Satellite C660 - how to enable and Use WAKE ON LAN?

Hi All,
I previously posted asking about using Wake on Wireless LAN and was very helpfully advised that this was not possible, so I have started to explore the Wake ON LAN option.
I have a Toshiba C660 PSC0LE-00500JEN and have enabled Wake ON LAN on the BIOS, and have connected a LAN cable between my wireless router and the laptop, both of which recognise each other so the cable seems ok.
However, whether I use a WAKE ON LAN app on my android, or I use an online "wake on lan via browser" site, the laptop still remains asleep.
Can anyone advise?

The Wake Up on Lan option would work if you would send an Magic Packet to the remote machine (notebook).
I have no experience using the Android app who knows if it function properly
Try other method. For example using an software like Wake on Lan for Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Google for that to download this software.
Furthermore go to device manager -> LAN card -> Properties -> Advanced tab and check here if the WOL is enabled too

How to enable and use drag capability on MacBook

I have early 2009 MacBook white, with trackpad having one button. (hope you all remember)
I want to enable and use dragging capability. How can I do it?
Anyone can show me via pictures or video, how to enable and use drag.

It says double tap for dragging, I have even enabled it, but it's not working.
Can someone show how to use double tap for dragging?

[845 Series] MS-6507 - How to enable and configure On Board LAN

I have a very old Medion PC bought from PC World ages ago, which has MS 6507 Mother Board (256MB RAM, 1.7GHz...). It is still surviving and serving its purpose of net surfing chatting along with others. Till now it functioned as a standalone PC. I want to connect this PC to a LAN now. How can I do this? I found from the MS-6507 manual that there is an on board LAN connection? How do I enable it?
On the backside of my PC I do not find any RJ-45 jack connection, but I do have two USB ports.
Please respond and send me the answers quickly or else I may be conned / forced / compelled / mis-sold a LAN card worth some few bucks equivalent to buy few liters of pure alcohol for my Monday Morning tonic consumption. All thanks to the local broadband cable guy who belives he can sell that to me quicker then I can find the solution

There are many series to the MSI 845 chipset and your mobo is an OEM mobo from MSI to Medion and Medion do reserved the rights to have modifications to the board as well as the BIOS.
I can't say much about Medion MSI OEM boards but for the retail versions of the MSI 845 chipsets, there are actually versions like "Standard" only whereby only the standard stuffs are available like USB, onboard sound, onboard VGA etc but for LAN 10/100Mbps, Firewire and RAIDs are all optional depending on the versions.
For now, I can only say that you may want to reach back to Medion's website and find out from their products list on your system specs.

My mac pro (SL 10.6.8) wakes up every minutes when I use wake on lan and share a HD. when I unplug the ethernet it doesn't wake so I suppose that some thing wakes it up on my network ( 2 mac books, 2 iPads and 2 time capsules !) How can I fix that?

When I unplug the ethernet cable it doesn't wake any more so I suppose that some thing wakes it up on my network ( 1 printer canon MP620, 2 mac books, 2 iPads, 2 IPhones and 2 time capsules !) ...even when all these devices are "sleeping"

Henning, most of the people that transition from WebSTAR to iTools Apache use Formication.
Formication is a Perl version of Flexmail, so it has all the features of Flexmail, plus more. It was designed by one of the developers of the original Flexmail.
When you convert from WebSTAR to Apache you can keep your script intact.
With iTools, all you need to do is to add the action:
Flexmail /cgi-bin/formication.pl
and the .flx handler,
and the scripts run unchanged.

By default, as shipped by Apple, .htaccess files are
ignored. You need to explicity enable then in
/etc/httpd/httpd.conf
Both 'Action' and 'AddHandler' (the two directives in
the .htaccess file) require FileInfo override for the
directory. Therefore, at the very least you need to
add:
<pre class=command><Directory /path/to/your/form>
AllowOverride FileInfo
Directory></pre>
to your httpd.conf so that apache will read the
.htacess file.
Alternatively, since you have to edit httpd.conf
anyway, you might just want to add those directives
to the <Directory> block, which will save Apache
having to read the file each time the form is used.

In your view, you have to add the UI element TabStrip. You will have an empty tab strip then. Right click on the tab strip, and add a 'Tab'. Continue in this manner to add as many tabs as you want. Each tab will have a header, specify the tab title in that.
Now go to each tab, right click and insert element. You could insert any element like a table, Input fields etc. Event handling has to be done separately for these elements. At the tabstrip level, you need to handle only the onTabSelect event. This is the event triggered when you change tab selection in the tabstirp. In the properties of the tab strip, there will be a field selectedTab. Specify the ID of the tab which you want as selected. This will be your initial selection.
You can also enable and disable tabs, say grey out tabs that have no data etc. All this can be done by context attribute binding.
You can also refer to the view by name TABSTRIP in the component WDR_TEST_EVENTS.

I need to know how to access and use the Blue Tooth device that comes with the Thinkpad W520

Forgive me for being a techo illiterate. But I know that this thing supports Blue Tooth. And one "problem" with it is although it has a DVD and sound card, music and movies have very lousy audibility. Is there something I can do about that? I can barely hear anything on a movie unless I plug in head phones to the computer. But that leaves me stuck in my seat. I'd like to get cordless headsets. I was searching for how to setup the 903+ and my W520 and came to this thread.
1. The OP was asking about audio and there are updated audio drivers / tweaks to get it louder / install different drivers.
but if you are going to go BT headset....
2. What I did for the 903+
Uninstalled the currently installed ThinkPad Bluetooth program. ( I forget the exact name, came stock and was out of date).
Required reboot.
Activated the Bluetooth with FN + F5 menu.
Downloaded the updated Bluetooth driver from lenovo (search lenovo driver matrix).
Ran the updated Bluetooth driver install.
Rebooted for good measure.
Double-clicked the Bluetooth Tray icon.
Clicked Add A Device.
Turned off my 903+ and continued to hold down the power to enable pairing mode.
Showed up in devices and added it.
Worked for audio. There are probably additional options for enabling the mic.
Hope that helps whoever might find this thread.

But in fact, the "Dynamic Overclocking" item still do not appear in Frequecy / Voltage menu. Therefore, I cannot enable any MAT mode even I use PCI display and disabled onboard display !
Does any expert can help me, please ?!
P.S. Should I use APG display card instead of PCI display card to get MAT available ?

which plug-in do you want to install?
some of the plug-ins come with an installer on the disk image, you click the installer and it will install it in its proper location.
For others you move the plug-in into to System Library or your User Library:
Your Hard disk > Library > Application Support >Aperture > Plug-Ins > Edit
or
Your Home Folder > Library > Application Support >Aperture > Plug-Ins > Edit
If it is an "Edit" plug-in, it goes into the "Edit" subfolder, "Export" plug-ins into the "Export" subfolder.
You can tell by the extension, what kind of plug-in it is.
E.G. BorderFX.ApertureExport is an export plug-in, BorderFXEditPlugin.ApertureEdit an edit plug-in.

P.S. In OS Lion the Libraries are hidden by default: To reveal your User Library activate the Finder and select from the main Finder menu:
    Finder > Go , then hold down the ⌥-option-key, untill the Library appears in the drop.down menu.
To show the System Library:

Then how to create and use mutable array of UInt8 pointers?
The main target is a creation of the module that will store some byte array requests and will send all of them at the propriate moment.
