Schedule 4 jobs for conversion scan

We upgrade 46C to ECC6+EHP4.
When run "Table w/o language info", We are told by SAP there will be 4 jobs for this scan.
Anyway I can only see one job to be defined, i.e. it does NOT pop up the second, 3rd, 4th job
to be defined.
Could you please tell me why?

please have a look at the Unicode conversion Guide:
Excerpt (begin):
Select Schedule Worker Jobs from the toolbar, and then set the time and date for the worker job.
You can run multiple jobs simultaneously, but you must add a suffix to the second and all subsequent jobs.
Excerpt (end):
Hence you have to change the job name (add a suffix) if you want to run several jobs.

Background Processing
Prerequisites
You have started the message monitor on the initial screen of the PCK and are in Background Processing.
Features
Archiving
You require two archiving sessions to archive messages:
●     One session to write the messages to the archive
●     One session to delete the persisted messages that have been archived
To do this, you schedule an archiving job, which implicitly schedules the sessions to write to the archive and delete the archived messages.
You can define one or more rules for each archiving job; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be archived by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
All information that is displayed for a message in message monitoring is archived, in addition to the audit log for each message.
Deleting
A standard delete job is created automatically. It runs once a day. You can schedule additional delete jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
Restarting
Instead of restarting messages with errors manually with message monitoring, you can schedule a job to automatically restart these messages. This is possible for all messages for which the number of defined restart attempts has been exceeded (messages with the system error status).
You can define one or more rules for each job to restart messages; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be restarted by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
Rescheduling
A standard job to reschedule messages is created automatically. The job runs once a day and ensures that messages lost as a result of database failure, for example, are rescheduled. You can schedule additional rescheduling jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.

Till now we have seen how to resubmit/restart message that failed in Integration Engine. One a message makes it from Integration Engine to Adapter Engine, the message is flagged as checked in Integration Engine. The status of the message in Adapter engine does not effect the processed state in Integration Engine. Now if this message was asynchronous, XI will by default try to restart the message 3 times at intervals of 5 minutes before the status of the message is changed from Waiting to System Error .
*how can i schedule a job to automatically restart these messages with errors?

Hello,
Go into transaction code RSPC and then select the particular process chain by going into the edit mode and in the menu...
Look for Execution --> Remove from Schedule.

In Brtools you can always see the "Command line" before executing an action, You can simply copy that and use it to run BRTOOLS command from prompt, You can make a script with it and schedule via Cron.

How to schedule job for APDs?

Does anyone have an idea how to schedule a job for APDs? There is a program called "RSAN_PROCESS_EXECUTE" and it can be scheduled, but it needs to be run with the specific APD. I will appreciate any help with points,

I don't know what you mean when you say " ....needs to be run with the specific APD", but you can use the program to execute your APD in process chain by creating a variant, if you want to manually schedule, you can do so as well, rsanbw-> display the APD and schedule Icon on the top menu bar, that will give you scheduling options.

I tried to schedule the job for collective update after I set the job parameter in tcode LBWE for LO Data Extraction. But they said 'Error generating job' without any description why.
Maybe you can help me about this since I still can't do the delta extraction for LO.

Hi!
You have to pass two parameters for job control scheduling.In that you have traffic light for the respective parameters,defaulty those will appear in red.when you have specified parameters,both turns in to green.then you can say start.hope this will helps.....

The selection screen cannot be saved to create a variant that can be then used in creating the job in SM36.

Did you use Extras -> Selection Variant -> Create option from the menu path to create a new variant. You should be able to create a variant.

I am looking for the same feature for UC's. Is there a way to schedule an import job for the transports of UC's on a hourly basis?
Both the Maintenance Cycle and the Urgent Changes use differenct tasklist variants. The Urgent Change Tasklist Variant does not contain any jobs which can be scheduled.
Can you please explain how I can make the Maintenance Ccycle import job pick up UC's?
As you have mentioned I have executed the reports:
/tmwflow/scma_btch_sync_uc
/tmwflow/scma_btch_sync_test
But my hourly report /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_IMPORT is only looking for Maintenance Cycle transport and does nothing with UC's.
Please advise.

Edit cycles in Scheduled Jobs for Hyperion 11

I have created a scheduled job that has several cycles. The job is not running correctly and I can't find where to edit the cycles that I have already built, nor can I find documentation. I am running Oracle EMP with Hyperion 11.1.1.2

The following instructions assume that you saved your cycle definitions as a set of named parameters, otherwise you'll have to start again.
So right mouse over your job and choose Manage Job Schedules. Right mouse over the relevant schedule and choose Show Parameters. Right mouse over the parameters and choose Modify. Then you can modify the existing cycle(s) and add more if you so wish.

Schedule Jobs for different timezone

I have a procedure which needs to be scheduled for different timezones based on one of the column in the table (ex: region).
If region is California, it needs to be scheduled at 8:00am, if Newyork at 6:00am.

Schedule jobs - for online reorganization

We reorganized online some tables from tablespace PSAPSR3.
I would like to make this a regular task, and schedule it on SAP as a job.
Is it possible to do this in SAP ?

First of all, take the advice from Stefan regarding silver bullet. In my opinion it is very seldom necessary to reorg a table periodically. All you do is adding work to the database.
Second again, i would prefer a simple cronjob or scheduled task, we do our stuff that way.
Third i think it is possible to schedule tasks with BRStudio, but i don't know anybody who ever did this. Does the BRStudio even still exist?
But i did not post to repeat stuff already said. Now i am going to tell you how to schedule the reorgs in DB13. One warning though, this is not official and quite dirty. You will have to check/redo the work after an upgrade/kernel patch. Use at your own risk!
My idea was to change the options of one of the unused commands (Initialize Tape) in DB13 to do a brspace tbreorg. In my example i did a reorg on tables T000 and T001. This is how you do it:
- SE16 -> SDBAC -> SHORTCUT: SDBAC / DBSYS: ORACLE
- change these values:
SHORTNAM: TableReorg
LONGNAME: Online Reorg of tables T000 and T001
CNAME: ZBRSPACE
PSTRING: -u / -c force -f tbreorg -a reorg -t T000,T001
- SM49 -> create a new OS command ZBRSPACE simply with brspace as command
- finally you will need to change the owner of the brspace binary from sidadm to orasid and set the setuid bit
chown ora<sid> brspace
chmod 4775 brspace
Now you can schedule the Reorg easily in DB13, have fun!
