Scheduling agreements in mrp ?

Hi Gurus,
please explain the over all scope of  scheduling agreements in MRP. my requirement is like if i run MRP for A FERT Material at MD03 it has to consider the sto  scheduling agreement  which is all ready created with sales depot.
1. wiil the system considers the sto sch agreements if we run the mrp ?(Material will supplied to sales depot through sto sch agreements ).
2. what is the scope of using special procurement key 40 and 45 (can we use these keys if we procure materials  from more than one plant trough sto sch process ?
3. what are the mrp settings we need to do for scheduling agreements?
please clarify my doubts .
Best Regards,
Mahesh.

Hello
What you observe on your system is according to the standard system design. Please refer to the following information, provided on question 6 of the FAQ note 550568, which explains the system behaviour:
6.  Question:
There are several requirements on one day. Is it possible that the
MRP creates a separate procurement proposal for every requirement?
    Answer:
Same as for the daily lot size with a number of periods = 1 (lot
size TB), requirements of one day are also grouped into one
procurement proposal for the lot-for-lot order quantity (lot size
EX) (see documentation for the lot-for-lot order quantity). Separate
procurement proposals can be achieved only if you work with
make-to-order production. Here, the requirements are managed in
separate planning segments of the stock/requirements list.
I suggest you to work with make-to-order sales scheduling agreement. In this case, system will create separated sales order stock for each document. You can test make-to-order setting planning strategy 20 for your material on tab MRP3 of the material master.

  • Order of delivery schedule line counter at schedule agreements from MRP run

Currently we are using schedule agreements for our long term external suppliers, but we are facing a problem with the order of new delivery schedule lines created during MRP run.
Because of master data settings like, lot size, rounding value, plan delivery time and planning time fence to set as firm new requirements, multiple schedule lines are created with no order for schedule line counter.
Does anyone is aware of a BADI, user exit or customizing control to have this schedule line counter in order?

  • Scheduling agreement in MRP

I have created a scheduling agreement for a material for 50000. There are dependent requirements on this material which creates scheduling lines. When the cumulative quantity of scheduling lines is greater than 50000 I want MRP to create purchase requisitions instead of scheduling lines based on dependent requirements. Is this possible thru configuration. Currently it creates scheduling lines even after the cumulative quantity is greater than the scheduling agreement quantity of 50000.
    thanks a lot

    Hi,
I think that you can achieve this by using Quota Arrangement definition.

  • Schedule lines on scheduling agreement by MRP

    Hello,
we use MRP to generate delivery schedules on a purchasing scheduling agreement. The vendor of the material has a limited capacity but when the need of our customer is very big MRP generates schedule lines on one date (too many for the vendor too handle).
Is it possible to limit the amount of a schedule line per period (for example we allow to generate 100 tons per week, if the need is 500 tons it should be splitted into 5 schedule lines over 5 weeks).
    Thank you for your help!!!!

    Hello,
the weekly lot size generates lots per week but this answers only a part of my problem.
example: vendor can produce 50 tons per week
    need is 200 tons
with a weekly lot size and a maximum lot size of 50 the system proposes 4 schedule lines of 50 tons on the same week and this is not what I want. I want 1 schedule line of 50 ton on the week and the rest on the weeks in the future.

  • To generate Schedule lines for scheduling Agreement when MRP is run.

    Hi,
Please help advise on my following requirement:
When I run the MRP for 'Single Item - Multi level' (MD02) for a material, I want MRP to generate delivery schedule lines for that material in Scheduling agreement.
Please advise as to how i can go about with this.
    Regards,
    Manju

    Hi Manju,
For this you need to set creation indoactor for planning run in SPRO.
The path is spro-MM-CBP-Carry out overall maintenance of plant parameters-Click on maintain-give your plant-click on external procurement under planning run-here you can give your option for the schedule line creation.
Traction code is omi8. Hope this will help you.

  • Planned delivery time in Scheduling agreement and MRP

    Hello,
Do you know is it possible to determine system so that MRP run will consider the planned delivery time from the scheduling agreement line instead of material master? Now the system read planned delivery time from material master when creating schedule lines automatically by MRP-run.
    Regards, jaana

    This can be customized in
    SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
    -> Production
    --> Material Requirements Planning
    ---> Planning
    > Procurement Proposals
    > Define External Procurement
Here you can select the indicator "Scheduling according to purchasing info record or agreement" either at plant or MRP group level.

  • Firm scheduling agreement in MRP

    Hi gurus,
We are maintaining scheduling agrements in ME38 manually. system shows firm schedule lines in md04 screen. When we run MRP system does not consider or minus stocks and create planned order equals to the requirements. we need this scenario in this way that when we run MRP so system should minus stock if it finds schedule agreements, PO etc.
    Please suggest.

    Hi
In T.code OPPQcheck rescheduling horizon days for your plant. If the number of days are less than your delivery date then it will not consider. you need to change your rescheduling horizon days.
And I belive you have done setting right in OMIN for Scheduling agreement.

    Hi Majid,
As per stanrd sap mrp process , system has to consider the current stock level/ available procureemnt prosposals in mrp calculation.
Are you using gross planning (PS 11)? what is the mrp type for the material.

  • Stock on hand vs stock required from Scheduling agreement from MRP not MD04

    Hi SAP Guru's,
1.Currently on 4.6C and client requires a report to view similar to MD04 with capability of multiple materials and vendors and way of summarizing the future requirements and current receipts?
Right now with MD04 we can see for one material current and future Scheduling aggrements(SA) but does not have a report to tell how many are past due (other than going back to look at SA to view cummulative qty).
2.Curretly MRP PD is using SA aggrements for the semi-finished mateirals for planning and maintaining Safety stock and Goods receipt date in Material master to control the schedules? as system generated SA quantities vary with high differences - for example weekly requirement for material A is 480 parts from Vendor A and Vendor delivers on plaaning cycle Tue and Thurs and daily end of the day 65-85 Production orders are confirmed and backflush happens and then MRP runs but instead of 240 per schedule it is splitting 360 once and 220 etc i mean the quantities are very high fluctations and vendor cannot delivery these variation of quantities ? needs your input where the issue is happening and also client want to use Reorder point Qty instead which is not in use currently.
Appreciates everyone time and your help.

  • Capacity in scheduling agreement

    Hi,
The documentation says we can assign transportation capacity and vendor capacity in scheduling agreements in ECC. Can you tell me which field in scheduling agreements are related to  transportation capacity and vendor capacity?
I am new to scheduling agreements so please be a little elaborate.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    For all of your queries;
ME01 - Maintain Source List for the materials
Here maintain, Vendor, Plant, Purchase Org, most important input Scheduling Agreement No  in Agreement column and  in "MRP" column, use "2" i.e. Record relevant to MRP. Sched. lines generated automatically
Now run MRP and observe the result, it will consider Scheduling Agreement in MRP.

  • Scheduling Agreement & Planning Time Fence

    Hello,
I read a lot of articles on Planning Time Fence and the MRP Types P1 to P4 that goes with it. And I have tested it out in a Testing Environment.
But I can't get it to do what I need.
This is a normal planning with no PTF and MRP Type PD.
Sometimes we have false requirements that show up in the past due to human error. When this happens, MRP rolls during the night and adds a bunch of deliveries in the past to cover the requirement.
I wanted to use the PTF to prevent this. Meaning that extra deliveries would get added by MRP but after a PTF and not Firm deliveries. So that once the error is corrected, MRP rolls again and deleted all the extra deliveries it added.
** Only P2 and P4 adds deliveries after the PTF, but I need it to act normal on a day to day basis aswell and have MRP create deliveries like the print screen above. To add non-Firm deliveries after the PTF is just in rare cases of human error.
Not sure if my explanation is clear.
    Patricia

    Hi Patricia,
The planning time fence is there to stop MRP from making changes to requirements that fall within the planning time fence.
Your planning time fence is a rolling period which shifts by 1 day each day and is calculated as of the current date. Yesterdays date is passed so it would not make sense for a planning time fence to use a date in the past to start it's calculation.
Everything that falls before the end of the planning time fence will not be changed by MRP and you will see that all these schedule lines in MD04 will have an * assigned meaning they are firmed for MRP.
If you manually add schedule lines in the past, the planning time fence will not stop you from doing this. The planning time fence will only stop MRP from making changes.
    By the way:
If you manually add requirements to the scheduling agreement then MRP will never change these requirements as these are fixed requirements.
If your customer would add requirements in the past or you add independent requirements in the past and your current stock does not cover the requirements the system will generate schedule lines and will put these directly after the planning time fence with an exception message assigned to them.
    As a side note:
I always wonder why such questions arrive in the forum as this is something that can be very easily tested in the test environment.

  • Delivery date is no use in scheduleing agreement.

We are using scheduling agreement and automatic schduling line for purchasing.
I already maintain delivery days =2 days and GR day=2days in scheduling agreement.
after MRP running, I found the delivery days is no use.
    For example.
    requirement date:2009.04.17
MRP result: scheduling line delivery date=2009.04.15 ( !only GR day=3 is in use)
I think the delivery date should be 2009.04.13
I am using standard TB (daiy lot size and the setting for Scheduling Requirements date := delivery date)
why is the delivery date  no use in MRP running?
    tks in advance.

    Hi
If you have used GR processing time in scheduling agreement (example 2 days) if the requirement is on 25.04.2009, then proposed delivery date is for 23.04.2009. GR processing time reduces plans 2 worksday for processing and reduces 2 working days as per factory calender to propose delivery date.
Planned delivery time will not be considered if the requirement date is more closer than the planned delivery time. You will see an exception message in MRP results for that.
    Regards
    Antony
