solution for people like this, it is not always fare for some one who has payed up to 800 to just loose his ......
ThnksI'm sorry, but your sister, unless she had already turned on the "Find my iPhone" feature and the person who took the phone has not disabled it, is out of luck. She should report the theft to local police authorities, including the serial number of her iPhone. While her experience is unfortunate, there are good reasons why Apple cannot do anything else about it.
I hope she gets her phone back.

Safari doesnt load for all user accounts.
Hi all. I have a PC with Windows Vista. I have three user accounts, myself and my 2 children. Safari will work fine as iternet browser on my account, but will not open net page on either of the other accounts. Internet explorer works fine on all 3 accounts but Safari wont load pages for the childrens accounts. This has only happened recently, but im not sure if my children have done any updates. I uninstalled Safari and reinstalled, but no improvement at all.
Can anyone help please?.1. Open a Finder window.
2. Press Command-F.
3. Under the toolbar, click on the button that says "This Computer" next to the word "Search:" so that it says "Search: This Computer". "This Computer" is probably the second option after a button for your User Name.
4. Type "Safari.app" without the quotes. It should show up and start searching. If it doesn't, find the text field to the right of the screen, type "Safari.app" without the quotes, and wait a while.
5. Select the most reasonable option (if there is more than one, you can double-click to open each until you find the right one).
6. Look at the bottom of the screen. It should tell you where the file is. For it to work properly, it should be in "Macintosh HD\Applications\" or simply "\Applications". If it isn't, move it there.
Alternatively, just redownload Safari from Apple's website and install it into the correct folder. When prompted, select Macintosh HD from the list of install locations and wait for it to install. Hope this helps! -
Safari not installed on all users
Dear all, i installed the latest lion on my computer (imac) and the safari program has disapeared, so i find safari in my applications and it says this safari does not work as not working on this operating system, and it appears this username does not have the latest lion on it? weird, all weird. Any ideas. Oh and so fed up with my trackpad not working with my computer and costant re-sync needed i decided to smash it to bits with a hammer, anyone else wish this piece of useless backward equipment an early departure from the world?
The Applications folder is the one that opens when you press the key combination shift-command-A in the Finder. Safari is in there. Select it and open the Info window. It should be version 5.1.5. If not, run Software Update. Delete any other copies of Safari.

The data screen-sweeper in Mozilla seems to be blocked by some sites I need to log into, since Mozilla security does not input username and password data. How do I input this info thru Options/Security/Saved Passwords tab for these sites? Thanks!
If there is a password field on a web page and you have saved a password then Firefox may try to fill that password and enter the name in the field just above that password field.

Safari Sluggish on Videos and Image Search
Safari seems to take forever to open videos. On the ABC news site, a video took so long to load, I opened Firefox, loaded the video and watched the whole thing before Safari even started. Also, when I search for images in Google with Safari, the search return is quick, but the images take forever to load. This is not true when I search to Firefox.
I'm not trying to boost Firefox. I love Safari. It's just lately the web surfing experience in Safari has been slooooow. It seem to have been the more recent updates.

Empty the Safari cache more often. Either from the Safari menu bar, Safari / Empty Cache or press Command + Option + E on your keyboard.

and confirm. Test. If there's no change, see below.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -
I have windows vista, and Safari and iTunes aren't working. In addition, other software such as FireFox and Norton also aren't working. My computer is otherwise running smooth so I don't think it's a virus or anything, I think I'm just missing a mutual application that all these programs use to function. I recently had to do a System Restore on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and then I got the dreaded "Safari has stopped working" windows whenever I try to launch it. To be more specific, Safari, doesn't even launch. I get that message. Then when I click "Close the program", I get the "Safari has stopped working" message again. After I close that, then it stops.

Safari Not working at all! (Windows 7)
Hi all, have searched a lot of forums and haven't found a soluion to this one yet.
I am using Windows 7, Safari 5.1.2, iTunes 10.5.2, Quicktime 7.7.1
Safari does not open any webpage although all other functions seem to work, iTuines Store only opens as simple HTML (see below), and only after some long wait.
(iTunes Diagnostic report below)
So far I have tried:
Turning off my firewall
Re-setting winsock services
Re-starting bonjour service
Re-installing all above apple components (individualy and collectively)
Deleting 'preferences' files in Safari
Any other suggestions greatfuly received!

Safari not connecting to server on some web-sites
My son was using the Internet when a storm went through last week. The power went off and back on. We sign onto the Internet and some pages won't come up. The error message states the it cannot connect to the server. I've checked my settings and I know they are correct when connecting the my provider because some pages will come up and I can still download my e-mail through Entourage. I was going to re-install Safari, but I have version 10.9 of Tiger and that would put be backwards. What can I do to resolve this?
I have been reading up on some other questions and tried to re-install Safari from my Tiger disc. It did not work. I even dragged Safari to Trash and re-installed again from scratch. It still doesn't work. Safari shows version 2.0.4. I have to use my son's laptop or the one at work to even connect to the Apple website. I'm just an ordinary person who uses the Internet and I don't know much about the "behind the scenes" like threads. I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter. I want my full Internet back. Thanks.

Just a few days ago, I noticed that when I start Firefox it goes to a blank page, despite the fact that I have several times checked and rechecked under "Options" and my home page is in there. Also the back button has stopped working. I have made sure that inprivate browsing is not enabled, history is maintained etc etc

Trying to open Safari version 4.1 (which I believe is the newest version) but no browsing window pops up when I click the app button on the dock. Additionally, when I press -Q (command-q) to close the program, an error report appears (Safari has closed unexpectdly).
Any thoughts at all as to what may be glitched with my version?

Safari doesn't open and doesn't work at all!!!
Since three days ago, I can open safari at all. I just bounces twice and then stops. I have already tried the solutions offered in other threads which complain about similar problems with safari but safari remains troubled. I am not good at this. Why are PDF and Image Files embedded in all sent mail messages?
When sending mail with either PDF or Image Files as attachments, the person receiving the message does get the attachment, but the files are also embedded in the mail message. This will display the image file below my text, however with a PDF, it's just trying to display as an image but is just lots of garbled characters. Word docs are not embedded, just attached. Any ideas how to prevent this? I'm attaching files by using the attach button and browsing for the file like normal. Thanks!
