Sap TDMS 4.0 Stand Alone Scrambling in ERP

Hi All,
I am trying to run TDMS standalone scrambling in ERP module, using the SAP provided rules itself.
The rule im trying is to scramble the email address.
The SP level is SP05 for TDMS 4.0[ for DMIS, DMIS_CNT]
Databse MSSQL
I am getting the error at Creation of Data cluster in Execution system.[ Flash Icon]. Tried to solve the issue by using the trouble shooting error. But couldn’t find anything related to that.
Execution system: ECS [ERP Sandbox system]
Control system: SOP [ Solution Manager]
I see no dumps in st22 nor errors in SM21. Not even failed jobs in SM37.
Experts help needed.

Coming to Log report well either of the screens shows the same thing. The surprising thing is why dont the Ext process monitor doesnt show me any back ground job..[2nd image in above reply]
I will show you one more interesting thing, when i execute that step[ Creation of Data Cluster in Execution System] in process tree, i see a pop up screen in SOP...not sure what that is..u can oberve that in my following screen.
Here i click OK and then OPEN
then MY SOP screen shows this,
This is Maximum we have at the moment to trace something on this issue.

Thanks to one and all for having such a nice forum as it has answer to all the questions which I have posted.
I have been given a very interesting work for anlying if SAP PI could be installed on a standalone machine without having any SAP box. My requirement is to install SAP PI tool for non SAP integration.
I will distribute my question in 2 parts
1. Can I install SAP PI in a stand alone desktop?
2. Is is important to have a SAP R/3 system to install SAP PI tool?
Please do share your thoughts and if possible please share the document which could be used as proof.

SAP PM stand-alone with Baan ERP ?

Does anyone have experience with implementing SAP PM module with Baan ERP ?
I don't think that this is a good idea at all, but I just wanted to check if someone already did it, and how much it did cost.

I don't think that this idea has been seriously explored, as Baan ERP is a distinct ERP system from SAP, and SAP PM is only one module of the latter. As such, SAP PM is driven by the integration with other SAP ERP components (and non-ERP components, by extension) to the point that using SAP PM functionalities, while not utilising other core SAP ERP functionality, would be severely cost-ineffective... It is a much better option to switch to SAP ERP throughoutm, or look at other options for integrating into Baan ERP.

SAP TDMS - Event related scrambling rule - Code example?

Hi experts,
I am currently working on an SAP TDMS project which requires me to develop some event-related scrambling rules. As this type of rule doesn't have parameters I'm having trouble understanding how to access the data. I tried to find an example in the forums and searching the internet but I wasn't successful.
Any help will be much appreciated.

SAP HCM stand alone product

Hi....I'm a SAP ABAP developer and new to SAP HCM...I want to know if is possible to implement SAP HCM module as a stand alone product without implement FI-CO modules or without having interfaces to another SAP ERP system, my client only need a HR system, they already have and are comfortable with their current systems.....Where can I found information about SAP HCM stand alone implementation if this case is achievable.

Beside Company code, what another mandatory things are necessary configure?.....Can they be for FI: Business area, the G/L accounts for payroll? and for CO: CO area, cost center?

Problem while calling a Webservice from a Stand alone java program

I am using a java program to call a webservice as follows. For this I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS.
Now when I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
The java code to call the webservice is as follows.

The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
It is very similar with your problem, could you help me?

Creation of Stand Alone prompt in OLAP universe

I have to catch a user response so i am creating a stand alone prompt in the universe but when i am parsing it, it's giving error.

the Key value is not correct in your syntax - you would have to have some technical name there.

Purchase Order in Stand Alone Scenario

Hi experts
i'd like to know if is possible to create a Purchase Order in SRM 5.0 (stand alone scenario) with position "Limit".
I'd like also to know if is possible to create Purchase Orders with 2 or more lines.
I'm sure that is possible to creat Shopping Cart with position "Limit".

Are you creating RFQ from scratch or from Sourcing Cockpit ?
If from SOCO, the Bid data can be completed with originating SC data. Otherwise data needs to be completed.
Have a look at "processing bids" part of bidding engine help:

It is stated that in case of contract creation, you have to complete the "user-defined" contract item to add data, for example product or vendor product number.
For PO creation, there is nothing about "user-defined" items.
I analyzed this process in an SRM 5.0, and it looks correct: added items are passed to the PO.
For local PO creation, all the logic is done in BBP_QUOTE_PO_CREATE.
Here are steps for SRM 5.0
- read quote details (items and additional items)
- read RFQ details
- retrieve RFQ long texts
- fill PO header and complete it with ACS & BUK attributes of connected user
- merge normal & supplier added items (GOOD !!!!!)
- process items
- complete partners
- process texts
- process attachments
- BADI to determine purch group
- create the PO with BBP_PD_PO_CREATE
So it should work.
Debug this process starting with function BBP_QUOTE_PO_CREATE, or open an OSS message.

Dialog Instance Java is not up after restoring the DB from Stand alone

Dear Gurus,
We are migrating our Stand alone Production (Dual Stack) system to Cluster hardware and we donu2019t have any dialog instances for Standalone Production system.In the process we have taken the backup from the stand alone system and restored in cluster.
After that, the dialog instance Java in is not coming up but central instance java was working fine
As per our analysis, due to only one entry is there for java in the stand alone database and the same database backup is restored in the cluster, the DI instance java is not coming up. Please any body give us the solution to resolve this issue.

As per SAP , it won't suggest or support the DB refresh. so did export and import then it was working fine.

PI 7.0 Java stack config of the stand-alone server to new cluster system

Hi colleagues,
we have a PI installation in stand alone server (SAP with abap +
java and Oracle in the same server)
The system number of the ABAP stack is 00, and we are conecting to the
Java stack to the for example the URL
http://hostname:50000/rep/start/index.jsp
We have installed a new PI in a MSCS and in some weeks, we´ll have to
copy the database and configuration of the stand-alone server to the
new cluster system. In the SAP PI installation on the MSCS, we have
confirmed that with the ABAP stack, we won´t have any issue because the
ASCS has the system number 00 (message server), so we only have to
install a SAP system in each nodes without care these new system
numbers because we are configuring a Logon group but the question is in
the Java stack... The SCS (service in the cluster) has the 01 system
number...
What is the best way to keep the same URL to the Java stack that in the
stand-alone server? (remember:
http://hostname:50000/rep/start/index.jsp )
Have we to install a Webdispatcher in the MSCS and one Java stack in
each node of the cluster? we think that is right but we have a lot of
doubts about the URL, the files of the Java (if they are stored in
local disk in one node, how are they replicated to the second node?)
and so on....
Could you give us any suggestion to make the "migration" from the stand-alone to a cluster in a transparent way for the users?

Our central SLD is on a standalone system
However slave SLD (to ensure autonomy and HA for production XI system) will be deployed on Java separated hardware system of Xi production system.
On master SLD all systems are described and all machine are linked with it (SLDAPICUST) except production XI one
On slave SLD, all data of master one are replicated and only XI system is linked with (SLDAPICUST)

Project Management in stand alone environment

My customer belong to professional service(IT delivery service) industry.
And they want to manage their projects by using PPM 5.0(cProjects).
One of my customer's requirement is managing their projects in stand alone environment.
That is to say, project manager excute the project in the customer site after contracting their customer project.
But customer forbid him to set network environment as VPN because of customer's securiy policy.
Can I meet custome's requirement by using cProjects.
Could you give me any good solution.

I believe the cProjects (PPM5.0) is the SAP solution provided for the such type of project management requirements only. You can use cProjects as standalone Project management solution, wherein you can plan, execute and monitor your projects from remote locatuons (customer site). You can use cProjects by using NWBC on HTML and / or Enterprise portal (EP). Please read for SAP Help and other SAP PPM 5.0 reference documents to get more details about how it will fit in your requirement.

XMLSignatureFactory fails in servlet, but works in a stand-alone program.

I am trying to write a servlet which will do XML signature et al. For the same, I am using JWSDP 2.0 (Java WebServices Developers Pack) on JRE 1.4.2_5. The servlet is hosted on SAP Netweaver 7 platform on Windows.
I am getting an exception:
javax.xml.crypto.NoSuchMechanismException: Cannot find DOM mechanism type
in the "XMLSignatureFactory.getInstance" line. I looked up in the documentation of XMLSignatureFactory and it says that the DOM mechanism should be provided by the provider argument - org.jcp.xml.dsig.internal.dom.XMLDSigRI in this case.

I tried the above 2 lines in a stand-alone Java client and they work without any issues.

I tried to add the "org.jcp.xml.dsig.internal.dom.XMLDSigRI" in the jre/lib/security/java.security, but then the server0 does not start-up.
Any hints/pointers to resolve this issue?

Add the following line to explicitly include the provider before the getInstance

Can we use both Stand alone and Extended classic in one SRM system

Our client is now using Stand alone SRM system with back-end R/3 FI-CO system. Now they want to go Extended classic scenario for few product categories.
         Would it be possible to use both in one SRM system? If possible could you please provide what are the sequential steps to do this?

How did you end up solving your problem, as i have the same scenario. Did you use this BADI (
SRM Server->Business Add-Ins->Control Extended Classic Scenario->Activate Extended Classic Scenario)? Based on my reading, it seems this BADI is relevant to switch between extended classic and classic scenarios.
From what i understand, we can control the standalone scenario via the define backend system configuration (SAP SRM -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend System for Product Category). In my scenario, I have one set of product categories, so i will likely need to implement this BADI (BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS, method:   DETERMINE_LOGSYS - SAP SRM -> SRM Server -> Business Add-Ins ->Shopping Carts and Requirement Items -> Determine Backend System / Company Code) in order to determine the correct backend system based on company/plant for example.
Did you then leave the extended classic scenario activated (IMG --> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server-> Cross-Application Basic Settings->
Activate Extended Classic Scenario)?
Or how did you achieve both standalone and extended classic using one SRM server?
