Satellite L500-PSLS9A-02C012 function F8 not working

Hey guys basically I reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 32 bit onto my laptop and my function (FN) key stopped working so I installed TVAP and flash card support and a few others from the Toshiba website but heres my problem...
When I press FN nothing shows up on the top of the screen like it used to but I can use F6/F7 to change the brightness F5 to change the display ect all still work bar F8 therefore I cant turn my wireless on which is a real pain.
Any help would be very muchly appreciated,

You have reinstalled Win7 using original Toshiba recovery image?
Generally speaking all you can do now is to reinstall TVAP or flash cards support utility.
Have you tried to restart flash cards? Do this and press FN button several times.

Best way to test functionality is to install original recovery image again and test hardware with factory settings.

Satellite M100: touchpad corner functions do not work

Hello
My Satellite M100 quick launch functions on my touchpad have quit working. The touchpad works fine but the corner functions on it dont. It wont even recognize me hitting the corners when I go to the quick launch setup area.
I reinstalled the touchpad drivers. I cant find anything else on this site or the internet dealing with what I have.
Please help.

Are you talking about Touch and Launch utility? If yes, start this application manually and check all settings. Be sure this utility is not disabled.

Satellite L550-207 some function keys not working

Hi,
I've read a lot about this problem, but got no solution for mine: all funtion keys except F8 (wireless) and F9 (enable/disable touchpad) work fine.
Already insalled VAP - reboot - and Flash Card Support Utility, does not seem to help.
I am using Win7 -64bit (with latest updates), newest bios, firmware and newest version of all pre-installed toshiba products.
Any idea for help?

FN+F8 disable or enables WLAN card and FN+F9 controls the touchpad functionality. So if all other keys work, it sounds like you have forgotten to install WLAN and touchpad driver. Have you installed them?

Satellite Pro A120-10W - Function keys not working since hard drive wipe

Hello,
I have a Satellite Pro A120-10W running Windows XP Pro SP3, and have just had my hard drive wiped, because of viruses. Everything seems to work fine, but I cant use the function keys to change the brightness etc. I have looked at various help forums however most seem to give answers for Windows 7 or vista. 7

As you can see in other threads, you need special drivers/tools for FN keys to get them working because there is no Windows standard driver for these keys.
Anyway, you have to download Common Modules as Akuma wrote. After installation the keys should start working again.
You can download the tools on official Toshiba website.
If you have problems with installation or it was successful, just post some feedback. ;)

Satellite L300 - Hot key function is not working

After the superb help I got from Jimi I'm hoping I can solve my last problem, I have changed my OS from Vista to WXP and I have managed to get all drivers working even though some from the Toshiba site dont work like the Wi-Fi, I have managed to acquire from other places. The only one I cannot get to work is the hot keys , It states TOSHIBA COMMON MODULE NOT FOUND! Everything else works o.k. after using Nlite (Cracking Bit Of Kit)
My Laptop Is the Sat L300 - 1AQ Model PSLB8E-OOKOO

Ivan is right. You must install Common modules. It must be installed at first before you start to install any other Toshiba designed tools or utilities.
Common Modules is kind of basic software and all other tools can be installed additionally. Because of that it is very important to install Common Modules first.

Satellite C660-17L - Some TouchPad functions are not working

My touch pad functions are not working:
- I can't use it to scroll up and down
- I can't use it to zoom.
What should I do to fix it?

Yes the model number is Satellite C660-17L
And no I didn't install the touchpad driver.
I Have had this laptop for less than a month, I started it one day and tried to scroll but it didn't work.
Also i tried to search for the advanced settings under the mouse option but I couldn't find it.
When I enter the search directly into the search bar, the mouse option comes up but when I click on it, it asks me if I want to uninstall the synaptics driver.
I have no idea what this means but I click no and it comes up with all the mouse setting options.
What should I do now?

Satellite L850 - Special function key not working properly

Hi Everyone,
I had Satellite L850 (pskg8a-07f001) running windows 8 64 bite for just 2 months.
Just within this week, the special function key not working, each time I start the pc, i have to go into toshiba desktop assist then function key then click ok, it will working.
But the touch pad has been set as enabled, also under keyboard setting has been set as special function mode. But don't know why each time start the pc have to go into function key box then click ok.
When I bought it everything is ok, i can use the special function key to turn up and down the volume and disable wireless...etc

You can use the traditional FN + F key mode or just an F key mode.
This can be enabled and disabled in BIOS or the HWSetup
In BIOS go to Advanced -> System configuration -> Function key mode
This mode can be changed
Also be sure that Function Button option is enabled too

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
Also close all apps completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

When an order with remnant model is copied, it copied only the topple model line and they include items attached to the top model line. It doesn’t copy the
option class lines and the option item lines (unshipped and shipped).
Example-
Enter an order with for pd-pto-model. See order#21231.The ordered quantities and structure of the model is shown below:
pd-pto-model 5 qty
pd-std-item1 (included item) 5 qty
pd-pto-oc (option class) 5 qty
pd-std-item1 (included item with rfr checked) 5 qty
pd-std-item2 (option item with rfr checked) 5 qty
pd-std-item3 (option item) 5 qty
Booked the order and pick relased the order. While shipconfirming only shipped 5 qty of pd-std-item3 and staged the rest. On querying the sales order, the line status is seen correctly as follows:

Sorry I had to reply through your profile Gail from Maine, my PC has java issues. In any event, when I delete them directly from my device everything is perfect and cool. However, in the rare instance I want to add new music that I actually buy in stores (I know, quite the unique and old-fashioned idea...but hey Im an audiophile) once I upload the tunes, everytime I sync my library it re-adds everything that I spent hours deleting. In a perfect world, I thought I could maintain a massive iTunes Library, and add or delete (remove) songs from my iPhone to save both memory or keep my iPhone selections more current/apt to my musical "tastes" at that time. I know about the whole playlist thing, but thought there might be an easier way. ie - checking/un-checking the little box next to the song name, and then doing a sync. Again, everytime I do this however, whether everything is checked or un-checked it adds the entire library! So frustrating. Any suggestions. Thank you graiously in advance for your help.

Palm Desk Top 6.2 Address Look Up Function Does Not Work In Windows 7

I recently upgraded my desk top computer's operating system from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium.  I synchronize with a Palm Tx PDA.  HP PalmOS customer support Chat helped me work through a compatibility issue that was preventing display of Address, Calendar, Memo and To Do items on my desk top computer via the Palm Desk Top 6.2 application.  I now find that the address look up function does not work (although it worked fine when I was running Vista). Without success, I tried running the repair tool as well as reloading the software (both overlay and clean reinstall). I would appreciate any help or suggestions to fix?
