First of all... thanks a lot for your response before I reframe my question..
ABAP is the language we use in SAP to meet our requirements. To be able to understand, compile and process the ABAP code u need a SAP system.
My question is about the base language in which SAP software was coded and before it(SAP software) got released in the market.

Internationalization is available in SAP.
The goal of Internationalization is to provide the technical foundation for enabling programs to support multiple scripts and languages without redesign or modification. Once a user has selected a logon language, all programs must transparently alter their run-time behavior to meet the expectations of the user. Internationalization furthers generic programming, because hard-encoded search strings, error messages, etc. may work in one language, but not in another.
Internationalization interacts with every face of the system: logon language, language input, menu texts, sorting, character conversion, printing, data transfer - simply put, it is the technical underpinning of global business software.
If a system or application can support any language, then it is fully internationalized; if it only supports a limited set of languages, then it is partially internationalized. SAP offers full internationalization by supporting Unicode code page technology.

How to get the SAP software loaded on a vista machine

Hi,
I an in Dallas TX. Looking for help to get SAP ABAP application loaded on my vista machine. Have a 3GB RAM, Core 2 Duo T5750 and 320GB HDD with 250GB free space. Dummy Companies in Sap software

Hi
I have a problem in my SAP Software installed recently. I dont have any example companies in my system (like 1000, IDES, etc) to refer to. I dont even have the types of currencies and countries, chart of accounts,fiscal year, field status variants, etc. Nothing at all. Are these companies installed along with the software or are they dumped from somewhere?
Can I please get a solution to my problem. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. Since you said client 000 is client master and contains data for sure. Hence I understood that I was wrongly searching for data in client 800.
I tried in 000 & I could solve the problem by going to Tcode 'SCC4" (client Maintenance) where 'No changes allowed" option was selected. Hence I was not allowed to use any Tcodes. I changed it to changes allowed and there we go, I got all the data required.

No business application is released for evaluation (love to be proven wrong though). Only Portal, KM, Collaboration on the Java side, and BI/BW on the ABAP side.

Disaster Recovery, How to keep SAP software updated in DR

Hi ,
We're planning to setup a Dr site with a SAP server that has the same software as in the production site. Question is how do we keep the SAP software to be the same as in production ? As sometime we may apply updates.
Will 'rsync' works in this case ?
Our OS are AIX 6.1, running SAP ECC 6.0

what about the Database u are using, Oracle ?
Activities that you have to carried out at both the places i.e. DC & DR.

How to identify the required version of SAPINST and other SAP software?

I have a dell poweredge machine with quad processor .
On this we installed win 2k3 std x86
when I go to my computer and properties, it shows me intel processor, and win 2k3 x86_64
Then I download the IA64 verison and X86 versions of PI71 and related Oracle software.
I tried installing Oracle 10g IA64 and it showed me an error message
Then i installed I386 Oracle 10g and it installed successfully.
While installing Pi71 software, it started promptint me that Oracle software is not found.
So after a couple of hours of struggle and research< i installed AMD64 Oracle 10G and this got recognized by the PI71 software.
My questionw rt the abvoe is - when my computer says it has x86_64 version of OS on an intel xeon processor, how did the AMD64 got into picture?
So how to correctly identify which version of SAP software to download?
Please advise - I am novice regarding OS and related issues...

IA64bit means Intel Itenium Processor.
AMD64=(X64bit) means Intel Core 2 Duo
This X64bit technologies invented by AMD so its called AMD64.

It would be easier to send a solution if you'd clearly defined the problem!.
SAP is built to be multilingual.
For ABAP development, to ensure that your code is able to be multilingual, you should not hard code any text that the users could see - you should instead use text elements, standard texts, OTR, message classes etc.

We have Windows machine - 64 bit - x64. So, we can install either 32 bit or 64 bit sap software, both are supported, right. Now, a sap system is already installed on this machine and i would like to find out whether the sap software is 32 bit or 64 bit, how can i check?
I have already seen under Menu System - Status - Other Kernel Info & at OS level, with the command disp+work but i cant find the info iam looking for.

Those are none other than Software Components that are not existing in the list and you are creating it new.
For example if you are selecting the Product that is existing say "SAP ECC". Now when you go for creating Software Component versions you can select from the list or you can creat your own. When you are creating of your own Software Component it is called Non-SAP Sotware Unit.

Jax jurisdictions using SAP software

Hello experts,
When I activate the tax jurisdiction determination using SAP software, the system assumes that I am using an external tax software and automatically changes the condition table (A053 to A003) accordingly. In FXTP, I no longer have jurisdiction code as part of my key.
Any ideas would be welcome!

Update: OSS responded on a message that if the external system config point is maintained, standard system behaviour is to suppress the jurisdiction code in FTXP.

if u have the cd's try start to install it if u get any prob in the middle i can tell u

I think u bough these CD's from SRNagar, u can ask those guys how to install it, i think they took good amount of money also, they can explain in detail everything
