  • How do I change my default "SAP Working Directory" to the one I wish ?

    Hello Gurus,
How do I change my default "SAP Working Directory" to the one I wish ?
At the moment default SAP Working Directory to set to the following directory.
    "C:\Documents and Settings\T51273\SapWorkDir"
So, when ever I try to download a Report/Table Contents/Spool Request, SAP prompts me to save in the above SAP Working Directory, which is "C:\Documents and Settings\T51273\SapWorkDir". Ofcourse I can change the folder in the dialogue box, but I don't want to change the folder each and every time I download a report from SAP.
I wish to change my default "SAP Working Directory" to "My Documents" Folder. So that from next time,
if ever I try to download a Report/Table Contents/Spool Request, SAP should prompt "My Documents" Folder. That way I don't have to change the folder at the time of saving.
Full Points are assigned for an answer that works...
    Thank You,
    Nag.

    Hello,
A short question about transaction SO21:
Is this a local setting, per GUI?
Or does this affect all users?
I have a problem opening an attachment (Mandates).
SAP wants to save it to C:\Windows\System32\
I see that is stated at SO21.
If I change that to another (accessable) location, does that affect the opening of the attachment?
    Thanks!

  • Unable SAP Work Directory in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi,
I got a requirement to display SAP Work Directory path in Webdynpro ABAP application.
So I am using FM - IW_C_GET_SAPWORKDIR to retrieve the path. I can able to execute in SAP GUI but when I try to execute the FM in Webdynro ABAP, its going to the runtime error.
Suggest me to proceed further. Thanks in Advance!
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Illustrator needs a Relative mode switch or ability to set a Working directory for each AI file!

    Hi guys,
I thought I would post in here because I find I'm wanting this feature more and more over the past year.
This can apply to most of Adobes application but it would be great to see some file management functionality built into the applications themselves. This could then be further expanded in Bridge/Cue to incorporate more applications into the working project but at the very least the application itself the ability to control its own root existence.
On so many occasions I require Illustrators file linking feature to be relative and NOT absolute which it currently is. The only relative capability it has is if ALL the linked assets are in the same local directory as the AI file itself and this as everyone knows breaks the first rule of proper file management.
Many of the projects I work on uses many AI files with sometimes over 50 linked in assets in a variety of different formats from a variety of different clients (locations). I cannot easily move this project folder around without the painful task of linking all the data again and this creates a massive issue.
Ideally an approach similar to Autodesks Maya and Max where you can set project directories. This means all the Save As and other operations will default to that working directory for that file. All linked data will then use the projects working directory as its root and allow the project to move from location to location and not be affected.
This would Im sure benefit many other designers who work on projects with large amounts of data that may not live always in the same spot. For us we work with so many different people during a production that mobility is a must and at the moment we are finding it very difficult.
    As always, thanks for reading.
    Cheers
    Nick.

    Hello,
    First command
So what does the wiki meen by: "DEVPATH sets the physical device. You can determine this by executing the command
    readlink -f /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon-device/device | sed -e 's/^\/sys\///'"
Physical device of what, and what output am I suppose to get: Nothing, a list with output on where the symlinks lead, something else... In my case I got no output, if that is right, I do not know - since I do not understand what the command do.
    Seccond comand
DEVNAME: Sets the name of the device. Try:
    sed -e 's/[[:space:]=]/_/g' /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon-device/device/name
Does it meen like this - If I during my pwmconfig used hwmon1 wich was coretemp, and hwmon2 wich was nct6775, I should do:
    sed -e 's/[[:space:]=]/_/g' /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1-device/device/name coretemp
    sed -e 's/[[:space:]=]/_/g' /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2-device/device/name nct6775
And that will direct every occurrence of hwmon1 and hwmon2 to the correct sensor chip?

  • Managing JSP files (.java, .class) size in working directory

Our new web application automatically generates JSP pages which
causes the working directory holding the JSP files to grow
too large to manage, does Weblogic have a alternate way to
compile JSP without permanently storing the .java, .class files
              on disk.
Maybe in cache were they can be managed, cleaned up similar
to how a database cache works.
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
              THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Just don't look in the classfiles directory and everything will
              be fine.
WLS will only leave the .java files if you ask it to keep them (keepgenerated).
If you don't keep the .class files on disk then WLS will have to
recompile them every time it is restarted. If you have so many
JSPs you are having trouble managing them, you definitely don't
want to recompile everytime you restart WLS.
Last time I looked in our public_html there were 67000 JSP files.
We don't have any problems managing them.

  • Work directory getting full

    hi,
In my /usr/sap/SMN/DVEBMGS02/work directory getting full regularly,in my work directory its writing .dat files with large space.iam moving these files to another location daily, any permenant solution for this.
    Thanku

If you have enviornment ABAP + JAVA then this will be created with automatically
    at the following locaiton.
    /usr/sap/SID/INSTANCE/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/archive/.%2Flog%...........
But this happand usually if you have XI enviornment.  So create the os level script to find the file from above location and delete them automatically

  • Accessing File in SAP Directory

    Hi ,
I want to read and write file from SAP server directory.
Can anybody please guide me how to start with adaptor?
Can FTP adaptor help? And what all settings should I do on both sides PI n SAP?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Rohan.

It seems that you want to run file to file and file being on the same server in a shared folder...
Use NFS as protocol for accessing the file....but make sure that your system should be on network with IP address...
--->Can FTP adaptor help? And what all settings should I do on both sides PI n SAP?
for using FTP adapter FTP service should be "ON" on your SAP Server...
On both sides configure file adapter as sender as well as receiver..provide the required info.  at communication channel for sending and receiving the file..

  • Accessing file directory objects in 9.1 and /WEB-INF/classes zip

It appears that in WebLogic 9.1 that the contents of the /WEB-INF/classes directory is being zipped up and placed in the /WEB-INF/lib directory under some arbitrary name.
Is there a way to tell weblogic not to do this, but leave the /WEB-INF/classes directory expanded as it was in weblogic 8?
Is there a particular reason, developers should be aware of, to why this is being done in 9.1 (9.x?)?
    Background :
This particular app has a set of several hundred xml files that describe all of the screens (and thus the forms) of the app. They are used not only in the generation of the actual jsps (and believe it or not the action class as well as other supporting class, the app is really an interface to a legacy backend) but are also packaged within the WAR for the dynamic configuration of plugins used for complex validation; a quasi 'rules' engine.
While there are several different versions of the app, and thus several different versions of xml files, there is only one version of the rules engine.
The problem that has arised when running on 9.1 is the plugins access to those xml files.
The plugin attempts to load the xml files by creating File object for the directory containing the xml files, and then iterating through the contents of that directory.
The xml files are packaged within the /WEB-INF/classes directory and are thus accessible using a simple resource look-up (in actuality, a 'token' xml file is specified, looked-up as a resource and then used to determine the parent file directory's url).
This has worked well enough as 'most' servers deploy the contents of /WEB-INF/classes directory in an expandable fashion. Obviously, this strategy readly breaks when those same contents are jar'd and placed in the /lib directory.
It is prefered to not have to maintain a cataloge or index of the xml files because of the volume of xml files, the multiple versions of the xml files, and of course the volitility of the xml files, although this is an obvious option.
I personally have mixed feelings about using a parent directory reference to load a set of resource files within a j2ee app. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hi,
Usually, the best approach would be to just to load the resources as InputStream and have a catalog (and I know this is what you do not want to do :-) So the only hacky workaround that I can think of would be to use something like Jakarta Commons Virtual File System (http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/vfs/) and read the .zip

  • How to load files up one step from local working directory

    Good afternoon,
I have a project assigned to me that has some Ni TestStand code written to read files from a fixed directory and I would like to change this directory to be the directory where the TestStand seqeunce file is located.
Furthermore, I would like to be able to step back one directories and forward into a different directory. Is this possible? I know in linux his is done with ..\ preceeding the directory location
I want ot do this for variables in TestStand and also for pats in LabView.
Cna somebody provide me with the correct syntax, for example if
    my seq file is C:\User\Test\myseq.seq
and I want to open an ini file located in
    C:\Config\config.ini
Should I save the path for the variable as
    ..\..\Config\config.ini ??
    Thanks,
    -D

    1) If you want to use a relative path that is resolved the same way as a module path (i.e. using the teststand search directories where looking in the same directory as the sequence file is one of the default possibilities) you can do something like the following:
    FindFile("..\\Config\\Config.ini", True, Locals.absolutePath)
    2) RunState.SequenceFile.Path actually includes the sequence file's name, so if you want to build a path from that you would need to do something like the following to parse out the part of the path you care about (though maybe an extra ".." instead of doing this parsing works to get past the file name too, I've never tried that. Perhaps either way is fine.):
    Locals.absolutePath = Left(RunState.SequenceFile.Path, Find(RunState.SequenceFile.Path, "\\", 0, False, True) + 1) + "..\\Config\\Config.ini"
    3) Whether or not you need to build an absolute path or can use a relative path depends on what you are doing with the path, if you provide more details on what you are doing with the path we can let you know. In general, you should not use a relative path when calling a win32 API.  See the remarks section of the following where it says, "Multithreaded applications and shared library code should not use the GetCurrentDirectory function and should avoid using relative path names.":
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa364934%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
Though if you are calling a TestStand API then a relative path might be ok, depending on the API call, because some teststand APIs can use the TestStand search directory algorithm to resolve the path (basically the equivalent of 1 above).
    Hope this helps,
    -Doug

  • Periodic Message: You have some checked-out files in the working directory

    Hi,
we are recieving a periodic message (appearing every 5 minutes) saying:
"You have some checked-out files in the working directory. We recommend that you check in the files after editing. Click here to checkin the files.
After clicking on the message easyDMS is opened and Private- & Public-Folder are shown.
There are no checked out files on the client.
    What happened?
    Thanks a lot!
Edited by: B Lobascio on Feb 8, 2011 5:13 PM

After changing the Working directory in easyDMS preferences the message did not apear anymore.
That means that there have been some some damaged documents in origin working directory.

Below is the sample data to be inputted in the random file:
    Record Tool Name Quantity Cost
    Number
    3 Sander 18 35.99
    19 Hammer 128 10.00
    26 Jigsaw 16 14.25
    39 Mower 10 79.50
    56 Saw 8 89.99
    76 Screwdriver 236 4.99
    81 Sledgehammer 32 19.75
    88 Wrench 65 6.48

I have managed to fix your program.
    The solution
The records are sized by the various Writes that occur.
    A record is an int + 15 chars + int + double.
    WriteInt writes 4 bytes
WriteChar (Called by WriteChars) write 2 bytes
    WriteDouble writes 8 bytes.
    (In Java 1.5 )
    4 bytes + 30 Bytes + 4Bytes + 8 Bytes. = 46 Bytes.
The details are in the API for Random Acces Files at
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/io/RandomAccessFile.html
    The code for RandomAccessHardwareRecord line
public statis final int SIZE = 72needs to have the 72 changed to 46
This should make your code work.
I have hacked around with some other bits and will send you my code if you want but that is the key. The asnwers you were getting illustrated a bunch of bytes being read as (say) an int and beacuse of the wrong record length, they were just a bunch of 4 bytes that evaluated to whetever was at that point in the file.
When the record was written the line
output.seek((recordNumber -1 ) * RandomAccessHardwareRecord.SIZE);had SIZE as 72 and so the seek operation stuck the file pointer in the wrong place.
This kind of stuff is good fun and good learning for mentally getting a feel for record filing but in real problems you either serialize your objects or use XML (better) or use jdbc (possibley even better depending on what you are doing).
I would echo sabre comment about the program being poor though because
If the program is meant to teach, it is littered with overly complex statements and if it is meant to be a meaningful program, the objects are too tied to hardware and DAO is the way to go. The problem that the program has indicates that maybe it is maybe fairly old and not written with java 2 in mind.
    As for toString() and "Yuk"
Every class inherits toString() from Object. so if you System.out.println(Any object) then you will get something printed. What gets printed is determined by a complex hieracrchy of classes unless you overRide it with your own method.
If you use UnitTesting (which would prevent incorrect code getting as far as this code did in having an error), then toString() methods are really very useful.
Furthermore, IMO Since RandomAccessHardwareRecord knows how to file itself then I hardly think that knowing how to print itself to the console is a capital offence.
In order to expand on the 72 / 46 byte problem.

  • I have two creative cloud accounts one for work and one is my personal, can I access files and settings from both on one computer?

Basically I have had my creative cloud account for over a year and recently at work they just set me up with one. Can I keep both active on the same computer? My home laptop is sometimes used to do work so I would like to access files on either cloud drive as well as share program settings.
    Thanks in advance!

This is essentially my question as well - I have a personal CC account and I would like to use my personal libraries on my work computer.
Since that involves signing in to CC on my work computer, I am wondering if that will mess up my employer's CC license on my computer (or in general)
Anyone at Adobe have an opinion on this question?

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)
