Sadly I agree, unfortunately Apple is heading down this path no matter what its users think.
Their staff are painfully smug about it too, going on yet another "everyone but Apple is wrong" staff member I encountered on the weekend.
Have you tried selecting all the text and forcing it onto whatever brand of English you are using?

  • Result set too large in BI report; Safety belt settings in WAD

    Hello All,
When we run a BI report, the error " Result set is too large; data retrieval restricted by configuration" appears. We did a search on SAP portal and found the SAP note 1127156, whics recommends the configuaration of safety belt to limit memory used.
Acoordingly the cust table RSADMIN has been configured. But on the web template side, we need to configure the changes as well. The note says:
"1. Use the context menu Properties / Data Provider in a BEx Web Application to maintain the "safety belt" for a Query View.
    2. Choose the register "Size Restriction for Result Sets".
    3. Choose an entry from the dropdown box to specify the maximum number of cells for the result set.
    The following values are available:
    Maximum Number
    Default Number
    Custom-Defined Number
Behind "Maximum Number" and "Default Number" you can find the current numbers defined in the customizing table RSADMIN (see below).
    4. Save the Query View and use it in another Web Template."
I am trying to locate these options in the context menu in Web Applications designer but in vain.
    Can anyone help...

This option is not available in WAD, it will be available when you run the web template under settings, Data Provider for the standard template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.
If you have a custom template you will have to use the Dataprovider settings web item in your custom template to change the values during runtime.

  • How to modify a template and use both old/new in the same library without interference

OK first Thank you for reading this and hopefully being able to help me out. I got dumped this project on my desk to update two different templates already published in
share point(2010) years ago. The original developer left the company 4 years ago. Since then anyone that tried to do anything with them made a big mess. I have done some heavy reading and am stuck on few issues.
Please note the templates were created IP 2007 and I will be using IP 2007 to modify them. The temples have a small amount of C# that does not have to be changed. There is also a digital signature linked to them.
After some heavy reading this week. I figured that I need to edit the template from Share point(2010)/IP(2007) and not copy the templates to a different location laptop/desktop
because that will ruin the digital signature. There is also a large volume of submitted forms from these temples. The new version of the temples will be heavily modified deleting rolls columns changing names. My understanding is that since I want to keep the
old submitted forms the way they are and still use the old template to open them. I would need a second version of the original template with all the visual modification to still use the original template's C# digital signatures and any other file that runs
    in the background.
    The plan:
1)Turn off the automatic update to forms/template when a new version of the template is created.
    2) Copy the existing template (.xsn) file to a new document folder in share point(same network).
    3) Change the name of the .XSN file that I copied and modify it??????????? Will keeping the same name interfere with the old template/C# digital signature ect? I would like to change to something like SameName_version_2015 for example. or will changing the
name cut the link to the old C# digital signature? or will it get modify the background files and break the old template/submitted files.
    4) Publish the new template in share point.
    5) Change the data connection to a new directory that I wish to submit all files.
Please advice am I missing anything? and help me understand my step 3 better. Also I would love to get a better understanding of how i can backup and recover everything. Do I simple copy unmodified .XSN files somewhere and publish them if things goes wrong?
Do I need to backup anything else?
I am open to options if I can create a test folder in the share point for safety.
Once again THANK YOU for trying to help.

    Hi, thanks for the reply!
Just to follow up for what we did to disable the delete function for maintaining table records. We hided the Delete button by adding a "MODULE disable_delete" code in Screen Painter. So now only adding records to the table is allowed.
    Thanks,
    Jenny

  • Custom-style outline template with prompts and glossary page

    Hello
I would like to make a template in Word 2010 with a custom-style outline. Would anyone be able to suggest how to achieve these requirements (pointing me to reading material also helpful):
    1. Every phrase the user types into a field gets automatically added to a final glossary page, listing exact letter-for-letter duplicates only once.
    2. Upon opening an instance of the template the user is prompted with the following entry form questions:
           ○ Prompt: "What error message or problem description will this document cover?" The free-text answer will populate the header of each page in the title style.
           ○ Prompt: "What is your initial condition? If none, press enter." The free-text answer will populate the first line in heading1 style in the form "Additional Condition: [user's answer]".
If the answer is of string length 0, the user's answer defaults to "none".
           ○ Prompt: "List all possible causes for initial condition, separated by a comma. Phrase possible causes as a question." Each comma-separated free-text answer will populate the next line in heading2
style with the numbering convention "Possible Cause [#]".
     3. Under each possible cause item the following items appear in heading3 style, each on its own line: "System overview, Tools required, Safety precautions, Troubleshooting steps, Confirm possible cause, Fix confirmed
cause". Underneath the items just listed appear more fields that the user can use.
I realize this is a lengthy post, probably too specific, but if I could get pointed in the right direction I am willing to do the research!

Thank you for the insights, Fei Xue. Let me try to explain to glossary requirement better...
The glossary will reiterate all phrases entered by the user (this is an outline so each phrase will be a paragraph, but paragraphs the paragraphs a brief). I have the following code that executes as written but the problem comes when you change content
in the outline the glossary does not get updated.

  • EH&S - Label - define multiple language variantions - one template

    Dear all,
We would like to generate an Product Safety Label from the system (by using a WWI template). The difficulty is that these lables should contain as much as possible languages and they deviate from time to time, as of shipping to other countries.
As far as we know, we can change the Symbol catagory by using the following IMG path:
IMG path: EHS > Basic data tools > Report Definiton > Report Symbols > Check and Specify Report Symbols. Here we can change the report symbol type to paramater or change the rep. sym. group so that an pop-up will appear at the display (generation) of a Label from one specification. We would like to use the input parameters to define the specific languages on the Label (e.g. 6 languages for e.g. First Aid measures phrases), this with only one WWI template.
Would this be feasible? Or are there other options/ways to configure/develop the report so that we can display (on-demand) the specific languages we would like to have on the label?
    Thank you in advance!!
    Kind regards,
    Rob Greijmans

    Hello
in addition of what has been explaned:
you need a good understanding how to maintain WWI layouts and what is needed on the level of the generation vairaiant in addition  (GLM topic). This topic is a little bit "sophisticated" and you should start only if you understand the basic concepts in doing so and there will be many "pitfalls".
    Take a look here:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04_sp/helpdata/en/a1/4eeaa2eaab5f4ebd8272e143831f06/frameset.htm
and especially using the EH&S sap help you will find the topic:
"Example: Repeating Group of Type G"
And you need to have a look here as well in EH&S hel
    "Taking Validity Areas into Account"
    with best regards

  • Template changes will not propogate out to the child web pages in the defined site.

I have a user in my organization who regularly makes changes to a dreamweawer template in order to universally change content on pages that are internal to her office.  The site that serves her office has been defined in dreamweaver (we're running dreamweaver CS4).  Normally, after saving the template changes on her way out of the dw session, she would be asked whether or not she wanted to propagate her template changes out to all of the child web pages (.htmls) in her site.  This has stopped happening and sure enough she can see that the change doesn't exist on the child pages.  Does anyone know why this might have happened, how to restore that prompt for propagation or, most importantly, how she can get those changes propagated to the child pages?

That may be an eventuality, particularly assuming I'm never able to work on this fulltime...which is likely. =)  Anyway, thanks so much for the link.  We'll try this again.  Hopefully, you'll be able to read it.  Even if it's clear, it may still just be clearly ugly, but please let me know what you think.  Thanks!:

  • Dreamweaver template (.dwt) keeps reverting to old version after reopening CS3

I work locally on all files and upload as needed.  After chaging template and applying it, I can upload all associated pages just fine.  If I close DW and reopen, the old version of the template is there without any changes -- even though I saved the template.
Also, updating the template will change all other web pages except index.html.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Sure.  No nested templates to my knowledge -- especially since I only have one template.  Look like I have some regions in my index.html that don't match the .dwt -- even though the .dwt was created from the .html.  When I tried to update the .html, it really screws up the content.  Let's kill the 1st bird first -- why my ,dwt file keeps reverting to an old version.  Here is the code for the template.  Again, thank you!

  • Product Safety Automatic MSDS shipment

    Hi everybody,
I am doing a feasiblity study on implementing the product safety module for MSDS shipment. I would like some clarification on the implementation steps.
The scenario is: MSDS documents are created and stored outside SAP.
I am able to create the substance. a template and a variant.
Since the documents are created in PDF format outside SAP, I don't know If a WWI server should be installed in this case?
I am not able to generate a report. No data is found...Maybe a missing config??
What is a good a approach to link n material to n MSDS documents?
    Thank You
    Joni

    Hello Joni,
In order to use EH&S Report Shipment you need to have a WWI server installed.
Even if you want to to send and print MSDS that have been created outside of SAP.
Furthermore you need to upload these MSDS into SAP EH&S for the whole process to work.

You can not generate documents within EH&S Product Safety without a WWI Server.
But why do you want to create documents if the MSDSs are created outside of SAP?

You can use TR CG36VEN to upload MSDSs.
    Hope this helps
P.s.: There are two 'Cookbooks' available: one for Report Shipment and one for WWI servers. They have been posted in this form...

  • Template & File Deletion

In iWork '08, how do I completely delete items in "My Templates" and "Existing Files"?

As in every app in AppleLand, you quit the application, you navigate to the folder with the Finder and you delete the useless files.
Applications are made to edit or read documents, not to trash them.
I assume that it's a design choice introduced for safety.
I really don't know where is the folder "Existing Files" and I don't know what is a file which doesn't exist

  • Remove the "Safety" tab from IE 11 tools with group policy

Is there any way to remove the "Safety" tab or it's contents from the
tools button in the upper right hand corner of IE 11 with Group Policy 2008 r2. I am using a GPMC on a windows 8.1 computer running IE 11. All of the computers we manage are Windows 7 pro running IE 10 or IE 11. The computers I am trying to remove the "Safety"
from are used as library catalog computers. We have them pretty well locked down with group policy and a squid server. I just need to remove the "Safety" or the contents in it. I would love to remove the "Tools" all together but haven't
    found a way.
I thought maybe I could use the "Force Full Screen" but need a back, forward
    and home button.

    Hi,
There is no method to remove this button.
If no, like that thread, firewall and proxy could meet your requirement.
Creating Rules that Block Unwanted Outbound Network Traffic
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732306(v=ws.10).aspx
For Proxy, you could use this group policy to disable user to change connection setting. Navigate to
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer
Find the following entry and enable it.
    disable changing connection settings
Then don't grant admin permission to other user so that they cannot do any changing on computer.

  • QSM (Producer/Consumer) Template

Hello everyone. Before I start with my project (instrument control and data acquisition) I made a template using the JKI State machine template and converted to queued based state machine with producer/consumer loop. Basically, I wanted to separate the processing i.e.. data acquisition etc. from any front panel activity i.e. button press etc. Since I've worked with JKI template quite a lot, I'm used to the idea of string based queues and the layout of the template itself, so I just modified it to better suit my needs.
I checked the JKI Producer/Consumer design at: http://forums.jki.net/topic/1347-jki-state-machine-producer-consumer-loop/, but it wasn't quite what I wanted since if my hardware (i.e. motor) reaches a certain limit (safety issue) I have to terminate the process (easily accomplished with the above example), however, if user decides to intervene (HARD STOP), then the process wouldn't terminate on the second loop.
Anyway, above is just an idea of what I'm in to and attached is a template I decided to do with QSM Producer Consumer style.
I would appreciate any comments/improvements that you might be able to do in this template.
    Thanks

    What are the T-Codes.
    What master data is required.

    Hello
Steps involved in Product Safety are
    1) Create / maintain Specification Data using CG02
    2) Generate Specification using Template and Generation variant = CGO2
    3) Check and release the document for further use = CG50
    4) Assign Material to specification and assign environmental relevancy indicator to material master  via  MM02
    5) Triggering Shpping -VAO1
    6) Report Shipping - CVD1
    Master Data
    Specification = P182
    Generation Variants = MSDS_US1
    Material Master = P182 / P182A
    Customer = C182 / C183

  • Corrupt card template HELP!!

Ok here is what is going on:
In my address book i have all 200 of my contacts etc. There is a problem now though.
    My card template is corrupt.
The physical address is now gone from the template and I can't get it back. So I have numbers, email, messengers and all the other fields yet the address will not show up in the card. When I look on my ipod the addresses are there so i know they are in the data but not showing up.
I have gone into the address book preferences and here are the two things i noticed.
    1. under the "template" I cannot add the address it is already greyed out like it is already being shown, however i know it is not.
    2. Also under the "general" tab, i cannot select any sort of address format it is locked on something called item3 and it will not change I can't even get a pull down. the other sortby and fontsize pull downs work but not the address format.
I have already tried dumping the preferences file, and restoring all of the contacts from time machine but no go. Does anyone know where this template is located and if I can "reset" it?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

in the past i have had success in rebuilding the address book database when i had a problem with searching for example. i do not know if that would help with your issue, but that issue strikes me as a database issue too, so that is why i am bringing it up here.
here is what i do: first i quit address book, then for safety i go to the homefolder/library/application support/address book and i copy/back up that folder somewhere else, then i go back to that folder and locate the file addrssbook-v22.abcddb and trash/delete it. once that is done i launch ab again. you may want to try this and see if that helps your issue.
    let me know.
