Sap.m.ActionSelect turn of no data text

Hi Folks,
I have a ActionSelect control in my Master.View.XML. I need an onClick or onPress event if a user clicks on a item. The ActionSelect only supports onChange (as far as I know). That's why I decided to use Buttons.
The problem is, that the ActionSelect shows a "No Data" item which looks disgusting.
I've tried to add a dummy item and hide it, but the item doesn't support the visible option.
All I want is a nice list with click events for mobile and desktop clients.
I am fine with a solution by one of these workarounds:
How can I attach an onClick event to a sap.ui.core.item element?
How can I change the Visibility from a sap.ui.core.item element? (It's not even possible to hide it with CSS because the ID  isn't set correctly for the <span> tag.
How can I turn off the "No Data" text of a ActionSelect
Is there a similar control like sap.m.ActionSelect which I could use?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello Tim,
Have a look into the below link
JS Bin - Collaborative JavaScript Debugging&lt;/title&gt; &lt;link rel=&quot;alternate&quot; type=&quot;application/jso…
Here in this link it supports a press function associated to the sap.m.ActionList
As far as documentation is concerned JsDoc Report - SAP UI development Toolkit for HTML5 - API Reference - sap.m.ActionSelect , It doesn't have a a press event as you rightly said,
You can either extend the controls or create your own custom control  based on your requirement,

Hope It helps,

  • Can I turn off cellular data but still text?

I just got billed for a $113 phone bill, all because of data. I don't travel, so it isn't roaming. Can I turn off cellular data but still text? I have free texting (plan) so I want to be able to text without wifi, but whenever I go onto games or anything without wifi, it says "turn on cellular data" or something similar, with two options (Okay, and Settings) I tap okay and exit the game, but it still charges me and it turns cellular on for the game. I don't want to continue getting charged for cellular games and such, but I still want texting. Is there anyway to get that?

Next time click Settings. Clicking OK is telling the message that you want to "turn on Cellular Data".
And again, did you look in Settings>Cellular under the "Use Cellular Data" section to see if your games show up in that list?

  • SAP - BI -Time dependent Master data texts

    Hi expert,
We want to modify one of our master data text to time dependent. What will be the impact to the InfoProviders?
    Thanks

The infoproviders won't be impacted.  However, your queries and the infosource/datasource will be impacted.
You will need to add in the DATETO and DATEFROM values in your infosource and datasource to use the time dependency.  When you run a query it will select only the text values where the key date falls between the DATETO and DATEFROM values.
The key date is normally the day you run the query on -- unless it is changed in the query properties.

  • I have to turn off mobile data to connect to public wifi!?

I have found with my phone that to connect to public wifi in places such as my local bar or where I work, that I have to turn off mobile data in settings to connect to the wifi.
These are wifi hotspots where you have to create a free account to use them, and when you try to connect to them in wifi settings in iOS, when they connect, a little browser screen appears. If mobile data is turned off, then the broswer window will show a welcome screen or message saying connected (dpending on which spot Im connecting to), however if Data isn't turned off, the browser screen just does nothing or I get the apple.com screen with a small text message saying success, then disconnects me from the wifi!
It wasn't so much an issue before because, in wifi settings for each hotspot I had options for auto-login and auto-join which allowed me not to have to keep reconnecting, however since updating to iOS6, these have changed and its been a nightmare since. This is because these spots tend to kick you off after 20-30mins and then you have to reconnect (which you can understand having to turn off mobile data everytime to do so is annoying).
Ive noticed that my friends with other iphones, regardless of network, don't have to do this - so why is it an issue for me, or I was wondering if anybody else had the same problem or a fix/solution? And where did the auto-login option from the wifi settings go?

After much googling for the past few hours, I think I finally found the answer to my problem. Apparently if you have the Onavo app along with the profile it installs, that interferes with connecting to Cisco based wifi hotspots, and the only way around it is the method I used above by turning off mobile data!
    https://getsatisfaction.com/onavo/topics/cant_connect_to_hotspot
    https://getsatisfaction.com/onavo/topics/onavo_prevents_from_being_able_to_conne ct_to_public_wifi_hotspots_that_have_terms_of_use_agreements
I have uninstalled the app and profile, and will see if that fixes the issue tomorrow when Im at work

  • It's my understanding that when traveling overseas, all i have to do is turn off cellular data to avoid high data charges.

it's my understanding that when traveling overseas, all i have to do is turn off cellular data to avoid high data charges.

With Airplane Mode you will not receive phone calls.  If you are just worried about Data Charges then just go to Settings>Cellular>Data 'Off'  This may also turn your iMessage off such that all your iMessages even in a WiFi environment go out as Text Messages.  If you still want to use iMessage from Apple device to Apple device in a WiFi network then go to Settings>Messages> and turn it back on after you have set Cellular Data to Off.  Ckuan is correct though about having some per minute received or outgoing call and text charges.  For one example, if you were traveling in Canada but didn't have a Canada Plan you would pay about 89 cents per minute and 50 cents per send / receive Text.

  • I'm using a TravelSIM to make calls home to Australia on my iPhone 4S while I'm overseas. Do I need to change settings, or do anything else, to make sure I don't pay too much?  eg turn off push data - what else?

I'm using a TravelSIM to make calls and texts home to Australia on my iPhone 4S while I'm overseas. Do I need to change settings, or do anything else, to make sure I don't pay too much?
I have advice to turn off push data and don't use Google maps
Are there other things I should do so my costs will be kept low?
thanks for any answers from experienced iPhone using travellers!
    kind regards,   Di

It's not entirely impossible actually as someone has pointed out to me that I can turn on Call Forwarding and that stops any incoming calls. I've just forwarded it to my google voice number and then turned on "do not disturb" in google voice and whenever I get a call it goes straight to my google voice voicemail and my phone does nothing. The only thing now is I still get text messages but I think the phone calls bugged me more because they would make my music turn off for much longer.
Even though this isn't a perfect solution it's something so far so maybe you shouldn't just come out and say there's NOTHING I can do because so far I've found part of a solution. If you don't have anyting productive to say then just don't reply and close the tab. Thanks.
At this point I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Jailbreak tweaks that can enable what I want. Unless of course it's agaisnt the rules of this forum to mention jailbreak stuff...

  • Master data texts in the list of totals records

    Dear all,
I am trying to display master data texts when doing a List of Totals records, but it is not available.
In my former projects, I always had the possibility to display master data texts by default.
Is there any configuration option that I should customize to solve the issue ?
    Many thanks for your help

yes but as mentioned several times on EHP topics, you can implement the EHP but you must then also activate the function in transaction SFW5 (FIN_ACC_GROUP_CLOSE)

  • SID table in the general tab and master data/text tab

    Hello Bi Experts,
      For example 0material Info-object:
There is a SID table in the general tab i.e /BI0/SCOMP_CODE
There is another  SID table Attribute  in the master data/text tab i.e /BI0/XCOMP_CODE,here there are Nav attributes with name S__0COMPANY.
When i got 0company info-object it got its own SID table i.e /BI0/SCOMPANY
Can some body explain me what is significance of SID table Attribute  in the master data/text tab and what is difference with SID Table of attribute?
    Cheers,
    Stalin

    Hi,
SID is surrogate ID generated by the system. The SID tables are created when we create a master data IO. In SAP BW star schema, the distinction is made between two self contained areas: Infocube & master data tables/SID tables.
The master data doesn't reside in the satr schema but resides in separate tables which are shared across all the star schemas in SAP BW. A numer ID is generated which connects the dimension tables of the infocube to that of the master data tables.
The dimension tables contain the dim ID and SID of a particular IO. Using this SID the attributes and texts of an master data Io is accessed.
The SID table is connected to the associated master data tables via teh char key
Sid Tables are like pointers in C
    Tables Starting with  Description:
M - View of master data table
Q  - Time Dependent master data table
    H - Hierarchy table
    K - Hierarchy SID table
    I  - SID Hierarchy structure
    J  - Hierarchy interval table
    S  - SID table
Y  - Time Dependent SID table
    T  - Text Table
        F  - Fact Table - Direct data for cube ( B-Tree Index )
    E  - Fact Table - Compress cube ( Bitmap Index )

  • Master Data Text for Infoobject Plant Section

    Hi Experts,
I've changed the standard Infoobject of Plant Section (0PLANTSECTN), so the master data (text & attribute) is active now.
My question is: Does SAP BW provide the standard business content for master data of 0PLANTSECTN?
Coz i've checked it on RSA5, but the datasource is not exist.
Thanks for helping, hope you could give me some enlightenment
    Warm Regards,
    Tika

    Thanks for ur answer Swapnil..
So the only thing i can do is create a custom DS and load the data (text) via Flat File? Or is there any way else to load the master data text?
As I know, loading data from flat file is only can be done manually. The problem is, i have to make sure, that data in BW is always relevance with data in ECC. Hence, i need the standard DS. So i could load it directly from ECC.
Am very appreciate, if any of u could share the best way.
    Thanks

  • Info-object Maintenance -- Master Data/Texts Tab options

    Hello Bi Gurus,
    In BI 7.o:
    Path:
    Info-object Maintenance -->Master Data/Texts Tab -->Master Data infoSource/Data Taget/Infoprovider/Master Data Read Access.
    Scenario 1:
    1. Master Data Access - Own Implementation
Name of Master Data Access -
CL_RSMD_RS_SPEC     class for accessing generic Bw special info objects
CL_RSR_XLS_TABF4     Table Master Data Read Class
CL_RSROA_LOCAL_MASTERDATA     Master Data for Virtual Characteristics
CL_RSMD_RS_BW_SPEC     Base class for accessing Bw special info objects
CL_RSMD_RS_SPEC_TXT     Class for Accessing Generic BW-Specific InfoObjects
Under what scenairo we go for this option?
    Any body used this option?
    Scenario 2:
    1. Master Data Access - Direct Access
Name of Master Data Access - CL_RSR_REMOTE_MASTERDATA
Under what scenairo we go for this option?
    Any body used this option?

    Hi,
    With Master Data:
If you set this indicator, the characteristic may have attributes. In this case the system generates a P table for this characteristic. This table contains the key of the characteristic and any attributes that might exist. It is used as a check table for the SID table. When you load transaction data, there is check whether there is a characteristic value in the P table if the referential integrity is used.
With Maintain Master Data you can go from the main menu to the maintenance dialog for processing attributes.
The master data table can have a time-dependent and a time-independent part.
In attribute maintenance, determine whether an attribute is time-dependent or time independent.
    With Texts:
Here, you determine whether the characteristic has texts.
If you want to use texts with a characteristic, you have to select at least one text. The short text (20 characters) option is set by default but you can also choose medium-length texts (40 characters) or long texts (60 characters).

  • Master data/text of characteristic 0MATERIAL already deleted

    Dear BW Experts:
I'm getting this error message when I tried an extraction into an infocube.
"Master data/text of characteristic 0MATERIAL already deleted"
Before the extraction, I've loaded the characteristic 0MATERIAL succesfully.
Can anyone help me? any clues?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi All,
We have also received the "Master Data has been deleted" error message. If you delete (or try to delete) the master data for a characterstic, you will get this error message for the next transaction data load. Just mark the failed request to red and back it out from the data targets and then try loading the data again, this time you will not get any error message.
It will only give that error message for the first load after the deletion of master data.
Now coming to the second point. How to delete the master data?
As all of you know, we delete the master data by selecting delete master data from the context menu of an infoobject. This deletes all the master data records that are not currently being used in any of the infoproviders, hierarchies etc. In the system log (transaction SLG1), it will show what are all the records that got deleted and if a record is not deleted it will let you know where that master data is being used.
Now the problem with deleteing master data in this way is, this runs in dialogue mode and if the no of infoproviders and data volume in those infoproviders is huge it will take very long long time to complete you will get a time out message. There is a function module "RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA" , to run this in background you need to create a ABAP program and migrate it all the way to Production and run it in production.
Luckily, there is a SAP delivered ABAP program which we can use to delete master data. That program is "RSDMD_DEL_BACKGROUND", run this program in back ground with the input parameters as mentioned below.
    P_IOBJNM - Infoobject name.
    P_CHABNM - Infoobject name.
    P_DELSID - X
    P_DELTXT - X
    P_OBJ  - RSDMD
    P_SUB  - MD_DEL
    P_EXT - MDDEL_Infoobject name_BG
You can verify in system log, which records got dleted and which are not deleted.

Anyway. I opened a oss message with SAP and they confirmed that RSA1OLD don't work but can only work with RSA1.  The problem is at RSA1OLD and when you check dataflow in RSA1OLD, it gives error, while in RSA1, it works.  SAP is working on this.  Assume that they would correct it later.
