Saving messages in Outlook

I am using Microsoft Outlook for Mac 20111 and have been able to save emails by clicking FILE and SAVE AS.. Now I do not get the option to 'SAVE AS..' only 'SAVE'. I want to save the emails as a file but can no longer do it. Any ideas what has changed. I am running Mac OS 10.6.8.

This is not the case in my Outlook 2013 client, I'm not able to tick these two options at the same time and this is how Outlook works.
Try to test by sending yourself an email, and see which one really works. The issue might be caused by some corrupted settings, try to launch Outlook with /cleanviews switch and see if it will correct the issue.
Press Win + R and type "outlook.exe /cleanviews" in the blank box, then press Enter.
Note: The /cleanviews switch will wipe out all custom views and return all default views to "factory default".

I Wonder if your sitting there laughing at us as if there is some big conspiracy about selecti all and deleting all from our iPhones and iPads.
The conspiracy.
Why can we not just not select all in the mail inbox and then delete all, if we do not want to delete every single one of them then deselect the few that we do not want to delete instead of having to select the thousands we do want delete individually.
And if you do make a mistake and delete the wrong emails by selecting all, then go to your trash and reinstate the ones you did not want to delete
I think 99% of us know how to DELETE emails individually, as you put it.
That's just sarcasm and if not then then your not fully understanding the question asked.
I would also say that probably 99% of us want to be able to select all and delete all if that's what we desire.
I would just like a honest answer of why we cannot select all delete all rather than giving me a load of rubbish about encase we delete something we didn't want to delete.

6300 download saved messages to Outlook for iphone...

We are about to start to use iphones, and I need to download all contacts to Outlook. My question is that does the software also allow you to download messages as well? thanks in advance.
PS - if anyone has any suggestions on how to do this easily, I would be very grateful. We are porting the numbers across and so I can't upload/download easily. Thanks.

PC Suite will synchronise your handsets with Outlook.
I don't believe the iPhone is capable of importing text messages though.
But Nokia PC Suite will allow you to print off any you want to keep.

How to convert Outlook Express6 messages to Outlook 2007

I down loaded the .dbx file form the laptop (XP)with OE6 to a file and installed that file on the Win7 desktop with Outlook 07. I have not been able to import the messages to Outlook 07. I did ask this a week ago and got a responce from Hal but it's not
in "My Threads". Thanks for any help.

I have met this issue before and I solved it by this method.
I downloaded DBXconv and saved it into a directory with a copy of my Outlook Express mailbox files. I ran the following command to extract the messages into .eml format.
dbxconv -eml *.dbx
The utility quickly created a folder for each of my .dbx files and created an .eml file for each of my messages. I was then able to import the files into Outlook 2007 by:
1) Dragging the .eml files into Windows Mail
2) Exporting the messages from Windows Mail
3) In Outlook 2007, Selecting File – Import and Export – Import Internet Mail and Addresses
4) Select Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x or Windows Mail
5) Check the Import Mail and Import Address book boxes and press
Next
6) In the Import Addresses window you can set how you want duplicates to be handled – Select the option and click
Finish

How can I delete saved messages from my iphone 5s to be able to update it?

I have needed to update my Iphone 5s from the past 2 updates but it says that I have 4.2 GB of saved messages. I don't know where to go to delete them. I delete regular messages from my phone daily so I'm not sure what is being saved and where.

You would need to set up your mail account as a POP account instead of IMAP.

How do you delete 'SAVED MESSAGES' on iPhone 5s? It's taking up about 10GB of 32 GB capacity.

After much searching on the web and reading many (sometimes amusing) posts on this topic here is what I have found.
In Settings>General>Usage my saved mesages were using 3.2Gb and no apparently immediate way of deleting them.
However as the good book says "seek and ye shall find".
SO this is where I went:
Settings>iCloud>Account> then scroll down to ADVANCED and select Mail; again scroll down to the bottom and select Advanced and yet again scroll to the bottom (well at least to DELETED MESSAGES) and tap on the line called Remove.
Here at last you will find a setting that enables you to select the period after which iOS will remove your deleted messages.
The shortest period is one day so you will haev to wait 24 hours to finally have that memory back but it should work and is a nice feature in iOS although it is well burried!!

My iPad 2 does exactly the same thing. But I just have to go on to my wifi options and you can either forget this network and then press it again or you can turn wifi off and on again and press that wifi.

I have cleared all apps from my ipad. How do yo get rid of calendars and delete saved messages which is taking all mt storagw

I have cleared all apps but still not able to download a rented movie. The only spot where I have data stored is in saved messages andd calendars. Cannot find the saved messages and cannot delete calendars. Any other suggestions because this was a very stupid purchase if you only have enough storage for the standard apps.

Go to: Settings>General>Usage>and see what is eating up all of your memory. After you find what is eating up most of your memory just delete it thru:Settings>General>Usage. I would not think your calendars and messages would take up all of your memory.

Sync gmail messages between outlook 2003 on my hom...

I've been reading a lot of posts on this forum and other pages on the net, but I couldn't find anything similar to my problem.
I have a E51 with the latest version of PC suite; and I am using Outlook 2003 on a WinXP SP2 machine.
PC suite does not give me the possibility to sync messages with Outlook (if it does, then it doesn't work for me). It only syncs calendar items, notes and contacts, which are all of secondary importance for me.
Of course, this is an enterprise phone, but I am not using it with my work computer. I use it with my gmail personal address. I got the phone set up to get my emails through IMAP and my computer through POP3.
What I would like is to be able to receive and send messages from my phone while on the go and still have the possibility to retrieve all email conversations when I download my messages with Outlook.
Unfortunately, although this works fine for received emails (downloading them with my phone will not erase them from my inbox and I will still be able to download them onto my computer), it is not the case with sent emails. These are stored in my phone memory as well as on gmail webmail under sent items, but they won't be set as part of the conversation in the inbox and will therefore not download onto my PC. And even if I move them manually to the inbox, they will be moved there in the webmail interface but Outlook will still not download them.
I would like to be able to save the history of some email exchanges from that particular gmail mailbox onto the computer (of course I don't need the whole history on my phone), and I find it a pain to have to go through the phone web browser to read and write my mail, so I would be really greatful if someone could tell me how to do it.
I could also change my email client to be something else than outlook if it makes it possible, but I don't think this issue is down to Outlook.

In Mail, Contacts, Calendarts>Add Account
Add a MobileMe or Other?
If I choose MobileMe, it asks for my MobileMe account. If I enter that info, it tells me I already have that account set up, which I do.
So I clicked the Create Free Apple ID button on the same screen, below.
This goes to a New Apple ID page
I enter location and DOB
This goes to a New Apple ID page
I enter all of the information as required, then click Done
I get an error:
Cannot Create Apple ID
If you have an @me.com email address, sign in using your MobileMe password
This takes me back to where I started without a solution.

Using PowerShell to Copy the content of a Word Document and Paste that content into a New Message in Outlook

So, I'm a little new to PowerShell and I came across a PowerShell which allow me to copy the content od a spreadsheet, into the new message in Outlook 2007. I have search and search on a way to do the same with a Word Document. I would like to
create a PowerShell Script that copies the content of a Word Document and paste that content in an email message.

My requirements are the Word documents are a template of sorts. The document will be changes prior to its email with some changes. The other twist is that the customer might more that one recipients, and each recipient will have to have a separate
email, with the same content of the word document.
For example: Say I'm doing maintenance. The Word doc might descript that maintenance, in a set format. Once save the script is run to generate 3 to 10 email with separate recipients with the body of the email containing what was in the Word document.

I am a bit ignorant when it comes to my iphone 4. Can somone help me delete saved text messages? I have tried to delete them one by one in my messages, but it still says that I have 2.3 saved messages. I just want to free up space on my phone.

There's no way to delete all message threads at one go. You can however do one contact thread at a time.
In Messages app where you see a list of messages from different contacts, tap Edit (top left), tap the red (on the left), then tap the red Delete button on the right.

Can no longer see old or saved messages in iphone mail inbox

I updated my phones software yesterday upon request and now i can no longer see old or saved messages in my inbox. I can see the n ew ones when they arrive, and this problem is restricted only to the inbox as i can see messages in the junk and sent folders fine.
Hope someone can help!

Try a reset of the device by pressing and holding the home and power button for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

TS2755 How do i get rid of the "saved messages" on my iphone?

Firstly you DO NOT have to do a factory reset / wipe device, it is simply not required to get the space back!!
Mine had 3GB and I just got rid of it all, here is how:
Make a backup in iTunes
open iBackupBot (Google it)
Go to the relevant backup
Click on Multimedia File Manager and click on the other Multimedia files tab
Sort by filename by clicking the Filename tab
Find MediaDomain/Library/SMS/Attachments and highlight all of them, then press delete. You can also click to export to a folder of your choice, if you want to save them that is.
Then go to System Files>MediaDomain>Library>SMS>Attachments
They will be all listed here, highlight them all and press delete
Then just restore that backup using iTunes!
Tadaa! Space recovered, your messages are still there but without the attachments!
P.S You may want to make two backups in case you get any of the above steps wrong, but it is simple to follow the above and not do anything wrong!
