Samples Directory for Adaptive Porlets

I am trying to setup the adaptive Portlet example. In the Readme document, it says to "copy the samples directory to the remote server". Where should it be copied to? To the WWWRoot directory? Do I need to make this an application? Do I need to copy pieces of this samples directory to the directory structure within wwwroot? Here is the link to the the zip file that contains the readme file (ADCAdaptivePortletSamples.zip)
http://portal.plumtree.com/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_0_9405_0_0_47/http;/prodgadget12.plumtree.com/collab/docman/download/104976/0/0/0/ADCAdaptivePortletSamples.zip

Where you setup the samples files on the remote server is arbitary, since they include their own small http server already -- there's no need to set them up under your iis/tomcat/apache docroot.

  • Integration Directory | Choose Adapter Metadata - No objects found!

    Hi friends.
    I'm new in XI and I wanted to test some simple scenarios. At the beginning I had a problem with the SLD. We made some post-installation steps and everything was allright. Thus my problem is now: In the Integration Directory I try to create a communication channel - I choose Scenario->Service Without Party -> Business System -> <myBusinessSystem> -> Communication Channel and do a right click on it. I choose NEW and create a new communication channel. But when I use display input help for Adapter Type, it is loading for a while but the list of Adapter engines is empty and there is written - No objects found!. I didn't install XI on our machines and I don't know which installation / post installation steps were done. Adapter Engine in integration server is installed for sure. I looked for some threads on the forum, but I didn't find nothing more specific for my problem. Probably I need to set up something somewhere to obtain a list of adapters for the communication channel. Any help will be rewarded.
    Thanks
    Ondrej

    Ondrej,
    You need to import SAP BASIS Software Component Version into Integration Repository.
    You need to download it from service market place.
    https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=SEARCH&HIDE=&SEARCH_SPAT=X&SEARCH_BPAT=X&SEARCH_CD=X&SEARCH_P=X&SEARCH_PV=X&SEARCH_C=X&SEARCH_CV=X&SEARCH_TA=&SEARCH_V=&HIDE_EXPERT_SEARCH=X&SEARCH_MAX_RESULT=20
    In Search Term Enter "SAP BASIS <version>".
    Then put this in the import directory: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
    Now in IR, <b>TOOLS ---> Import design objects</b> and import it.
    After import you should be able to see the namespace under it.

  • Directory for archiving files with errors

    HI ,
    My Scenario is file to RFC Asynch.
    when ever the PI picks file from the source directory that file need to delete from the path and need to be archived to some other patch.
    And if the file has wrong data it need to archive to error archive folder.
    For this I used  Archive processing in filesender adapter and I also used directory for archiving files with errors(for wrong data files).
    Now the files are arching successfully in the given archive folder for successful messages. But the error files (wrong data which are throwing mapping error in MONI) are also archiving in the same archive folder.
    But these error files need to archive in error archive folder.
    How can I achieve this?
    Thanks in Adv..
    Vankadoath.

    you can use raja's logic ..........in addition in second receiver do a simple mapping UDF to delete the file from the SUCCESS folder. otherwise your file will be archived in both the folder success and errror
    see this code.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) para.get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
                   DynamicConfigurationKey keyFileName1 = DynamicConfigurationKey
                   .create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
                         inputFileName = conf.get(keyFileName1);
      *File f1 = new File("/usr/sap/XX/"+keyFileName1);*
      *boolean success = f1.delete();*
      *if (!success){*
      *System.out.println("Deletion failed.");*

  • Home Directory for AD on remote machine

    Hi,
    Requirement is like this:-
    As user is provisioned to AD a home directory for user is created on remote computer with name of user. I had wrriten a VB script to create a folder in users folder(folder already shared) on remote machine. I am able to sucessfully create the folder when i run script through command prompt. Now i write a java code to run the script with following command in java code.
    Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c cscript d:/users "+userid + " " + action);
    I am able to run the java code from eclispe and folder is created in users folder on remote machine.
    Now i had added a process task in AD process form and attached the adapter in which this java code is executed to run the script and i called this on response code (sucessfully provisioned) of AD .now when i provisoned user to AD process is called but error is their as cmd is not a command on linux... how can i run the script on linux.
    2) If folder users folder is not shared i have to give permissions on folder to particular user with userid and password to create its home directory in it how can i achieve this using vbscript??

    I assume you are creating folders in a file server and its a windows machine , is it ?
    You can install a remote manager on file server or on any other machine in network and execute your scripts remotely using remote manager
    Also you can execute your script like wscript c:\CreateFolder.vbs
    Thanks

  • Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    We have installed the XI 7.0 and I have realized a simple scenario "File > XI > File" in order to validate the installation... and on has a dump around Adapter Framework.
    Inside SXMB_MONI, on has the following error:
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>

      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    It's probably a problem with aii but which one ?

    Hi Mickael,
    The problem that you are facing looks like it is unable to connect to the adapter engine itself, please check the following:-
    The userid being used must have the authorizations of group SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER on the Integration Server.
    *During the configuration of the adapter (From Help documentation):-
    <i>Specifications for the Integration Engine
    Enter the complete address (URL) of the Integration Engine that you want to send the message to:
    XI.TargetURL=http://IntegrationEngineHost:port/pipeline-arguments
    This specification is mandatory.</i>
    One suggestion:- Please try the following and see if you are still facing the problem, this might help you in decreasing the number of places to verifyconfigurations!
    Again, from help:-
    <i>The Integration Engine address can also be accessed dynamically from the SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD). The following entry is added to the configuration for this purpose:
    XI.SLDConfiguration=SLDaccessor
    In this case the URL of the corresponding Integration Server for the system specified with XI.SenderService is read from the SLD and used instead of the value specified under XI.TargetURL. Therefore, specify the following:
    XI.TargetURL=<fromSLD>
    To be able to access the SLD, the SLDaccessor service must be configured correspondingly and the respective entries must be maintained in the SLD.</i>
    Hope this helps!

    for schedulers
    1. Create a java class that extends the SchedulerBaseTask (see example below)
    2. Write your business logic
    3. Compile and jar
    4. Place the jar in the ScheduleTask directory in your OIM install
    5. Create a new scheduled task using the OIM developer console
    6. link in the new class into your new scheduled task.
    7. Done!
    Example code for a scheduled task:
    import com.thortech.xl.scheduler.tasks.SchedulerBaseTask;
    public class ScheduledtaskExample extends SchedulerBaseTask {
    public void init()
    //this method is run before execute by the scheduler
    public void execute() {

  • Change project directory for Workshop?

    The default project directory for workshop is

    Dave,
    You can change the server with which Workshop communicates by modifyingthe
    Config directory entry available under the Tools->Preferences->Pathsoption
    on the IDE.
    In your case the config directory should be c:\
    and the domain should be foo.
    also make sure you change the port number entry to the one the server infoo
    is listening on.
    Hope this helps.

    OK. I added a new domain (e.g., foo) and pointed the directory to one
    of
    my
    choosing (c:\foo). Weblogic then created a c:\foo\applications
    directory.
    Ok, how do I get workshop to use that directory for my development
    project(s)? When I start if from my start menu it uses the cgserver
    instance and when I create a project it creates it in the samples
    application directory.
    "Raj Alagumalai" <[email protected]> wrote in message

    Dave,
    When you create a project in Workshop, the project will be created
    under
    the
    applications folder of the server with which Workshop is
    communicating.
    For
    every project that you create via Workshop there is a corresponding
    fully
    exploded web application that is created on the WebLogic Server. This
    restricts the ability to have the project reside in a different
    location
    other than the applications folder.
    If you do not want the project to be created in the samples directoryyou
    can configure a new domain via the domain configuration wizard. But
    the
    project would still be under the applications folder of the newdomain.

    Hope this answers your question.

  • [RESOLVED] Unable to move dev directory for Apache, keep getting 403

    Hello,
    I'd like to move my default /srv/http directory for my PHP pages to a different location (somewhere in my home directory) for convenience.  This is exclusively for local development.  However, after making the same change in two places, I restarted Apache and keep getting a 403 error.
    Here is my httpd.conf:
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so 'log/access_log'
    # with ServerRoot set to '/www' will be interpreted by the
    # server as '/www/log/access_log', where as '/log/access_log' will be
    # interpreted as '/log/access_log'.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive

    You're right.  I can't get there.
    I tried to make Apache start up as me (my user), but got an error that said that it cannot start it up like that.  I think I have a possible solution for the given problem.  I'll my user to the http group and then work from /srv/http.
    I'd love to get some feedback if someone has a different approach .  I love to learn from the experience of others .

  • How to define a virtual directory for 1virtual server?

    Hi there,
    The last part is always the hardest. I succesfully converted my Apache configuration to the SunONE setup but one section and I fail to grasp where I'm going wrong...
    SunONE Webserver 6.1SP5, I have quite a few virtual servers divided over several virtual classes. And now I'm trying to configure a 'virtual directory' (pfx2dir nametrans) limited to a single virtual server but no matter what I try I can't get it to work...
    In the administration guide I read about the NameTrans directive and how it should be used in the default object (in obj.conf ofcourse). So when I have something like this all works as it should, but for all virtual servers in the class:
    <Object name="default">
    NameTrans fn="pfx2dir" from="/files" dir="/opt/websites/catslair/data"
    </Object>So when reading up even more I came across the NSAPI programmers guide which explained that you can have both <Object> and <Client> tags. Because of the 'urlhost' parameter with the Client tag I figured that it should be possible to limit the NameTrans line mentioned above to but one virtual server:
    <Client urlhost="catslair.intranet.lan">
    NameTrans fn="pfx2dir" from="/files" dir="/opt/websites/catslair/data"
    </Client>But whenever I use this approach the server refuses to start and presents me with an error:
    [13/May/2006:16:38:10] config (19621): CORE3185: Invalid configuration: File /usr/local/sun/SUNWwbsvr/https-magi.intranet.lan/config/server.xml, line 178, column 99: HTTP3258: Error processing Mirrors.obj.conf line 51: HTTP2215: directive outside objectAt first I didn't understand exactly what it meant, I even stumbled upon a bug report which triggered the same error (http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4979377) but after reading up on this I can only conclude that NameTrans can only be used within an <Object> block. The manuals also hint into this direction since it becomes obvious that the preffered approach is using this in the default object.
    So picture my surprise when I came across http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6252/npgobjcn.html#wp1041206 in the NSAPI programmers guide, its past the table. One of the examples shows this approach:
    <Client odds="25%">
    NameTrans fn="redirect" from="/Pogues" url-prefix="http://pogues.example.com"
    </Client>Because I was sure about urlhost being a parameter for the Client tag I tried copying the above example, but when I give it a try I'm once again greeted with the error I mentioned earlier "directive outside object".
    So can anyone please point me in the right direction? Is it possible to setup a virtual directory for a single virtual server and if so how do I proceed since <Client> doesn't seem to work. thanks in advance for any tips you can give me.

    Thanks a lot for the example, that fixed the problem.
    I've been reading the NSAPI programmers guide several times now and I was under the impression that you should either use <object> or <client>, never thought about this approach. Now when I re-read it is makes sense, but wasn't very clear at first.
    I think I'll e-mail Sun to suggest an addition of the <Object> tag in their <Client> tag example (http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6252/npgobjcn.html#wp1045056) to make things a little more clear.
    Thanks again, now I can finally implement the final configuration settings and plan for the actual switch later this evening.
