i've been going through the REAL ESTATE SALES component under SAP ECO (engineering construction and operations).
i've tried searching for best practices regarding real estate sales for a demo example scenario, but was unable to find on the help portal.....kindly advise where can i find it.

Error while executing demo scenario ProxyToProxy (for SAP PI 7.1)

I've try to execute demo scenario ProxyToProxy (from Simple Use Cases (SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1) at Getting Started With Service Bus-Based Integration [original link is broken] ). I call transaction SXIPATT1, enter suitable data and click "Send". In result, error message "OBJECT_IS_NO_PROXY Object CLASS_NAME CO_SXIPAT_XI_PATTERN_IF2_OUT is not a proxy object" displayed. Can you help me to resolve this problem?

I get the same exact error.
I went to SPROXY transaction. I can not figure out where to find message interface and how to activate it. Can you please give me steps. Like which menu I should go under to see that option?
Help will be greatly appreciated. I an a newbie and spent too much time could not figure this out myself.

XI demo scenarios for SAP ECC 6.0

I succesfully installed SAP ECC 6.0 (IDES with several clients) and would like to implement some simple XI demo scenarios in order to interchange the data from one client into another client via XI.
What is the best Getting Started scenario and where can I found the documentation therefore?

According to me , the simple scenario to start with will be File to Proxy.
Search on SDN as to how to configure Sender file adapter ( use this link [Configuring the sender file Adapter|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm] )
and then search how to configure Receiver XI Adapter to communicate with R3 system ( use this link [Configuring Receiver XI Adapter|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm] )

Demo Scenario's in IR

Hello all,
When I log into my Integration Repository I see a demo scenario called: SAP SRM Server 5.5 with several namespaces for e.g. http://sap.com/xi/EBP
What I want to know is, if there are guides for the Integration Scenario's and Integration Processes which describe the meaning and if there are guides on HowTo configure the scenario's in the Integration Directory.

I have to make webservice (oracle erp applications) to SAP PI to SAP R/3 scenario.
1. If I make Outbound Interface with 2 fields in SAP PI. Publish its Webservice in Service Registry and then
    send its WSDL URL to oracle erp applications system team.
Question --oracle erp team is asking me how they will call my webservice with 2 parameters so that JDBC Table which has 2
                  fields can be passed to my webservice and its parameters.
2. If I use JDBC sender adapter scenario --     Please let me know if am doing the things fine
    a. Oracle erp System driver to install at SAP PI system
    b. Connection, host name etc. information will be provided by ERP team that I will use in JDBC sender adapter

Thanks for reply.
We have a scenario of mapping a water balance in system.
There are few sources of water and few points where the water will be consumed. The equation would be to sum up water collected at all the sources and deduct consumption amount from it. Balance would be opening for next day.
Can you please help me mapping this scenario?
Is there any standard scenario / demo scenario for water balance and Energy foot print available? If so, where can I find the same?

Hi Vikram,
If the MSS (manager Self Service) packages are deployed in your portal, you will be able to use the PCR (Personnel change Request) Forms. You can submit the forms and the approvals can be prorperly routed using the Worlkflow.
There are a list of standard PCR forms provided by SAP. Please do look into them for a demo.
At the R/3 end, you will get the details of these PCR forms (ISR - Internal Service Requests), using the transaction - QISRSCENARIO.

Demos scenarios and config based on what kind of company?

We are still trying to make a case for buying the Discovery Server. My management has come back to me with a question.
What kind of industry are the demos that are included with the Discovery server based on?
example - Finance and Public Service( banking; healthcare; insurance ...); Manufacturing ( Consumer Products; chemical ...) or Service (Media; Professional; retail...)

the examples on the Discovery System v2 are keep quite generic on purpose. It was the intention to offer content that has some sort of cross-industry relevance. Thus the Service-Enabled Procurement Scenario could be relevant for any industry that needs to do some purchases.
And there are a number of composites that are targeted for end-users specifically, that try to improve their 'every day life' (SAP xApp Analytics and SAP xApps for Personal Productivity).

Webservice creation for SAP XI/PI Scenarios

Hi,
How can I develop A simple Webservice for any scenario, for example, if am doing File to file copy scenario,So I want to develop a Webservice for the same scenario,
I want to develop webservices for the entire Scenario, for this I am Using Microsoft Visual Studio.
I Shall Create a Form/Page for UI to select the source file, and when I trigger the Copy button, the service should execute the backend SAP XI Scenario and the file should get copied.
How should i proceed to develop the Webservice?

Do you mean to say that you can't change the existing FILE-PI-FILE scenario to Webservice-PI-FILE scenario on PI box?
If yes, then you just need to create a UI to copy the file in the source file folder as specified in FILE adapter settings and set the FILE adapter poll interval. It will keep polling the file source file directory and pick the file from there.
Am I missing something here?
And also can you tell me what do you mean when you say "service"? You want it to be invoked following some user action? I guess it would be difficult to directly trigger the PI excecution when you have file adapter at both the end.

SAP-XI-Webservice scenario

Hi,
I have following scenario: SAP triggers a proxy to XI which calls a webservice. Right now proxy from SAP reaches XI, however i get following error when trying to consume the web service on third party server : com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection closed by remote host.
This is a secure webservice for which we have done neccessary configuration on XI side. Not sure if this error is because of something missing in the configuration or something else.
The target url in SOAP adapter which points to the wsdl is viewable in browser.
Please advise.

ISE NFR kit is a preconfigured VM. How to integrate it on existing demo scenario?

Just got an ISE NFR kit.
I actually thought that this would just as any other Cisco product where you get a license that will limit your amount of registered devices.
Instead we get a preconfigured VM, tuned and tweaked to work on a corp.rf-demo domain.
The problem that I have that will lead to my question is:
- I have set up a fairly complex scenario using ISE on Evaluation license, using own lab/demo infrastructure, meaning specific DNS, AD, PKI, etc.
- from past tests I have discovered that ISE will NOT accept you changing the FQDN of the machine on the CLI, as internal variable substitution is done based on the initial setup FQDN - for instance for CWA or CPP URL redirection.
- I'd really like to simply license the scenario I already have so that it become part of our somewhat permanent demo showroom.
My questions are:
- is it possible to simply get a NFR license that you can install on a VM, and turn an Eval deployment into an NFR one? Cisco Licensing just told me that the NFR part number is non-licenseable. Does anybody have another idea?
- instead, is it possible to successfully change the FQDN name of the ISE NFR VM into whatever FQDN we need it to be, in case I do find the time to rebuild the entire configuration in this VM?
I have tried adding the NFR VM into my existing deployment as a secondary Admin node, but its license just got overriden by the eval one, as it should.
I'm assuming that if I backup the existing deployment and restore it to the NFR VM, the license will also get overriden. Can anybody confirm?

1) Is it possible to customise the NFR version of ISE?
2) would we be able to get an extended evaluation license, both base and advanced, to apply to our lab ISE node.?
ISE NFR 1.2 software - logging not working after changingIP address of ISE. It is not possible to delete the "Remote Logging Targets" which includes itself and the IP address 10.1.100.21. Please advise on how to customize.
