Scheduler for Export Table utility using PL/SQL developer

Hi,
Is there any way by which i can schdule manually export tables from a user using PL/SQL developer 'Export Tables' utility.
As i have lot many schema a for each i have to manually exporting all tables using this utility.
Please suggest.
Thanks,

My suggestion is you re-ask this question on the forums of the vendor of PL/SQL Developer, Allround automations, http://www.allroundautomations.com
If you are asking about SQL Developer, it has it's own forum on OTN.

    Hello,
    do you mean PL/SQL developer from Allroundautomation? Then this is the wrong forum.
    Do you mean the export feature from SQL Developer, that you can invoke on right click in a result pane? You cannot automate it.
    But if you tell us more about your requirements we might be able to find a good solution for you. Yet this is a question for the {forum:id=75} forum. There is a FAQ {message:id=9360007}. This combined with dbms_scheduler or a scheduled job on your computer might solve the problem.

  • SQL Server table capture using Oracle SQL Developer

    Hello,
    I need to know how to set up the Oracle SQL Developer to captuer SQL Server table with correct field precision. For some reason, all NVARCHAR field precision sizes are the double of the original precision size after capturing the table.
    Example:
    SQL Server table 'A' with the following field:
    name NVARCHAR( 50)
    after table capture becomes:
    name NVARCHAR2(100)
    which is double of the original precision.
    Any feed back or input is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • Accessing MySQL InnoDB tables via JDBC using Oracle SQL Developer

    I had posted a problem in the Oracle SQL Developer forum with how that application (v1.1) accesses MySQL InnoDB tables and someone replied that the "[data migration] team created the integration with MySQL", so I am posting here in hopes of learning more about the problem.
    Here's a summary:
    When I use Oracle SQL Developer to query MySQL InnoDB tables, I need to issue a "commit" before I do each query to ensure that I am getting current results. Otherwise, it appears to be using a snapshot as-of the last commit. Is this a problem with SQL Developer, or a JDBC configuration, or MySQL problem even?
    The full details are here:

  • Getting the schema using Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.1

    I need to generate a report in CSV/XLS format using Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.1 to get the schema details
    in the below format.
    Table Name: XXXXXXXXX
    Table Space Name: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Structure :
    Field Name Data Type Size
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx
    Field level constraint:
    Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Table Level Constraint:
    Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Indexes:
    Index Name Column Name(s) Table space name
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx
    Xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx
    Sequence Number:
    Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Triggers:
    Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    I am using a query to do that, but I cannot run more than one queries in the Create Report Dialog.
    I went to the Menu->View->Reports. In that, I chose User Defined Reports, created a new folder called Schema Detail and in that a report named Schema Detail. I right click on that report, choose Edit option, Create Report Dialog opens.
    In the Create Report Dialog, I chose the option Script for Value of Style.
    In the SQL column I enter a query "select * from table_names". But, if I enter another query after that, it does not run and reports an error "SQL Error: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    00933. 00000 - SQL command not properly ended" Cause:    Action: "
    I end the first query with a semi colon, but it does not work.
    The queries run fine in a SQL Worksheet. There, I can terminate the first query with a semi colon and enter the second query. Then, I run both of them together so that result-set of second query appears after the second.
    Am I doing something wrong? Can someone please advise on how to get the information I need?
    Thanks a lot.

    You can do it in SQL Worksheet because you are running a script. You could run the script in SQL*Plus, and even start it from a bat/cmd file.
    Or if you want this as a User Defined Report, you might make it a PL/SQL style report. Here, all output is done through DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT or DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE. You can output HTML tags or plain text. I have an example in my paper for ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2009.

  • Memory used by SQL Developer

    Hello
    I was running a query with output of around 9 lakh records. I did this with Toad earlier and now I tried with SQL Developer.
    I found a difference like this.
    When in toad the records were being fetched the memory used by Toad was not getting increased as shown in the Task manager processes. While the PF Usage was getting increased which I understand is SWAP file. When all the rows were received this increase was approximately same as the file I created after exporting that data.
    In case of SQL Developer the memory used by SQL developer itself goes on increasing.
    Will this have impact on machines actual RAM being used ?
    or In other words is Toad using swap memory directly rather than consuming RAM for saving file output ?
    Regards
    Sanjeev

    I believe the difference could be that toad fetches each record and automatically flushes it to the output file while SQL Developer might keep all the records in memory or use a different file handling method. Basically what you said sounds as a reasonable assumption.

  • Can I use Oracle SQL Developer to "Move" data?

    Hello,
    I'm new to Oracle and I'm trying to use Oracle SQL Developer to export data from one table (on server A) to another table (on sever B). I'm able to create a .ldr file but I don't know how to use the .ldr file in Oracle SQL Developer? I would appreciate any help you can provide.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    The name of tables are different ?
    If I understood then try this below:
    e.g:
    C:\> exp user/password@connectionA file=maytable.dmp tables=SAFETYADMIN_TBL_0022_43
    C:\> imp user/password@connectionB file=mytable.dmp full=y
    After this import, then you can:
    [pre]
    C:\>sqlplus user/password@connectionB
    SQL> insert into SAFETYUSER_TBL_0022_44
         select * from SAFETYADMIN_TBL_0022_43;
    SQL> drop table SAFETYADMIN_TBL_0022_43;Feedback if this is not that you want.
    Cheers

  • Viewing table relations inside Oracle SQL Developer

    Hi,
    I'm a PL/SQL beginner and I need to control the table relations for an Oracle database. I'm using the Oracle SQL developer tool.

    I don't think that applies here 1041141 mentioned he is a beginner and did not mention any usage of object types.

    Hi,
    One prior post discussing the use of Java 7 is:
    SQL Developer 3.0  and Java SE 7?
    There is no need to uninstall any Java version (except if you have disk space constraints) and no problem switching between Java versions. This may be controlled in the sqldeveloper.conf file in your ...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin directory via the SetJavaHome line. For example:
    #SetJavaHome ../../jdk
    SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_26
    #SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0Regards,

  • Optimizing an SQL Query using Oracle SQL Developer

    Hi ,
    Currently i am using Oracle SQL Developer as my Database IDE .
    Is it possible to use Orqcles SQLDeveloper for the purpose of Optimizing an SQL Query ??
    For example assume i am having a query as :
    Select from Tranac_Master where CUST_STATAUS='Y' and JCC_REPORT='N'*
    Could anybody please tell me how can i use Oracle SQL Developer to optimize this query or any other SQL queries ??
    Please share your ideas , thanks in advance .

    1. Your query looks very simplistic as it is, so I fail to see how you can better optimise it (unless 'Tranac_Master' is a view, in which case I'd need to see the view details).
    2. No tool can automagically optimise your SQL to any degree of practical use. Very minor adjustments may be possible automatically, but really it is a question of you knowing your data & database design accurately, and then you applying your expert knowledge to tune it.

  • Problem Dropping Objects in Oracle XE using PL/SQL Developer

    Hi all,
    I am using PL/SQL Developer to access Oracle XE. I created some tables and later dropped them. But I still see some objects in the PL/SQL Developer Browser under the Tables section.
    Below is the name of the objects in I see:
    bin$fj7zj7y9rhqujmwrz1zmtg==$0,
    bin$frxjknkot4cwtkexm4wtca==$0,
    bin$q2m8wls+s72szfufb+mnzw==$0,

    bin$oyrdsi+us+yhhoprzdingq==$0,
    bin$vtk7saqqtecbhmdwpnp1bg==$0,
    bin$x1hhdhy+trmfponyldjwdw==$0
    When I tried dropping these objects, I get ORA - 00933: SQL Command not properly ended. Error deleting bin$fj7zj7y9rhqujmwrz1zmtg==$0
    How do I resolve this problem? And then drop all those objects listed above.
    Is it possible to drop those objects at all?
    Thanks in advance.
    Sam.

    There is no problem sofar. The objects you see are dropped objects ( if you drop it, oracle silently rename the object but preserve it as long you have sufficient space ).
    You shouldn't drop them if you don't have issue with free space - they enable you to get back accidentally dropped table without to have restore the backup ( flashback table). If you are annoyed by displaying it in PL SQL Developer, you can just add a filter to not show them to you ( all objects like 'bin%' ) or you can update to newrer version of PL SQL Developer ( i've 7.0.0.1050 and it is displayed properly, all dropped objects can be found under recyclebin folder ). Finally , if you want purge them, use the 'purge recyclebin' command.

    Had the same problem myself. I tried this and it worked. Mind you, BOTH Oracle XE and PL/SQL Developer have to be on same machines. I have WinXPSP2. Change the installation paths as per your settings in the examples below.
