In the Note corrections it gave instructions about the code corrections in the Note.
In this description it gave list of Valid releases . Do we need to check the version of particular module in the source SAP system( SAP 4.7 ( if it exists in the list then we can go a head and apply the note to the upgrade system to get the effect in Target system (ECC 6.0))

    Hi,
When you download a note through SNOTE the system determines whether the note is applicable to your system or not .
If applicable when you implement the note only those corrections that are meant for your system are applied the others are ignored , the system takes care of these.

  • Where Are OSS Notes Correction Instructions Store in SAP?

    Hi There,
My Query is when we use SNOTE transactions to download an OSS Note, in which table does the OSS note get stored especially the "Correction Instructions" or the code that comes with it?
    Please Advise!!
    Thanks,
    Pablo.

    Hi,
I agree with Jerry that the easiest way is to use ST05. But sometimes even just looking at source code can give you an answer pretty quickly. In this case you can quickly realize that there is a function group SCWC which implements various functions for manipulating correction instructions. After that it's pretty easy to spot that tables names start with CWBCI. I would suggest to use these function modules instead of direct SQL queries to these tables.
    Cheers

  • Note correction Instructions point towards object type FUGR / REPS

    Folks
While looking at Correction Instructions for a note, its pointing to changes in Object Type FUGR, REPS
I am familiar with Object Type Class and methods and how to navigate to them but am unfamiliar on how to check the Object Type FUGR, REPS and the corrections made to them.
Is there any standard T-code or process to check the Object Type FUGR, REPS ?
    Thanks

    Further to above ;
SAP systems record all changes made in the system in transport requests. There are different types of transport objects, depending on the type of change. Each transport object consists of three pieces of information:
    ·        Program ID
    ·        Object type
    ·        Object name
Program ID can be R3TR, LIMU, or LANG. R3TR is a group of objects, and LIMU is a subobject of a larger object. This means, for example, that R3TR PROG RSPFPAR is the transport of the program RSPFPAR with all its information (source code, text elements, properties, ...), while LIMU REPT RSPFPAR describes the text elements of this program.
The complete object R3TR PROG includes the following subobjects, among others:
    LIMU REPS
    LIMU REPT
    LIMU DYNP.
Also REPS stands for Report Source Code

    Sap Note No. :  951764
When the Note is applied to Object BAPI_XBP_JOB_SPOOLLIST_READ_20, a syntax error is generated.

  • Messagein OSS as "SAP Note does not contain valid correction instructions"

    Hi all ,
Iam trying to implement the OSS Note 170334 in the SNOTE transaction. When I hit Implement, I get a message -"SAP Note does not contain valid correction instructions" .
Could any one help me what to do now. We are now using ECC 6.0.
    Thanks in advance,
    Guru

    Hello,
The SAP note "170334" does not contain any correction instructions means no code changes to be implemented . You want to test whether the note can be installed in the customer system using the Note Assistant. This is not possible because the note does not contain any correction instructions.
The Note Assistant can only install notes that contain correction instructions. Correction instructions describe changes to the source text of ABAP programs, ABAP includes, function modules, method implementaitons, and screen flow logic.
This particular is just for information and you will see some 5-6 related notes in this note.
Also , whats important here is too implement/refer  the long text of the message .
    Hope this helps.

  • OSS note - change request - correction instruction

    Hi Gurus,
when you apply an OSS note SAP creates automatically a change request containing the objects you modify.
Among these objects I can also see a list of "Correction Instructions", what is the meaning of this list?
    What information it contains?
Suppose I have implemented 2 OSS notes obtaining a similar CR:
    CR_number_XXX
    --- Report source code:
    code1
    code2
    Correction instructions:
    1
    2
    3
    4
Now I want to transport only modifications about, for example, code1. Is it enough to delete code2 from the CR?
Or should I delete also the unuseful instructions?
    Thanks
    TD

    Hello,
Correction instructions sometimes differ for different SAP Release. Hence you can see several corrections in a note. You should select the appropriate instruction for (check your SAP release) and carry out the changes required.
You must transport all the objects under a particular instruction.
    Regards,
    Ajith

  • OSS note 1044741 contains no correction instructions for 46C.

I am trying to apply OSS note 1044741 to fix BC Set creation for deleted table entries. However OSS note 1044741 contains no correction instructions for 46C. Please provide assistance.
    Bruce Reeves

    Dear Bruce,
How to raise an OSS note:
In service.sap.com, choose Keys and Requests -> Development Requests -> Create Development Request
The Create development request form appears. It is divided into the sections described below:
    Classification
In the 'Classification' section of the form, you can classify your request by selecting various criteria from the listboxes. This information is used for reporting purposes and to assign your request to a processor at SAP.
Reporting unit is only displayed for information. It defines if you enter the request for yourself, on behalf of a Customer Competence Center (CCC), of a customer, or of a user group. Which entries are available depends on the organization you are working for.
Priority defines the priority this request has for you.
Industry is only displayed for information. This is the industry of your company.
Other Industry allows you to select further industries if the request refers not only to your industry. To select more than one industry, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired items by clicking on them.
Component defines the application component to which your request applies.
Core release defines the R/3 release you are currently working with.
Add-on defines, in case the request applies to an industry solution, the specific add-on release you are currently working with.
General provides generic features for a better classification of your request. If you wish to define more than one category, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired items by clicking on them.
Cross-component provides cross-component features for a better classification of your request. If you wish to define more than one application, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired items by clicking on them.
Only relevant for country allows you to specify that your request is only relevant for the selected country.
    Personal classification by requestor
In the 'Personal classification by requestor' section, you can add your own classification criteria to the request:
Classification 1 - 3: allows you to specify your own features, e.g., "Project xyz". You can enter any text up to 30 characters in these fields.
    Description
In the Description section of the form, you can describe in detail the feature you request for the SAP software.
In the Language field, select the language in which you are describing your request. For processing at SAP, all non-English requests will be translated into English.
In the Short text field, enter a meaningful title for your request.
The Long text field is mandatory. Use it to describe your request in detail. Even if you attach external description files, please enter a detailed description here.
The Business need field is mandatory. Please use it to explain why the requested feature is needed for your business.
The Example field is collapsed by default. Click on the plus symbol to the left of the field to expand the entry field, and enter an example for the requested feature.
The Current workaround field is collapsed by default. Click on the plus symbol to the left of the field to expand the entry field, and describe which procedure you currently use instead of the requested feature.
The Proposed solution field is collapsed by default. Click on the plus symbol to the left of the field to expand the entry field, and describe how you propose to solve the issue related to your request.
    Attaching documents
You can also attach files that further describe your request, for example, documents or presentations. All file types supported by this site can be attached, this includes all popular Office formats.
To be able to attach files to your request, you must have the Check In Wizard program installed on your computer. Otherwise, an error message will be displayed. If you do not have the Check In Wizard installed, click here to start the installation
    NOTE:
This will automatically save your request with the status New. The request will, however, not yet be sent to SAP. If you have not yet filled in all required fields, the system will prompt you to do so before you can add an attachment. The attachments will be listed only after you have saved or sent the request.
To attach a file, choose Add attachment.
The Check in Files dialog box appears.
Select the file you want to attach, and choose Open.
A status dialog box appears. When the status The check in process has completed successfully is displayed, confirm with OK.
The file is now attached to the development request.
Repeat the above steps for any additional files, if required.
    Saving the development request
When you have entered all required data you can save your request. To do this, choose Save. You can then edit the request and send it to SAP later. This allows a company or user group to internally manage, discuss and consolidate its development requests before it decides which development requests will be sent to SAP in the next step. (Development requests that are no longer relevant can be set to status Closed by author).
Sending the development request to SAP
When you have entered all required data, you can alternatively send the request to SAP immediately. To do this, choose Sent to SAP. You need a special authorization to use this function. If you had saved a request before but not yet sent it to SAP, you can send it to SAP later using this function.
    Resetting the request form
If you make a mistake during data entry and want to reset all entries to the values they had when you opened the form, choose the Reset button.
    Closing the request
If you find that you no longer need the request, you can close it. In this way, you specify that no further processing of the request is necessary.
To close the request, choose Closed by author.
(After closing, confirm the request to remove it from your inbox.)
    Confirming the request
Confirm the request if you have received SAP's final decision. The development request will no longer be shown in your Inbox.
To confirm the request, choose Confirm.
You will find the answers in your SAP inbox.

  • Question about SAP note instruction(subroutine does not exist)

    Hello Experts,
I was just given a task wherein I need to manually apply a SAP note but in the instruction it says that I need
to edit a subroutine that when I checked does not exist in the function group. Now, do I need to create that subroutine
    or am I missing something?
Hope you cna help me guys. Thank you and take care!

    Hi,
You should not have created that subroutine on your own, it seems like its an Formula Routine created from tcode VOFM -> Formulas -> Condition Value. so create a routine with number 49(access key required) and add the code to it.
But as this is a Enhancement implementation, i recommend you to implement this Notes by importing the support package for the component SAP_APPL. Details about support package level in which the note corrections are delivered are given in that notes. so better take help of your basis guy.

  • Credit exposure not correct in SAP

    Hello,
My company has over 3.2 million accounts in our system and we are coming across the issue of credit exposure not being accurate for customers which is causing credit checks that should not be necessary. It look likes what is happening is that once the open sales order is invoiced the amount is staying locked in the exposure and then it is also added into receivables which is essentially doubling the exposure from what it should be. Is there any configuration changes that we can use to correct this?? With the high volume of customers and transactions on a daily basis this issue is causing a lot of extra work and customer issues. Your assistance is appreciated.
    James

    Hello,
It happens that LIS is not correctly updated by SAP and that the credit exposure is incorect.
Have a look at the program RVKRED07. You may have to play with the parameters to find the correct combination for the update.
    PROTB = X
    NOBLOCK = X
You may consider also setting up a daily batch job ...
In fact you have 2 progams given by SAP
RVKRED88, it calls RVKRED07 in test mode
RVKRED77, it calls RVKRED07 in real mode
You can also implement the following reoprts
    Z_CREDIT_VALUE_COMPARE (see note 666587 and 864105)
    Z_CREDIT_VALUE_COMPARE_DCC (see note 1040893)
Other OSS notes for you, depending on you SAP version

  • Understand instructions in SAP note 1674375

    Hi Everyone,
I am customizing a Solution Manager 7.1 SP10 and I am going to implement SAP Note 1674375, but it is not clear what I should do during Manual activities.
The note says: Attached to this note you find the list of records (PDF) that need to be added or deleted in the above mentioned table.
The mentioned documents contains several rows, but none of them are indicated to be deleted nor inserted. Actually shall I insert every row from the attached PDF?
As I see, all of the rows contained in the PDF are listed in the customizing table in my Solution Manager. However, there are some additonal rows in Solman.
For example this is an extract from the PDF:
And this is the related content in Solman:
    The green line is extra.
Has anybody faced with this question yet? Shall I remove the extra rows or not?

    Hi,
My view that, as per the note, the manual activity is only for the release level till SP4, since you have sp10.
You no longer needed to edit the table, Just implement the correction.
    Thanks

  • Problem when opening correction instructions for OSS notes.

The file is blank. Anyone encountered this problem before?

    Hi Antish,
Please find the below procdure to implement a OSS Note.

    3. Use menu GOTO --> Note Browser.
Enter the note number and Execute. Now double click on the displayed line. OSS Note solution will be displayed on the screen.
    4. Now again click Execute to adopt the solution in the note.
    5. follow the screens which will come in the execution.

  • Seeking ZDELTEXT correction report that is part of SAP Note 496577

Hi -- can someone please tell me where I can find the above mentioned report?  It is suppose to be attached to Note 496577 but I am not finding it there.
    Thanks

    Hi,
if you display the "Correction Instructions" you will find it there.
    Best regards.

  • Is it possible to force the implementation of a SAP note?

    Hi guys,
I am installing SAP CPM, software components CPD 1.0 and PICM 1.0.  During the SAINT installation, I hit an error for both components in the ABAP Generation Phase.  I have found two notes with automatic corrections (1843317 and 2040519) to fix the errors.
However, when attempting to implement both notes through SNOTE, it shows them as "Cannot be implemented".  I am assuming this is because the software components are not fully installed yet.
I know that I can get the correction instructions from each note and manually put them in, but one of the notes has 15+ corrections.  Not exactly how I want to spend my day.
Is there a way to force SNOTE to implement a note that is listed as "cannot be implemented"?  If not, does anyone have a better way to get the corrections applied besides doing each one manually?
    Thanks!
    -Jayson

    Hi,
Here i would recommend to go for correction instruction instead of searching force implementation of SAP Notes as notes are used to fix bugs under some specific SAP standard codes and affects specific programs even and only recommended if support package still to be provided by SAP.
Also need to check for the supported releases under SAP notes for performing corrections (strictly based or relevant for mentioned releases.)
Hope you will understand and will try to avoid any issues by opting any force methods to implement the SAP Notes.
    Regards,
    Gaurav
