SAP PM stand-alone with Baan ERP ?

Does anyone have experience with implementing SAP PM module with Baan ERP ?
I don't think that this is a good idea at all, but I just wanted to check if someone already did it, and how much it did cost.

I don't think that this idea has been seriously explored, as Baan ERP is a distinct ERP system from SAP, and SAP PM is only one module of the latter. As such, SAP PM is driven by the integration with other SAP ERP components (and non-ERP components, by extension) to the point that using SAP PM functionalities, while not utilising other core SAP ERP functionality, would be severely cost-ineffective... It is a much better option to switch to SAP ERP throughoutm, or look at other options for integrating into Baan ERP.

Beside Company code, what another mandatory things are necessary configure?.....Can they be for FI: Business area, the G/L accounts for payroll? and for CO: CO area, cost center?

BI4.0 with Baan ERP LN

Hi,
We are using BO3.1 for reporting against Baan V ERP. Now we are implementing Baan ERP LN (New version of Baan) for some sites.
We have already migrated all Non Baan (other database/applications) reports to BI4.0 SP5 version.
My question here is did any one tried to connect BI4.0 with Baan ERP LN ?. Is there is any new features are limitations?

I have battled with INFO ERP, both with BAAN AND LN.
Please list down the file system you are using and the storage vendor along with specs ? If you are using ZFS, you might wanna do some tuning at there.
Most of the sql's with "hint" first rows should work fine except the "SALES ORDER ONE". You might wanna take out the hint and check the execution plan.
Please list down all specific questions and i will try to answer them.

Are there any reported conflicts of CS6 (Stand-alone) with other Non-Adobe Software Programs?

I just downloaded a trial version of CS6 (standalone) 64 bit for my Imac 27" 3.06 dual (OS 10.8.1) 4 GB Ram.
I tried it, and then closed down to compare it to anothernon-Adobe program.
As soon as I tried to open a file image in this other program, I could';t open the other program.
I kept getting that bothersome Apple notice where you write a note, send it, and reopnen the software.
This happened over and over,until I decided to uninstall CS6 and reboot my IMac.
The problem with the other Non-Adonbe software disappeared, and that program functioned as beofre.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
I prefer not to mention the other porogram, but that company has been notified as well.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
What I'm going to try and do is upload CS6 extended (Photoshop - stand alone) if I can.
The other program is a commerical (paid with a serial number) called Fluid Mask 3.
Is there a possibility that CS6 can create a problem with OS 10.8.1, which then interferes with my other program?
If I can re-load CS6 extended, and I get the same problem, what I'll do is screencapture the "issue" that Apple OS 10.8.1 said I had,
and attach only a portion of the key parts to a reply here.

Sap TDMS 4.0 Stand Alone Scrambling in ERP

I am trying to run TDMS standalone scrambling in ERP module, using the SAP provided rules itself.
The rule im trying is to scramble the email address.
The SP level is SP05 for TDMS 4.0[ for DMIS, DMIS_CNT]
Databse MSSQL
I am getting the error at Creation of Data cluster in Execution system.[ Flash Icon]. Tried to solve the issue by using the trouble shooting error. But couldn’t find anything related to that.
Execution system: ECS [ERP Sandbox system]
Control system: SOP [ Solution Manager]
I see no dumps in st22 nor errors in SM21. Not even failed jobs in SM37.
Experts help needed.

Coming to Log report well either of the screens shows the same thing. The surprising thing is why dont the Ext process monitor doesnt show me any back ground job..[2nd image in above reply]
I will show you one more interesting thing, when i execute that step[ Creation of Data Cluster in Execution System] in process tree, i see a pop up screen in SOP...not sure what that is..u can oberve that in my following screen.
Here i click OK and then OPEN
then MY SOP screen shows this,

Running Tomcat As a Stand Alone with IIS

I am currently running a servlet from Tomcat 4.0.1 as a standalone concurrently with IIS 5.0. I found that I was able to access the servlet page (http://adt.barra.com:8080/examples/Test1) from computers within my company but when I tried to display the page at my home computer, I get a page cannot be displayed error�The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. Do I need to run Tomcat as a service or do I actually have to incorporate the two using isapi_redirect.dll? Or maybe it�s just that computer. The machines at work runs WinNT and Win2K but my home computer runs Win98. Thanks.

As a previous poster stated the Firewall at your work is probebly stopping the traffic from coming in. You might be able to get away with this using the IIS isapi that tomcat provides, however you may still have firewall issues. If your network/security guys are not to anal about it, they might be able to open up pot 8080 for incoming traffic to that server only. Otherwise, you may want to try the Tomact isapi.

SAP GUI not working with SAP* and DDIC default passwords

at last I installed the SAP ECC6.0 on Windows 2003 (stand alone) with Oracle 10G database.
I installed the SAP GUI , when I am trying to loging from SAP GUI clients 000 and 001 with SAP* and DDIC user accounts I am naot able to login . please give me the how to configure this .

Hi Srinivas,
You should set "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar=0", in the SAP profile. With ECC 6.0, default sapstar user deactivated. You can take a look at OSS note #68048, for detailed information.

I have been given a very interesting work for anlying if SAP PI could be installed on a standalone machine without having any SAP box. My requirement is to install SAP PI tool for non SAP integration.
I will distribute my question in 2 parts
1. Can I install SAP PI in a stand alone desktop?
2. Is is important to have a SAP R/3 system to install SAP PI tool?
Please do share your thoughts and if possible please share the document which could be used as proof.

Problems building a stand alone application with LV 8.6.1.

I'm having problems building a stand alone application with LV8.6.1. I'm using a USB- 6008 DAQ and USB-6501 Digital device in the application. I already have an simple executable on the machine so the Run time Engine is already installed. For the USB DAQ device, I assume I need to include the DAQmx8.8 as one of the installers. When I attempt to build the application, I'm prompted for several disk, one being a distribuition disk 1. I have the installation disk for the developer package. I did not see a distribuiton disk as one of the installation disks. When I insert disk 1 I get an error that another application is trying to run. Could someone tell me which installers I need to include and where do I find the "distributor" disk.

are you building installer for the first time on this PC?...It usually asks for the drivers CDs and some toolkits if required.
you just need to use drivers CDs (comes with LabVIEW) from which you installed on this PC. If you have ever upgraded drivers, then you have to use the latest CDs only.......
another issue may be ...when u insert the driver disk, it has autorun, it will launch drivers installation wizard....close that and then try to build distribution.........

I have a BT home Hub 3 with standard BT broadband(no infinity), how do I set up an Apple AirPort Extreme without a stand alone modem? Can I use my current Home Hub

I want to use an Apple AirPort Extreme as my home router but at present I have standard BT broadband using the BT Home hub 3. Can I connect them in some way so I don't need to buy a stand alone modem.
IS THIS POSSIBLE???
1. Would Apple AirPort Express be better and easier?
2. What modem would be suitable if I can't do it any other way?
I AM CURRENTLY USING MY INTERNET WITH PS3,WINDOWS 7 LAPTOP, IPAD AND IPHONE!!!

So, we took that at face value....,.but it could look like this if things are more convenient this way, if you prefer:
AT&T 2WIRE > Ethernet Switch > AirPort Extreme and other devices.

No, if you leave the wireless function off on the 2WIRE. If you do want the utilize the wireless on the 2WIRE and the AirPort Extreme, then you want to keep them physically separated by 6-8 feet, or a few meters.

No, if the AirPort Express will provide enough range for the network.

Yes, if both of them are configured to operate in Bridge Mode. If you are using the "wizard" setup utility in AirPort Utility 6.x, the wizard will do this for you automatically.

You can have as many AirPort Express devices (or AirPort Extreme devices) as you want, as long as each has an Ethernet connection back to the switch.
