Sales person in the service call report

I am using PLD to make a new layout for the service call report. I would like to add a column with the sales person of the customer. I have already added the field from the table, but i just get a blank column.
Does anyone know how I can do it?

Hi Jacobo,
We cannot select the OSLP table in the list of tables available without using Alt+click. Please reconfirm if you have used this. Since OSLP is not available, you cannot include the Sales Employee column in the report.
One workaround is to set the sales employee name in one of the unused fields on the Service call form (like problem type, call type etc). Just rename and define the sales employees here as well. You can even use Formatted search to update this field for change in BP code.
Since this column is already available in the Service call reports, you can easily rename the columns and use the reports as-is without much customisation on PLD.

    I frequently lose audio when in the middle of a call.  I am not certain whether it is a full disconnect or just an audio loss.  The person on the other end reports still being able to hear me, however, I suppose they could hear me speaking over another source even if bluetooth disconnected. The loss of audio is always preceded by a quick shrill noise, so I can easily tell when it happens.  All I have to do to fix the problem is to select Audio Source on the call screen, temporarily switch audio back to the iPhone, and then switch back to the headset, and then it starts working again.
    My Iphone5 was replaced and having same Problem. Only does this when using bluetooth for talking.

    I have the exact same issue... I've been using a Jabra Extreme2 and just this weekend, bought a Plantronics Marque2 and today had the same issue, so it's clearly not the headset but the phone or OS.
    I might try a restore and see if it helps...

    Searching for solutions did not succeed, as the EventID of ajczh is not found on the web. Anyone had this problem already?

    I modified the ULS-logging to include verbose entries. The problem is correlated to Excel Services, which are functioning quite well on our side. Our Topology consists of an application server, 2 WFE and an office app server. We are using the BI features
    of PowerPivot via an additional BI-SQL-server in SharePoint-mode.
    Right before the strange entry in the logs we are getting these:

    Hi Vikram
    You will notice on the item master records that there is a field called Item Type. The options are Item, Labor and Travel. In order for the service module to recognize the expense or charge type, either Labor or Travel must be select. Create a service item (untick inventory item) and choose the Item Type as Labor or Travel. When you now create a Delivery/Invoice from the expenses section of the service call, it will identify and warn you if you charge the customer, as this would be defined in your service contract template as non billable charges. You can still create a Delivery for the charges and put quantities and values on the Delivery document. In this case you are not going to invoice the customer for the charges, so you can "Close" the Delivery. Just be aware that closing the Delivery will post the value to an offset account defined in the Account Determination.
    The benefit of this approach is that the Delivery will post a debit and credit in your G/L that will "accrue" what the costs are of servicing the customer. My suggestion would be to set the account determination for the Labor/Travel item(s) to item level and define the Revenue/Expense accounts to specific G/L accounts.

    If the price is the same everywhere that you have looked - I would suggest purchasing wherever you feel most comfortable. I think you might be answering your own question though when you ask if the workshops are free. You are not going to get the type of instruction - if you get any at all - from a reseller like you will get at an Apple Store. The Apple Store will set the device up for you if you want them to do so.

    After executing it, the report has one column named "overdue", could you pls advise how to tell it's overdue or not?  what's the date the report used to compare?

    Hi All,
    We have two item groups A1 and B1. We have managed all the items under these groups.
    While running the Service call report, I can see only item selection criteria and not the item group.
                                   The requirement is to set  authorization for the user that he should be able to view the reports (Service Related and Inventory Reports)) only for a particular item group ? Would this be possible? How can this be achieved? Please let me know.

    What you asked for is field level authorization.  This is not available on current system design. You have to use SDK or add-on to get your solution.

    You need to write a small report/program which queries CRM table CRMD_ORDERADM_H for activities.
    You can use  field OBJECT_TYPE =   'BUS2000125'    (task) and  'BUS2000126'  (Business Activity),
    which covers all CRM Online activities of all types.
    You can additionally use fields CREATED_BY (or/and CHANGED_BY) to list down the activities
    created /changed by that user.
    So a simple select query will solve your purpose.

    I try to create a report with XL reporter using the service call datas. I find everything in the composer but in the designer part, the system doesn't show me anything (I have a lot of datas in my database). No error message, I have only a white page... All the other report based on other datas work...
    Is someone has already created a report for service call using XL reporter?

    Hi,
    For reports to work in the Designer screen (in excel) you need to include at least one measure (amount or quantity field that looks like a #Y$ type field) in the report. 
    You can hide the field if don't need to see it.  I can't remember if there are any measures in the service module though.
    If you don't include a measure the report will return data in the composer screen but not in the 2nd screen.

    I am attempting to design a process for a client that uses services calls.  My main question is, is there anyway to tie Sales Orders in with a Service call? If I go to Expenses under the Service Call form and select New Document, I have options for Delivery, Returns, Invoice, etc.  Does anyone have a recommendation for tieing in Sales Order documents?

    Regarding your concern:
    My main concern is that they will like to see the Items and Labor broken out separately within expenses in the same manner that an invoice operates.
    In this case , you can just customise your PLD for Sales Order .It is pretty easy and if you are partner working with customer  ,solution is provided in elearning session or expert session . Since Sales Order is nothing with related with Journal entry , so it is just the matter how you want to present it to your customer .

  • Reporting on service call history

    I would like to create a report of service call history as can be seen on the service call tab. I know the ASCL table  is the change log for service calls: is this my only option for getting a report? Is there a view for the Service call history?
    My goal is to track the time it takes between changes in Call Status for some performance reporting. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi Laura,
    If you need a report for service call history that can be seen on the service call tab, you may not need ASCL. ASCL only saves the header changes. Those data under each tab are saved in the SCLx sub tables.

  • Accessing the SOAP fault received by OSB Service Call Out

    I have a proxy service with multiple OSB service call outs, which access a backend server via SOAP.
    If the backend server returns a fault, the proxy service' exception handling kicks in and the exception handling flow is triggered.
    That flow provides a variable 'fault', which holds the OSB fault information with the BEA fault code.
    The variable holding the service call out response (to which I assume the backend servers fault is written) is not available in the exception handling flow.
    I have multiple service call outs in my flow, all writing their response to different variables.
    Is there any way to access the fault received by the service call out? Is there any variable available in the exception flow, to which that information is written?

    Here are the solutions I can think of (if no one here responds with something better):
    1. Open Settings and then Phone within the Settings screen and see if you can find a setting there for the call summary. The Phone submenu under Settings would be the most likely place.
    2. Open Settings on your iPhone and go through each item including all of the items within each main item. Within about 10 minutes you should be able to get through all of the settings and find the setting if it exists on your phone. There is no such setting on my phone but it is possible that Airtel has a custom menu with that.
    3. If you still haven't found it, you could check a) Airtel's support site and/or b) an Airtel specific forum.
    4. If still no luck, I would call Airtel and ask again and if you get the same response ask for the location of the setting (or to speak to someone who can tell you).
