Satellite L675 is locked in a loop of "configuring system"

I have a Satellite L675 pre-loaded with Windows7 64-bit, because it was very slow so I decided to recovere it to the factory default out-of-box.
But it has now been locked in a loop of "configuring system" with several reboots for more than an hour - does that make any sense?
Regards,

Hello
The recovery process takes a very long time and your notebook will restart several times during this process. A lot of drivers and tools will be installed so its not unusual.
In my opinion you should wait a little bit longer until recovery installation finished successfully. Just relax during this time with newspaper and coffee ;)

Didnt read the issues with iOS5 until i've updated my iPhone 4. Restored 3 times and it is still locked in a loop of - Apple logo, loading, and a flash of "...restore successful...few steps away..." and buzz. Please help

At the end of a Restore, you will be asked if you want the current iPhone to be synched as a New iPhone or use the current iPhone's settings. Selecting the former since to have solved the messaging problem. If u have done back-up of the "old" iPhone on iTunes, then your New iPhone will be the "old" iPhone too after synching with iTunes :)

My Satellite L675-S7016 freezes when I don't work with it 5-10 minutes and only if plugged with power cable, on battery power no problem with freezing.
I switch off sleep options in power manager on all power profiles, but problem still here.
Who ever met the same problem? How to solve?

od, what computer do you have? Does it ever "unfreeze" or do you have to power it down? When does it freeze?

  • Satellite L675 has tinny sound

Sound problem on Toshiba Satellite L675
I purchased a Toshiba Satellite L675 laptop, running Windows 7-64 bit, and noticed that when I play music, videos, etc, it sounds like there is no bass - sound is very tinny.. I have tried updating both the Intel & Audiotek audio drivers, from Microsoft and Toshiba, but the sound remains the same. Both driver updates said I had the most current drivers; plus the hardware check said the cards are working properly. And when testing via the hardware check it sounds absolutely NORMAL!!! However, when playing music, vids, etc. the sound stays the same whether playing via internal speakers, external speakers, and/or ear pods. I have even tried playing from the DVD/CD drive, however - and again - the sound remains the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fast Ed
Additional comments ... when running sounds (eg. notification sounds, like the "pulling your fingers down a keyboard") the sound is PERFECT!!! why when playing music it doesn't get a crisp, clear sound. Instead it sounds almost mono, with no bass, and down a tunnel.

Please include your full model number when posting problems on the forums. It can be found on the bottom of your laptop. "L675" is only partial.
Does this happen in multiple programs or are you using the same media player for all the tests? Try using alternate programs to determine whether or not the application is causing the problem.
Right-click on the speaker icon in the notification area and select "Playback devices." Selct your speakers and click "Properties." Under the "Enhancements" tab, uncheck everything if anything is checked. If everything is already unchecked, try using the equalizer to see if you can correct the audio.

  • Satellite L675-11H - Can't access and/or read files on USB flash drive

    Hi all,
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L675-11H and was trying to transfer files from a USB flash drive on my Toshiba hard disk. The files have been previously transferred from my old laptop (HP - XP) to my USB flash drive.
My new laptop can't access the USB flash drive at none of the USB ports I connect the flash drive to. What might be the problem here? Thank you for your help or any helpful advice!

    Hi Rush,
Can you post more detailes about this behavior? What happens if you connect the HDD to your notebook, do you see that Windows installs drivers for new USB device or do you get an error message? If you have connected the USB drive check the disk management of Windows if its recognized there (Control panel > system and security > Administrative tools).
Have you already tested other USB devices such as USB mouse? If they dont work too the problem could be related to USB ports. In this case you should remove all USB ports from device manager and restart your notebook. Also update the chipset driver could help.

Since upgrading to Lion OS 10.7.1, the wifi connectivity keeps blocking up intermittently and we need to manually keep switching on and off the wifi utility to get the connection back. even locking the preferred wifi network in system preferences does not help. This never used to happen with Snow Leopard

This is a big thank you to Rys Sinnefeldt who posted this fix.
Rys has made this fix very easy to do and takes literally 2 mins. It involves replacing the Atheros Lion driver 4.0 and replacing it with the snow leopard driver. Don't worry, Rys has made this so simple to do even I could do it and so far I have had no more wifi drops.

  • Intallation loop after configuring X in Solaris 8

The installation program gets into a loop after configuring X.
It test my X setting, attempt to continue the installation, laungh a X test screen, goes back to the logging screen and says "All devices configured" go back to X test screen and then bag to the log screen and says the same "All devices configured" again. And it does it forever.
Does any one has an idea what is going on?
    Thanks

Try to "bypass" the X11 server configuration, and finish the

  • Does locked documents in sm12 can cause system to slow down in reading

    hi experts,
When I check locked entries in sm12, i found some locked entries which are already past 8 hours and sometimes more. Do those entries contribute to the system's slow performance? When should I delete those entries? I hesitate to delete locked entries and kick users out of the system because they maybe editting some documents and have'nt saved them yet.
Thank you in advance for your response.

    Hello,
System Lock mechanism doesn't slow down system. But sometime it's required to delete the entries of hanged uses login processes, which can be done through SM04/AL08 as described by GURUS.
But sometime though you try to delete from these T-Code the process doesn't get delted, then you can proceed for the below mnetioned two steps:
    1. SM50 and delete the corresponding process through PROCESS > CANCEL WITHOUT CORE
PROCESS > RESTART AFTER ERROR -> NO
    2. If you have access to OS level, then the same can be deleted by following command:
                                                                                    kill -9 <process no.>
In case any issue, please feel free to revert.

  • Satellite L675-S7052 - USB boot option available?

    Hi guys,
my friend just bought new laptop from US (Satelitte L675-7052), and he would like to install Windows 7 from USB. His BIOS is AMI v1.4. USB legacy is enabled in BIOS but USB boot option still doesn't appear in boot menu.
Does anybody have solution for that BIOS (laptop model) , please? He sent me some screenshots as well:

    Thx for any reply :)

    Hey, thx for reply.
It's my friend's laptop and not mine :) And the reason why he wants to install Windows 7 from USB is that I adviced that to him. As I have older Satellite laptop and I prefer to install it in that way - it's faster and i guess more precise :) Plus, my Mat****a DVD mechanic has been screwed for one year now (and I am not going to pay 200 $ for a new internal DVD mechanic at all).

  • Satellite A100 is locked due to the fingerprint BIOS & user password

    Hi all
I've got my A100 at my job, with TouchChip fingerprint recognition a year ago. On the initial installation I have recorded my fingerprint from the windows interface.
Six months ago, I had to reinstall windows XP because of a non repairable virus infection. I've installed WXP and downloaded all the drivers and additional software from Toshibas site.
I have NOT recorded again my fingerprint, and I have NOT enabled the TouchChip software this time. My entire problem was only an annoying message at logon time that said "You haven't recorded your fingerprint yet . . ." and that was all.
After a 2 week trip out of town ( My A100 was locked in my desk, powered OFF-no connection to mains) at the first boot, TouchChip software came back from the grave ! ! !
"TouchChip Bios Extension" screen appeared after power on, and my finger is required to load in WXP ! ! !
At WXP user logon dialogue the additional message "You haven't recorded your fingerprint yet . . . is still here, but I can NOT boot the machine at all, without my fingerprint. After some digging in PowerProtector suite (?) I found an option that said "Enable or Disable the use of fingerprint for BIOS System and User passwords" or something like that.
I disable this, and the machine asks for reboot. This was the last time I saw the desktop.
After the boot the system asks for password. BUT I HAVE NOT SET ANY SYSTEM OR USER PASSWORD!
    Is this possible?
    I've done something wrong?
    What's the solution?
I'm locked out; I don't know why and how the BIOS is locked with a password (so I can't unlock it).
    Please somebody help.
    Regards, Georgios

I don't know what exactly A100 notebook you have but it looks like the notebook was delivered with the preinstalled Vista OS.
You have installed XP and the single XP drivers from the Toshiba page.
But from my understanding the BIOS must be updated too! The Satellite A100 series supports an special XP BIOS version. If the BIOS was not updated then the notebook could run not correctly.
I don't know if this could have a bad influence on the fingerprint but nothing is impossible!
However, fact is that BIOS asks for the password. If you don't know this you will have to delete it on other way...and this can be done only by an authorized service provider in your country.
Ask the technicians for the help and explain the whole story! Maybe they will remove the password for free!
    Bye and good luck

  • My HP DV7 4107 doesn't work. Caps Lock flashing in loop

Hi, my HP (Entertainment Notebook HP Pavillion dv7-4107sl) has a serious problem and has stopped working.
The only signals of life are the Caps Lock (that flashing in loop), the fan and the CD player.
I tried to restore the BIOS through the USB Flash Drive and through resetting the jumper.
The laptop returns to work, but after few hours the problem returns. I don't have any idea how to fix it.

  • Satellite Pro 6000 locks up and the screen has weird random pattern

    Hi
I recently bought a SP6000 second hand advertised as having "graphics problems". After 10 minutes or so use the laptop locks up and the screen has a weird random pattern all acorss it. The speakers also make a strange buzzing sound. i have to shut down the laptop and reboot.
I updated the bios and the videocard drivers from the toshiba site but it is still doing it. Can anyone help?

You need to make sure that you have a very steady hand and you have a .4mm soldering tip. The joins are very close and surface mounted, one slip of your hand and you can end up soldering 3 or 4 of the connections together and then spend 30 minutes trying to desolder them.
Just like the page said, use a dental pick, or a small plastic pin and see if you can move any of the pins around. I must warn you though, the more you press down and flex the laptop to turn it on the more damage you have probably done to the pins, you may end up with about 8 of them disconnected from the board. Dont use a high wattage soldering iron either...10 to 15watt iron should do the trick. Tin the tip, let it heat up and tap the join between the board and the pin for 1 or 2 seconds and it should do the trick. Easy way to know is you should have a nice shiny bead of solder connecting the pin to the board. If you have that then it has taken. if you see only a dull grey colour then it hasnt taken and is a "dry" solder joint.
One thing you should do before soldering, take some non abrasive rubbing alcohol, dip a cotton swab and rub all along the joins in the top and bottom. Solder oxidises after time...if you dont take the oxidisation off your more than likely to suffer from dry joints. The pins on the right of the connector (front of the laptop facing you" will probably be the ones which have came loose...check them first on the top and bottom of the connector.

  • Cannot update Video Driver on Satellite L675

    Hi all!
I have problem i bought 675 like 7 months ago for 1099. Since it was the top "gaming" laptop and as time pass i updated my Bios. Since then everything going wrong and i updated my Bios like half year ago after 1 month when i bought laptop.
Like i sayed, as the time passed i start geting like lag spikes if i watch videos, playing games, lisening music.
It put like frezze noise, like pc frezes for 2sec and squiks realy anoying.
    Don't know how to fix.
I guess its problem of procesor i5 or cuz bios.
Then when i tryed to updated my Display driver there is no freaking way to updated its just mission impossible.
Toshiba didn't care a bit to make updated drivers for costumers even if i tryed to download it from AMD official site.
It says cannot updated driver since its not suported and it says that i go to toshiba website for new drivers and there are no new drivers for my pc.
So i stucked and new games need new drivers like few games dont wana start cuz i dont have updated my drivers.
    Its ridicules.
I hope that u will be able to help me up with my drivers to update. If not... oh well altest i know why not to buy another toshiba laptop if they dont care about costumers.
Thanks and sry for my bad english.

The only thing that i think of is to find newer drivers from other satellite laptops with similar graphic card.
    I searched a bit and find [those|http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp].
    Select Satellite C Series:

    8.783.3
    C850
    10/05/12

You can also try downloading 64 bit drivers. There is a possibility that they include 32 bit as well.
