Hi  PhiPsiVol354
corrupted CMOS occurs when there is strange problem happen to laptop
Not necessary that corrupted CMOS prevent laptop from booting , may laptop boot successfully but CMOS not recognize the component of your laptop like sound card or video card or any other part specification .
so you need to load default BIOS setting to CMOS , but it fails to load default BIOS because corrupted CMOS needs to be cleared first before loading default BIOS.
this work (clear CMOS) is done manually by connect jumbers together inside laptop motherbaord
OR
By using software like HIREN BOOT CD ( this is famous Repair cd ).
follow this steps:
1-  Search internet to find and download (HIREN BOOT CD) cd image. or ask any friend may he has that cd
   ( prefered to choice v.9.7 or v.10)
2- If you download (HIREN BOOT CD) from internet ,Burn that cd image to cd with low writing speed.
3-Insert that cd into cd driver ,at laptop startup press F12 to boot from cd .
4-Menu appear , show:
   -boot from hard drive
   -boot from cd
   -load mini windows xp
select second option ( boot from cd)
5-another menu shows with numbers browse to find (BIOS/CMOS TOOLS)
enter that section you will find many tools select from them (KILLCMOS).
6-Run (KILLCMOS) tool , it will show confirmation message ( ARE YOU SURE WANT TO CLEAR CMOS),press arrow button to select (YES) , after clear cmos done , press ESC button to exit ,then press (ALT+CTRL+DEL) to reboot system , and  immediately enter to BIOS setting by press F2 .
7-Load default setting by press (F9) and save change and exit (F10).
8- the system restart and enter to windows .
9- If process failed to solve the problem , Repeat it again.
Good luck
I hope this will solve your  problem.

No sound sound from speaker recently upgraded to iOS7.0.2

I have this problem too, .
I upgraded my iPhone4 today. Immediately my phone is defunct, and I cannot find any workaround listed anywhere online for the phone, only for the iPad2.
Reset All Settings as per iPad2 advice had no effect except to make me have to re-enter all my settings again.
The volume bar is greyed out in Music settings, and has no visible point on the bar where the volume is defaulted to.
The greyed out bar doesn;t change when the volume buttons are pressed.
However, sometimes the ringer volume logo pops up and changes when I do this, but not always.
However when I call the phone, the ringer is always at full volume, as it was immeditely prior to upgrade.
When I press either up or down volume button the ringer silences completely, immediately, and cannot be resurrected by any manouvers.
Only another call will make the ringer sound.
When I answer the call, the phone is mute though the mute button is not highlighted.
Toggling the mute makes no difference.
Selecting Speaker mode makes no difference - it is mute.
Selecting either up or down volume buttons has no effect.
Using the Jack output is silent.
I cannot hear music, youtube videos, BBC news clips, or any alerts.
    Vibrate is still working.
Trying not to get angry again with another Apple "UPGRADE" disaster - but frankly - I can't even make or receive a phone call - is this fixable???
PLease does anyone know how to dothis?
BTW, being iPhone 4, of course the Home button doesn;t work, so anything involving the Home button must be able to work with the Accessibility Home Button software.
Desperately: How do I downgrade to previous iOS 6 last version?
    Grim.

  • My satellite L675D-S7015 all of a sudden, no sound from HDMI

I have a satellite L675D-S7015.  It came with HDMI out, blu-ray player and all the bells and whistles. Up till a week ago the only thing I had to do to it was replace the screen after my friends kid broke it. But last week, I lost all sound to my receive. Now I have checked everything I can...made sure it was set to default....in the sound icon and by going through the realtek HD audio mgr. Made sure nothing was muted and all that good stuff. I then went into my device mgr...only to see that my ati HD HDMI driver had been replaced by some generic HDMI sound driver. I've uninstalled this several times and reinstalled the Realtek driver...only to have it replaced again.  Is there a way to stop this?  or what do i need to do to fix it?  the generic HMDI driver will play sound, but I have no control over its settings it seems.  And also...I thought that HDMI was more than just stereo?  but the realtek HDMI settings, even when I have the box checked for it to allow true dolby d and dts, it doesnt give me any other optin in setup other than a stereo one?  am I missing something?

I found this on the Microsoft websiite. (I am assuming you are running a Windows 7 machine)
Windows 7 auto update overwriting Realtek audio drivers on startup in Windows 7
And here is another thread in our forums stating the same issue.

  • IPod touch 4th gen  - no sound from speaker dock

After upgrading my 4th gen iPod touch o iOS 5, the speaker dock no longer works. The dock charges the iPod, but iPod still continues to output sound from the internal speaker rather than the speaker dock. My iPhone with iOS 5 works fine on the dock. I have restored the iPod to a fresh state but the problem still persists
    What could be the problem?
    Thank you

Based on your troubleshooting, it would appear theat iOS 5 on the iPod made the dock incompatible.  Have you loked at the dock manufactore's support site?

  • All of a sudden loud sound from the right

All of a sudden my macBook Pro is making a loud sound from the right which I think is the fan? It happens when I first turn it on so it is not too hot.
I'm concerned because my last ibook g4 had a dead hard drive in less than a year..this sound is somewhat similar to the clicking hard drive, but forgive my ignorance the hard drive is not on the right?
Is this a normal new sound? Does feel that way.
    cursed with macs.

    MissWit,
Its the fan, you got two one in each side.
I have same problem, but mine often appears when the MBP is warm or let me say been running for a while, at the same time I feel vibrations when I touch the casing or maybe housing is a better word, well the aluminium cover...
I am 99.9% sure the hard drive is located to the left.

  • 7921G and absence of a sound from speaker.

    Hi.
No sound from "ear's speaker". There is sound only when I switch on backside loudspeaker.
It is not hardware problem - two devices behave equally.
    7906 works fine.
Test enviroment with CUCM 7.0.2 and basic default configuration.
    What's wrong?

If it works when in speakerphone mode but not in handset mode, then definitely appears to be a hardware issue.
When you are in handset mode, does it show an icon that there is a headset plugged in?

  • Satellite U300-11V: Suddenly no sound

    Hi all,
I am getting no sound from my laptop. Everything has worked fine for about 8 months but the other day suddenly there was no sound at all. Checked that it wasn't on mute (derr) and that the drivers were all up to date - everything looks fine. Just nothing coming out.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance

    *@urianunu*
Possibly the tiny switch which is placed in the headphone jack doesnt work correctly.
This switch controls the output between the headphones and speakers.
Try to plug and unplug the headphones several times. Maybe it works then.

  • Super weird crackling sounds from speaker

Hello .. I have just been sent an LG S1 laptop and I have installed arch on it successfully. Only thing is, main speaker doesnt work. I know its functionnal, cause I had heard it from the initial vista install. Now, the headphones jack does work. And also, I use to own a very similiar but somewhat lower end model, the LG T1, which uses basically the same drivers and all, but the sound did work on that one.
Now what worries me a bit is that from time to time ill hear odd crackling sounds from the speaker. At one point, when I was trying to make XGL work with KDM, it did it to the point I thought my laptop was gonna explode.
Anyway, the fact that the speaker doesnt play sounds I can kinda live with, might just be a configuration issue; the crackling sounds howevevr, even though they rarely happen are like nothing ive ever heard or seen or whatever and they kinda worry me. ..
    any ideas guys ?
(the best way I can describe it would be like what an "explosion" sound on an old nintendo or other 1980 game console sounded like.. like a broken up saw wave .. very odd)

again if it means anything, I had an LG T1 not so long ago with relatively the same hardware for audio and I don't recall kernel 2.6.22 causing any problems. Only booboo with that one was that pluggin in headphones did not shut off the "external" speaker.
Now, since then I have gotten this new S1 model because the T1 had an unresolvable LCD screen issue and I got screwed by the vendor and its long story but they sent me this much higher end model, and the sound doesnt work on that one - but I cant compare with previous kernels because none other have ever run on this one, and I cant compare also because its not the same machine.
But like I said, the T1 and S1 probably have very different main boards, but the sound "hardware" is supposed to be the same - and one the T1, Im pretty sure that 2.6.22 gave me the sound I wanted.
Guess ill try downgrading later see if it works ... right now im planning a move to 64 bits anyway, and am waiting for the newer ati fglrx with AIGLX support to be released to do so ..

  • Suddenly no sound to speak

I've been using an X-Fi platinum without any problems for many months. I have used it in XP Home and have also been using it with Vista RC2 using a different boot dri've. A couple of weeks ago, I lost sound going to the speakers - and I have no idea why. I can plug headphones into the front dri've panel and hear sound just fine. I have tried changing the detect headphones setting in the console but nothing works at getting the sound back. The same problem exists in Vista so it can't be a driver or computer configuration problem. The speakers are properly?hooked up (analog connections). This sound like a broken hardware problem - I haven't tried disconnecting the platinum dri've panel - that will be next. Any ideas on what could have caused this?SJ

Have you ever figured out your problem? I just installed my x-fi platinum yesterday and I seem to be having the same problem right of the hop. I get sound from the front panel but not from the back of the card. When I try to connect the speakers by putting the minijack into the other line-out on the rear of the actual card I get some sound from the the subwoofer line-out but no other and most importantly not the one my 2: speakers should be plugged into.

  • Suddenly no sound from speakers and only from headphones

    Hello,
    I have a HP 8440p VQ664ET#ABU Elitebook laptop running Windows7 64bit pro.
Since today I'm experiencing the following problem:
    1) no sound is heard through speakers when headphones are disconnected.
    2) If I connect the headphones, the sounds are heard correctly through them: this is the expected behavior
I don't think it's a speakers hardware problem because I can make the speakers play sounds for one or two seconds like this: while a sound is being played, such as music file for instance, if I move up and down the headset volume cursor (regardless if headphones are connected or not) I can hear the played sound through the laptop speakers for a few seconds, after which the speakers mute again.
    So to summarize:
    1) Headphones disconnected: no sound from speakers
    2) Headphones connected: sound from headphones
I rebooted, suspended and restored without any luck so far.
I'm under the impression that there might be a problem with the headphone jack: it is like the laptop always thinks that the headphones are connected and therefore cuts the output to the speakers.
    Any clues?
    Thanks
    Sergio

Try installing the sound drivers from the following weblink:

  • TS2634 Suddenly no sound from headset on calls.  Speaker does work when activated.

Why can't I hear incoming calls on headset, yet I can when on speaker.  Was working just fine for the past year.  Did I do something that needs to be undone?

Try disconnecting the headphones and then adjusting the volume, does it say headphones?
There might be something in the headphone jack, maybe lint, dirt, or something else in there.
Take a look at this Apple document for more information -> iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers

  • No sound from speaker after upgrading?

I just upgraded my iBook Clamshell 466 SE Graphite with more memory and a new 60GB 7200 RPM Hitachi hardrive. I also upgraded from Panther to Tiger with a Black Retail DVD.
First, I installed the memory and then the following day, I installed the hardrive and OS.
After installing the hardrive myself (30+ steps with the ifixit.com instructions) and installing Tiger, I no longer have sound through the mono speaker although it was working perfectly before. It took me about an hour to carefully and meticulously disassemble and reassemble my laptop while removing tabs, screws, cables, etc. and being organized about it.
I'm not sure why I no longer have speaker sound but the headphone jack still works with sound. I double checked that the speaker cable was properly connected on both ends. I don't think it's a ciruit board issue since sound is still being delivered through the headphone jack.
Is there a way to run some sort of diagnosis as to my sound problem? How do I check my firmware version and is it possible that I need to update? I appreciate any help in advance...

I always try to leave the speaker cable connected to the logicboard (as well as the HD cable) during the installation of the new HD - simply remove the adhesive foil and let it slip through the hole in the EMI shield.
Otherwise you have to wrench at the cable to come out, and that might be the problem.
For testing purposes, try to connect a set of earphones with bare cable heads to the end of the cable or directly to the solder joints of the integrated speaker.

  • Have an iMac Early 2008 + Windows 7 and no sound from speaker out? SOLVED!!

    Hello everyone,
So I'm pleased to say after over a month of trying to solve this annoying problem, it's been solved! Basically, if you have an iMac, Early 2008 edition (8,1) and Windows 7 and notice that the default microsoft driver gives very low sound and the new realtek drivers only give sound through the internal speakers... then this solution is for you!
    What you'll need:
    7-zip (www.7-zip.com)
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Disc 1 (NOT Snow Leopard!)
Here's what you'll need to do, step by step:
    1) Uninstall the Realtek Driver (latest version currently 2.37) by going to Control Panel / Programs / Uninstall Programs.
    2) Reboot. Upon reboot, the system will automatically reinstall the default Microsoft drivers. You can check this in Device Manager (control panel / system / device manager).
    3) Insert the original Leopard Disc 1 that came with your iMac (very important, as this is the only driver I know for sure will work). Point windows explorer to the folder: D:\Boot Camp\Drivers (assuming d: is your cd-rom drive).
    4) Copy the "RealTekSetup.exe" file somewhere on your desktop. Do NOT install it!
    5) Decompress "RealTekSetup.exe" by right clicking the file and choosing "7-zip decompress". Again, you'll need to make sure you installed 7-zip from 7zip.com prior to doing this.
    6) Go to your Device Manager again, right click the sound device (which should be something like High Definition Audio) and choose "Update Device Software".
    7) Select "Browse my computer for driver software" and direct it to the folder that you extracted the drivers to.
    8) You now have sound through your EXTERNAL SPEAKERS!
This works because there is a bug that RealTek/Apple does not seem to want to fix where the newer version of the RealTek control panel detects the speaker out as line in and the line in as nothing! This forces drivers normally made for Vista or Vista64 to install on Windows 7, which work 100% great.
I promise you, if you have an Early 2008 iMac, this WILL fix your problem if you follow each step! Let me know if you have any questions!
    Brad Levicoff

If you don't have any Leopard disk then just google for "Vista_R199.exe".
This driver works nice on Early 2008 IMAC. I also tried an earlier version, Vista_R182.exe but there sometimes was a horrible background noise which made listening to music impossible.
Just download and follow the instructions above in the first post.
    Have fun.

  • No Sound From Speak

I freely admit I know next to nothing about sound cards...
However, a neighbor is having problems and I said I'd investigate:
She runs Windows XP on a brand of PC I failed to recognize.<
She bought new speakers 2 months ago, and they worked fine until last week when they suddenly stopped working<
When I go to the Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, and click on the 'Audio' tab, the pull down box has only one item for playback - Creatve Soundblaster PCI. I have not opened the case of her processor<
I have checked the volume levels everywhere - everything is set to max - nothing is muted<
Everything looks okay in device manager - nothing disabled in "sounds, video, game controller'<
If I unplug the little green jack from the back of the PC and plug it into a portable PC player, the speakers work<
I've read the forum's FAQ and would have tried the Standard Troubleshooting techniques, but hourly attempts to read any of the articles at [color="#ff0000"]http://us.creative.com/support/kb have only yielded the message "Knowledge server is not running please try later."Any ideas on what to try next? Should I just go out and buy her a new sound card?
    <

Jeremy, you might want to inform the webmasters about the error that was shown at http://www.soundblaster.com/products/li've24bit/compare.asp
edit 2 - Also, try and clarify if Dolby Digital Decoding is possible with this card. I remember reading somewhere ( I'll find that page later) that there is hardware Dolby decoding.
