Scan a Pin barcode

my blackberry curve is 8520
when i click the scan a pin barcode in BBM the camera hangs up. what should i do so that it whould be fix again?

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Now, try the scan again.

Scanning of 2D barcodes

Hi,
I have created a 2D barcode via a SMARTFORM by concatenating several fields into one barcode field. Each individual field is suffixed by '\&'. The barcode appears to print O.K. but will not scan. I am using the same scanner which I use for scanning linear barcodes and it works fine. Do I need a specific scanner to scan 2D barcodes please. The 2D symbology used is PD417. Also, is the method of concatenating the fields correct or do I need to include other control characters, please.

I posted the PDF to show the funky characters; here's the text. I'm wondering if there's not something different when you paste it in versus when it's scanned in. Keep in mind that this crashes LabVIEW even if the VI isn't running. This makes me think that something changed between versions 8.5 and 8.5.
Another interesting thing to consider is that I see question marks where you show decimal points.

Pin Barcode

I have a blackberry curve 9300 and I am new to the whole blackberry world. So I was wondering how do I scan a bar code that doesn't have to do with a contact. I mean with bar codes on posters or flyers can anyone tell me how to do this. Because I am very confused over this whole pin bar code thing so if some one can explain this to me I would be very happy.

How to delete the "S" in the scanned Serial Number Barcodes after it has been received?

I scanned Serial Numbers but after receiving them I noticed it contained the "S" (serial) in the serial number which isn't part of the serial number.. How can I go back in and edit the serial numbers to remove the "S"?

Hi Dave,
My first advice would be to record the S in the serial number.
But if you can't, one way to solve it would be to ask an ABAPer to implement an enhancement in function CONVERSION_EXIT_GERNR_INPUT to remove first character of serial number if it's an "S".
This is not a complete solution because you might have another serial number with a legit "S" as first character, so the programmer should limit this change as much as possible to your business case.

I want to limit the number of scan done by a barcode scanner to 50, how can i do that

I am scanning data from my 2d barcode scanner, now i want that after 50 scans my barcode scanner should prompt that scanning of 50 barcode complete, how can i do that? i know logic might be easy but its not sticking me. Please help.

Everytime you get a valid scan increment a counter and compare with 50. If limit is reached you are done.

Intermec CK31 Barcode Scanning Issues

Hello,
Has anyone experienced issues with MI 2.5 CrEme 3.26 running on a CK31 / CE.NET 4.2. We are having issues of barcodes partially scanning into AWT text fields(ie first few characters with every other character scanning). The application works fine on another intermec device with windows mobile.

Hi Josh!
It could be one of the 2 issues
(1) The Scanner integrated with the CK31 doesnot scan correctly.Very less possibility for this.
(2) The software that is running your application is not able to interpret the scan and display it into AWT text fields.
For #1 you can try to scan the barcode outside your AWT application in any input field and could confirm the scanner is scanning the entire barcode.
For #2 are you able to Hand Key in the entire barcode value in to your field.
Hope you might have tried these options already.If so then it confirms that the issue is related to running your application on a CK31 / CE.NET 4.2

If you scanned a QR Barcode, it would have opened up a webpage or whatever the source of the QR code linked to... do you know what kind of bar code you scanned?

Time stamp and barcode into .xls spreadsheet

Hello, I am pretty new to programming in Labview and I have a few issues I need to get worked out. I am using a "Prompt User for Input" asking for a units barcode if there is a failure. So when the message prompts I have the user scan in a barcode and this needs to be sent to a .xls file. Numbers will go into the .xls file but the barcodes I am using have dashes(-) in them and when these barcodes get scanned Labview sends a zero to the spreadsheet. If I manually send numbers they will write to the spreadsheet. I also need a timestamp of when the barcode was scanned to get written to the spreadsheet as well. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you should be setting the Prompt User input as a string instead of a numeric if you want to preserve the dashes. Use a Get Date/Time String function along with the prompt.

Primary Barcode and Secondary Barcode

Hi Experts ,
Please let me know if its a good practice to have a Primary Barcode with with product number and a secondary barcode with fields of batch number,Expiration date and quantity in the product label.
Also i would like to know if we need to have a secondary barcode if we have a Storage unit number Barcode on the pallet . Will the storage unit barcode give the information of materials or will the fields get populated in the RF device once we scan the SU barcode .
If its possible to populate the fields (material number,batch,quantity and expiration date ) once we scan the SU Barcode then i ll just give a proposal to have only a primary barcode and a SU barcode.
Your advise will be appreciated.

Welcome
You can use BBM for that purpose just Open BBM and then click "Scan a Group Barcode". When it is in focus, it will prompt you if you would like it to open the site or download link.
Or open BlackBerry App World press the menu key -Scan a Barcode.
But still if you want some other then have a look BlackBerry barcode and scanner apps decoded

Customized barcode option are available in Livecycle Desginer ES

Hi all,
I am new to using Adobe Livecycle Designer ES 8.2.
Issue:
In Adobe output designer customized the barcode options is available. If I want to change the black and white barcode lines, I have modified the “Config file” in Adobe output designer. It is printing perfectly.
I need to modify the black and white barcode lines in Adobe Livecycle Designer ES any options are available. Plz let me know....

Yes, It is possible in "Adobe Output Designer". If i modified the "config files" It has printed perfectly and it has scanned perfect in barcode scanner.
My question is how to modify the white and black barcode lines in Adobe Livecycle Designer.
Any options are welcome...

Bar code scanning problem

I have a problem in scanning barcode. I'm using C128A barcode in the smartstyle in character format. It is getting printed in the form. But i'm unable to scan it using barcode reader. Please help me out in this as it is a critical issue. Please do the needful.

You can read barcode directly to the field you want in smartforms. (unless... you have complex data coded in the barcode - for example if you're using an ean-ucc 128 compliant code and you're sending several fields in a single code ... In this case, an interface is almost mandatory because you must interpret the data fields according to the ucc standard, split the code into several fields .... and .... pure programming logic ).
To put it clear: if you have to read, for example, a barcode that holds the legal number of an invoice using a barcode scanner and this number should be sent to migo-> bktxt then you don't need an interface. The scanner itself acts like a fast operator entering the characters using a keyboard and filling in the field.
We're reading barcodes in several places (when we finish each pallet, when we receive an invoice, and so on. Each case is a different screen. We arent using an ascii file to read these barcodes. Furthermore, we read the invoice legal number into migo bktxt field (Head Text).
Just check the barcode you are trying to scan.

XMII/HTML Scan Input

Hello All,
Does XMII have the ability to use scanned data as input parameters on the irpt pages for mobile devices.
To Elaborate: I have a simple IRPT page with a text box and a button. When the user puts in an equipment number in the text box and submits a query is returned based on the input parameter. Now instead of typing in the equipment number, is it possible to scan (we have an intermec cn3 device) the number and can that scanned number somehow be used as the query parameter.
I'm not sure if this question belongs on the XMII forum or it may be more of an html/cn3 related question but any nudge in the right direction is appreciated.

The function of a barcode input device is to decode the barcode into text and place that text wherever the cursor happens to be. So for example, in your web page, if the text cursor is in the input box and you scan in a barcode to that device, the scanner should convert the barcode to text and enter the decoded text in the input box. The user will then hit the button to perform whatever action.
Also note that some barcode scanners can be configured to perform some action after each scan. So for example, depending on your barcode scanner, you could configure it to simulate a "Enter" command. This would allow the user to scan a barcode and then scanner would place the decoded text in the input box and then fire a Enter command (thus virtually clicking the button).

System should take automatically to next line after scanning serial number

When in SAP serial selection screen i scan serial number(barcode) with scanner system should take me to next line after population of serial number in one line is completed.
In delivery in select serial numbers window against serial number field in multiple selection if i scan barcode a single serial number is populated in one field after this system doesnt take me to next field automatically ,I am manually taking the cursor to next line.
If i scan the barcodes with the same scanner in Excel file cursor moves automatically to next line.I want same in SAP

Excel as a barcode scanner- Is it possible?

Hello all,
I'm working with a spreadsheet that contains the several codes that will be converted to barcode. Those barcodes will then be scanned by a barcode scanner into another software.
Trying to improve my time I start to think about one possible solution. The solution is:
Is there any code that I can use to make excel to send those codes to this program, acting like a Scanner, or better saying like a fake scanner.
I have found several tutorials about how to send the barcode from the scanner to excel. But my goal is send the barcode (code) from excel to another software.

According to your description, I thinks we may split the process to analyze the issue.
First, we could get the cell value by using macro in Excel, please refer to this link:
