    Hi,
In printer settings - SPAD - tray info - you can give the Page format for that tray .
did you try setting that ? Try setting  DINA 4.
    or
Go to START --> SETTINGS ---> Printers
Right click on AR-M 165 Sharp Wipro ... Properties..
General Tab --> Printing Preferences --> Advanced --> Paper Size -->
Change it to (210 x 297 mm) or DIN A4 paper format.

  • Smart form printing issue with LOCL printer and SAP printer

    Hi,
    The issues are as follows:
    1. the top portion of the Invoice and PO does not print when using the SAP printer (works when using LOCL)
    2. the shaded areas of the Order Confirmation and Invoice are black when printing to a SAP printer (works when using LOCL)
In an attempt to correct the printing issue is was suggested that we change the SAP printer device type from HPLJ4 to POST2. This did address the problem where the shaded areas were black but then we received reports that other reports printed "garbage". Its possible that using POST2 device type causes issues when printing to HP compatible printers.
Apparently all the testing was done using the SAP printer LOCL and not the SAP printer name and SAP spool system. LOCL uses the SAP GUI and Windows system to produce the output. Our production users at the plant site and Toledo are using SAP defined printers with the device type of HPLJ4. HPLJ4 is our standard here as OC for our printer definitions and we have HP compatible printers installed in our Toledo location and all of our remote sites. We need to be able to correctly print the Invoices, Purchase Orders, Sales Order Confirmations on our SAP printers.
What can be done to the reports to allow them to print on our HPLJ4?
    Thanks,
    Babu

    Hi Prathap,
Check the background shading of the windows of the Smartform where you get the black boxes. If it is set something like this:
    Color: White
    Saturation: 100%
    this can be the problem.
I know it is strange but some black and white printers cannot handle this setting. They only know one color black so the ignore the color setting and just take the saturation 100% setting.
The reason it works with local and device type SAPWIN is that the print data is created in Windows and sent to the printer as graphic.
Please change the shading for window MAIN -> tab 'Output Options' to:
    Color: Black
    Saturation: 0%
and this should resolve the problem.
Then create a new spool and check if the problem is resolved. See SAP Note #400050.

  • Smartform font spacing Issue when using SAP printer name

    Hi Friends,
I am facing some spacing issues when printing a form using SAP printer name. If I use LOCL then the output comes perfectly but when I use the SAP printer name the space between characters are getting widened and so the alignment of each column goes wayward. I suspect it could be due to the device type but not sure which seeting controls this. There is a similar problem in the logo as well. When using LOCL the logo comes out good but when using the printer name the quality is not good and becomes pixelised. Have any of you faced similar issues? Can you provide some guidance or pointers for the solution.
Device type of LOCL : ZSAPWIN
Device type of SAP printer name :  ZHPLJ5
CPI is defined in smartform as 10.
Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Hi,
This problem occurs because the printer driver for both the printers are different,
I suggest you use Local printer only or configure any other printer with printer diver in SAP as SAPWIN.

    Hi
Set the parameter ID NDR in the user master record to X.
This makes the print check box to be defaulted to X.
Now you should be able to print the GR from VL32N.
    I hope this helps.

  • Using WEBGUI printing Problem encountered

    Dear all,
having implemeted the WebGui application server a printing problem in the browser occurs.
Suppose that an ABAP-report issues a list consisting of various pages. Once you apply threprint button
in the internet browser (Microsoft 6.0) only the first page is being printed, the other pages are neglected.
In contrast, once you carry out the report within the SAP-System all pages are printed. The same applies once you apply the legacy standalone ITS with the function modules employed.
How can this issue be resolved ?
    Thx
    Bernd

  • Print problems double byte characters (ZH - simplified Chinese)

We are currently preparing a 4.7 (WebAS 6.20 on SLES) rollout in China and struggle with a severe printer problem. Our SAPScript forms contain a mixture of western and simplified Chinese characters. The printouts come just with either hashes, blanks or undefinable characters instead of Chinese. We generally use HP Laserjet printers there (1022n, 2300, 2420, 2600n, 4100, 6L). SAP patch level is 51 for SAP_BASIS (I know that's "a bit" behind). I've already checked a number of SAP notes but couldn't find anything really usable. Basically I think the reason is the printer themselves (installed fonts) and the problem might be solved by adding some DIMM modules containing the specific asian fonts (anyhow they seem to be hard to get as the printer models are rather old). Did anyone come across similar problems? I'd really appreciate any kind of info or help.
    Cheers,
    Andy

    Hi Markus,
thanks for the info. We've actually been able to get some DIMMs (hard to get, seems like they are not produced anymore, new printer models can be flashed either by CD or Flash Card) and, after we made some changes in the SAPScript forms (wrong character sets) it worked properly.
Frontend printing: definitely to be avoided, would only have been an option for a couple of days to get some additional time. One option I've also tried is a mixture of network and frontend printing: I've set up a windows server and used saplpd as a print server. You can point the SAP devices in SPAD to that server by setting up the device's destination host and host printer accordingly. Actually this should be avoided, too, as saplpd as a print server is considered to be very instable. sapsprint actually isn't better.
Anyhow - as we've managed to get the DIMMs it's working now.
    Cheers,
    Andy

  • Printing directly on SAP-printer or via preview on windows printer

    Hi all,
I'm having a serious print problem: The result of printing directly on a SAP printer or printing via preview on a windows printer is a wide difference!
In the beginning I was working only with the preview of the LiveCycle Designer to check the design of my forms. Later on I was checking them in preview mode in SAP-transactions or saved them onto my local disk. Printing was no problem because I printed the created forms on a window printer.
One day there was a big surprise when printing a form directly from SAP on a local SAP-printer (HP printer). The output looked a bit different. Somehow the form was like streched. The left and right margins were not on the sheet anymore. Even the lowest part of the footer was not visilble anymore. It looked like the layout was centerd and aligned on top of the page.
The SAP printer is installed with a PCL driver (standard for HP). Even adjustments relative to the SAP-hint 1444342
    (device independent printing) were regarded.
My question now is: how to install SAP-printers that the print output is the same no matter what print method is chosen?
I appreciate any help, hints and good advices which leads to a solution of my problem.
    Thanks & regards,
    Phil
    PS: I'm creating a Form with LiveCycle Designer 9.0.1 (SAP GUI 720, Patch-level 4).

    Hi Prathamesh,
    Follow this approach.
Get NAST entry corresponding to invoice number(invoice number = objky).
insert this piece of code :
         gwa_nast-vstat = 1.
         gwa_nast-erdat = sy-datum.
         gwa_nast-eruhr = sy-uzeit.
         gwa_nast-usnam = sy-uname.
         gwa_nast-manue = 'X'.
         gwa_nast-vstat = 0.
         gwa_nast-LDEST = P_printername_from_selection_screen.
         CLEAR gwa_nast-datvr.
         CLEAR gwa_nast-uhrvr.
         CLEAR gwa_nast-cmfpnr.
       MOVE gwa_nast TO nast.
       PERFORM einzelnachricht_dialog IN PROGRAM rsnast00 USING sy-subrc.
       IF sy-subrc NE 0.
         PERFORM objekt_entsperren IN PROGRAM rsnast00.
         IF sy-subrc EQ 9.
           RAISE print_error_dial.
         ELSE.
           RAISE print_error.
         ENDIF.
       ENDIF.
       SET SCREEN 0.
       PERFORM objekt_entsperren IN PROGRAM rsnast00.
       COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.
the above will generate a spool.
    Thanks,
    Anil
