Satellite A305-S6872 internal modem configuration for call waiting

Can someone point me to instructions for configuring the internal modem (suppose to be V.92) to work with call waiting on a Satellite A305-S6872?  I would like to be able to hear the phone ring when a call comes in when I am connected to my ISP so I can decide if I want to take the call.  Currently, I can configure the settings on my ISP to work with call waiting but I cannot hear the phone ring when I get a call.  My ISP tells me I have to configure the modem in the laptop.
Thanks.

Won't hurt to reinstall the driver. There are three listed for your model. The first two have the same version and release date, but the file size is different. Try them all.

    Hi
The Satellite A305-S6872 seems to be a Toshiba US notebook and therefore you should take a look on the Toshiba US driver page:
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp
There you should find your notebook model and the drivers.
    Cheers

will RAID 5 be optimal settingFor most definition of "optimal" the answer is "NO"
    RAID+10 provides better performance.

  • After installing 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4 I no longer get notification when another call comes in when I'm on another call. In phone settings I no longer have the icons for call waiting and call forwarding. My carrier is sprint

I no longer get notifications that another call is coming in when I'm on the phone. In the settings under phone I do not see any availabilty for call waiting or call forwarding. I had this feature before installing the new update 6.0.1.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer.  As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you.  I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
    Best.

  • Is there any way of recording a voice message for call waiting?

    Hi,
I currently have the call waiting system set up on my iPhone, so i can see when other people are trying to call me whilst already on a call.
However i would like the caller to know that i'm aware of their call so was wondering if there is an app or any software where i am able to record a voiceno

What I'm saying is call waiting is a carrier feature so a recording to interrupt the incoming call while you continue to talk likely would have to be implemented by the carrier. I don't have a recorded message for call waiting but call your carrier to find out if they offer such a feature.

Internal Modem is set up to dial........ how can I undo this so its on the broadband scene again? I have been searching hard drive etc to find how to configure it but no luck there.

    Hi barbaramac:
Could you provise some more details as to your setup, how do you connect to the internet? DSL Cable?
Assuming you have a home network with a router, you need to go into 'System Preferences' and choose 'Network', select either 'Ethernet' or 'Airport' from the drop down menu whichever applies and 'configure IPv4' by DHCP on the TCP/IP tab. That should do it.

  • Satellite A305-S6872 - S/P DIF output port (shared with headphone port)

The A305-S6872 manual specifies that I could use the same output port of the headphone  to get the S/PDIF digital sinal.
Can anyone help me to understand what is the right cable to use this output to take the audio digital signal to my home theater (which has a digital coax as input)?
If I use one cable P2 to RCA, the RCA and has 2 plugs (as P2 is stereo) - can I use one of the jacks to plug in the home theater coax digital input?
    Tks for your assistance,
    Best
    Rodrigo

    It's an optical digital out.
You need a optical mini to Toslink cable.
And, of course, a reciever or other decoder with an optical input.
The cable would be like the following:
    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10229&cs_id=1022902&p_id=1557&seq=1&format=2
Oh, and don't overpay for a cable from some big name brand, you're just paying for marketing smoke and mirrors.

  • Internal Order Configuration for a new company

    Dear Experts,
Hi! I need help on the Internal Order creation for a new company which previously not maintained the Internal Order. Can Experts can provide me the T-code for the configuration. Any guidance given is very much appreciated. Thank you! _

    Hi,
What figures do you have in mind? I/O is a cost collector, thus, if you have a cost which is to be posted on the I/O you should mention when creating a FI/MM document. For example, if you have FI doucment which is posted, let's say, via FB50, you enter your relevant I/O in the document line.
    Regards,
    Eli

  • Toshiba Satellite A305-S6872 (Blue Screen of The Grim Reaper) I HAVE ERROR CODES.

Last night I performed a completely hard drive data erase because of startup issues I was having. Now Windows will not boot at all. (grim reaper blue screen) The information I'm getting is "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

Volsnap.sys is the Volume Shadow Copy Driver.
I performed a completely hard drive data erase...
    And this occured immediately?
I would restore the hard disk once more just to be sure that this is due to a hardware malfunction.

  • Re: Satellite A305-S6872 media control buttons driver?

Ok, so I just got this laptop on Sunday.
It has the media control buttons on it, but they won't work.
I've read a few posts about it, saying that I need to download the Control driver..
Well, I spent hours last night looking for it. :\
Anyone have the direct link to it?

    Hallo Kitsune
Try to reinstall Value added Package. You can download it from Toshiba support page. If you have US notebook model please visit http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp
    Hallo Glead
In users manuals is described that this button is not for 2 functions but just for one. Either for MUTE or for enabling/disabling the LEDs. I have Satellite A300 too and this button is for disabling LEDs only.
Have a look into this symbol and you will see it is not speaker but symbol for light.
Compare it with symbol on ESC button and you will see it is not the same.

  • Toshiba Satellite A305-S6872 Will not start up

I have the above mentioned computer and it is 2 years old. Last year in January the hard drive crashed and had to have new one installed at Best Buy. Now it will not start up. When I turn it on the Toshiba screen displays with F2 and F12 options. Then the creen goes black and the following displays:
    Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
    Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
    For realtek RTL8101E/8102E PCI-E Ethernet Controller v1.07 (080320)
PXE-E61: <edia test failure, check cable
    PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
I insert the recovery CD and it says windows loading files then has a screen that says Selecting a Process: Toshiba Recovery Wizard or System Recovery Options. I choose System Recover Options and then choose English language and US keyboard layout. Then the following screen comes up: Select an operating system to repair .... If you do not see your operating system listed click Load Drivers to load drivers for your hard disks. When I choose Load Drivers I do not know where to find the OS driver. When I click Next and choose Startup Repair it says it is unable to fix the problem automatically.
I don't want to choose Toshiba recover Wizard because it says it will erase everything. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday Feb 5!!!
During normal use of windows 7 the computer crashed and went through the same boot procedure as described by the previous poster.
Now I can't do anything with my hard drive. I tired everything. I even tried restoring it from the backup image that I have, but it said that it cannot find hard drive!
I do not have Toshiba Recovery. Can I download it from somewhere?
Does anyone have any suggestions? After booting from Win 7 Recovery Disk, I even tried fixing the MBR and partitions, but I would always get an error message that the system doesn't support the software I tried using (guessing because it's 64bit?)
Please, any suggestion is most welcome and appreciated!!!
    Thanks,
    Djape

  • A305 - S6872 Laptop CD/DVD Rom does not show up on "My Computer"

How to I fix this problem. There's a "!" mark in the "Device Manager" for the cd/dvd rom drive.
    "!" DR7164O OHV364L SCSI CdRom Device
    "!" TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633P
There's also a "!" on the networks adapters.
    "!" Microsoft 6to4 Adapter
    "!" Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #2
How do I fix these problems because updating the drivers will not fix it and make it go away.
if you can help, that would be great.

  • Internal modem keeps displaying it is busy

    Hello,
When I send a fex, it works the first time, then, it allways shows that the modem is busy, and no way to have a second fax sent !
I have check with the activity monitor, there is only modemd running, as root
    of course, I have rebooted...
The only solution is presently to totally reset the printing system... Then I can send one new fax.
Waht is strange is that there is another user on this powerbook, whith much less software than me, and much less change somehow everywhere, just a basic user... And for this user, the fax works correctly...
Could it be the pref ? I dare not so much to delete them, and which one?
    Big thanks !!!!!

In the System Preferences/ Network/ Internal Modem/ Configure
Click on the PPP tab at top and then near the bottom of that window, click on the PPP Options button.
Make sure that the box is not checked for "Connect automatically when needed".
Also make sure the "Prompt every" so many minutes is NOT checked.
