Sales Area and Sales document type

Hi Professionals,
I like to clarify if the following is correct:
1. Sales Area Must Be assigned  to Sales document type.

-as far as the logic for this goes ,
its main relevanmce  is to limit the sales document type to the sales area is that the end user does not create a sales order ,
for another sales area in your sales document let for ex-
there is a sales area for whole sales and one for retail.
now you have configurerd the ywho sales doc type for whole sales- sales area and yret for retail sales area.
now if the user creates the ywho sales order in retail sales area there will be process related problems for despatch guys so in order to limit this error and hassle, there are the ales area specific sales document types and can be configured as earlier told by gurus

    Yes, you are right.
    Check the img activity documentation in SPRO under "Assign Sales area to sales doc types".
    Assign Sales Area To Sales Document TypesI
    n this menu option, you allocate the allowed order types to each sales area group.
    You do not need to make any entries at all if all the sales order types are allowed for each of your sales areas.
    If you wish to check allowed sales document types, you must set up common sales areas. This means you must define common sales organizations, common distribution channels and common divisions. If, for example, you have define common divisions, then you must also define common distribution channels and sales organizations.

    I got a requirement where customer needs the Invoice list assignment to billing documents sales area wise. Like in one particular sales area one invoice list type to a billing doc but the same billing doc needs other invoice list type in other sales area.
    Pl. let me know how can we assign the different invoice lists sales area wise.

    Create a new zee table & maintain the entries of sales area, customer, billing document type etc.
    Use user exit USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP to fetch & overwrite the values in FKART_RL ( VBRK).

  • Availability check on storages in sales order and delivery documents

    Hi all,
    I'm verifying if it's possible to find a standard or a custom solution for this type of problem:
    I have a scenario in which there are more storages relevant for MRP (ex. 01, 02, 03, 04), and, in if I check availability in sales order or delivery (using checking rules "A" or "B") with setting which considering storages location inspection in availability check control, system check if there's stock available on all these storages.
    I'm trying to verify if it's possible to consider only some on these storages (ex. 01 and 03 only) in sales order and delivery documents availablity check.
    I know that in sales order storage location field is normally filled only using exit, but i don't know if it's possible to do, using a user exit, check availability considering only some storages and not all. At delivery level i have tried to use stock strategy, but this functionality don't have consequences on availability check, also if it's relevant during good issue phase.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.

    Hi Gianpaolo,
    We had some issues with availability check on a Customer Site.
    I don't remember right now if we had to exclude storage locations from MRP to take them out from ATP, but I guess Shiva is 100% correct.
    At the end, what was done was to always "force" a unique storage location in the sales order item, which will be the storage location used for shipping of the delivery of course.
    If you use WM in your plant, then you will have no problem in having a unique storage location, so no problem.
    Anyway you are correct in your analysis, if the Storage location is not informed in the sales order item, then all the plant stock is taken in account for ATP.

    1. Your sales ordre will have a pricing procedure in it.. Pricing procedure has condition typess. for revenues and discounts. Did you assign cond types in KE4I to your value field?
    2. Also, if your pricing procedure has cond type VPRS, this will contain the COGS.... Assign VPRS also to a value field in KE4I
    3. Check If you did the settings in COPA for
    a. Select Valuation Strategy 001 in KE4U
    In DETAILS tab: Assign it to Appl = KE, Check Mat Cstng, and Qty Field = ABSMG
    In Assignment tab: Assigning 001 to Point of valuation 01 and Record Type = F
    b. Creating a costing key in KE40
    Check : Transfer  Std cost estimate
    Period indicator =Current Cost estimate acc to entry in mat master
    c. assigning costing key to material types in KE4J or KEPC and
    d. assigning Cost Comp Structure to Value field in KE4R

  • Sales Area assignment to Transaction Type.

    Dear all,
    We are using SAP CRM 5.0and am in the process of rolling out CRM Sales to a new Company of us.
    I have defined the Organization Management in C21 System and completed the Assignment of Sales Area to the Transaction Types in Development landscape.
    Now i need to move the settings to QA landscape.
    As the assignment of Sales area is a transportable object, i transported the same to QA landscape but the organization number ranges which has been created in QA landscape are different,
    how do you I bring same Organization Number to QA landscape from Development as it is not a transportable object?
    It is the only way to Change the system settings in SCC4 and change the settings manually.
    Kindly give me your inputs how to go ahead.

    Hi Mani,
    If all your order types can be used in all the sales orders, you dont need to maintain in OVAZ. If you think ur order type has to be used only in one of the sales area then you need to maintain in OVAZ.

    In my point of view pricing are recorded in condition record.
    so if you want to combine all the pricing procedure then i dont this so this is possible.
    What you can do is create new pricing procedure and add all the condition types which are active.
    so that you can get the pricing procedure of your requirement.
    hope so this might work but i dont know how to combine pricing procedure.
    And if you want to combine your all sales area to one sales area
    then you can use combine sales organisation and combine distribution channel process.
    you need to create new sales organistion and distribution channels
    and do the assignment of both these with one division.
    then go to VOR1 and VOR2 to combine all your sales area to one sales area.
    hope so this might work for sales area combination.

    I know that you can see modifies by going to VA03/VF03 -> Environment -> Changes. But this report is too poor.

    what are the fields for sales order and billing document dates?

      Couldnt really get the exact requirement:
    1. If Billing Dates are to be extracted from Sales Documents, we can do that by extracting field <b>FKDAT</b> from table <b>VBKD</b>.
    2. If it is Billing Document creation date, extract from VBRK-ERDAT with below condition.
      select vbrp~vbeln vbrp posnr vbrp~aubel
             vbrp~aupos vbrk~erdat into table itab
             from vbrp as a
             inner join vbrk as b
             on vbrp~vbeln = vbrk~vbeln
             where vbrp~aubel in s_vbeln.  "Sales Documents

    Using many infostructures before to see sales analysis.
    Another solution :
    In sales order (by user exit), copy characteristics in new fields in VBAP.
    Then, you can use these fields in VA05 (add user exit) or new ABAP report.

    When i use VF04, he combines documents with the same customer number, proposal billing type and sales organization. I need to add Sales Office and Sales Group, where can i do that ?

    Hello,
    You need new fields in LVKDFI structure, for example sales office.
    when you created news fields, them you implemented include VV05HFZ2, for example you can loop structure lvkdfi and select sales office from vbak or likp and write this in new fields.

  • Different number range for different  sales area but same order type

    i have 2 different sales area but i have assigned same sales order type for 2 different sales area,
    but i need the number range different for different sales area for that same sales doc type,
    is that there is any user exists for number range? if so how can i find the user exists

    Hi,
    You can surely have a different number range per Sales Area. For this you will have to make use of a User Exit (which would surpass the standard SAP functionality). Try USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE.
    Maintain the desired range in VN01 with the respective Range Keys.
    Make a custom table comprising of Sales Area and Number Range keys (same keys which you maintained in VN01).
    Now everytime, the system will check which sales area is used and accordingly, it will fetch the Number Range Key~Sales Area combination from the custom table, and will pick up the number range from VN01.
    Coding should done by a good technical guy to make this work nicely.
