Gayathri,
Is your SAProuter installed on the same server as Solution Manager, or on another server?  Since you said this was all working before when you were using SolMan 4.0, you must have already had a saprouter registered with SAP.  Do you still have that SolMan 4.0 system?  Or did you wipe it out before doing the fresh install of SolMan 7.1?
The SAProuter will have two IP addresses:  an 'external' one that you have registered with SAP, and an 'internal' one that is on your company's private network.  That internal IP address needs to be set up in OSS1 technical settings as the address of your "SAProuter at Customer Site".  In your screenshot, you had these fields blank, and as Shkelzen pointed out, this isn't going to work until you fill that in:

Matt

  • How to set Ibase in Solman?

    Hello friends!
I am trying to configure Ibase systems in solution manager for testing.
I want to create all my Systems(in landscape), so that the test team can assign the testers accordingly to the systems.
When I am trying to include the system in the Ibase, It is looking for Identification?
Any information on this problem will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Fr.
For Initially Creating and Assigning the Component Systems as iBase
    Use
To be able to use the Service Desk and Change Request scenarios in SAP Solution Manager, you need to define the Installed Base (iBase). An iBase component has to be created for each satellite system from which Service Desk messages will be sent to the SAP Solution Manager system.
The iBase components for the iBase structure SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (installation 1) can be created and assigned either automatically or manually. Note that these components and the assignments can only be created once automatically for every solution.  To refresh your existing iBase data execute IMG activity Manually Create and Assign the Satellite Systems as iBase Components(this is second step given under service desk-ibase path of spro).
    Requirements
You have defined your system landscape in the Solution Manager System Landscapes(transaction SMSY).
    Steps
    1. In transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER,  open a solution.
    2. Choose Edit -> Initial Data Transfer for iBase.
The data is copied automatically. The iBase systems for the solution are automatically assigned to SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (installation "1"). An iBase component is created for each system installation number (which can be displayed by choosing System  ->  Status).
For each solution repeat these steps.
In Spro goto solution manager advance config service desk-ibase and read the IMG help provided you can very wel do thesame.
Please reward points for the same.

  • Setting up of WF - BATCH for invoices released through workflow

    Hi all,
i have set up the standard workflow for the Invoice Park and post which is working perfectly for the invoices. From the inbox the invoice is released by executing the work item. when i check the invoice document, the document is not getting posted, i believe there is a need to set up the user WF-BATCH, Could any body please advise as to how to set up the WF-BATCH so that the invoices get posted in the background.
    Thanks a lot in advance....

    Martin,
Thanks for your reply. But, my question is, what and how can we tackle the witems that are struck.
For example, in my case, the user has already taken decision from Portal side and he got a message that the approval task was successful and the witem is gone from his UWL. But, during this time, WF-BATCH was locked and so the "Result Processing" step that was done at the end of every witem execution, didn't happen. And hence the next witem also was not generated. But, if you see the wflow log, the witem status says, "COMPLETED". But if you expand the log for this step, then only we can see that the "Result Processing" was not completed by WF-BATCH.
In this situation, will the SWPC be useful in troubleshooting the COMPLETED witems ? Pl clarify. I don't have access to SWPC right now and will definitely explore this.
My biggest concern on this is, let us say, we have somany TRIP's in the middle of the approval process and the managers have already approved from their end. But, if the WF-BATCH is locked and no one noticed for a while, then it'll be a big task to identify each of these witems and Re-process them, even with SWPC,Right ?
    Please update on this.
    Thanks
    venu

  • Need ff to release proxy setting - uninstall of new versions won't release

In the past our systems used a Proxy server, now they don't, and when FF opens it takes forever to open because it is trying to access the proxy. I have been able to remove older versions and it would ask in the uninstall if I wanted to keep settings (i believe user settings), if I checked the box during an uninstall, it would release the proxy server data on the new install. Then when I reinstalled FF, it would pull settings from IE and Internet settings. Newer versions keep proxy server settings, even though I remove Mozilla from C: Program Files. I have set up the settings as an administrator, and then when another person logs on, it doesn't pull the setup data. How can I get around this, I love FF, but I have many users that want to use it but they think it doesn't work so they use other browsers. :-(
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Instead of deleting your profile, try creating a new one. Here's how:
    '''Create a new Firefox profile'''
A new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also should come with completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder. '''However, if there is a lock file in Firefox's program folder, those preferences will be pushed into the new profile settings as well.'''
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run) -- type or paste the following and press Enter:
    firefox.exe -P
    ''Don't delete anything here.''
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
Click the Create Profile button, assign a name like March16, and ignore the option to change the folder location. Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
    Any improvement?
When returning to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the Delete Profile button. But... it's a bit too easy to accidentally delete your "real" profile, so I recommend resisting the temptation. If you do want to clean up later, I suggest making a backup of all your profiles first in case something were to go wrong.

  • How to set the overall credit status as "partial release" on SO header?

    Hey guys,
Do you have any idea on how did the overall credit status become "partial release" on sales order header level?
Because as my understanding in SAP, i am not sure whether there is a way to partial release a sales order with multiple item lines.
    Jasper

    Hi balajia,
after seeing your description i have gone to VKM4.
i have executed OVER ALL CREDIT STATUS with A.
then i am able to see one sales order with OVCS - 'A'.
then i have given OVCS as 'B' & also "C' -  i am not able to see any sales order OVCS as B & C.
that means here there are options to use if OVCS in sales order status is B or C as it has executed for A.
    so,
some where in sales order program it is hard coded i think so - i am saying this because there is a link between sales order header:
    Delivery status      Not delivered
    Credit status        Not performed
    Overall blkd status  Blocked
so if it is hard coded with B and C also you can use these options in VKM4.
that's is what my R & D on this says.
    regadrs,
    balajia

  • Installation problem with SolMan on SUSE 9,0 / Oracle

    Hi Experts,

Can you give me any advices how to solve this problem and finish the installation?
    Grateful for help.

    Hi Dolores,
    Thank you for your advices.
I would appreciate further assistance with this problem because I couldn’t work it out jet.
I logged in to the Visual Admin by using go file in usr/sap/HSM/DVEBMGS01/j2ee/admin.
The Visual Administrator screen is opening but I cannot connect in.
The error message popping up is "Cannot open connection on host xx.yy.xx.yy and port 50004".
    The login parameters specified are:
    Display name: j2ee
    User name: Administrator / (J2EE_ADMIN)
    Host: localhost
    HTTP Port: 50004
    Load balancing method: manual
    Transport layer: default
I tried with two different username, see above.
I also tried DDIC user logon via ssh command in Shell console, but didn’t succeed.
Here is the information in some of those files your mentioned:

  • SOLMAN monitoring of SAP XI/PI interfaces

    Hello! ALL
We have been leveraging SAP XI/PI monitoring capabilities using the Alter Framework: ALRTCATDEF and setting up alert rules in RWB.
However, we would like to start leveraging SOLMAN monitoring features for monitoring SAP XI/PI interfaces.
Please, let us know if anyone has been using SOLMAN for monitoring SAP XI/PI AE & IE interface errors AND how it can be done; so that we can work with Basis in getting this set up in SOLMAN.
Any info - or - documentation and links related to SOLMAN monitoring of SAP XI/PI interfaces would help.
    Your help is greatly appreciated!!
    Thank you,
    Ritu

    Hi,
Please check below thread. You can use BPM functionality of Sol Man for Monitoring.

  • Solution Manager 3.2 SR1 Install Problem

    Hello everybody,
I'm having a hard time trying to install SAP SolMan 3.2 SR1 on Windows Server 2003 x86_64 with Oracle 10.2.
I have installed the OS and Oracle 10.2.
When I start the installation of CI of SolMan after couple of screens it gives me the error:
CJS-00030  Assertion failed: No db client software version available in tORA_ClientVersion for client type AMD64
I have searched for days google and other forums and couldn't find an answer.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Stanislav,
The current Oracle 10.2.0.2 is at level patch-14 ( http://service.sap.com/swcenter-3pmain). So, that patch (10202_Patch14_MSWINX86-64.zip ) should be fine,
Also there you will have Oracle Install client  OCL10264.SAR.
But, I'm now thinking of the point Markus mentioned earlier about compatibity in 6.40 kernel and Oracle 10g. You might have a look at note 949116.
In that case it might be you will have to go for SolMan 4.0 (based on WAS 7.00). If you are only using ABAP stack (no Solution Manager Diagnostics), they must be almost same.
    Cheers !!
    Satya.

  • SMD Version for Solman 7.1 on SLES10.3

    Hi
We have set up a Solman 7.1 and need to install an additional SMD because Solman was a distributed install.
We use SLES 10SP3 as operating system, but Solman 7.1 requires SMD 7.30, which requires SLES 11.
What is best practice? Install an earlier SMD or disregard the warning (prerequisite check error) during SMD install?
    BR
    Kanan

    Hi,
I would suggest you to go with SAP recommendation if it does not supported then don't install it otherwise in production environment, you will not get any support from SAP if it does not supported.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Install SolMan 4.0SR1 instead of 4.0 !

    Hi all,
I know, SolMan 4.0 SR1 is out for 8-12 weeks now, but unfortunately - mostly because of older shipments - some customers still do have 4.0 (SR0) which is really complicated to install. As I had just yesterday again a customer trying this, I wanted to please ask you to check the SolMan packs and then order an SR1 if you shouldn't find SR1 on the SolMan box.
I did 4.0 SR1 installations totally smooth without any issues (perhaps 1-2 repeats - but that was it). So, thanks a lot to the IBM/SAP team for creating this SR1 package instead of trying to make the 4.0 package possible with "millions of notes" )

What's your question?  Is it OK?  That's entirely your call.
You'll not have access to the new features in Xcode and Objective C and iOS 5, including the integration of Interface Builder into Xcode 4, and the Objective C ARC reference counting features.
But what you'll have should work.
You'll end up sorting out the examples and documentation that has dependencies on the newer versions, but that's expected.
The developer forums see more traffic, and (if your'e getting started and not in the developer program) you'll want to avail yourself of the mailing lists including the Apple Xcode User's mailing list, and discussions such as this one at StackOverflow.
