SAP Sample Applications on CE7.1

Gurus,
We are trying to install / configure the simple SAP applications provide in the link below by SAP.
We are proceeding step by step with the documents provided by SAP. But we see that in our CE7.1 EHP1 version we dont see the menu path mentioned in the SAP document.
Can anyone who has implemented these simple applications help us in pointing what is wrong?

Hi,
I have implemented these samples in CE7.1 EHP1.
Do you mean that you cant find
Window->Preferences->General-?Network Connections in your IDE.If this is the problem the you need to reistall your IDE.While installing it will ask for the update site.You have to give it properly then only all the plugins will be installed.
If this is not your problem,then kindly let me know what do you mean by "We dont see the menu path".

The .sca-file can be found on the sap service marketplace, afterwards you need to import the .sca-file, add the SC to your "MyComponents" and then you can select your necessary DC's.

Getting error while running TutWD_FlightBooking_Init sample application

Hello,
I have downloaded TutWD_FlightBooking_Init.zip and Handling Transactions with BAPIs in Web Dynpro.pdf document and created a WebDynpro sample application.
I have deployed it in WAS6.40 SP9 and created appropriate JCo connections and these JCo connections are working fine.
While accessing application from browser it gives me following error.

In this sample application I am using following detinations
1- WD_FLIGHTBOOKING_MODELDATA_DEST
2- WD_FLIGHTBOOKING_RFC_METADATA_DEST
When I am going through the Web Dynpro Content Administrator and looking inside my application local/TutWD_FlightBooking_Init -> Applications -> FlightBookingApp -> JCo Connections, it shows these two destination.

BPM Sample Applications Released

I would like to announce the release of the new package of BPM sample applications using SAP NetWeaver BPM technology. SAP customers and partners will find them ready-to-run in the [Enterprise Services Workplace|http://esworkplace.sap.com] (ES Workplace) ([http://esworkplace.sap.com|http://esworkplace.sap.com]) environment, together with technical documentation, process models, coding, and demo data. They serve as a starting point and accelerator for SOA projects using SAP NetWeaver BPM, and as a tool for demo and training purposes.
These BPM sample applications are implementations of typical business processes, such as:
    u2022     Approve Sales Order Change Request
    u2022     Approve Purchase Requisition and Create Purchase Order
    u2022     Manage Leave Request
    u2022     Unexpected Returns Handling
    u2022     Phase In Equipment
In addition, the SOA landscape hosted on the ES Workplace site has been upgraded to Support Package 3 of SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 4. It comes with refreshed IDES test data, which allows customers and partners to apply updated and standardized test data to their demos, tests and development. To get immediate benefit, customers and partners need to renew their passwords as of November 2, 2009. All registered ES Workplace users will be informed via email by next week.
You can share your experience with the samples in this BPM forum. If you have any questions, post them here as well, I will try to answer everyone.

thanks for the feedback. You are right, we omitted exception handling in the process for this first set of BPM Samples fully focusing on the business process and the enterprise services. For a real productive solution exception handling needs to be added, of course - but for the purpose of BPM Simple Samples this would distract from the essential parts. We are currently considering more complex Samples which then will also include exception handling using the features of upcoming NetWeaver BPM 720.
Regarding your question about best practice of using business rules, can you please be a bit more specific which BPM Sample and task you are referring to?

BPM Simple Sample Application Error!!!

i have some problems with the bpm simple sample applications on our local sap nw ce system (7.1 ehp1 sp0)?
on the esworkplace i have download the *.sca file and have import this file into my nwds.
i following the simple sample documentation an define and configure the ERP and ERP_META Destinations on the nwds and our local sap nw ce system.
also i do the future steps which was described (service registry, proxy settings, ...).
on page 16 of the simple sample documetation is defined which Sofware Component has dependencies to other SC´s.
the SC "BPEM_BUILDT" depends on the SC "ESMP_BUILDT" and "COMP_BUILDT", the SC "COMP_BUILT" doesnt exist on my nwds (7.1 ehp1 sp0).
has everybody any idea why the SC "COMP_BUILT" not exist on my nwds???
still this absent SC i can deploy the bpm simple sample successful to our sap nw ce system.
now i do the post deployment steps for the bpm samples.
after this i call the simple sample application on my sap nw ce portal and can execute the "Initiate Equipment Phase In Process".
now i can see a new entry on my uwl, i open the uwl task.
at step 1, 2, 3 i change no data an click next, after step 3 (create equipment) i get the following error:

I have requirement to create custom business object and create Web Service for that and use in external system (SAP ECC / SAP CRM / Third Party).
1) Is it possible to create custom object web service and used in external system ?
2) When we create the Web service from custom business object what the necessary steps(action : Create , Read , Update) require?
3) Sample Scenario :

I applied a Patch to my Development Meachine , But Later the User requested saying that He dont want that Perticular Basis Patch Installed, So Can we Uninstall / Revoke / Delete the Installed Basis / HR Patch on the SAP Server ?.

SAP Portal Application development & Deployment

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to find a way to customise the top navigation on the Portal (e.g. mahe a hover menu navigation).
The way to do it is to develop a new portal application using NWDS.
I'm struggling to follow any of the samples as they all refer to .PAR files, which is not supported anymore by NWDS 7.1.
What is the right way (and steps) to deploy the SAP Portal application from NWDS to our SAP Portal.

"document" is folder which will contain "abc" folder.
u can give folder names accding to ur requirement..
but chk thsese folders must b already created on portal repository. u cnt create folder by this application.
here refreshtable is fetching sap user, objectname...
