Sap and crm,sap and sem.

hi sap gurus,
I am in australia and searching for jobs in sap bw field.I came across a lot of situations like the clients want sap bw with strong knowledge in  CRM AND also SAP BW with strong knowledge of SEM.But i have knowledge in sap bw,sd,mm.
can any body have any idea how the  link works  sap bw and crm and also sap bw and SEM.
please help me in this aspect.

Hi Narendra;
The other functionalities on SAP you have mentions are different tools developed by sap.
for example: SEM(Strategic Enterprise Mgt) also has different functionalities inside it like BPS, BCS, CPM..etc. Most probably they are referring to BPS because its a planning tool and from 3.5 version of BW onwards its integrated with BW boxes. You will be dealing with planning data..transactional cube.
try going: http://service.sap.com/sem
CRM(Customer Relationtionship Mgt) here you will be working with data to mange the relation of the customer in the industries...and they might have requirements that you need to bring the data from CRM to BW for reporting...http://service.sap.com/crm
Hope this helps.

  • Using SOAP for integration of salesforce and crm sap

    Hi All,
I have to integrate CRM SAP and salesforce in order to sync the business partner data real time.
I learnt from articles that in this process CRM XIF adapter will be used. Also I learnt integration can be brought using either IDOCS or XML messages.
From where can i get help for developing SOAP interfaces?
How is the process going to look like?
I am very new to SAP.I am on my own on this assignment.I would really appreciate ur support.

You should do a search on the XIF IDOC adapter in the CRM general and framework forum.  If you need more details on how to set this up, you can also read the documentation of the function module
    CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE
Or look in the IMG at:
CRM -> CRM Middleware ->Exchanging data with External components ->XIF Adapter Setup

  • Calls between salesforce and crm sap using jco

    Hi,
    My requirement is as follows:
Tight integration of SFDC and SAP CRM in order to make Business Partners in sync across the systems. This will be a two way integration wherein any changes made to any business partner must be reflected in the other system upon batch/ real-time execution.
I am currently using jco to interact with the crm sap system.
What am i supposed to do from salesforce side in order to make the 2 systems talk?

  • Difference between SAP Business Workflow and CRM Workflow

    Hello guys,
Is there any difference between SAP Business Workflow and CRM Workflow?
Are there others workflows types in SAP?
In all SAP Workflow Courses (BIT600, BIT601, BIT603, BIT610) only was talked about SAP Business Workflow, and nothing about CRM Workflow.
    Thanks a lot!
    Kleber

    Hello Kleber,
There is not much of the differance between CRM workflows and SAP Business  workflows..
Workflows are esentially part of Basis (BC) components and hence its the same across all SAP products as all these products have components of Basis(BC) in them...
To Conclude, SAP Busines workflows and CRM workflows are the same things... However when you work on CRM, the BOR objects would be belonging to CRM and not to ECC... However conceptwise , there in no change at all.. If you learn BIT100......, you can also work on CRM workflows..

  • Vendor Number Range Conflict SAP ECC and CRM 2007

I need to load SAP ECC Vendor data from SAP to CRM and have setup most of the configuration as required. However I have an issue, the vendor number range used currently in our SAP system is already in use in our CRM system and has been for some time (for Prospects and Contacts).  What is the best approach to dealing with this issue...
My initial thought was to see if we could have two different numbers for the same vendor in ECC and SAP CRM
eg SAP Vendor "50000001" equates to CRM "VEN50000001"
Is such as approach supported?  Can you point me to the documentation that shows how such an approach could be implemented.  What approaches have others done to address similar issues?
    Thanks in advance
    Eddie
By the way we are on CRM 2007 sp4

    Hi Eddie,
SAP Note 1044637 - Customize Vendor Numbers
Implement the code present in the attachment. You can
change it according to your own requirements. The example code
suffixes 'VEND' before the first six digits of the vendor
number before it is downloaded to CRM.

  • Header Partners not flowing into items in SAP CRM order and the same in ERP

    Hi SAP Experts,
Our SAP CRM is upgraded from 4.0 to 7.0 version and ECC5.0 to ECC6.0 as well  last year.
Initially , when the order is created in SAP CRM , the partners (sold to , ship to , payer and bill to ) are flowing to all items(same as header) and the same is transferring into ECC6.0 at header and items. Now if the partners are changed at header in CRM then those are not propagating to items and in ECC 6.0 at the header the partners are synchronized but at  the items partners are not synchronizing(showing the same old values).
Can anyone provide solution for this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards
    Succhi

    Hello Screedhar,
From your description, seems that the cross system lock is not set up correctly in your system.
Please check SAP note 888665 which talks about how to set the cross system lock.
    Best regards,

    Nimrod
    hi ,
answering to ur second point - both are middleware .
with xi as a middleware ( when compared to crm middleware) xi/pi can communicate with both sap and non sap systems . when u say non sap  communication its means communication with http, soap , jdbc( any data base) , file systems, web services etc . further advantage would be that with xi (in place crm system) within the overall landscape can be part of automation process called bussiness process management or process integration(BPM/PI).
while sap crm middleware caters to only sap communication (idocs, bdocs, rfcs, bapi).
further when sap crm middleware used either the sender sysytem or reciever system has to be sap crm .  when xi is used the sender or reciever could be ANY system .

  • Integrate the Org structure and employees SAP HR system to CRM via ALE

    Hi All,
We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
    1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
    2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
    3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??
Please get back, suitable points will be awarded.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Hi Ritvij,
Couple of things that spring to mind are:
    1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
    2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
    3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
I will update when other stuff springs to mind.
    Cheers

  • Sap ISU and CRM

We are implementing SAP ISU with Billing and Invoicing, next step would be the implementation of CRM for Utilities.  In a part we are using the installation guide of Best Practices for Water Utilities, which presuppose the implementation of CRM. My question is the following: is it possible to do the implementation of billing and invoicing in ERP and afterwards move the billing and invoicing to CRM, without any big efforts?
    Thanks in advance
    Maja

    Maja,
The IS-U billing engine sits in the SAP for Utilities system. Today, there is not such a thing in the CRM system you can use to do the same. Same it is for invoicing, bill print etc. not to speak of FI-CA. You can't even replicate these objects to CRM.
The Water Template is not referring to such a thing. It is only levelling he way to a replication the standard objects, such as, business partner, from the ERP system to the CRM system.
I hope this answers your question.
    Kind regards,
    Fritz

  • Difference between CRM Analytics and SAP BW

    Hi Shoukath,
The ERP system communicates with SAP CRM using CRM Middleware.
Please find the below link for more details on CRM Middle ware
    [CRM Middleware|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/76/5ea438c42a5b2ce10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm]
    Where as
PI is a middleware like many others. It is well suited for connecting SAP systems with each other and with non-SAP.If your focus is not on SAP systems, other solutions might be a better choice today. SAP XI provides an integrated workflow engine that allows to define adapters to non-XML-protocols and mappings to convert data content from source to target.
Process integration provides the infrastructure for business applications, that run in distributed systems. Process integration acts as the messaging middleware for service communication(both SAP and Non-SAP), connectivity, transformation and portability.
Applications can also be connected directly with Web services (including the Web Service Reliable Messaging standard).

  • File system for SAP ECC, EP , BI and CRM installation on Solaris/DB2

    Hello,
We are going to implement SAP ECC 6.0 with EP 7, BI and CRM on Solaris operating system with IBM DB2 database.
All these applications are going to be installed on single server, as being a basis person, I know this is not all recommended.
But due to client's requirement and keeping cost factor in mind I need to install all these application on single box.
Now here I need your help. as I basis person, I know the required Solaris file system for SAP ECC 6.0 but not having any Idea about other application like EP/ CRM and BI .
If anyone able to help me with required Solaris file system. it will be great help.
Please let me know if there is any query.
    Thanks.

    > All these applications are going to be installed on single server, as being a basis person, I know this is not all recommended.
    > But due to client's requirement and keeping cost factor in mind I need to install all these application on single box.
Why not using Solaris zones/container? This decreases the administrative amount tremendeously since you will deal as with "single machines" but they all run together on one box.
    > Now here I need your help. as I basis person, I know the required Solaris file system for SAP ECC 6.0 but not having any Idea about other application like EP/ CRM and BI .
So you'd need to read the installation guides

  • Difference between SAP MI and CRM Mobile Sales

    hi experts,
we need to understand difference between SAP MI and CRM mobiles sales solutions. what are SAP's  recommendations: where to use MI and where to use Mobile sales.
can some of you explain the pros and cons of each solution or let me know the place where i get such info.
    thanks in advance.
    RH

SAP MI apps are aimed at PDAs while CRM Mobile Sales is aimed (and can only work with) at laptops.
PDA solutions are mostly used by sales agents while the laptop solution is more suitable to account managers. The laptop has much more information available that includes:
    - Marketing planning and execution capabilities
    - Account Planning
    - BW Reporting
Mobile Sales for PDAs has more basic functionalities like order & activity management and business partner data maintenance (which are also included in the laptop version).
