SCORM Packager. What do owners of Master Collection do to obtain a version of Captivate with this?

This is a question for Adobe. We already own the Master Collection and just need Captivate, but we also need the SCORM Packager that is apparently only available with the eLearning Suite. The eLearning Suite would be a downgrade from the Master Collection. I am an eLearning instructional designer and yes, I edit video, I create graphics in Illustrator. We already own Master Collection and I am trial running Captivate. Without the SCORM Packager, Captivate is pretty much useless to us and I will not be able to justify purchasing it. So, Adobe, what's your solution for users like me? (I know that I am not the only one in this situation.)

So do I understand correctly that Adobe chose to eliminate the Captivate 4
feature which allowed users to create multi-SCO SCORM packages and now
requires the same users to purchase the entire eLearning Suite in order to
regain that feature? I can understand the rationale for adding the tool to
the eLearning Suite – it is a logical feature for developers who create
complex activities using Captivate or Flash. However, many of us loyal
Captivate and CS users need video tools like Premiere and Aftereffects, and
we were advised by well meaning Adobe sales staff to purchase the Master
Collection and Captivate - a strategy which worked great until Captivate 5.
I know we are a minority, but we represent a good chunk of your power users.
Is there some way we can have access to at least the Multi-SCO packager?

Maybe try associating AE project files with 5.5 instead of 6.

Your profile shows you are running Snow Leopard. Put the Safari version you now have into the Trash. You need to reinstall Snow Leopard.
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Functionally there's no difference. The difference is in the licensing.
The big UPside with the Master Collection is that you get a lot of software for one low upfront price compared to buying each software component individually.
The big DOWNside is that when a new version of Adobe software is released, you must upgrade to a suite, even if you only want to upgrade one software component such as Photoshop.
e.g.
You can upgrade Master Collection CS4 to any CS5 Suite.
You cannot upgrade an individual component (e.g. Photoshop CS4) in Master Collection CS4 to standalone Photoshop CS5.
Looking at it a different way, buying Master Collection (or any Suite) means you forfeit some flexibility in future upgrade options (Suites are your only options) and you're placing yourself on an expensive path for future upgrades (Suites only).

CS6 Master Collection "Sign In Required" (trial version) window on application startup?

This is a user to user forum - you aren't talking to Apple here. However this question has unfortunately arisen frequently and the answer isn't a happy one: only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple can neither unlock it nor trace him for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless.

I have "chosen to open Firefox Setup 5.0.1.exe" and saved the file but nothing happens, my version has not updated, I don't know what the next step should be and I'd be grateful for help with this issue.

Thank you! My solution was slightly different, but in the end, seeing what was going on in the Help menu in the browser did the trick. Turned out I had been stuck for who knows how long "downloading" a version 3! Also had a toolbar to disable but not the Ask.

Trying to install Master Collection trial, error

I've tried to install the Master Collection trial, and I manage to install everything except After Effects.
I have Windows 7, 64 bit. This is what I get:

CS5 Student Editions-Master Collection

I know this is premature, but will Adobe offer the severely-discounted student edition for Master Collection CS5?
I know the CS4 MC wasn't available as a student edition, but I thought this might change with CS5. I would highly suggest Adobe make the complete suite available at their student discount since some students need the entire suite for their projects.

Yes, I am in the US. I apologize for not clarifying. There are, at least from what I'm seeing, two different education versions. There is an academic version and a student version. The academic version is discounted, but not as much as the student version, which comes direct from Adobe. For example, on AcademicSuperstore.com, for the Design Premium package, the academic version costs $599 while the college student version costs $399. From what I could tell, Master Collection CS4 was only available in the academic version. I hope things change for CS5 as I, a college student myself, could actually afford it at the Adobe student price.

CS4 Master Collection Updated Installation Media

I am setting up a remote deployment package for CS4 Master Collection using the Development Tool Kit to use with SCCM.
I was initially using the 4 installation media provided using the steps provided in the documentation. However, they are clearly outdated now and require updating. If i download the Installation media from the http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html webpage will these have the current updates installed or will the client systems have run the updates still?
I did find the remote updating tool but it states it is for CS5 and above. Is there a similar tool for CS4?

Mikey_it please be aware the installers available at Download CS4 products are for retail licenses. If you are deploying the software then it is likely you have a volume license. In this case you will want to download the volume license installation files from https://licensing.adobe.com/.

Can't find programs... CS4 Master Collection

I have posted the responces from Tech but it seems you have to have an IT Degree for this software to work.

I did reinstall CS4 Master Collection. I first downloaded the version and after it didn't install everything I decided to purchased
the DVD's and do a physical installation. I got the same results, missing programs. I have uninstalled the first downloaded version
CS4 Master Collection before reinstalling the physical version. I am sending the log via the FTP since it is 64MB

Going through the log files you have sent , I suggest you to follow
these troubleshooting steps:
1. Run the CS4 Clean Script for windows. The link for the same is :

CS4 clean script for windows.
2 .Run Adobe Creative Suite 4 or Point Product in a new user account.
Create a new user account that has the same permissions as the account
that you use when the problem occurs. If the problem doesn't recur, then
the original user account may be damaged. For instructions on creating a
new user account, see "To add a new user to the computer" in Windows
Help or contact your system administrator.
3. Repair and defragment hard disks (Windows XP)
System errors can occur if hard disks contain damaged sectors or
fragmented files. Repair and defragment hard disks, either by using the
Error-checking tool and Disk Defragmenter utility included with Windows
or by using a third-party disk utility (for example, Symantec Norton
Utilities). You should run such utilities on each hard disk or
partition. More information about the Error-checking tool and Disk
Defragmenter appears below; for more information about a third-party
disk utility, refer to the documentation for the utility.
The Error-checking tool repairs bad sectors, lost allocation units and
file fragments, cross-linked files, and invalid file names. To access
the Error-checking tool, choose Start > My Computer, right-click the
desired hard disk, and choose Properties from the menu. In the Local
Disk Properties dialog box, click the Tools tab, and then click Check
Now in the Error-checking area.
Note: To prevent Disk Defragmenter from moving files to bad sectors of a
disk, run the Error-checking tool before running Disk Defragmenter.
Disk Defragmenter rearranges the files and free space on your computer
so that files are stored in contiguous units and free space is
consolidated in one contiguous block. To access the Disk Defragmenter
utility, choose Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk
Defragmenter.
If these troubleshooting steps don't resolve your issue then consult

I went to a Business Fair tonight and saw a couple other designer friends and I mentioned my issue and they said that my software wo
n't work because of the AMD processors. (Missing a chip set, CS worked on AMD processors, up until version 3) This is really depress

Uninstalling CS3 and Installing CS5.5 (Master Collection)

I purchased CS 5.5 master collection so that I could use the current CS3 master collection on another older machine. My question is this: What is the best way to uninstall the CS3 master collection on my current machine (Windows 7 - 64bit) so I can then install the new full version CS5.5 master collection? Also, is there anything that I need to be aware of as far as backing up on the old software settings? Just trying to avoid headaches.

The only thing you would need to worry about is any "presets" that you created yourself. So actions, swatches, brushes, etc. need to be backed up. Its best to uninstall cs3 before installing cs5 and not after as this can cause issues with file associations.
If the second computer that your were planning on putting cs3 on is your only other computer, you should be able to put cs5 on it instead, as the license is suppose to be for 2 systems, but only one can run at a time. To my knowledge this license doesn't take into consideration the version number of the software. So if cs5 if on your new system and a laptop for example, you can not put cs3 onto a third computer since the license is for what I assume to be an upgrade.
If you paid full price then the last paragraph is a moot point.

CS 6.0 Master Collection?

Adobe Muse looks super cool but it is not even part of the CS 6.0 Master Colletion. It is part of the cloud but I think that sucks. I want it in the Master Collection. I also noticed there is no Flash Catalyst anymore in the new CS 6.0 Master Collection. I will be the first to admit Muse might make Flash Cataylst obsolete but if that is the case then it should be included in the CS 6.0 Master Collection. I think Onlocation has been replaced by Prelude. I am OK with that but I would rather have Muse than Speed Grade. I think it is OK for Adobe to stop develpment of software if it is being reaplced by something better. I think Muse may make Dreamweaver and Flash Builder obsolete. I think Adobe should weed out their softwre titles but Muse should be in the Master Collection. I would have rather seen Captivate added to the CS 6.0 Master Collection than Speed Grade.

In the Edge forum the Adobe Employee ahve hinted the CS 6.0 Master Collection has not shipped yet. We may see Edge and Muse added. If not the CS 6.0 Master Collection might get a bad review as far as web design is concerned.

CS4 - Master Collection download link

I have a registered version on the master collection but purchased the disc version. My install disc is damaged and customer service says that they have no access to the download version of the product. Does anyone have a download version that I can get or the access portal that can be used for the download?
Why Adobe can't give this to me is beyond me and so far everyone that I have talked to at tech support says that they don't have access to previous versions even though they must reside on their servers.
