SAP* Problem in client 001

I forgot the any account to logon client '001' now and i forgot the password for SAP* in client '001'
so i started to delete the SAP* in database level (DB2 UDB for Linux) by using th command below:
db2
delete from sapn4s.usr02 where mandt = '001' and bname = 'SAP*'
After i restarted the Application server, i find that the SAP* account did not regenerate from the system in client '001'
Is this problem related to the parameter "no_automatic_user_sapstar"
if that's the case, can anyone tell me how to change/check this parameter in database level?

@Anil: In order to get default password of SAP*, we have to delete user only.
Please follow below procedure to reset SAP* Password:
To reset SAP* password, please follow this step:
1. Set the profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0 from RZ10 (If you canu2019t logon, you can edit your Instance Profile directly from the OS level, folder /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile, )
2. Restart Application Server.
3. Logon to your SQL command (eq: SQL PLUS for Oracle) and connect as SYSDBA.
4. Run: SELECT * FROM [Schema].USR02 WHERE BNAME=u2019SAP*u2019 AND MANDT=u2019<client>u2019
Example: SELECT * FROM PRD.USR02 WHERE BNAME=u2019SAP*u2019 AND MANDT=u2019000'
5. If exist, then run:
DELETE FROM PRD.USR02 WHERE BNAME=u2019SAP*u2019 AND MANDT=u2019000'
Make sure the user deleted by re-run step 4.
6. Logon to Client with user SAP* and password: pass

After installation of SCM 5.0, we did client copy from 001 -
>800.
But when we execute RSA1 we got the error message:
"Your SAP BW system can only operate in client 001"
Is this because of client limitations?
If yes, how it can be solved.
Incoming days we are going to upgrade to SCM 5.0 from SCM 4.1.
Will it cause a problem?

It worked.Thanks a lot. But still have a logical system issue.
RSA1>message appears->
"Logical system name has been changed for the
system"
When I gave logical system of client 001 to 800 then it worked.(with RSADMINA has entry now 800 which was changed from 001).
It still not working logical system of client 800.
I afraid, we will face issue after upgrade to SCM 5.0.
I hope client will not modify after upgrade to SCM 5.0 in RSADMINA.

I have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version and I could successfully login into the system.
When I run RSA1 Tcode I am getting error message You can only work in client 001. Can some please advice.

Hi,
Since BI tables are cross-client, BI can work only in one client. By default BI is configured for client 001.
If you want it in different client, you change it in BWMANDT field of RSADMINA table.

I have installed SAP NETWEAVER ABAP TRIAL VERSION for BI. In that I have to create logical system for client 001. I have taken a list of available clients from the abap R3 side. Here is a list of it.

How to bring sap* in client 001

Hi ,
By mistake i deleted all users in client 001 at db level
( delete from SAPR47.USR02 where mandt=001)
It is a test system, and 3 rows got deleted when i executed above coomand ( DDIC, SAP*)
How can i bring back the ddic and sap* in 001

Hi,
Set parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0
Restart the SAP instance.
Then login client 001 with user sap* and password as pass.
Once you login to system, do client copy from 000 to 001 using profile SAP_USER.

No service for system SAP***, client 001 in Integration Directory

Hi,
We are doing a File to IDOC scenario.
The file is picked up and the idoc is getting generated in XI but this idoc is failing at XI outbound with the following SM58 error:
No service for system SAPABC, client 001 in Integration Directory
where ABC is my XI system ID.
I have searched in sdn and tried all the possible solutions given in the previous blogs with same subject but not able to resolve this error.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Copying Client 001 instead of 000

Hi Experts,
Just a query, we've installed srm 7.0 ehp1 and after finishing the post processing i've noticed that we've copied client 001 to the new client (sandbox client - 251) instead of 000. is there any drawback or consequence of doing that? the thing is we have already configured SRM-ECC integration (SRM 251 and ECC 251).
Is there any harm? because reviewing the client 001 - it is copy of master client 000.. but based on the document -
5.16Performing the Client Copy
SAPinst creates three ABAP clients during the installation, client 000, client 001, and client 066.
Client 000 is the SAP reference client for ABAP.
Use client 000 as source client for the client copy.
please help me analyze and explain if there will be a drawback about copying client 001 instead of client 000. should i delete the existing client251 and create a new client251 copied from client 000 and repeat the SRM - ECC integration?

Urgent: Upgrade x client 001

Hi,
I'd be thankfull if someone could help me in this topic.
My client uses client 001 for BW mdt in all environments (dev, qas and prod), and we'll upgrade BW from 3.1 to 7.0.
I've seen that this client is reserved for SAP use in SAP ECC, and that the same should occur with BW. Does anyone if this is true? Does anyone knows SAP note number warning us to this problem? I didn't find anyone.
A copy client changing to another client number before upgrade is sufficient or we should do any other procedure?

I have another drive in my G5 (my backup drive used for time machine...) but even that one is shown with a red mark, meaning the system cannot be installed to that drive either (I have no idea why it is not bootable)...

PI-7.0(xi-7.0) as production server - wrongly abap client(001)

Hi all,
We are using PI-7.0(xi-7.0) as production server, we ran the post installtion successfuly last 6month before and now server status is live production system.
Our issue is we ran wrongly abap client(001)as default client in the post-installation step. Now only we identified this. So we need to change from client(001) to production client(576).
Please guide us to how to change the client..what are the solution to change .

I took me 2 minutes to find notes 1115280 and 940309
It is possible to use an other client instead of the default 001 client but there is no advantage and you have to reconfigure a lot of thing which can lead to a lot of trouble.

SAP CRM multiple clients possible

We have a NetWeaver SAP CRM system (ABAP + JAVA) stack.
We run an internet webshop application on the JAVA stack connected to CRM ABAP stack, client 010. The CRM ABAP stack connects to SAP ERP.
Q1: Is it possible to add a new client 020 in the ABAP stack of the CRM system?
Q2: I don't understand in CRM the connection between the JAVA and ABAP stack. If I add a new ABAP client 020, do I need to copy the JAVA stack/client also?
Who can help me guiding in which direction I have to go?
Note: We want to connect a non-SAP system to client 020.
Overview:
ERP ABAP (client 010) --> CRM ABAP (client 010) --> CRM JAVA stack
non-SAP (legacy system) --> CRM ABAP (client 020) --> CRM JAVA stack

SLDDSUSER not exist in client 800 and in java VA,but exist in client 001.

Dear friends,
                      I am trying to confiure ESS in my ECC6 system. Previously due to lock issue in J2EE_ADMIN user, I start use SAP* user and cofigure. That time i can able to see SLDDSUSER in my sap client 800 and in java visual admin as well and I have created all relevant JCO connections for ESS.All went fine.
                              But since Sap* lock all other users , i tried to fix that J2EE_ADMIN user.Fortunately I unlock J2EE_ADMIN user and change password as well. With J2EE_ADMIN i can abpe to connect portal as well. But in webdynpro content adminstration screen ,now I can see that check jco connection test only enabled and other buttons maintain Jco detinations are disabled and all my previously created Jco connections gone.
                     After go through SDN documents, i try to use SLDDSUSER for SLD setup. But suprisingly I could not see SLDDSUSER in client 800 as well as in visual admin .But previously I saw in both area. Now only in client 001 SLDDSUSER exist. But i am using client 800 only.Please advice how to proceed further.

Having problem with client side Authentication.

I am haveing a problem enabling client side authentication with SSL on
weblogic 5.1.
I have set up the .properties files as explained, however it appears
my client is not sending a certificate back to the server. The same
client however works perfectly (using the same keystore file) with a
sample ClassFileSErver webserver from the jsse distribution. (the
client is a very slightly modified version of
SSLSocketClientWithClientAuth sample that comes with Jsse)
Below I've included a section of the debug dump from the interactions.
The only other difference I can see is the cipher suites offered by
the servers.
Weblogic offers type 0 or 9, and agrees on type 9
(SSL_RSA_WITH_DES_CBC_SHA), whereas ClassFileServer offer type 0 or 5
and settles on type 5 (SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA).
I am using the same keystore for both examples. Both servers request
an RSA client cert.... I'm out of ideas.
Any help would be greatfully received.

This explains how to properly setup the HTTPURLLOC table.
In your case you should have entries that look something like this:
40 HTTP * <internal host name> <https port>
50 HTTPS * <external host name> <https port>
In addition you need to run the report to determine if the proxy configuration is setup properly. The URL should be run with the
https://<externalhostname>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system_test/test_proxy.htm

Yes you can do.
Tcode SCCL.
Options :
When copying clients, you can select what you want to transfer from the source client to the target client:
User masters: You select this option, for example, if you want to give all users of an existing client the same authorizations in the target client.
Client-specific Customizing: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a new client in an existing system.
Client-specific Customizing and master/transaction data:
You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a test client that is identical to the production client (in the same system).
Client-specific and cross-client Customizing: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a quality assurance system based on the production client of another system.
Client-specific and cross-client Customizing and master/transaction data: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a test client based on the production client of another system.
