Could you please let me know some details about EHP4. And SD point of view what are the advantages for using EHP4 rather than using ECC 6.0 version. Please provide me the functional advantages while working on EHP4.

for project reasons, we would like to enhance the package ''load transactional data for BW infoprovider UI'. To be more precisely, we want to add some dimensions to the method of data transfer 'replace & clear datavalues'. Now the system clears the data that mirror each entity/category/time/datasource. With only those dimensions, we cannot be precise enought, so in our case the system clears too many data. We want to be able to extend this with some dimensions.
Is there any way this can be adapted ?

for a more precise delete you should execute first a clear and after import using Merge option.

Install Enhancement Packages 1 on SAP Solution Manager server

Anybody know if is it possible to install SAP Enhancement Package 1 on SAP Solution Manager 7.0?
There is a component named BBPCRM 500 SP12 stopped me to continue the installation via SAPEhpi.

BBPCRM 500 is part of Solution Manager 7.0 and 7.0+EHP1. But please check the update guide. It states that "SAP Solution Manager is updated to EHP 1 using transaction SAINT and Java Support Package Manager." So not via SAP Enhancement Package Installer as EHP for SAP Netweaver.

How to check if enhancement package 3 is installed for the ECC6 installation?
From sytstem->status you can the currently installed software components and there SPs.
You can also use SPAM transaction.
How to check which functionalities are activated and which ones are not?
With each enhancement pack many functionalties are delivered for various modules and software components. NOw based on requirement you can activate the corresponding business switch.
You can use transaction SFW5 to check the business function status. You can also read release note from here, which will explain all the functionalties introduced.
You can use transaction SFW1 and SFW2 for viewing switch framework and business function.
for e.g., With EHP3 new functionalties are released for HCM - ESS .
Here Business Functionis HCM_ESS_CI_1 and Switches is HRESS_SFWS_UI_ENH_01.

It is needed to connect this system with solution manager and create stack.xml using
maintanance optimizer. The main aim of this is to let you know what usage types/ functionalities are to be
selected from stack.xml.
It is also needed to download all the required support packs/ addons using maintanance optimizer.
If you have DVDs containing the same product that matches with stack.xml, you can provide them.
But the safest way is is to give all the tasks to solution manager , It will create , and download neccesary sps, addons to your
download basket.

Yes but that is the Business Suite, and according to [this|SAP Enhancement Package 2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0], the SAP NW 7.0 Enhancement Package 2 should be availabel now. So hopefully we will get the a developper and/or trial version soon ?

Installation of Enhancement Package 1 in SAP NetWeaver 7.0

We have install the Enhancement Package 4 in the server ECC 6.0 with EHP3.
But, before we need install the Enhancement Package 1 in SAP NetWeaver 7.0
The actual Kernel is releae 700 level 185.
We download the kernel 701 for Windows 64 unicode with SQL, and we install in the system, when we start sap the part java don't started the process sapcpe.exe "could not be started" .
We have tried with the kernel 15 and 23 of release 701, but this don't ok.
We can connect to the part ABA and JAVA, but the Kernel isn't update, and in the console of sap the process sapcpe.exe is in red with the message could not be started"

Because when we import the packages of ECC 6.0 EPH4, the system return the error:
"OCS package SAPK-701DHINSAPBASIS requires at least Kernel Release 701 with patch number
0000"
And the package SAPK-701DHINSAPBASIS is a prerequisite for import the package with the release 604 (ehp4).
The package that we need import is:

Since there is nothing available concerning a RampUp for 7.1 EHP2 I'd guess the next release is 7.3 which will be available at the end of the month (may).

SAP America has scheduled Enhancement Package Installation class.

Hello Everyone,
ADM327 is a 2 day class.
This class had not been scheduled for a while but was recently put on the schedule in Chicago on May 17-18. There are only 2 registered people, myself included. I would like to encourage a few more people so that the class is not cancelled.
This would be of interest if several years have passed since you did an upgrade since it uses much the same methodology.

Yes, there is EHP1 for Netweaver 7.0 but SAP is just requesting customers for the Ramp Up phase.
It means, it's too early to get a date for general availability.

Language Packages for SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 (NW 7.01)

I have installed EHP4 + NW 7.01 on a running ERP 6.0 system with SAPEhpI.
Now I am not really sure if the implemented languages are also "upgraded" successfully.
The following languages are implemented additionally:
Serbian (latin)
Slovakian
Ukrainien
Romanian
Hungarian
1st question:
When I execute SMLT, there I can see the languages with a green traffic light.
But when I look in the "Detail Information" I can see some warnings (screenshot: http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/2291/ehp4system.jpg) for example:
"System component: EA-APPL 604 <- 600".
Is the language-part of this component still on release 600?
In cause of that I have to implement the specific packages?
2nd question:
I also execute the report "RSTLAN_IMPORT_OCS" in SE38.
Here it displays some "red marked" components which I must implement and some "yellow marked" components which I could import for this language.
The red marked components are sometimes old releases for example ST-PI 2005 but 2008 is already installed.
Is it needed that I reimplement all of this displayed packages for the language?

Please kindly check the SAP note 1402868.
This note refers to language on EHP4.
After the EHP, some packages are delivered, and for those packages, the
Language Supplementation is required.
Please refer to the sap attached note 330104.
This note explains about the packages that need supplementation after
the EHP.

Cluster for SAP ERP 6.0

Hi,
My enterprise plans to use SAP ERP 6.0. System will it is torn on a cluster from 2 nodes. As OS we plan to use Windows 2008 R2. For cluster development I use the document "Installation Guide SAP ERP 6.0 - EHP4 Ready ABAP on Windows: Oracle
(Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 1) ".
In chapter 7.3.4"Installing the Central Services Instance for ABAP (ASCS)" for creation of cluster group it is underlined:
k) Right-click the service and application SAP <SAPSID>.
l) Choose Add a resource Add File Server.
m) Double-click New File Server.
n) In the New File Server Properties window, change the Resource Name from New File Server into SAP <SAPSID> FileServer.
Problems in that in the parameter list "Add File Server" in the menu "Add a resource" is not present. The server possesses such role, nevertheless "Add File Server" in the list misses.
How to me in that case to fulfill requirements on creation service and application SAP <SAPSID>?
P.S. All updates on ноды a cluster are installed

I'm afraid that you have used Windows Server 2008 R2 which is yet to be supported by SAP ([Reference|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1383873]).
Check whether you have the cluster configured at the OS level and also check whether you are able to resolve the IP address of the cluster nodes from your virtual host.
If needed get help from your network admin and carry out the necessary checks for a clustered environment at the OS/network level.

Cannot download SPS15 for SAP ERP 6.0 from MOPZ

Hello gurus,
I need your help. I am planning to upgrade my ECC 6.0 system to EhP4 SPS3, but for this I need to update my system first from its current level of SPS09 to SPS15 (SP Level equivalent of EhP4 SPS03), so for this I want to download SPS15 from maintenance optimizer for my system EC2 which is an ERP 6.0.
There are two update options, right: Maintenance and Enhancement Package Installation. I chose maintenance, and then clicked next. But all i see is the following:
TArget Enhancement Package Version: SAP ERP EhP4 / NW7.01
Target enhancement package stack: SAP ERP EhP4 on NW7.01 - SP Stack (02-09)
But all i want to download is SPS15. How can I proceed?
Please advise.
