Satellite P100: Why the Nvidia 7900 graphic card is not available in UK?

Why is the nvidia 7900 gpu not available in the p100 in UK? In mainland Europe & Middle East the 7900gs is available. The 7900 gtx in the states is available.
Why?

Hi
I dont believe that its not possible to buy a P100 with the Nvidia 7900 graphic card in UK. If you cannot purchase it form the notebook dealer in your city so I would say check the notebook online shops.
I have investigated a little bi and found these P100 units with the nVidia 7900 graphic card.
Satellite P100-426; P100-194; P100-191; P100-196; P100-215; P100-222
I have found three different graphic cards which were delivered with the P100:
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900; GeForce Go 7600 and Intel 945GM Express
Anyway, the P100 is a new notebook and possibly you cannot buy it in every shop but in my opinion in several times this unit should be available in the UK with the GeForce Go 7900

  • Wifi Not Working!!! AMD Graphic Card Drivers Not Available as well!!

Hello Everyone, I bought this HP 15-ac025TX (M9V00PA) Notebook laptop and I am having the same problem that others on this forum with this notebook are having i.e. wifi is not working/available and AMD/Intel Switchable High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver is not available for download. I saw one solved post regarding this problem but the guy had Windows 7 32 bit and also I couldn't understand much that was discussed in that post. Here is the link to that post: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Wireless-Internet-Home-Networking/Network-controller-amp-USB-controller-driver-not-found-and/td-p/5177717 And yes, I have downloaded all the available drivers on the hp site. Help Needed!!

Hi: These wifi and BT drivers should work... Wifi: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71528.exe Bluetooth: This package contains the Broadcom bluetooth driver and software for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions. File name: sp71440.exe I reported the graphics driver problem to HP a couple of weeks ago.  I hope they get that sorted out soon!

  • Does the fan on Macbooks with Nvidia Geforce graphic cards run less often?

I have a Macbook Core Du0 1.83ghz running 10.6.3. Each time I watch a video on youtube or watching Flash or other multimedia animations, my fan run super fast.
Is it the same with the new Macbook with the Nvidia Geforce graphic card?
Does the fan on Macbooks with Nvidia Geforce graphic cards run less often?

Watching videos taxes the GPU and CPU. That's why the fan runs faster - to cool the computer. When you aren't doing much the fan slows down. This is true of all the laptops regardless of which GPU is involved.
Since you have the first generation MB model, it runs hotter than later models that incorporated some changes to the cooling system making the fan run faster during idle. You can accomplish a similar result using the third-party fan control software, SMCFanControl - VersionTracker or MacUpdate. It can be used to increase the fan's idle speed to 2000 RPM. This won't make the fan run any slower when the computer heats up.

  • Installed graphics card does not support the opengl features recommended

I've installed FCP6 on my PowerMac (PPC G4 DP 1.25GHz), and when I run it, I get a warning ("...installed graphics card does not support the opengl features recommended...") and the program ends. The graphics card is the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro (64MB)
I'm looking for a definitive answer regarding my hardware compatibility with FCS2 (specifically, FCP6). I'm NOT looking for an answer along the lines of: your system is too old to run this.
I've checked the minimum system requirements from the apple website (http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/
    and http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/download/):
    * A Macintosh computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, or Intel Xeon processor
    * 1GB of RAM
    * An AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)
    * A display with 1024-by-768 resolution or higher
    * Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
    * QuickTime 7.3 or later
    * DVD drive for installation
I have all that stuff. What I'd like is to know which component of my system is FCP6 complaining about (vis-a-vis the error message above), alternatively, if someone has had success with a similar configuration, I'd like to know anything they think might help.
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice you may have.

The minimum would probably be an nVidia Fx5200 or an ATI 9600...

  • Today I stupidly tried to install CUDA accelerator forgetting I have Intel/AMD combo graphics card and not NVidia. Now when I try to launch AE or PremierePro I get this Last log message was: 140735120521568 GPUManager 2 Sniffer Result Code: 3 Help

Today I stupidly tried to install CUDA accelerator forgetting I have Intel/AMD combo graphics card and not NVidia. Now when I try to launch AE or PremierePro I get this Last log message was: <140735120521568> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 3.  I have trashed the CUDA program and reinstalled Premiere and AE but no joy.  Same message followed by another error box with options to Retry, Send to Apple or ignore.  I have tried all 3 options but nothing works!  Every time I launch either program same message appears.

Hi? today i too have this problem.
    I found a solution here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/25137524#25137524
    Now all good.
    Good luck!

  • Will the new ATI graphics card work on PowerMac G5 Quad?

    Hello,
I'm having a problem with my PowerMac G5 Quad, simply the graphics card is at fault. The rest of the machine is in perfect working order. I need a new graphics card and i've searched ebay (UK) and found some products. However, I would like a new graphics card with a little more power.
As I develop code using the OpenCL API on the windows machine, I would like to transfer this process over to my Mac (have to install OpenCL API myself, as Leopard does not have native OpenCL support). More importantly, OpenCL supports selected GPU types i.e. latest GPUs from ATI/Nvidia.
Simply put, would anyone know or have experience installing the newer ATI/NVIDIA generation of Mac Graphic cards on PowerMac G5 Quads and if so, which graphic card (ATI RADEON 4850 etc).
As I think about this, both PowerMac G5 Quad and Mac Pro utilise PCI-E and yes, even though graphics cards are not particularly interchangeable on different architectures (or are they?) I would just like to know if anyone can give me advice or if anyone has had success or failure at such an attempt.
I really cannot afford to buy a Mac Pro machine and there is still many years of life left in my PowerMac G5. I really need your help and advice friends.

    Hi-
    Welcome to Discussions!
No modern card will work in a G5.
The best that one can do in a PCIe graphics G5 is to use a flashed Geforce 7800 GTX 512MB card.
That card is the pinnacle of GPU power for a G5.
There are no options beyond that.
Here is a full, "short" list of options:

  • Nvidia 7900 GFX card now out!!  When will Apple offer it???

Nvidia 7900 GFX card now out!! When will Apple offer it???
Hoping to get one and run Aperture with it sooner rather then wait months like usuall. PC users always get to use it before us
Where can a person order the 7800 from anyway??? Anyone know?

This would be more of an Apple request than Nvida idea. Apple have certain G5 customers to keep sweet (specificially ME!) who want to trade-up. NVida is not going to decide to offer a specific 7900/7600 card for such a low demand. So its Apples decision, i guess, to make the request, set engineering specs and prices. NVida might just want to charge a steep premium to customise the card bios, debug and then test it. Apple really need to put effort into this for our sake.
All this may be irrelevant IF there is a contract between Apple and NVida that states nVida supply 'latest and greatest' video cards no matter what technology nvida is using. Who knows.
What is worrying is we are such a small quantity of (dual-core) users who need a card upgrade that some toad may think it not worthwhile. Time will tell, but Joe Scherr's (sp?) comment on the 'dual 6600' thread is encouraging.

  • Need new driver for nVIDIA 7900GTX graphic card (OS : Mac OS X 10.4)

Any one know where i can get the new driver for nVIDIA 7900GTX graphic card (OS : Mac OS X 10.4)

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/7seriestechspecs.html
Pls visit above nVIDIA web page.
based on NVIDIA web pages, 7900GTX supports MAC OS X.
    but .....seems not so far.

  • I have a late 2009 iMac, with a Nvidia 9400 Graphics card.  I was wondering what my options are for upgrading.  I use Windows 7 via Bootcamp, so I need a card that is compatible.

I have a late 2009 iMac, with the default Nvidia 9400 Graphics card.
I was wondering what my options are for upgrading.  I use Windows 7 via Bootcamp, so I need a card that is compatible/has available drivers.
This is for gaming. On the lowest settings of "Call of Duty 4", I get about 100 FPS... Was hoping to be able to play on higher resolution w/o the fps lag.
I'm not good with the hardware part of computers at all, but know how to get around the OS.

In most cases the graphics cards in iMacs are Not upgradeable.  They are usually soldered to the logic board.  RAM is considered, along with harddrives, the only component that is upgradeable in an iMac, unlike in PC's.  So basically you would need to sell your unit and purchase an iMac with a more powerful graphics card.
    Hope this helps

  • What temperatures are acceptable for the CPU and Graphics card?

I have Intel Xeon X5400 series CPUs and a Nvidia graphics card.
It is interesting to monitor the temperatures but only if you know what temps matter...
What temperatures are acceptable for the CPU and Graphics card?
I was not sure if this is the document of choice for the CPU or not. I was not sure I was decifering it correctly either.

Any one know what we should be watching for as far as what is too hot?
    I have a ThinkStation D10.
Did not see this in the user manual but could have missed it.

    I found my specs:
    Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           E5405  @ 2.00GHz
You are correct. An E series.
I was so focused on the upgrade to the X5420 that I forgot what the system came with.
So what should I set my sensor high value to on my sensor program that shows up on the panel (taskbar)?
For the E5405 or the X5420?
SIDE NOTE: where can I get 2 E5420s or better cheap?
Not ready to give up my filters just yet. I live in a dust factory!
My girl friend sews really nice bags but creates sewing dust and fuzz.
And well there are natural fibers everywhere...
    So other than the the X5492 (150watts),  the X5482, X5472,  X5470, X5460, X5450 are all 120 watts.
Like the bulk of the X series...
    The E5405, E5410, E5450, E5440, E5420, E5430, E5470, E5462, E5472 are all 80 watts.
The L series seems to all be 50 Watts.
For many the other Processors see this:

You don't need to care about graphic driver on Mac OSX. It includes in OSX and run the driver your MacBook need.

  • Error: The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum system requirements by Aperture

I have a Mac Pro 3.1 10.5.8 and Aperture 2.1.4.  My NVida 8800gt with 512 mb was over heating so I brought and install the ATI radeon hd 5770 to replace it.  Now when I try to start Aperture I get this message "Error: The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum system requirements by Aperture".  All other software works fine, ie photoshop elements and Safari.  When I install my old card aperture will open with no problem, but of course the card will overheat within 10 mins and I will have no video.  I have search on google with no luck.  Will upgrading to Aperture 3 fix this problem?

    5770 requires 10.6.5.
The 8800GT - there is the 350* bake in over 10 minutes - 50% or better chance
you can find 8800GT on http://myworld.ebay.com/macvidcards/
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23049/smcfancontrol

Fan control helps with FBDIMMs which need to be kept under 70C too.

  • Just got this error message - The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements for Aperture

Help.  I have an iMAC - not even one year old - just got this message - The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements for Aperture.
I have not made any changes to my machine. Help  - I can't get to my images

    Try restarting your system.
If that does not help, we will need to know your Aperture version and MacOS X version. And do you use an external monitor? Then disconnect it before rebooting.
