SAP Mobile 7.1 post installation activities

Hi,
I have installed SAP Mobile 7.1 ABAP stack.
can any help in locating the post installation steps to activate the mobile contents?
I followed the steps given in the installation guide.
after that I tried to carry out the basic steps like "Create an Administrator Profile" as in the help document under http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/45/1b199aa3f021a1e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
I am unable to locate the roles mentioned there SAP_DOE_ADMINISTRATOR, SAP_DOE_TECH_ADMIN.
I believe I have missed some steps to activate the mobile contents.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ram.

Hi Ram,
if I get yur issue right, you do ask for the installation parameters you need to enter.
I simply istalled the usual ABAP stack - once you have done that, run the function SDOE_WB for example. If that is available, you have done everything fine.
There is not really an MI stack you can select in the installaiton window.
And once you have done that, and SDOE_WB is accessible, please run TRX SDOE_SR for the post installation process.
Furthernore you will find a guid on all necessary steps for post inst here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/45/17a790d8000064e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
Hope that helps!

Oliver

Once you are done with downloading the BP's, visit this weblog and you can configure ESS BP on your system.

  • Post Installation Activities after BW 7.31 system copy

    Hi,
Need to know the post Installation activity after BW 7.31 system copy.We plan to build a new QA system from our Development BW 7.31.
What should be the sequence of steps I need to follow?
Is it BDLS,SM59 & then RSA1?How should we manage the source system creation in RSA1?Do we restore or delete the old source system & create the new?

    Thanks Bala for the link..
There is 1 step in the link
    se37
    Function: RSAP_BIW_DISCONNECT
    Parameter   I_BIW_LOGSYS                  <<SLOGSYS>>
                          I_OLTP_LOGSYS                <<RLOGSYS>>
                          I_FORCE_DELETE              X

  • Add on installation (SAP GRC compliance calib) - Post installation question

    Hi,
I have installed Virsa RTA 5.1 on ECC 6.0. This is a brand new system and I have followed all the steps recommended by SAP. And after installation and activating the BC-sets, I was able to execute transactions for Role Expert and Compliance Calibrator in my 000 client. But when I logged onto a different client (let's say client 226.) I was able to execute transaction for role expert, and when I execute Compliance calibrator (/virsa/zvrat) nothing happens (the status bar says starting application Virsa CC and stops). It dosent even show any error. But as I said all the transactions are working fine in my 000 client. So am I missing any step here. Please help me in solving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Naveen

    Juan,
Thanks for your suggestion... but I already tried it and actually I figured it out by myself... it was the type of userID. I was using a service user to access CC in the other client i.e 226. This sounds wiered but when I changed the user type to Dialog it worked... Anyways thanks for taking your time on this..

    Hi Shriraj,
For configuring solution manager diagnostics in my landscape i used the following document available in service market place,
    "SAP Solution Manager 4.0 (SP10)
    End to End Diagnostic
Powered by SAP NetWeaver 04s SPS 11"
This document was very helpful and i successfully configured SMD.
Moreover you will have to download Willy Interoscope also.
Hope this will help you out.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Post-installation security activities

    Hello,
We have recently installed ERP 6.0 SR3 on DB2. As part of the post-installation activities, we don't see any activities which are relevant to SAP security and roles. We are not sure whether we suppose to do any type of Security and Roles related activities.
I would appreciate anybody can share their experience
    Best Regards,
    Kris

    > I would appreciate anybody can share their experience
I would recommend using DDIC for as little as possible, so that you only need to assign authorizations to the user during upgrades.
In particular, I would recommend against scheduling DDIC into any jobsteps or running any transactions which automatically schedule things, or create things, as all you will ever see is DDIC all over the place and you will have a tough time trying to get it back again.
This should be one of the first post-installation activities.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • SAP Enterprise Portal - Post Installation Tasks

    Hello everyone,
I am a beginner in the area of SAP Enterprise Portal. Please bear with me in case if I ask you stupid questions.
"Our idea is to deploy the BIW 3.5 IVIEW over the portal"
I have installed the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP6 on Windows 2000 server environment. I have followed the install guide and I have done the installation successfully. I am also able to logon to the portal server using the irl url http://sodium:5000/irj/portal as an Administrator.
As a BASIS administrator point of view, what are the next Post Installation activities that I need to perform?
(Our idea is to deploy the BIW 3.5 Iview over the portal)
    I really appreciate your responses.
    Thanks & regards,
    Nikee

    Hello Nikee,
Simply define the SAP BW system, add an Alias, import portal certificate (for SSO), and start creating functional iview that can render your BW queries and reports.
Create a System pointing to the BW server with the following details:
    a) System ID
    b) Client
    c) Web Access Point with "WAS" as category containing the following
    entries: -
    · Protocol
    · Hostname
Note: Domain name of WAS should be same as portal domain
    After that create BW iviews
QueryString is in the form "CMD=LDOC&infocube=myCube&query=myQuery"
You should have WAS on the BW server and also IGS shall also be present.

  • SCM Dialog instance installation, post installation activity for livecache

    Hi All,
We have installed SCM 7.0 Central instance with Livecache server. Now we have successfully installed additional application server (i.e. Dialog instance) for this SCM 7.0 system.
    We need to know
After installation of SCM 7.0 Dialog instance what are the post installation activities?
How we should integrate the livecache server with the Dialog instance which is installed on different hardware.
We need to know how livecache server understand that the additonal application server ? Is there anything to do in LC10?
    Please reply
    Thanks

    Hi Ashley,
    Thanks for your time.
Since i am installing app server, the SAP<SID> group will have to be online on this node. There is another group containing shared drives for components for livecache. This is also required to be online on node 2 for app server installation.
The only cluster resource I can move back to node 1 is ORACLE<SID>. Tried doing that, but no luck.
Any one here facing similar issue during SCM dialog instance installation in MSCS environment?

    Kiran

  • SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 installation with ABAP+JAVA stack

    Hi,
I need to install SAP ECC6.0 EHP4 with ABAP+JAVA stack on windiws server 2008 with oracle.
I have read that for this, we need to install ECC 6.0 EHP4 ready and then upgrade to EHP4 using ehpi installer.
I have found the documents seperately for ABAP and JAVA stack and not for ABAP+JAVA.
    I need clarifications on these.
1.Do we need to install ABAP and JAVA instances seperately with EHP4 and then upgrade(In that case I have to install both instances on single host)?
2.Should we give seperate <SID> for both instances and create seperate databases?
3.Hard disk requirement for this set up.(We have 150 GB including C drive)
4.Steps to perform after installing ECC6.0 EHP4 ready
5.Please send me the doc. if anyone has
    Anyhelp would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Surya

    > 1.In the installation document for EHP4 ready for SAP ERP 6.0 ABAP.It is mentioned that this installation contains only basic EHP4 for ERP 6.0 and we need to install additional EHP4  functionality in the SAP ERP 6.0 -EHP4 ready system.
    > It states that atleast Support pacakge stack (SPS) 1 of SHP4 needs to be installed. So If I install this stack using EHPi installer in the post installation activities my SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 will be in place? Please confirm.
    Yes..
    >
    > 2.Can I install SAP SR3 with dual stack and upgaradte it directly to EHP4 at a time?
Yes you can do it.....as SAP still supports dual stack ERP systems to EHP4

  • Post installation error "Local logical system is not defined"

    Hello everyone,
I freshly installed the latest SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial from scratch and like to configure ALE.
I followed thew steps of http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/EN/data/pdf/CABFAALEQS/CABFAALEQS.pdf
(ALE Quick Start) but cannot get through the following step on page 12:
From the R/3 Implementation Guide screen in TA SALE
      choose Basis
        Application Link Enabling (ALE)
          Modeling and Implementing Business Processes
Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views
Clicking on Maintain Distribution Model or using TA BD87, I immedeately get the following error:
The initialization of the logical system has failed.
With TA BD64 the error: Local logical system is not defined arises. I also looked at
    /people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2007/01/22/ale-configuration-for-pushing-idocs-from-sap-to-xi,
    /people/vikash.krishna/blog/2006/10/15/replicating-hr-master-data-part-1 and
    /people/kevin.wilson2/blog/2006/11/13/ale-scenario-development-guide describing the same actions
to find an explanation, but without success
I assume, the error does not occur because the trial version does not support it, but
because of other post installation activities that must be done.
I already created two logical systems and assigned them to newly created clients 100 and 200,
but this did not have any impact on BD87 and BD64 as i was hoping.
Does somebody know what to do here?
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
    Andreas

    - Technical Settings: target host: localhost
